While I understand that the brand holds a specific political ideology, one that moat days I would support, I go to Penzeys for their fantastic spices not to have their ideology shoved in my face and drilled into my head.

Angela Paridon: Penzeys is always fabulous. Right now they are doing curbside pick up. You buy online or over the phone. Tell them what day and time to pick up. And they will have your bag on a shelf outside. It's pay in advance. You can also have shipped to you. I have never had a penzeys order not show, or be incorrect. Fabulous spices and blends. Double strength vanilla is beautiful and worth every penny.

ON THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING - which has got to be one of the busiest days of the year for them.I really appreciate the prompt service. It's a shame that we can't shop inside right now, but understandable due to the circumstances. Everything was just as neatly packaged as it would have been if I had been inside, though.I really do appreciate the service and the care. Thanks!
Monica Matheny: I had a great experience with curbside pickup at Penzeys in Maplewood. They've really got it figured out. I shopped on their very user-friendly website, identified Maplewood as the store where I would pick up, and paid online. Shortly thereafter, I got a call from the Maplewood store to schedule my pick-up time. They bagged my order and left it in a crate outside their front door for me to pick up. It was completely safe and contact-free. I'm thrilled that I can continue to easily purchase my favorite spices. I am now stocked up on everything I need for the holiday season. Thanks for a superior product and great experience, Penzeys!

The employees there are experts and extremely helpful if you're not sure of what you need. I got excited to cook again, and when I used my new seasonings, they completely changed my flavor game! When I told my sons I had been there, they asked if I had gotten a seasoning I used when they're were teenagers; I hadn't - I didn't get the one they remembered from 16 years ago. I made sure I went back the next weekend to get some for all three of them.

Kevin Woelffel: Love this place. Can taste everything before you buy. Rubs, marinades, hot sauce, bbq sauce, chicken wing sauce, salsa, jams, and even dip mixes! Friendly staff and a rewards program. Do not be put off by the higher prices, it's 100% worth it. You only need a fraction of what you'd use from cheaper varieties. I can slow glaze at 3-4 full racks of ribs off 1 bottle of sauce. A bottle of run can easily be used for 8-10 racks. A little, goes such a long and tasteful way.

She showed me where some of the sauces were and I loved them. So I had to buy some. But being in there she also taught me things about the sauces and never knew that. I enjoyed my time there and makes me want to go back to have a great time. So to sum it all up, Jade made the whole place to be fantastic and a awesome experience to be in there.

Amanda Werner: I've been in this store many times and it's always such a fun visit! They sell every kind of spice imaginable along with dip mixes, soup mixes, sauces, teas, and many more. It can be a tight fit especially when it's busy but it's always worth stopping in.I recently had their teas for the first time and they are amazing! They are so flavorful and smell heavenly. They don't look like much so I was very surprised; I'll definitely keep coming back for more.
A P: Tried to buy spices today and planned on spending around $65. I found a woman who worked there and asked to check out. She looked at me and turned back around to the shelf she was stocking without saying a word to me. I asked again a moment later and was ignored. I looked for someone else in the shop and then waited at the counter for awhile thinking the check out person had to tend to something else briefly but nobody came. Oh well. I was sad I couldn’t buy what I had picked out but whatever. Some of these blends and brands I had picked out can be purchased on Amazon. I try to support local but I wasn’t able to find someone to check out my items.
Old School: If you need something for a recipe that is hard to find, this is the place you will find it.

CHANCHAL SUR CHOWDHURY: 30% of my grocery items were well above the expiration date (from months to a whole year) Fungal growth on sweets was clearly visible. Shop manager discarded the stock after I reported. I don’t give negative reviews for small local businesses. But for food items, stringent regulations should be at place. Sorry I will never return to this place again.
