Washington University OBGYN: what do users think?
Melissa Ramirez: Scheduled an appointment for a second opinion. I finally felt like I wasn’t being brushed off. The Dr took the time to listen and document each of my concerns. Was very thorough with explaining things to me.
Gracie Gralike: Horrible experience here. I started going here in 2019 and have had experience with a few different doctors at the practice. The doctors here are overworked and cannot spend time with you to discuss your diagnoses. I've had several issues, but I have been dealing with endometriosis that could potentially effect my fertility and literally nobody has helped me. I went back in April of 2022 and now it is November 2022, still no help to solve the issues! I just keep getting referred to different doctors, wasting my time and money. My latest appointment was with Dr. de Souza to get my endo removed. I was told I would get called 7-10 days after my appointment, it's been 3 weeks. I've reached out twice and the staff has been extremely rude to me stating I have to "wait" and that there are "other patients in front of me." Ridiculous!! This is a medical issue that I need resolved and they are just putting it off on the backburner. Hilarious they can bill me and take my money, but don't want to schedule me for the surgery that I need! I don't understand why it has taken so long to just call and schedule an appointment. I could go on and on about all the issues I have had at this practice. I'm just done with them and I am moving forward with another OBGYN practice that will treat me like a human that needs care instead of just a bill!! I would recommend that no woman uses this practice unless you want to be constantly referred to other medical specialists for problems you don't have and then waitlisted for the problems that you do have!
Dana Lucas: I had an appointment scheduled weeks out and I live two hours away. I informed the lady I would be late and she said that was fine I got checked in and filled out my paperwork and was then denied service because the doctor couldn’t fit me in, after they had told me everything was fine. I wouldn’t have wasted my time or money had they informed me otherwise. Won’t be returning
João Dimas: Excellent clinic with friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Megan H: Their adolescent office is amazing but once i was transferred to their adult department it went down hill. Not only did the doctor not warn me before starting the exam but after my results came in for possible cancer via MyChart I called immediately and they hadn’t looked at them yet. I was understanding and they said the doctor would call me as soon as they reviewed them. I waited two weeks. Finally I called and the nurse gave me little explanation and laughed at my questions. I am in nursing school so none of the questions I asked were outrageous or ignorant. I still have yet to receive any call from the doctor almost a year later and could not tell you the state of my health due to fear of further dismissal.
Tayler Bertelsman: Chaotic, depressing waiting room. The on-call physician I had to deal with was cold and decided her opinion was more important than my 6 years of experience in suffering from the chronic condition I called about. She was wrong and my condition worsened.Furthermore, the OBGYN department sent my labs to the wrong place, after I told them at least 3 times and watched them enter into the notes, that my insurance would only deal with one lab. As a result, I got a 1'400 bill that would have been 0 if they listened to me. Basically, they do not listen to patients.
Faith McElroy: I wish I could rate specific technicians, because Kristina at the Outpatient Center (ultrasound wing) was awesome! I have been 2-3 times this pregnancy and she was the best one by far! (Since this is technically a review of the entire department, I will say that wait times are usually at least 15 minutes, which is not fun.)
Danielle Van Dillen: 4 weeks of bedrest would not have been bearable without the amazing staff at Barnes. The doctors were patient with all of my daily questions and I truly felt like I was in the best hands.
Paulina Cruz: I've been going to the practice for the past 5 years. It's very organized and runs on time 99% which is impressive. I really like the set up which offers lots of privacy. The nurses are very responsive when you call or send messages through the patient portal. The physicians are excellent and their training is top-notch! There are many options depending your needs. If birth control is your main need, they have a contraception center with fellowship trained physicians on family planning. Is really great. Recommend 100%
Nikki King: They will deny your care, even at 37 weeks pregnant if you are just $100 behind. The techs do not know how to take correct manual blood pressures, Doctors mis diagnosed me. It has been an absaloutle horrible experience. My OB of 13 years retired and I made the mistake of coming here and now, no new doctor will accept me because im sonfar along. Horrible experience all the way around.
Amy Moore: I am a patient of this practice. I am very happy with my care. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. This practice really cares about women and our health needs. I have referred other women here since becoming a patient here a year ago.
Gretchen Jenson: Great practice! My doc is phenomenal and the staff is friendly and helpful.
Stephanie Reinheimer: All right, it took a while for me to write this up because honestly, the experience was just so, so bad.I needed to have my birth control implant replaced in March as well as have a well-woman exam. Since my insurance had changed and I'd always had good experience with WashU/Barnes-Jewish medicine, I was happy to come here. I was seen by the NP.Apparently, no one told anyone that I was coming in for both an implant replacement and an exam, but that got cleared up pretty quickly. The issue was that that woman mangled my arm. My old OBGYN got an old one out and a new one in in about 15 minutes flat, if that. This one spent an eternity PICKING and PICKING at my old implant, which I could hear the entire time. To say it was awkward would be putting it lightly - just hearing her scrape and scrape against the implant and my flesh with a pair of apparently dull tweezers was enough to make me nauseated to the point of needing to have her stop so I could calm down. It was also not painful, due to the anesthetic, but was extremely uncomfortable, with a huge amount of pressure and feeling every tug. She finally got the old one out, the new one in and proceeded to wrap my arm so tightly - whilst telling me not to remove the wrapping for a day - that by the time I finally took the wrapping off, my entire lower left arm was bright red and swollen from being "tied off", basically. I had a red stripe around my elbow for about a week afterward where the bandage lay. This was done in early March, it is now late May and I still have marks and bruises on my arm.
Elisa Cavaliere: I got my first shot (birth control) 3 months ago, the 6th and I was supposed to get another one may the 6th. Everytime I try to call, nobody answers and now I really need an appointment asap and still don't have it. I've also been trying to get it for a week now
Emily Feiden: Terrible!! I have been going here since I was 6 weeks pregnant and am now 28 weeks. I see the OB team so I see a new doctor or nurse practitioner each time. The wait time is always ridiculously long(like 30-40 minutes every time) just for you to be in the room for less than 5 minutes. All they do is check the heartbeat and ask if you have any questions then leave. Seems they are more interested in getting things done quickly rather than making sure the patient is ok.
CC: I'm very impressed by the professionalism, competency, and outstanding bedside manner of all the OB/GYN attending physicians I have seen at WashU. Also, all the nurses I interacted with throughout the pregnancy, delivery, and post-partum process were nothing short of fantastic; they were all very thorough, detail-oriented, and caring. A special shoutout to Dr. Chrisman-Robbins, who made my delivery as smooth as possible with clear instructions, continual encouragement, outstanding communication, and positive energy all the time, even into the late hours of the night. Her colleagues Dr. Dickison, Dr. Sonn, and Dr. Strand are also superb, knowledgeable, caring, professional, and efficient. I don't know how other past reviewers could give anything less than 5 stars to this very diligent group of OB/GYNs. WashU OB/GYN is top-notch, and I would definitely refer any of my friends and family here. Thank you WashU OB/GYN for all that you do; your day-to-day efforts are much, much appreciated!
Aimée Keener: I first started coming to these doctors as a teenager, and have been coming back to them ever since. It's been 15 years now and I couldn't be happier. I see the SAME doctor every time I come, so I don't know how some people get switched around so much. I ask for the her, and they put me on her schedule. I have been to both offices, or I guess ALL of them, now, and they are all comfortable and the office staff has never been anything but friendly and helpful! I will admit, I prefer their South County Location as it is closer to me. Wonderful doctors, I would recommend them to anyone!
Jen Fischer: I cannot speak highly enough of the skilled providers in this group. Because of their affiliation with Washington University, the doctors are able to stay on top of the latest developments in women's health and medicine. They do a tremendous job of caring for their patients, but also place a strong emphasis on caring ABOUT their patients. I've been seeing physicians at Wash U. OB GYN Associates for seven years - through single life, marriage, and the birth of two babies - and have always felt that the providers here serve as patient advocates and partners in women's health. They're good listeners, they're great doctors and they're all-around excellent people.
Megan Braa: AWFUL!!! Went here a couple of weeks ago for an issue I have been here investigating for the past year and a half. I had a scan done at Barnes, which showed a grapefruit sized cyst on my left ovary and was referred to this place. They had no idea what they were doing. Completely ignored the scan and told me I needed pelvic floor therapy to learn how to loosen my muscles because that was what was causing me pain, and to get another scan in two months. Oh! And she told my that I might need a therapist because I have anxiety and I could be making up my pain. Went to get a second opinion at Allied Associates OBGYN (great place btw) and the doctor told me that it was an endometrioma that needed to be surgically removed. So I got a diagnosis and will get this thing out of me, before I could even be scheduled for a second scan at Barnes. Did not feel listened to at all.
Jennifer B: Love the staff and the doctors. Wouldn't trust my health to any other!!
Molly Doyle: What an awful experience I have had! I went in for a yearly check up several months ago and am still fighting with the office manager for a refund. They didn't get a good enough sample the first visit, so they charged me again for a second visit (after assuring me via email that I wouldn't be charged). When I asked for a refund, I was ignored and am still fighting tooth and nail to get a response from the office manager Kim P. I am appalled by the services and responses (or lack thereof) I have received and although Dr. Robbins isn't to blame for this situation, I will not be returning to this gynecology department.

Ashley E. Veade, MD: what do users think?
Katrina Cruz: Dr. Veade is my favorite physician at the practice. She is friendly and knowledgeable and gives it to you straight. Even when there are less than ideal circumstances and with my generally high anxiety, I always leave OB appointments with her feeling reassured and that I'm getting the best opinion and care possible.
paula cotton: Friendly staff, nice clean office, Dr. Grade is very friendly, professional & answers all your questions. She was wonderful.

Women & Infants Center: Barnes-Jewish OB-GYN Clinic: what do users think?
Karen Rico: Im having my second baby with them here, and my nurse practitioner has been nothing but helpful through the whole thing. both times I felt very comfortable with their services.
Makayla Williams: I do not recommend the nurses or horrible and do not communicate
Kayla Nygaard: On the surface, this place was alright (usually polite even if a bit rushed and impersonal- I remember meeting ONE person on my team that had good interpersonal skills and actually made me feel safe in her care), but there is an unfortunate lack of understanding of the mental wellness needs of pregnant women and the personalized care that must be part of a woman's birth experience. While they managed to save me during an emergency after birth, I am looking into complaint options because I believe (after 2 years of contemplating and researching possibilities and trying to overcome the trauma of that emergency) that their team actually created (or perhaps exacerbated) the emergency situation by mismanagement of my third stage of labor. After fighting them (by trying to as politely as possible advocate for my needs/wishes) throughout my pregnancy, I finally succumbed to their "policies and procedures" which I knew didn't feel right for me (but do probably work for a majority of people - especially those who decide to get epidurals) after my baby was born and gave up advocating in a moment of exhaustion and relative success (a baby!) only to be whisked away to the emergency room after someone I had never met likely pulled too hard on the umbilical cord while another new person pushed roughly to rush the extraction of the placenta which can take up to 30 minutes to emerge naturally. They stated they usually do it much faster and I clearly remember stating, "what's the rush?" twice, receiving no answer. When I brought up my concerns after the event (at a virtual appt postpartum check-in call), I was not heard at all but sidestepped with vague statements. With a new baby, who had unexpected needs, I let the problem lie, expressing my trauma in my journaling, but now I feel removed enough that I need to advocate for anyone like me who may be put in danger by the hospital's one size fits all policies. Don't be afraid to advocate for yourself. And if possible, find yourself a place that can and does adjust care based on individualized knowledge about the patient (and takes the time to get to know relevant patient information). The WashU group BJC is not that place. They are streamlined to avoid lawsuits but this puts some individuals at risk. There are many more aspects to my story, but I'll leave you with this thought: BJC did their job in keeping me alive, but that should be the bare minimum. I'm sure (based on maternal mortality rates in the US) that there are others who were not at fortunate as I was.
Coryliss Beeks: Im currently 38 weeks pregnantNever had a pelvic exam done by my doctorSo I had to go to the er I became sick. Took a covid test and it came back positive. The next day the doctors office called me and told me my doctor wanted me to come in . I get there and they tell me they can't see me because I tested positive. Now im sure that was in my chart before my doctor made the appointment. I will not deliver at Barnes Jewish
Alberta Veniece: Just had a doctors appointment there last week and the staff was amazing. They were knowledgeable and super polite! I downloaded the MyChart app so my paperwork was taken care of before hand and they were running on schedule! Great doctor and financial counselor! Huge Thank You!
Artie Kappelmann: I always have good doctors. And they nurses are nice and will help you
Brittany Jones: I've never had a problem here. I've been seeing them throughout all three of my pregnancies.
Kimmika Sams: Wouldn’t recommend
Its Me: I have endometriosis and I’m having bad pains and bleeding heavy for almost two weeks...The OBGYN didn’t treat me..no exam no nothing...she gave me a perception for pain pills despite me saying they aren’t helping...and told me to get an ultra sound at my own convenience...and sent me on my way...I’m still in pain and bleeding..I guess my family can sue if I die..this place is garbage..at this point it’s definitely time to find a private OBGYN...this use to be a great caring place but now it seems like they just do the minimum to move you along..
Courtney Kelsey: Staff was knowledgeable and polite. Wait time was slightly lengthy.
jhcarty13: They consistently run about an hour behind and the doctors always seem like they’re rushing and apologizing for the terrible scheduling issues. A new birthing suite is great but annoy the pregnant ladies by not being on time each week leading up to the delivery, you’ll find people switching practices.
Jenna Hagaman: Everytime i go here i get right in. And be seen this is a wonderful hospital and the nurses are so nice. They will help with any questions and will make you feel comfortable these group of doctors are wonderful i give them a 5 star because they are doing what needs to be done everyday and keeps me informed
Ornela Ika: This place is getting worse every day. Whenever I go there for my appointments, I've to wait at least 2 to 3 hours. That's just so sad.
Heyoka Stingray: I waited for over three hours and did not like the docs or nurses. Won't go back.
Damaris Green: Long waits
Camika Doss: A good place for healing

Dr. Yvonne P. Treece, MD: what do users think?
Dymond Girl: If you have private health insurance, just go somewhere else
Lisa Lisa: I’ve gone here for years thinking I was getting the best care when my health only got progressively worst. I persistently complained to Dr. Treece about pain in a certain part of my stomach but was constantly told nothing to worry about until one day I had to go to the emergency room and be admitted to the hospital afterwards diagnosed with a serious condition. Dr. Treece didn’t give any thought to the pain I was experiencing nor did she look deeper into what was causing me so much agony neither did she refer me to a specialist. I mentioned many times that I needed an MRI or some kind of imaging done to see if something was there but all she would say was no I didn’t need that and change the subject. She only pretended to care and make me think I would be fine or that the pain would subside eventually. Today I’m dealing with health issues that could have been avoided years ago had I been told the truth and gotten the best care from a doctor that I trusted and who’s hands I put my life in. She did an unnecessary surgery on me that only made me worse and also left me with very ugly scars that I have to live with for the rest of my life. Everyday I live in regret thinking about how much better I would be had I never let this doctor touch me. Terrible experience and I definitely would not recommend especially when there are other options and way better doctors elsewhere that would really value your health and not just the dollar.
scooter inc: Awesome doctor. Well rounded professional very personable and great bedside manner and her assistant ashley is a great asset and always very helpful and caring . I'm blessed I found these two angels. Thank you ladies.
Winona Hansen-Olsen: Dr. Treece was a fantastic doctor. Office was clean, I felt listened to, and she was very thorough in my examination. She made sure I was comfortable and happy. The assistants and receptionists were fast and friendly. Happy to have found this office.
Lakeesha Walker: I when in and was going to get my teeth clean I paid cash and the doctor Dr Washington is a very bad doctor they are money hungry they did not do what I wanted them to do they told me that i have bad teeth and sent mr home if u pay cash u will not get the service u need but if u have insurance it's all good for they can really do what they want to do I would never never go to this clinic I wanted to go to grace hill in the first place cause they are good of what they do people clinic is money hungry and u will not get u wanted they will tell u very thing u need on a price a waste of my money I am pissed off don't never go there people they should change they name to money hungry cause that's what they are the rate I give them a 0

Jose Eugenio-Colon, MD: what do users think?
Annie Maier: Words can not express my gratitude for Dr. Eugenio Colon and his staff. After a 10 hour surgery with him I am now 2 years pain free! He is a hero! One person complained about his wait time but to me that wait time proves how great this man is. Woman travel from all over to be treated by him so of course you may have to wait longer than you want. I assure you it is worth the wait! I traveled 5 hours to be his paitent and I'd travel 5 days if I had to. This man knows endometriosis like the back of his hand. He saved my from having to get a colonoscopy bag and fixed what other regular surgeons messed up. The most compassionate, educated, empathetic dr I have ever been to and I can't recommend and thank him enough. Four friendrom my city have also traveled the 5 hours to see him, and all have had the same success!
Deb Nation: He actually cares about his patients and family.
Ashley Gamino: This doctor is literally the best doctor I have ever seen. I highly suggest him. He is not only the most caring, but he will advocate for you when it comes to other providers and them treating you as if your crazy for the Endo problems you actually have.
Alyssa Giger: I’ve never felt so heard and cared for by any health care provider like I do these doctors.
Vicki Wilson: I can't even put into words the amount of respect I have for EVERYONE in this office. The entire staff is amazing, and don't even get me started on Dr. C. That man is literally a godsend and that is putting it lightly. I was diagnosed with endo in my late teens, have had ELEVEN abdominal surgeries including 2 c-sections (yes 9 endo surgeries), and was referred to Dr. Colon for an endo consultation. He talks to you like a person, he listens to you, uses real world terms, acts like he has known you for years, VERY knowledgeable with endo and the procedures, you guys....he drew my husband pics so he had a better understanding of what is going on and what is going to happen (who takes that time to do that???). I had a total hysterectomy, and endo "clean out" as I call it 4 weeks ago. IT HAS BEEN AMAZING, not even kidding, it was the BEST decision ever. I can stand up straight without hurting, I can touch/push on my lower belly without any inner pain, my hoo-ha doesn't have a constant inner/upper ache, my hip pain is better, lower back pain is better, it has literally changed everything. I cannot thank this man or this office enough, especially when you deal with something for 21 years and feel like there is no answer or help, then BAM here comes Dr. C to save the day, to save my sanity, save my mood, my outlook, my marriage, if you deal with stage 4 endo....you know what I mean. Please call his office if you feel like there is no answer for endo, bc there really is. Thanks again Doc!!!!
Andrea Stafford: Dr Eugenio-Colon is the best. He’s alleviated virtually all of my endo pains. He’s super thorough, truly cares about women, and the longterm outcome. He looks at the entire picture and helps to determine what’s best and most beneficial to his patients. If you suspect you have endometriosis, schedule an appt ASAP!
Heather Luntzer: Where do I begin to explain how amazing Dr. Jose Eugenio-Colon is. Besides the fact that he is the most knowledgeable doctor I have ever went to but the most compassionate as well. Dr. Colon fixed my problems when my regular OB just said it was my age causing all my issues (Endometriosis issues). I cannot thank Dr. Colon enough for his exceptional knowledge and expertise but also his amazing personality. All around a great dr but a great man. Very proud to call him my Dr. My specialist, my Hero
Amanda Arnold: Dr. Eugenio-Colon is one of the best doctor I've been to. He was first doctor that took the time to explain what endometriosis was to me. He is compassionate, and listen to your concerns. I would recommend him to anyone that has endometriosis problems.
Karissa Roberts: Amazing. I highly recommend if you have endometriosis. From the time I walked in his office to the time he operated on me, he was amazing. He saved my life.
SherricahJoi McFarland: Dr. Eugenio-Colon is an awesome surgeon. He & his colleagues at St. Mary's hospital saved my life. I'm forever grateful for the God sent doctors & nurses who made this trying time as pleasurable as possible for me. They've all earned a place in my heart & prayers. Thank you so much Dr. Eugenio-Colon for the explanatory pictures & video, what you do for people is amazing. I can't thank you enough!!😍💙❤🧡💛💚😘
Maekayla Miller: Nice guy but the fact that ive had er visits in so much pain and cant work and the earliest they will get me in for surgery is 3 months away and after my insurance switches over which means i have to pay for it out of pocket. No thanks. No matter how nice you are if you want to keep patients you should be able to treat them in a timely manner.
Ebony Wright: Dr. Jose was one of the best caring Doctor I ever had! I had to have an emergency surgery, I was so scared, kept crying to get back home to my daughter he promise me that he was going to take good care of me and he did just that! I would always remember him and how he took care of me on Thanksgiving day... Thank you Mr.Eugenio, I have to get one more sugery and I hope you will assist! I'm Glad God put me in your Present! I'm forever Grateful for a Doctor such as caring as you, you walk through the whole process with me and did exactly what you said you would do!
