Jo Jo: Doctor is wonderful, nurse practioner is awful. Implied that because I couldn't recite my son's medications and doses (he's on 9) she 'had no idea what I was giving him' (paraphrasing) I told her, it's right there on his record. "Well, I know it's here, I want to know what you're giving him." We've been patients for over 5 years and never non compliant with medications. Office has never, not once ever, gotten my son's name right.

Maria Vivian: I had high hopes when I was researching neurologists for our daughter (age 7) with Epilepsy. We had an unfortunate experience at Children's Hospital and we were hoping to find some sort of comfort at SSM Cardinal Glennon. I am sad to say, we did not. Not only have they not tried to figure out the cause of her seizures in any way, trial and error with anti-seizure medication is the only route they promote. I have asked several times for a phone call with Dr. Goretzke, but have been put off by his nurses (Many of which are very pleasant). Dr. Goretzke has never done a physical evaluation of our daughter or even seen her besides a virtual visit. Yet, he has told us 3 times now that we can transfer care to someone else if we want. This last time, the office went ahead and cancelled our visit for next month, without even asking, because Dr. Goretzke thinks another opinion is best. We go to bed every night hoping our daughter does not have a seizure, only to receive no comfort in the lack of care she has received from SSM Cardinal Glennon. We are the only advocates for our daughter, and this experience has shown us that. I can only hope that other parent's and children do not have to experience what we have. I have never in my life felt a doctor did not care about his patient like we have with our 7 year old. It is life changing.
