Don semple: Over the past month I have called twice regarding a problem I am having with my HVAC system which was installed in 4/2020 at a cost of $7,000. I asked for the service manager to give me a call. I’ve never had the courtesy of a return phone call. So, after spending countless hours and using the assistance of a neighbor, I discovered that Galmiche improperly wired my humidifier dating back to the original installation. The humidifier hasn’t operated since before the new furnace was installed. Galmiche wired my 120 volt humidifier solenoid to a 24 volt feed from the furnace. Had Galmiche had the courtesy to call me back I could have corrected the mistake on my own without requiring Galmiche to come out to the house. It’s so frustrating that once they had my $7,000 they showed no interest in helping me. I’ve now fixed the problem and will not be using Galmiche again.Services:Install AC,Heating system installation

After checking several (5) other HVAC companies, my neighbor suggested I contact them. The night before i was to sign a contract with one of the others, Galmichi came through with the right bid with the name brand (Lennox) equipment I wanted at a substantially lower amount. The crew arrived on the scheduled day at 7:30 that morning and "got er done!" There was no hanging around wasting time, they went to work. After installing both, the new AC unit and a new Furnace, at approximately 3:30pm they were done. They cleaned up after themselves and with the exception of my new equipment, you would have never known they were there! Mark Golliday: I had a new Lenox furnace and air conditioning unit installed in late 2016, so 5.5 years ago. You would think the unit would not have complications so soon, but things happen, as we know. I called for service as my house's temperature was ranging from 86 to 90 degrees for a few days. I have a disabled son and 2 long haired German Shepherds. The man who returned the call was not pleasant. Maybe he was stress due to workload, I'm not sure. I was told he wasn't taking on new customers. I explained I'm not new. He said, "well you haven't use us since the install of your unit in late 2016. You aren't a priority, we have other customers who receive annual and semi-annual services and they are the priority. I'm sorry but we can schedule you 12 days from now, but call us to cancel if you find someone else. I'm sorry." As a customer who spent nearly $5000 with this company, I was very disappointed. I did call three other reputable companies, two offered to have a technician out within 48 hours, but Design Aire had a technician out within 6 hours. It took the technician about 30 minutes to fix the problem.I'm not a person who commonly writes negative reviews. Please look at my previous reviews and photos on Google Reviews. But, this experience with Galmiche & Sons was unacceptable in my view. I was disappointed and felt disrespected because I didn't choose to purchase their service package after the install. Folks, this is a good company, but I will never use them again, nor recommend them. The culture, customer service, and customer appreciation does not meet the standard of an organization I choose to conduct business with. Cheryl Courtway: If I could give zero stars than I would. I went with this company after reading the reviews online. The biggest mistake I could have made. Let's start with the hot water heater. They installed the hot water heater, that night no hot water. Technician came out the next day and informed me that the 2 elements were broken. They replaced those. I'd come home some days with luke warm water and other days hot. After a few technicians later saying different things they finally brought out a new one to install. That problem was resolved. The furnace started with the thermostat saying 66 but it was extremely hot in the house. Technician came out and said that it was a faulty thermostat. He replaced that. A Day or 2 later the thermostat was saying 66 and it was cold in the house. They installed another thermost. Then the furnace was running non stop. Sent a different technician out and he said that that thermostat needed an add on wire attached so, he went to get one of those, installed that and it resolved that problem. Then the AC unit, when I started using that it was short cycling. They came out and said that they had to install another return in the house so that air would cycle appropriately. That did not fix the issue. They came out to replace the unit outside with a smaller unit and spent 8 hours here, tried to install 2 different units and said that they weren't working. They would contact the manufacturer and see if it was a bad batch. They left and the initial unit was hooked back up. The manager said he would contact me when he heard something. I never heard from him. I had to have another company come out and they had everything fixed within 2 hours. It came down to bad wiring installation and a non compatible thermostat. The new company fixed in 2 hours what this company could not find a resolution for in 7 months. Horrible customer service. In 7 months they had been out at my house roughly 15 times due to issues with their installed system.Services:Install AC,Water heater installation,Heating system installation

I tried calling and speaking with the manger of this company. He would not return my phones calls. I did notice that they didn't install all new duck work with the new unit. I've been trying to call Jerry Safely he has not returned any of my phone calls. I notice on one of the 5 star reviews was from Jerry Safely. Preston Burnsed: Used for annual service. Had a few parts replaced. Everything went very smoothly and was competitive for the work I needed done. A few days later, one tenant calls saying she was getting no heat. Vitt came back out, inspected their work, noticed a switch was left off, and had the unit back up quickly with zero additional charges. While a mistake was made, they impressed me with their honest business practices. Highly recommend.

Vitt actually came out and replaced a pipe leaking gas at an elbow and one other place after Spire shut us off when the temperatures were below freezing. I was criticizing Spire and the two gentlemen from Vitt politely defended Spire and were supportive of them. They were correct. I was just upset that Spire appropriately shut off our gas due to a leak and all of the contractors Spire knew of that could do pressure testing could not come out until 10 or 11 days later. We needed a pipe replaced AND pressure tested by the same company. I was cold and irritable 2 days without heat. We spent hours trying to find someone. I'm not sure how or why, but Vitt popped up for me in a different browser and they made it out the same day. They were amazing. They fixed the pipe and even found a second leak. We have a somewhat unusual set up and they found a way to work around it and save us money. They came 10 days sooner than everyone else could have and they were professional. Vitt, thank you for your professionalism, fine work and same day service. Thanks to you we had our gas turned back on the same day and had heat in below freezing weather. You even saved us money. We are so fortunate to have found you and will definitely recommend your company. Thanks again!

We received multiple timely bids. Vitt's bid was competitive; the financing option was superb; the very quick turnaround was unbelievable; and the courteous professional service was second to none. They even made the full installation the day after we received bids.To be straight forward, the quote was not the lowest, and the installation schedule was a day sooner than others promised. The 6-year, 0% Wells Fargo financing was what made the decision to go with Vitt very easy. It allowed us to comfortably choose a higher quality system and upgrades including a humidifier and bacteria scrubber.I would not wish anyone the misfortune of having their heat go out on the coldest day of the year right before, maybe, the biggest holiday. Robert Kisgen: Never using this company again and I suggest you look for different company too.First off I called early morning and a guy took all my information and informed me they would be there around 7 am. They did not show up until 7:30 pm. After numerous attempts to contact them throughout the morning some lady told me it was an answering service I had talked to and that they did not check any of the messages when they got in.Second they decided to charge me Sunday/Holiday rate and it was neither. It was on Friday and was not a Holiday. My wife called to ask about it and they were very rude to her while saying Fridays are Sundays and that we should be thankful they came at all. The front desk girl ignored me and thus they were not prepared when they arrived. Another 7-10 days for part. Dont use them - they dont really care about customers. Front desk sucks. Ronald Fromm: Welsch replaced the geothermal air conditioning unit in our condominium home. The installation was complicated by the extremely limited space above the ceiling. They custom built the unit to make sure that it fits properly they built and installed the unit ahead of schedule and on budget. We were very pleased. Both times they responded within minutes and sent a technician very quickly. Scott and Jeremy were courteous and knowledgeable. I won’t call anyone else! When there are so many options of other services to call, Welsch stands out with their prompt service. I called at 8:30p on a Saturday just to see if someone would answer. Butch Sigg: We have been Welsch H&C customers since 1999 when we bought our home. We hired them to install all new Lennox HVAC equipment and have been very satisfied with it ever since. We have mostly always purchased their annual furnace/AC maintenance agreements to insure our equipment stayed in top running condition. Last night we noticed that it was a bit warm in the house and I knew something was up with our Condensing Unit outside. Having just hosed down the coils just a few days prior I really didn't know what the issue was. I turned the thermostat to off and switched the fan from auto to run thinking that perhaps something may have froze up. I called Welsch at 8:00 am and the gal was very helpful and stated that she would have a technician at my house between noon and 5:00 pm that same day. I received a text at 3:15 pm from Tech. Brian Granger who was a very nice man, we had him before on one of our many preventative maintenance calls. Wasn't here a long time and said that he had washed out the Condensing Unit and replaced a capacitor. All went well and we very much appreciated Brian and Welsch for being there and taking care of us when we needed them the same day. I highly recommend Welsch Heating & Cooling!

Curt Wibbenmeyer: Welsch installed two units in our new build home (2014). 18 months in the evaporator coil fails. After I tell them I want it replaced under the Lennox class action suit they replace it (after initially telling me they would charge me). Fast forward 6 years (The home is only 8 years old) the same evaporator coil FAILS AGAIN. You'd think if a customer is loyal and comes back in the time of need that would be the time for a company like Welsch to shine. Well, not exactly...I'd ask everyone who reads this if you'd be satisfied paying this company if something brand new fails twice in under 8 years? One would think the company would want to at least stand behind something they preach about and help the loyal customer (maybe discount the repairs?). Nope, Cindy "the service manager" told me to pound sand and she be happy to help me spend another $2000 6 years after they PERFECTLY installed the SECOND FAILED COIL in 8 years. She also said she'd be happy to get my air back on in 2 weeks (WE'LL BE DEAD BY THEN CINDY).Mr. Welsch, I'd like to thank you for posting all this jargon about your 124 years of St. Louis service that you post when someone gives you 5 stars. I'd equally like to thank you for taking a dump on those who empty their wallets into yours on products and services that fail every 5 years so you can simply take their money again and teach your service manager about standing behind the reputation you preach about...Our reputations are all we have left in this greedy world, what does this say about yours?

Their technician arrived in my place before 10am and it was all fixed in one hour or so.I had another problem 2 weeks later. Curt Shepard: My airco quit putting out cold air. I called C&G based on their reviews on Google. One of their technicians was here the next day! He identified the problem (the compressor motor was shot). I asked Tim for a quote to replace the entire system and he provided three different pricing options based on different efficiency ratings. Even the highest price quote was less than one I had received before. I opted to just replace the motor; the part was ordered yesterday and installed this morning. William Dobbels: C & G Heating and Cooling offered a great price for a whole house humidifier install. Tim came and looked at the area where the humidifier was being installed and told me the model that would fit & that the time for install would be 3-4 hours.The day of install came and the technician began the work. I checked in every now and then, and after 3 hours the technician said that he didn't have enough material to complete the install and would have to leave to get what was missing. I asked him if Tim shared any information about the setup after Tim's visit, and he said no, so there was a missed opportunity to avoid this delay. The entire job ended up taking 8 hours, which the tech apologized about.After a week of operation I noticed the humidifier was draining non-stop, so I googled this and came up with a few results (solenoid valve stuck open, or wiring was wrong). I looked into it, and if I powered off the unit the water would stop, so that ruled out the valve. I checked the wiring and had to redo some of it to get the solenoid to turn on only when the furnace would be pushing heat instead of just draining water constantly.All in all, the installation took much longer than promised, and the unit was not wired properly.Edit: C&G Heating were very helpful getting the issue resolved and supporting the install for a longer period. Great customer service after the bad install experience, pleased with their professionalism & support

Our furnace was making a noise the the guy that came out was very nice, drove out to get the part and was back within about an hour or so.He did a general service, put in the new motor and was very nice and quick about things. Price wise, well what can I say; no one likes paying $700 on house things but I feel for the labor and part and service it is what it is. Can't go without heat.I would defiantly refer them.
