Adam Friedman: Adam was super attentive and was very flexible. We needed some spring cleanup done in preparation for my daughters upcoming bday party. Came out on a Wednesday, got us a quote on Thursday and was able to get a crew out on Saturday. He said they would be here between 8-8:30 am and they got here at 8:15. The crew was very professional and got to work right away and didn’t stop until they were done. They called me an hour before my appointment and told me they wouldn't be coming and that it would be at LEAST three more weeks before they could come out. Not even a reference to a friendly competitor with time for me.

However, this business isn’t tailored for ordinary consumers I feel from the vine I got from Todd that came out for an estimate. He kept telling me you know this will cost you a lot. I appreciate your upfront honesty, however, he didn’t appear interested at all! It was like oh ok so you’re sure.. he wasn’t professional in anyway. It turns you off from wanting to use this business especially for a first time home buyer, instead of wining me as a customer and referring all of my clients, neighbors, friends. No it was like I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this business if they don’t want to feel embarrassed getting an estimate on desired work. These people need to learn how to professionally and I don’t mind being realistic about it, but communication is key. He wasn’t presenting any interest. I’m okay. I’m discouraged to use this business for any work. PLUS IT HAS BEEN OVER 2 MONTHS, NO ESTIMATE, NO CONTACT AT ALL. So I wasn’t just not feeling that interest he really didn’t have any! No worries, you lost a customer that would’ve referred many customers just from my IG posts 🙃 now I’ll gladly tell everyone not to use this business.

Todd-the owner, Jeremy-our designer, and all of the guys who have worked on our projects have been great to work with. We highly recommend them! We have had many other companies in the past work on our home and I can say these guys have been the most responsive, professional, straightforward crew. They worked when they said they would and showed up on time. If there were any issues they let us know ahead of time, there were no surprises. Vickie Hahn: Well our check for a design was cashed in late June & we assumed based on our first meeting we would have a design in 5-6 weeks after we turned in the paperwork boy we were wrong.Contacted Jamie the designer in August who said he would have something for me in 2-3 weeks. He also told me that since we were going to wait till next spring to plant, he had decided that other 4 other designs were more important that ours. Attempted to email him again mid September and got zero response.Now it is the last week of September and I’m still out the money I paid for the design with nothing to show. All we were doing was a city front yard design.Guess they have no interest in my business which is a shame because we have plans to eventually do some extensive work in the backyard as well.

jon clark: Our first project with OCD is nearing completion. Our designer, Jeremy, has been great! He has made sure the plants and landscape style are perfect for our situation. He considered our drainage situation, local deer population, light exposure (shade/sun), foliage color and year round color. Beth Siemer: If you’re in the St. Louis area and trying to figure out your landscaping, I can’t recommend Justin McCoy at Outdoor Creative Design highly enough. I’m pretty convinced it would be hard to find someone who knows more about the kinds of plants that will work in this area. He designed and supervised installation of my landscaping (which couldn’t be more perfect for what I wanted—native plants as much as possible/practical, rain garden, bee and butterfly friendly, patio, and flagstone walkway) and walked through my friend’s property with us to help us have what we needed to feel really good walking into the process of buying trees—which would have been insanely intimidating for us otherwise. He’s a gem.

Justin came out and walked me through my options for landscaping, and did so without making me feel dumb (although I admittedly am when it comes to this stuff). Michael Ridenhower: Following the posting of our 1 star review of Frisella Landscape posted below, in which we shared our disappointment when we were not contacted by anyone from Frisella's Landscape Division, we were contacted by the owner, Tony Frisella.Hectic schedules made us difficult to reach but Tony was persistent in his follow up efforts and we were finally able to meet to talk about our landscape needs.We explained our disappointment after not receiving any response from the Landscape Department after three attempts to contact them over a period of several weeks.We also explained that out disappointment was compounded as we had visited their huge nursery and beautiful retail store and those visits set a high expectation for the quality of work they could do for our landscaping project.Tony apologized for the lack of response and explained what caused our requests to go unnoticed. He also shared his goal of expanding the landscape business by providing top quality work, standing behind their work and growing the business through customer referrals.Tony looked at our yard and had several excellent ideas during this initial meeting for how Frisella could transform our yard. He also explained all steps from the initial contact through the completion on the project.We shared with Tony that we have always felt the mark of all good businesses is not that they are always perfect i every customer interaction or their work but we judge them on how they respond and correct the errors that we all make.We were very pleased with Tony's persistence i contacting us and his determination to do the right thing for us as customers.We really enjoyed meeting and working with Tony a great deal and have no doubt about the excellent results Frisella could provide.We had excellent service at the Frisella retail shop near Defiance. Based on the service we received at the retail store, we wanted Frisella’s landscape group to put together a master plan for landscaping our backyard to include doing the planting and all maintenance for our property.We made three attempts to get someone from the landscape group to contact us to set up a time to meet and develop a master plan. We were extremely disappointed to never receive a call back from the landscape group.Our first attempt at contacting them was through the retail garden center taking and passing our information to the landscape division. We waited about 10 days but we received no response. We then used the on-line form to request help building a plan and once again received no response. Our third attempt was a call directly to the landscape division. The woman we spoke to gave us the pricing for an initial consultation and pricing for a comprehensive landscape plan. She indicated we would be contacted in a few days by the landscape team to set a time for us to meet. That was over a month ago and we have not received a call from anyone at the landscape division.We would have appreciated a phone call even if Frisella could not provide the service. To just not respond to a customer’s repeated requests is not a customer oriented approach we would have anticipated from a company like Frisella.

Justin was the main person we worked with and he was incredibly responsive and helpful. The team of workers was also great- they worked super hard even in intense heat. Within a few days of his first visit to look at our project and talking with us, Tony came back with a detailed plan that not only would resolve our drainage/erosion problem, but also a design that would blend in with the natural area around our yard. Tony Frisella and his organization are very professional and patient with you, even when your not quite sure of exactly what you want. Their design group is easy to work with and their goal is to make you happy..... not them.The staff, design group and landscapers are all dedicated to making you happy with the outcome. Their attention to detail is second to none. As an example, I have used many different mulching services and have not noticed much difference. I started using them for my mulch and noticed an immediate difference. The quality of the mulch is better than I have experienced and lasts almost the entire year.More importantly, their landscaping crew hand spreads the mulch deep under bushes, where most other services just merely haphazardly throw it around. Your yard looks pristine when they leave a project without any sign that any wotk was performed.I am happy to recommend Frisella to anyone, as I am rarely satisfiend with most service oriented company's. In this day and age it's refeshing to see company's that care about your satisfaction. We are consistantly complimented on the look of our yard, which I take credit for, but owe it all to Frisella.

William Decker: We’ve shopped and have been serviced by several area landscape nurseries. Frisella’s Nursery is by far one of the most customer service oriented I’ve worked with. They have helped with landscape decisions in both our son’s new property and personal property issues at our 20 year old house. They planted and even replanted trees when we added a fence and were not sure we originally put them in the right place!Even during the pandemic when crews were smaller, Tony Frisella personally came out with his crew to meet a tree-planting deadline.They truly want their customers to be satisfied with their products and services.

Tom helped us pick out beautiful and quality material and had both creative and practical ideas for us. anne kennedy: We used Quiet Village to replace a sinking patio, add a retaining wall to ensure water is moved away from the foundation & to pour a small concrete pad for a rain barrel. Although some initial design elements required changes, they worked to keep us within our budget, suggesting options & alternative materials. The crew working on our project consisted of Crew Leader Rene Alvarado + Juan Reyes, Valentin Valdez, Daniel Cornejo & Daniel Cervantes and they were outstanding! Not just professional, but exceptional craftsman providing high quality workmanship. Our concern over root damage to a 100+ yr old white oak was taken seriously & they did excellent work, digging by hand, to address concerns with minimal impact. Our site did not have easy access and yet, 3 days later, you can't even see the extent of all the intense infrastructure work that occurred or the amount of materials used on site. And they were so patient with our little dog! I highly recommend this company with their quality workforce & would not hesitate to suggest them to friends & family. After reading other reviews, I look forward to working with them again in the future! Can't wait to use the new patio & no more sleepness nights after the rains come! This included trimming, shaping and mulching hedges and bushes, tidying up the patio area, and general yard clean up. I was so pleased with the job Victor and Octavio did for me! The bushes were trimmed so nicely and the mulching included a very professional-looking shovel edging which I liked a lot! Victor checked with me every step of the way to make sure they were doing all that I wanted and the way I wanted it done. Julia Hundman: Karen and SFP Landscaping did a redesign of part of our back yard to help us manage storm water runoff and attract and help pollinators using native plants. She listened to my vision and did not insist on her own. She waited patiently until the right time for the project and then started with the appropriate plantings for fall and winter. She included me in her master plant plan and I knew just what to expect. They have done an amazing job on each of these! Kerman Raine's design work is really top notch with great videos that allow the customer to see exactly what they are signing up for.
