Jim Pike: Outstanding experience! I needed a new pair of running shoes to help support my overpronation. Bob thoroughly analyzed my pronation and then we tried about 6 different pairs of shoes that we tested to include Bob watching me run up and down the block. They will not let you walk out of there without the perfect running shoe. I will absolutely be going back for all of my running needs!

I have never had an experience being fitted for shoes that comes close to Running Niche. They really know their stuff and bring it to your level of use and understanding. Highly recommend them!So this probably sounds weird, but I didn't want to take these shoes off before going to bed. That's how perfect a fit we're talking. Run, walk, skip, drive, etc. but have your feet take you to the Running Niche. It's what your feet have been asking you to do for them.

However, I left Running Niche feeling very confident I purchased the best pair for me.Bob picked out 4 different pairs with various levels of arch support and cushion and had me run in them to see how they felt and how they affected my gait. Katie Franke: I've been coming here for years because the shoes and the service are both the best in town. Michael fitted my son & me for shoes today, and each pair he found fit like a glove. It was hard to make a choice in the end, because they were all so perfect! I'm pretty hard to fit, so the knowledge and service they bring here makes a huge difference to me.I should also note that they don't just sell running shoes. I come here for cross training shoes, and they send me home with someone that works well for me every time. If for some reason your shoes don't work for you, they have a 30 day return policy, even if you've worn the shoes. It's great! We come here every time we need new athletic shoes.

Kenneth Warner: This is an incredible shop for runners. Everyone here is very helpful. They used the tech they have in the store to help me get the best fitting pair of running shoes I'd ever had up to that point (what are now the New Balance Vongos, which are good for heavy heel-striking runners with overpronation). I ran my first two marathons in them. When I wore them out I came back to get the same updated model. Highly recommended.

Mitch Prok: I was here this morning and helped by Michael who was very informative, nice and helpful. They use technical equipment to determine how your foot strikes the ground and recommend several shoes for you to try on and walk around the store in. I was shocked to discover that I found a shoe that was hands down more comfortable to me than any shoe I can recall in my 42 years.You don’t need to be a runner to shop at this store. If you are serious about your comfort during exercise be it walking/running/training take advantage of the technology available here. .....On a side note I walked into the store expecting to spend $200 on a pair of shoes and walked out spending only $120 on the Brooks Ghost 14. The way I see it Big River running satisfied my needs and left me with $80 extra dollars to boot. Needless to say that I will be back soon. Cheers

Getting what you've waited and saved for, and it's exactly what you want, and truly need is worth paying full price. Right now, all the stores are the same price. The online stores that were cheaper were out of everything. It wasn't much savings. Shop local. Keep the neighborhood alive. The service was awesome. Loved the store. Go in and experience old school show store service.

Chloe Fugett: I had called Fleet Fleet in Des Peres to ask about an exchange for sizing. I would plan to keep the same model of the shoe in the same color, I was strictly changing the size. The woman on the phone said I wouldn’t have to pay any additional money, as it was to be a shoe-to-shoe exchange. Upon entering the Des Peres location, the atmosphere was very hectic and the attitude received from the manager was unneeded. I understood they were busy, and waited patiently. When it came time to exchange the shoe, they mentioned I would have to pay an additional amount for the price difference, seeing as I got a military discount when making the initial purchase. Which, I was fine to do, just confused because the woman on the phone said otherwise. Both women made me out to feel belittled for my simple confusion and were simply trying to rush me out of the store. I didn’t think I was being hostile, but was treated as such. I’ve had nothing but a pleasant experience with Fleet Feet but this has made me wary of buying here anymore.

Patricia Witte: On 02/09/2022, I came to the University City store just before closing and the manager, Mike Flynn, set me up with the perfect hiking shoes for all my particular needs. I will be hiking the Camino de Santiago this spring in Spain. He took a great deal of time and demonstrated exceptional knowledge. He was very kind and courteous. Here's the thing. After all the time and considerations, it was determined that the store did not have my desired shoe nor could Big River Running Co order it, but Mike informed me that I could. He helped me order the shoe, on my phone, then and there.Fortunately, at his store, I was able to buy some excellent hiking socks and insoles that fit into my shoes beautifully.I can't say enough how positive the experience was! Hope Mike had a good marathon in Florida!

Christa Barr: I stopped by for a new pair of shoes and needed to be refitted since it had been about 7 years since the last fitting. I didn't catch his name but he took a lot of time and asked a lot of questions and was able to zero in on a perfect combination of shoe and insert to help my knee discomfort. Can't recommend enough to get a fitting done here if you have any discomfort from running or walking, they will help figure it out using an electronic pressure pad, measurements, and even testing out on a treadmill. Give them a try.

Deb S.: I'm not a runner. I have bad feet and custom orthotics, and I buy quality shoes that fit well. My almost new Brooks Adrenaline are now too small with my new orthotics. 😫My left foot is a size 9.5 and the right is a 9. Both are wide. It causes issues, believe me.Ezra worked diligently and tirelessly to help me find the right shoe -one that accommodated my orthotics, was wide, and fit both feet without feeling too big. I must have tried 6 pair.Although I left undecided and didn't make a purchase, it is because of Ezra's service that I will make the 45 minute drive to return. Thanks for being awesome, Ezra!!!!!

Susan Loyet-Williams: I purchased a pair of ASICS and was happy with the service. 2 months later I brought the shoes in because one shoe had a hole in the heel which was causing a blister. Teenager in the store said they couldn’t do anything because I wore the shoes! The teenager called “Sean” who said they would exchange for the exact same shoe. I asked what if I have the same problem? He said they would not take care of it. I voiced my dissatisfaction however; he didn’t care. These shoes were worn only on a treadmill and did not have 100 miles on them. I would never recommend this store. I would have continued to buy my shoes there and recommend. Very poor customer service in a small town.👎🏻

Gregory Reiter: Meh. Whole store basically run by teenagers who weren't very experienced with helping me, an older guy, find the right shoe. Didn't watch me run/walk in the store to get an idea of my gait. Was told I could run with them and return, for store credit, but then was told that because I ran with them outside I couldn't return them. Do yourself a favor and drive to Fleet Feet, better customer service and better analysis for choosing the right shoe

Lugaychi Turner: I entered this store today to return two pair of shoes, one for myself and the other for my spouse and to exchange one that I bought for myself that I wanted to keep because I the consumer who wore the shoes felt the right one was defective on this day the sales person was Matthew. I explained what I needed to do he looked at the shoes and then closed the lids on the first two and the one I wanted to exchange because I feel like its defective he reviewed in depth and stated he remembered my spouse speaking with the manager I believe his name was Tim but I was not present that day and them deciding that they felt like nothing was wrong with the shoe so what did I want to do about the shoe. I explained again that I wanted the shoes but the right foot was defective and wanted to swap for a new one (the shoes are not even 30 days old so within the fleet feet exchange window)! Matthew turns the shoe over and states “well I agree the shoe doesn’t have a lot of wear on it, so I can see what I have in the back but we can’t keep exchanging these shoes”! He went to the back and came back with a new pair. I asked him what did he mean by he couldn’t keep changing the shoes out? How many times had he exchanged the shoe out? He looked at the receipt and then the computer and said oh never it’s not you it’s your spouse that has returned both the shoes that were purchased! I thought that it was the policy to return a shoe within the window for return and that Fleet feet was meant for people whom have feet issues (health issues) which my spouse does and the most recent shoe being returned was a recommendation by the manager and had only been worn out the day they were purchased and the next day to work. I spent $500 bucks on shoes at this store and typically that’s about the price range 2-3 times a year for shoes here. I expected better service and professionalism.

The whole experience was warm and inviting and their Outfitter's really had an extensive knowledge on all of their products. As a runner and someone who spends a lot of time in stores I was impressed!

bgm 1961: I've said this same thing after buying my previous pair of shoes, and it hasn't changed... the staff at the St Charles location always takes all the time in the world to make sure that you're walking out the door not only with a pair of shoes that fit correctly, but also so that you're comfortable with them as well. It sucks if you're waiting in line, but is 110% worth it when you're the one being taken care of! Plus, it helps that each of the associates who've taken care of me over the years genuinely know what they're talking about. Katie took care of me for my most recent shoe purchase. She was able to knowledgably answer each of my annoying questions, knew the stock, was informed about the history of each pair she had selected for me to try, and most importantly, knew WHY she was recommending each pair of shoes to me, given my history, current condition, and analysis.

But my parents needed shoes that had good support.We walked in and were greeted instantly.We had to wait a few minutes because everyone was working with other customers. We took the time to look around and see what they had to offer.Jen came over and asked what they were looking for and then did a foot analysis so they could assess and see exactly what was needed. Jen was super professional the whole time. My mom found a pair of Hokas that they had in stock. Jen did bring out other types of shoes for my dad , but he was sold on the support that the Hokas had to offer. My dad found a pair of Hokas but wanted a different color. Jen offered shipping, and that was an easy peasy process.The store has a great variety, and you don't have to be a runner or track star to walk in here.

Delivered to your door is an option at no cost. While I served overseas they had my runners dropshipped to me, how great was that. When I call or show up the staff remembers me. Plenty of apparel options. I bought gloves and socks...all top level.
