Shannon Smock: We ordered the beef hot pot and the three cup chicken. What a fun experience. Just be careful eating the chicken. One of the bones shattered in a piece I had and I found several small bones in each bite. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and very funny. Lulu Brinkley: Very cute place to eat. Has some amazing Taiwan dishes for sure. My favorite here is the Gua Bao (Pork Belly Bun). The bun is soft and the pork belly melts in your mouth. I could probably just eat that every time I come here. Their other dishes are wonderful as well. If you're looking for a Chinese hotpot experience, I recommend them as well.

Johnson: An incredible Taiwanese food experience in St. Louis. The Pork Belly Bun, a popular Taiwanese street snack, was pillowy soft and had the perfect balance of salty, sweet, and savory flavors. However, the $8 price tag felt a bit steep. The Signature Three Cup Chicken is delicious if you don't mind bone-in chicken. The chicken was very tender and the seasoning is a tasty combination of soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice wine. I cannot wait to come back and try the Shabu Shabu menu.

Darrell Loo: Last Thursday, I found myself in St. Louis for work and knew I had to visit Tai Ke for lunch. This Taiwanese restaurant specializes in traditional Taiwanese stir-fry and street food. I was incredibly excited, as Taiwanese cuisine always evokes a sense of nostalgia, reminding me of my time studying in Taiwan. Our meal began with braised chitterlings and pork ear, both of which are common side dishes in Taiwanese diners. We then enjoyed a scrumptious calamari stew. From the street food menu, we ordered sticky rice cubes with pork blood, fried pork chop, crispy chicken, and an oyster omelette. Each dish was delicious and transported me back to the bustling night markets of Taiwan! For our entrees, we selected the Hakka stir-fry, which features pork, celery, squid, and dried tofu, as well as a hot and spicy chitterling dish. The portions were generous and delectable. Additionally, we opted for a night market-style grilled steak, which was served over spaghetti and a fried egg, topped with black pepper sauce. Every dish was simply wonderful. Our lunch was fantastic, and we certainly indulged in more than we could handle. Tai Ke is such an exceptional place that I wouldn't hesitate to travel hundreds of miles the next time I crave Taiwanese cuisine!
Cody Cummings: I spent a good portion of 2013 living in Taiwan, and Tai Ke takes me back to Kaohsiung every time I come in for dinner. Their dishes are as authentic as it gets, and I haven’t had a single dish that wasn’t amazing. The basil stir fry eggplant is heaven, especially if you get it with some sticky rice cubes, Taiwanese sausage and a Taiwan beer. It’s one of the few places that sells pork blood soup and spicy chitterlings, but there are plenty of other great dishes for the less adventurous foodies. Please do yourself a favor and give them a try.
Christina Nguyen: Food is really good. No options for kids, no appetizers like crab Rangoon or egg rolls. More of a authentic food. Granddaughter had plain white rice because no options for kids. Nice place for lunch date to try different Asian food. I'd return without GranddaughterVegetarian options: They have plenty of veggies to choose from.
