I specifically wanted an ‘in studio’ session. In comes LaLa photography. Sara and her staff are incredibly kind and patient. I had the pleasure of having Sara do our newborn photoshoot. Not only did she possess magical powers of soothing a newborn, but she also knew how to distract and cheer my toddler up so that he’d stay put and smile for the camera. Their session prices and photo packages are very reasonable. They even provide a private room when it comes to viewing your pictures. I will definitely be back!

H Copeland: Overall, great experience. So much fun! Staff is completely non-invasive, so you can really let loose and not get embarrassed. Tons of great props. Changing rooms available. Clicker for taking photos remotely was a quite finicky at times. Could use more space to get better camera placement for wider lens shots and better use of props. A few scenes had poor lighting (again, probably a factor of everything being too packed in). The scenes were so fun to play and laugh with my group, but I would like more variety rather than 90% pinks and reds. Very, very cute. Incredibly fun. Had a great time and well worth it!! I definitely plan to return.

Ashley Evans: Drove an hour to take my teenagers. We were told that we could enter each room at our own pace and we could move ahead of those working in certain rooms and go back as rooms become empty. As we were waiting for the last room a large black man proceeded to start harassing me and my teenagers telling us that him and his family would be going ahead of us "that they were there first." After telling him we'd been waiting he continued to harrass and threaten us. I made the comment that the manager said we could come and go out of the rooms and there was no particular order, but he still continued to threaten us. Not a safe environment. I paid a lot of money here. I did make a report to a younger man up front; however, he was too scared to say anything to the person and the manager had just left for the day. We had to leave early. I will not be going back. I understand that while this was not the facility that was the problem, there was also nothing to ensure our safety and the enclosed environment made it very easy for this man to corner and threaten us. This is a place for selfies, and fun and our experience was not fun.

More people than selfie rooms alot of random people just standing there, then you have the not so nice girls taking selfies way too seriously who were just mean and taking up 2 or 3 photo areas at a time so you couldn't use the space. What a waste of money! The guy at the counter was pleasant. That's the only positive thing that came from this experience.

Chardais Nelson: 5 stars for Chystopher! We had a fantastic session yesterday with our kids, including infant twins thanks to him! He was kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable in the field of photography. After an outfit change our twins weren’t having it and became really fussy. I felt like he was on our team and shared our mission to capture a great pic in our outfit for holidays. One of the twins was particularly fussy and he allowed me to put a pacifier in their mouth to soothe them for a minute and the second I took it out, before they could start wailing, Chrystopher was in position with finger on the trigger ready to shoot that perfect shot. We used to go to picture people in west county mall (which I miss the convenience of) but he blew away any session we’ve ever had, and we’ve had a lot of sessions. We actually took a break for several years from picture people because I had been less than pleased with past sessions and wasn’t crazy about going inside a buy buy baby. I was really reluctant to come back, but I would absolutely come back if I could book with him. He made it nearly impossible for us to decide which photos to print and there was no way we were leaving without our full session. I was also impressed with him running the studio on his own. There were back to back sessions and l recognized the thought he put into capturing pictures, editing, allowing customers to view and printing everything. Could not be more pleased! Can not wait to share these photos with friends and family! Thank you, Chrystopher (and Picture People for employing his talent)! Pro Tips for anyone who hasn’t been to picture people: Good things take time. Plan to arrive early so you can be picture ready when your session starts. Remember it takes time for staff to look at your pictures, edit them, select digital backgrounds and apply those finishing touches. Then they have to get pictures up on a viewer for you and you’ll want time to select your favorites, sizes and packages. Then they have to be sent to the printer. All those things (and whatever else I don’t know about) take time and if you book on a busy day, allow your photographers some grace to get through those steps.

The studio is very well equipped to give full variety. Also, before and after each session, time is taken to completely disinfect and sanitize the studio from the previous session. The location is INSIDE a BuyBuy Baby, which is slightly confusing when pulling into the parking lot. Now I know where it is, we will DEFINITELY plan for holiday portraits.

I’m pretty sure he was just waiting to hurry up and go home. When he showed us the pictures we were disappointed because the quality was under and over exposed. Also he made us stand in front of a green screen for some photos which I thought would turn out nice but you could see a reflection of green on our legs after he tried to edit it. Would not recommend.

Loryn Pierce Eastabrook: I’ve had good luck with Picture People in the past (when they were still in West County Mall) but unfortunately, this time just didn’t seem to cut the mustard. I took my 7 year olds to get their pictures taken and while both the young men we worked with were polite, I wasn’t really happy with the quality of the portrait session or the resulting photos.The photographer basically had them just stand in front of the background for many of the pictures with few props or fun poses incorporated and didn’t do much to illicit genuine smiles. The pictures are just “meh”. Almost like school pictures. “Stand here, tilt your head, smile, flash.” That was about it.Like I said, I’ve had really good experiences with Picture People in the past who did great poses with fun backdrops and props and were able to catch my kids being themselves. Unfortunately, this visit was pretty lackluster and I probably won’t spend the money again.

He is very conscientious with ensuring that passport photos meet the exact measurements; we started using this service of his after going repeatedly to another store (*cough* Walgreen's), which never was able to correctly take an infant's passport photo that would meet the requirements.He took beautiful engagement and wedding photos of our daughter and (now) son-in-law in June 2016. My daughter's friend loved these wedding pictures so much that she has booked him to do her engagement and wedding photos later this year.His photos are creative and well-done, and his prices are extremely reasonable. He is very patient and understanding with children. He has a good eye for what looks best in a photo. I cannot recommend Bernie enough.
