Associate stated, “camera was stolen a month ago.” Needless to say this was a waste of time. I wouldn’t be writing this had they a. Called me the day prior considering I booked the appointment for photo and passport b. had someone behind the counter stated this earlier instead of bouncing me around from line to line and having me wait, just to say, “ Oh… I forgot our camera was stolen.” Associate also said he wouldn’t bother to assist and see if another location would honor my appointment. Diane Merritt: Today I went to the Main Post Office on 1720 Market Street. I was not certain where to park, and after passing the Post Office west-bound on Market Street I turned left at the light on 18th Street on and pulled into a parking lot at the side of the building next to a space marked “reserved for the postmaster”. Two men were getting into their car so I asked if I could park in that lot in order to mail a package - they warned me might get “ticketed by the postal police”. I saw a postal vehicle parked on 18th Street with his lights on and queried where can I park to mail a package. I couldn’t hear or understand his reply, so he said “let me turn around and follow me”. I followed his vehicle from 18th street making a right turn eastbound onto Market Street where he led me to the entrance for (free) postal customer parking. I would never have noticed this entrance as it is a bit hidden away and not directly in front of the postal building. There were several open slots. I parked, walked up a few steps and entered a building and asked the uniformed officers in the lobby “where can I mail a package”. They courteously and politely directed me to the correct entrance for the Post Office Store lobby. When I arrived in the lobby I saw about 6 people standing along the walls and took a ticket and stood in line. I was immediately called to the service counter (no waiting) by a very helpful postal employee (clerk #35) who assisted mailing my package to my son for his birthday and sold me stamps. She was very nice, kind, polite, professional and cheerful. I left and was back in my car in less than 5 minutes. This was easily one of my most pleasant post office experiences ever. Thank you.

Matt Meyerhoff: Terrible. I can never get them to deliver mail to my building. I'll get mail maybe once a month, meanwhile I have companies and people reaching out stating the mail was returned as undeliverable.I've contacted customer support multiple times and nothing has changed. If this is your local office, I guess you just get screwed.

ST L: Of all the post offices I deal with regularly, this is one of the better ones. My only complaint is that at least once a month the "systems are down" and they lock the front door middle of the day and you're just out of luck and have to go elsewhere. Since they lock the outer doors you can't even go in to lobby to drop mail in the slot. It's odd because it seems to happen once a month and I have never seen this at other Post Offices. That said... I have seen much worse issues at other POs in the St. Louis area, so for that reason I would still rate this location higher than the others. The people who work at this location are also usually pretty friendly. I have rarely come across a staff member that is not friendly here.

The clerk that served me was going through training, and her trainer was very polite and walked her through the entire process of processing an overnight package. I wish more patrons would post positive reviews to help counter everyone’s propensity for only leaving negative reviews when they feel they’ve been slighted.

Truelove Jackson: Today on April 26th, 2022 I come into the United States post office located 4021 Laclede @9:59am to ask if the mail carrier could collect all of the mail from my old apartment out of the mailbox so that I could pick it up because I no longer have access to this mailbox as I am no longer a resident. I was instructed to ring the service bell to request a supervisor to help me. I rung the bell several times from 10am until 10:36am no one ever came to see what was needed. Four other postal employees inside asked had I been serviced yet? I responded "no". Finally the young lady who originally instructed me to ring the bell for help noticed I was still standing patiently waiting for Tyra the supervisor to come from the back, Tyra never came to help the lobby to help any of the 3 customers waiting. The other two ladies that were waiting left without getting helped. I had no choice but to wait because I have very important documents in that mail. It's really sad that some employees don't come to work to actually work their jobs just pitiful that usps would employee these lazy, useless people.

I got the confirmation emails, but the service was not held and the packages were delivered anyway. They sat out in the rain for 2 days and two of the three were ruined.Update: another package was delivered while mail was supposed to be held, and this one was taken off my porch. Absolutely ridiculous that this has happened twice in six months.
Alex Davie: The worst USPS location. They do not have shipping labels accessible before entering their long waiting lines. So, instead you wait in line 15+ minutes just to get a shipping label and then you are told to fill it out and return to the back of the line just to wait another 15+ minutes. All while the staff are rude and short with their customers. If you have to drive out of the way to go to another location, do so.

I tried to ship a package to South Korea and asked Sabrina, a post service clerk, for the form I need to fill out. And, she asked me to write "South Korea" on the box and I did. After I filled out the form, I went her again to ship the package. And, she asked, "Where are you sending this, China?" And, I answered, "No, South Korea.". An, she replied, "Where are you sending this, North Korea?" And, I answered, "South Korea". And, she yelled at me, saying I should write South Korea in English on the package, which I did already, and she did not find it on the first place. This is clearly overt racism and I am very concerned and felt psychologically damaged by Sabrina's behaviors. Did she apologize for her behavior? "No."I believe USPS should equip surveillance camera or something to monitor their employees' behaviors. They do not have to be nice all the time, but they SHOULD NOT be rude to their customers.Please read others' ratings on Google reviews before you visit this place. Yes, there are few positive reviews, but if you read lowest ratings, you will read lots of similar stories. I hope USPS takes this seriously and no others go through terrible experience, like mine at this place.

She was super nice and able to give me a surprising amount of info about my package. She told me to call her back the next day to check on it, but it was delivered to my house early the next morning. TLDR: Wanda is the best.

ST L: Update: Today I walked in with a package. Zero people in line and two clerks looked like they were reading magazines. Asked for my prepaid item to be scanned and get a receipt. Clerk said “you can’t print a receipt at home?” I said the receipt is to prove I brought it here and you scanned it into the system. Unbelievable.Worst Post office in St. Louis. If you drop off here and your return address is not in their zip code they will let your mail sit for several days and then send it back to your return address zip code where it will hopefully be scanned as "accepted". This has been going on for more than a year and when I asked they admitted they do not scan dropped off mail if the return address is not their zip code. This is infuriating because if you are running a business it makes you look like you are shipping orders late. I have 2 Priority Mail pieces that were dropped of this past Monday and should have been delivered to Philadelphia and Portland yesterday and today but because of this PO's negligence, those packages were only just scanned in my zip code last night (Wednesday) and are now not going to arrive to the destinations until next week on Monday. A full week for Priority Mail which is supposed to be 2 or 3 business days and it's all because this Clifton Ave post office is too lazy to do their job.

John Day: Tired of the automated phone call would like to talk to a real person and maybe they can help
Brett Doyle: The staff are rude and act like the customers are a burden.I get mail delivered perhaps 2 days a week even though they are congressionally required to deliver it 6 days a week.They fraudulently mark packages as "delivered" even though they are not. Then the package shows up magically like 2-3 days later. I presume they are doing this to make their delivery numbers look good to hide the fact that they are not managing the mail as required by Congress.I get other people's mail all the time and my neighbors get my mail.
emily bihl: I'm a big defender of USPS in most cases, but anything that is shipped/received through this particular branch/distribution center without tracking just "goes missing"—it has happened to me 3 times already (birthday cards with gift cards in them, a return that wasn't scanned in, and a small gift sent to me in a mailing envelope without tracking). It seems abundantly clear to me that, if this has happened to me multiple times over a short period, then this is happening on a widespread scale at this location where items of value are being lifted at some point in the process and stolen. There's no other explanation for this frequency of this occurring—and only with non-tracked mail, which shows it's deliberately based on what can be gotten away with. As this is a federal service, that makes this a federal crime—amazing there's been no investigation.
Damon Chandler: Customer service and mail delivery is horrible. Called about mail delivery several times on different days and the person answering the phone always sounds as if I'm bothering them. I have also been hung up on and lied to when asking about mail delivery.Mail delivery is unreliable, people on my block have sometimes gone 4 or 5 days without receiving mail. I guess the days of delivering through rain, sleet, snow are gone.

AYE-1 DV: I was third in line. There were two women ahead of me that may have lost a package and had to speak with a supervisor. A line was quickly forming. The clerk told the two ladies they would need to stand by the next register. Those two customers were very distressed about their missing mail. I thought things were gonna escalate. I felt the staff did a good job of staying focused on the other customers including myself while the supervisor did her best to stay professional! Customer service can be a real head ache. I couldnt imagine being that supervisor with a customer expecting her to track down her mail. Sometimes you have to be patient in very stressfull situations. Not just as an employee but as a customer.

Each time I've been met with rudeness and a complete lack of following through by each person I've talked to. I would pay heavily not to have to use this service.
A & S BODY OILS 1: Ms. Wendy is I do believe the Supervisor and she has been on point for years. I truly appreciate her and all her efforts. She calls me back in a timely fashion and resolves all issues. The generally nice and so are the majority of the mail carriers. Ms. Wendy is a great asset to the Usps and she is greatly appreciated.
Elizabeth H: My prescription was marked as delivered 2 days ago but was not. I was told that she “leaves them on the table” like the building instructions say and to deal with my insurance. Upon review of the footage, she wasn’t even in the building and had been gone for 30+ minutes before it was scanned for delivery. Staff were also in our lobby and footage shows no one picked anything up during the entire time before I went to retrieve my package so the inference a neighbor stole it is misplaced. I don’t know where it is or who got it but the lack of concern by this branch for prescription drugs going missing is concerning. Hopefully my refill actually gets delivered.

King Coopa: I wonder if package carriers play games with packages while at work. Like ‘TOSS THE PACKAGE AROUND AND BEAT IT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE’. On Monday, the post office did not pick up scheduled package pick up. Dropped it off myself. Long line to the door with one employee working. On Friday, same week, a different package was delivered by USPS, like this. I would give it zero stars but usually I don’t have issues with mail delivery or pick up twice in one week. Usually my mail carriers, who deliver mail and packages, are pretty good with mail/packages.

I have fought them for the whole time I have been employed at my job because they just do what they want when they want and then are hateful and rude when you call them out on it. We are a business and are down to getting mail 2-3 times a week most weeks and if they do deliver they often don't pick up outgoing mail. With mask mandates during height of pandemic they would just walk into lobby despite signage saying must have a mask and not to enter lobby in first place. they do not check the mail for correct addresses just deliver as is and nothing ever gets done. These people make more than I do and I have to take our mail to the Charles Coyle Branch myself after hours. Their staff is helpful and very professional at that location. We have made the decision to use them as little as possible due to all of the extra money they have cost us in the last few years. Really awful but poor management begets poor performing employees. They have a few really awesome ones there however they can't do everything all of the time.

Quay Mcghee: Good afternoon my mail was delivered to the wrong address last Friday January 7th I live in 3752 Chippewa apartment building and the employees that work for you all on this route always putting the mail in the wrong mailbox like they don't even try to put it in the correct mailbox someone stole my credit card last Friday now I got to cancel it out and place identity theft on my accounts because the mail man or woman put my mail in somebody else mailbox and it specifically has the correct mailing address all they had to do was read the address and find the right number on the Mail box and I'm sure plenty of others in the community have had the same issue with your workers being careless with people can you please fix this because I can't afford too have fraud on my name I have bill's too pay like you all do

Once someone finally picked up, I unmuted myself and they had already hung up after maybe 2 seconds of me on mute. Called back, no transfer, just a 10+ minute hold. Same thing, finally picked up, attempted to unmute, hung up on after 2 seconds.#2. I had already called the main 800 USPS number and they had filled out whatever missing mail form that was necessary for the issue I was having. Got a call from my local office about an hour later that had mistakingly sent my mail to this office and they profusely apologized.#3. So once I did get through to this place, the lady wouldn't let me talk without talking over me. Kept telling me that it was due to be delivered in a few days. Mind you, the order had been sitting at this office for a week without any update. But I was "assured" that it wasn't there. However, to fill out a form so their guys can find it in the back. Thought it wasn't there though??Just ridiculous service for a simple eBay order that god knows where it is now.

Josh Billington: Went on Friday morning at 9:20 am, and it was closed. Hours are listed as open 9 to 5 Fridays. This is a government agency, how can you possibly be randomly closed during normal business hours. This isn’t some mom and pop shop that can open and close whenever they please.

L B: Bad stuff first: The hours are VERY RANDOM. They close down for lunch at times that aren’t posted. I attempted to drop off packages today and was greeted with: “OUR COMPUTERS ARE DOWN” handmade sign and locked doors. This was on a Saturday, so it’s fitting, and I still had other open post office options. There is no parking lot, so it’s street parking, but that’s never been an issue for me. You won’t find much in the way of packing supplies, so don’t expect to find priority boxes in many sizes/quantities, packing tape, etc.Next, the AWESOME stuff: this spot is very close to my place, the staff is VERY, VERY friendly, which, as we all know, is a rarity when your faced with going to the USPO. There is hardly ever a wait, and if so, it’s less than 5 mins TOPS. I once got bit*hed at by some lady that assumed I jumped the line (obviously not the case, and then offered her my spot), so this is to say that the clientele is pretty, uh, interesting, BUT the workers behind the counter are AWESOME: super efficient, helpful, and friendly. It sometimes feels like my own personal post office, as I get in and out quickly.

They lost 2 packages - one was 11x17 so not something tiny - never found them. One the shipping label on the box was returned mangled (a long time later) but at least we knew. Now a much needed 9x14 envelope package I expected to be in another part of town in St. Louis, MO yesterday tracking shows it is in Indianapolis, Indiana! NO more shipping from this location. Two stars because I can walk there on my lunch hour...too bad you can't count on what happens afterwards. I seriously was thinking I should mail this somewhere else...but took another chance.

Nethra Hill: I love the city of Ferguson but the Post office has to be one of the most unprofessional places I've been to. On 3 different occasions at random times I've stopped there to mail my packages and each time they have a sign on the door saying they are closed. I a small business so I always need receipts so I have to go inside what a waist of my valuable time and gas. Management should take reviews seriously and be proactive about intentional change.

I hear people constantly complain on Ferguson FB pages about no deliveries or wrong deliveries. The local manager is either an extremely weak supervisor or just doesn't care, because complaints change nothing. I've had good experiences with the clerks at the counter, but delivery is getting worse.

The Ferguson Post Office is in our community, but very inefficient; mail doesn’t get delivered in a timely manner; the Postmaster is never available to assist via telephone and the clerks are mean and rude, especially to people who ask additional questions. I go out of my way to use UPS or the post office close to my employer. Such a shame as many residents only have the option to use the Ferguson Post Office and do so despite being treated poorly. Today is Thursday, Monday was a Holiday and we haven’t had mail all week! I’m sure the workers are being paid. If it’s not the weather, then it’s COVID-always an excuse. The Postal Service doesn’t need to increase stamp prices, it needs to increase efficiency.Our mail delivery person is always very friendly and will walk packages to the front door that are too big to fit in the mailbox, so that’s a plus.
