Penny P: Poor quality work and customer service.

Penny Phillips: I was quoted by the store and installer himself on 2 separate occasions yet today installer demanded $200 more than quoted for this sloppy installation where in several places large gaps are between the new flooring and walls. Installer claims gaps are due to brick being uneven but you’ll see there are also gaps against the baseboard which we know is perfectly flat. I was given nasty attitude when asked if quarter round could be installed to cover this up and told to text the installer 3/21 to see about him coming back and cleaning this up for another $100 when he can fit me in because he couldn’t commit to a date. He insisted on being paid despite work was sloppy and incomplete & as a single woman I was in no position to argue with this big intimidating man who was visibly irritated. It’s not just the installer, when I called the store to inquire why enough product wasn’t ordered and again about the double charge for install, not one time did they say the simple words “I’m sorry”. They took no responsibility and expressed no understanding of my frustration yet I’ve spent $10,000+ there to date…Management is very defensive, taking my concerns personally and responds emotionally rather than admitting the installation is sloppy and I do not recommend this company or their installer to anyone.

Cheryl Miller: We needed to replace our carpet in the main part of our home so I looked for a smaller flooring company in hopes of having a great product and someone that cared about their work. I first talked with Michel on the phone and he showed concern about my needs so we made the trip into the store the next day. We were greeted at the door by a young lady named Emily and she was ready and willing to help with our request. We were looking for good quality carpet that was pet friendly and padding to match. Her boss Terry assisted and explained all of the cost effective ways we could use. I had already removed the old carpet and made the area ready for an install. Terry offered to come to our home that very evening and measure the space we needed to cover. While he was there he explained our options for the carpet layout and how to install the carpet properly on our stairs.Terry provided us with a proper proposal the very next day and we had already picked out our carpet with Emily's help while at the store.Their price was fair and we set up a date for the install. Terry explained who would be coming to our home to install in great detail and he was dead on with what to expect. Both men were courteous and it was a pleasure working with them as well as our purchase at the store.We hope to have them return to our home to install ceramic tile in our master bath.We are so pleased with the company and his staff that we plan on recommending their company to others.THANK YOU to everyone that helped us with our project and both of our senior dogs LOVE resting on the new carpet right next to our chairs.THANKSFrankly Speaking

Mitchell Platin: we needed to replace the carpets in our entire house. a daunting task and potentially hideously expensive. we have had two boys and three rescue dogs grow up in the house. our last rescue dog is finally potty trained and doesn't really have accidents, mark etc. so we chose flooring galaxy to do our carpet because of the google reviews. we worked with michael who was without a doubt one of the most responsive sales persons i have dealt with. emails answered sometimes in minutes. bids given in a timely manner. the carpet selection is vast so you better have some idea of what you want. otherwise be prepared to be overwhelmed. our house is large and has very cumbersome furniture(an armoire that is over 10 feet long and weighs hundreds of pounds.) paul and his crew of installers were amazing! they moved the furniture, moved everything back and were very incredibly professional. i don't know if there is a harder job than carpet installation, but they showed up every day with smiles. this was without a question one of the best experiences we have had with home maintenance.

Mind you, I live with my husband and we don't have any kids, so it's just the two of us. By May of 2018 the carpet was completely worn out. I called to see if there was possibly a defect in the type of carpet that I had purchased and they told me this is just how the carpet wears. So after a year and paying over $4,000 for the carpet, it just wears out?? Totally unacceptable. Stay away from this place unless you like throwing your money down the drain.

The labor cost was fair, and the guys who did the work did an excellent job. My job site has floor to ceiling mirrors on two walls, and the guys had to be very careful around them. Glad to report there were no incidents. They pulled out the old carpet, and fitted the new vinyl plank expertly, installed the transitions and cut in the floor registers. Already eyeing the rest of my rooms to see what I can hire them to do next.

When you set an appointment, they come at the time given and socially distanced wearing ppe (which for anyone concerned about indoor projects I hope this puts your mind at ease). They are very respectful of your time, give you NUMEROUS options so many options which I greatly appreciated as I started to describe what I was looking for and then what I could afford to meet my needs. All documents were electronic and all forms of payment were accepted which helped with budgeting. I ordered my carpets and from time of order to install was around 3-4 weeks... super quick! During the install, they were mindful of my house, keeping a clean walkway at all times as I have small children. The install was quick and they arrived on the time specified beforehand with no late arrivals, no excuses just completely professional! Then they cleaned everything up and I was left with some pretty amazing carpet, soft, thick and even smells great! Can’t recommend Paul at Floor Coverings International enough! They even do tile and wood flooring too. Seriously every flooring material you can imagine is an option and it’s a perfect one stop shop for your floor needs.

Floor Coverings International installers were efficient and removed all the old stuff well. I had picked a beautiful gray pattern of flooring to replace it from the samples I was shown and the real thing surpassed my expectations. An extremely positive experience from start to finish!

Matthew Selinger: We called Floor Coverings to look at few loose tiles on our breezeway floor and a few more sounded hollow. When tile installer removed the grout he found the floor was not cleaned properly by original installer from another company (2006). Since we could not afford to have the floor completely redone, Paul suggested we remove about ten tiles from the area that sounded hollow. The installer saved us some money by preserving the original tiles and cleaning off the old mortar--no small task. The installer put the tiles in place so they are solid and not hollow sounding. They did a great job matching the mortar. Paul gave us a quote and stuck to his original price. The installers were efficient, very knowledgeable, friendly and honest--which for me is a big deal. They were very conscientious about keeping the dust to a minimum for the small job I had. I have a high regard for honesty so I recommend this company without reservation. The picture is of the area that was replaced. I tried to use the best natural light so you could compare the mortar color.

Chris Kolb: I love my house for the first time since moving in it 14 years ago! I can't say enough good things about Paul & his crew. Everything from advice in flooring choices to the timely execution of the project. He told us we could probably find someone cheaper but he was charging a little more because he wants to do a quality job. So glad we took the chance and went for his services because underneath our dirty carpets was an absolute treasure of a century old floor that was in dire need of absolute professionals. They didn't even leave one single scratch on the trim. I'm sure the job was a difficult one. There were nails & staple marks everywhere, but now our house looks so great I can't even believe it. To top it all off it only smelled in my house for one day thanks to his excellent choice of low voc product. In the end I really don't think we even paid more because we weren't charged extra for the little extras we did get like the spot that needed some boards replaced. Kudos to Paul & his crew they do great work.

Diane Kroupa: We ordered our Vinyl Flooring from Reinhold Flooring and an installation date was set up. The installer arrived at our house on March 23, 2023. As we took him down the stairs to the room that was to be installed, he told us that he had been sick with stomach flu 3 days before he arrived. We took him to the room where he had to make measurements and preparations for the install. He asked if he could use the bathroom as he wasn't feeling well. We were not happy that he wanted to use our bathroom (and we had to clean the toilet after he left and found he had diarrhea as there were stool particles splattered all over the toilet bowl) and after he used the bathroom he went outside and vomited on our driveway. He told us he had the stomach flu and could not complete the work and he left. He arrived 5 days later on March 286 to install the flooring. When we met him at our front door we told him he had to wear a mask while inside our house but he refused and simply said "Just stay away from me." We are not satisfied at all with this kind oif response from a workman at Reinhold Flooring., He was arrogant and very disrespectful.

David Robertson: I was in a dire situation with carpeting. I had trouble with Empire today and needed to fire them and find a new company. I went to Reinhold and they came over the next day to measure. I got better carpet, better pad, and most imortantly, better price.My house was a mess and they moved me up on the schedule and got everything done in two weeks. The installer and office sraff were outstanding.I should have called them first. If you need flooring, you would be foolish not to call them.

KCJ Services: The owner himself came out and measured for our carpet and unfortunately he measured wrong and there was not enough carpet. When placed the order, it was going to be installed within 2 weeks and after a month pasted still no word. When finally the installers came, they found that they did not have enough carpet. The owner blamed us, even though he took the measurements. We had to settle for a cheaper carpet that they keep in stock. He advised us for the trouble he would take a discount, however the it was the actual price of the cheaper carpet. When I questioned Steve about this to see if there was an error, he said he must be a liar and told me to pay the bill or he will see me in court and hung up. Think twice before purchasing from this place.
