Self Care: It was amazing the popcorn had butter on it not like the movie theater in da mall the butter was broken and yea i person sent us to da wrong movie i was post to see Spiderman not Hobbs and shobbs so yea it is cold so u may want to bring a cover so yea.(New: It's still gonna be a five starts we went to see creed 3 very awesome movie had me at the edge of my seat multiple times, As always amazing price 5$ for a movie. snacks a lil pricey depending. Atmosphere is nice and in all my favorite part is the guy who holds a tray of kisses and peppermints and stuff when the movie ends and you exit the theater!
Lord Rev. Shaun Boswell: Cheap films, small locally owned, and the Monty specials are all enough to go here. That and being inside the Chase Park Plaza, the interior is amazing walking though the building to the theater.

Jon Denning: I've been frequenting Chase Park Plaza Cinemas for the past 3 years. I usually stick to matinees for the cheap ticket price, and because there's usually plenty of seating available. Although there are no IMAX or Dolby Cinema theaters, this is still a great venue. Attentive staff and many options at their concessions. They also validate parking at Chase Garage.

Kyle Neely: Small cozy theater. Delicious popcorn. They show movies you can’t find in other theaters. As a movie lover, this is one of my new favorites.
Suzanne Chisum: The backlot offers a cozy environment for movie viewing. I enjoyed the movie we saw, sound and projection were very nice. I liked that there was a couch option to sit on if you wished.

Larry Klueh: I have long wanted to see a film in this space -- I had toured it under construction. It is an historic preservation masterpiece... maintaining historic fabric and in- building a jewel of a theater. Tonight's film See How They Run is a film I can confidently recommend to everyone!
Holli: I am in LOVE with these two theaters (The High Pointe Theater AND The Back Lot). Just saw Elvis at The Back Lot and it was fantastic. We love both of these theaters, but the Back Lot shines for movies with great soundtracks. Our favorite theaters in St Louis by a long shot.
Israel Aiesha: Really quaint space. I loved it. But the highlight of our visit was our entertainment. My mother, sister and I took in a film entitled: "Mr. Malcolm's List". I adore period films and envisioning the truer side of wealth and splendor across racial lines is both refreshing and astonishing. The film was excellent, great choice. I highly recommend it.The spot appeared to be family-owned and very welcoming. I did not check out the restroom but the waiting area and theatre were clean and inviting.The Chardonnay was lovely, the popcorn nostalgic. Five stars.The Backlot is indeed a treat; I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good old movie experience...it would be super cool if they held a Black-n-White film festival!

Longtime family ownership creates family hospitality. They know movies! Like the main theater the concessions are very reasonable. And there's a bar too.

LJ Holmes: One of my favorite places to see a movie. Feels nicely urban. Wednesday is $5 admission night. They tend to show indie films. Seats are stadium style that recline some and they are comfortable and in good condition. Theatre is small so you're never too far back. Decent concessions of course. Try it, you'll like it.
Adrienne Outlaw: The theater is BEAUTIFUL. The staff AMAZING. The prices spectacular! Can't wait to go back. The seats are great. The rock but don't recline. I sat in the front and it didn't even bother me, which in most places I couldn't stand. The sound and the projection were incredible. Not too loud or too soft. Feels so luxurious without all the tacky stuff at most theaters (neon lights, 89s decor etc).
Glenda Moore: Quaint, intimate & relaxed is a perfect description of this venue. You'll appreciate the lack of crowds, while inhaling the popcorn aroma. The service is more personal, unlike the larger theatres in the area. I can't wait to go back.
