SHOW ME SNOW GEESE: what do users think?
Johnny Kleinheksel: Went for snow goose conservation hunt. Very pleased with service and housing had all necessities. Had a great time while there. Our guide Calvin was hands down one of the best guides we have ever had.
Corbin Dekker: Had a killer weekend with one of the coolest and outgoing guides I have ever met shout-out Calvin. Honestly a weekend for the books. Got to shoot a bunch of birds and have a life changing experience towards waterfowl hunting. Not a thing I would change!
Nick Woltjer: Had a great experience through this outfitter!Other reviews mention walking through a muck field, go sit on the couch if you aren’t ready to have an actual hunting experience. Had a fantastic time with our guide Calvin, had good results and pounded some light geese. Definitely will be returning again 5/5
NC Life Outdoors: To start it seemed like it was going to be good. Booked hunt like 10 months in advance and what an anticipated hunt. Bought the extended mag 2 cases of shells oh yeah we were ready. One week before the hunt my friend caught the flue so only two of us ended up going out of the original 4. Mr. John was very understanding considering this situation and stated that we could move the deposit for a 2020 hunt or come on with what was paid which was for 2 hunters. So my friend and I figured we would go since the plans had been made so far ahead. We made contact with Mr. John that Wednesday and asked how the previous hunts went and wasn’t given a straight answer. Now it goes south from here sorry. We made the 12 hour trip from NC Wednesday night and got there on Thursday around lunch. Weather was not the best; rain chance of ice the worst. Hunted Friday morning with no evening hunt due to ice seen birds just passing by not a shot fired. Guide was straight forward and told us we want be getting any shots that the birds are just passing through. Yup that is refreshing to hear; at least he was honest. No Saturday morning hunt because the decoys were froze over from the freezing rain so we hunted sat from lunch to sunset with only one bird coming to the decoys and the guide said take him when the bird was behind everyone in layout blinds so you know what happen yup he got away.. Now my complaint…. Considering the weather and the way the birds were working we were not given any options of not coming and postponing the hunt till next season or anything. I do understand that sometime this is the way hunts go but when you see the weather isn’t going to be the best and you have nobody killing birds why not consider giving someone who is driving 12hrs another option. This trip coasted us $1300.00 to go out and sit in an A-frame blind on 5 gallon buckets and watch our guide play with the decoys and move about like someone who has never been hunting before. The sat hunt was a disaster because when we got to the field the guide spent 3 hours out there shaking the decoys off to remove the ice which should have been done before we got there that morning. So out of a 2 day bought and paid for hunt we only really got to hunt one day. So really consider dropping this kind of money with no guarantee of killing one bird. For an outfit with 20 years of experience they get a F minus. To any guide who reads this and says this is just the way it goes you have no conscious. Put yourself in the shoes of the customer and consider getting shafted yourself; nope it doesn’t feel good at all.
Richard Raines: Be ready for a dismal walk thru the mud to get to some of the blinds. This guy delivers you to the dikes in a pickup - and then it is justa muck walk. Also - be careful with paying up front. If you have to leave early -good luck with your refunds on trailer rentals

Glen Echo Country Club: what do users think?
tim: Perfect should you have the chance to play. Very historic and you will do well to remember it on each hole. Small greens and very fast. Enjoy
Laura Hermann: This place is a gem! So beautiful and historic! Love the food!
Paul Kohnen: Fantastic
Steve Mahfood: A real surprise! A wonderful celebration and wonderful staff‼️
Csilla Fodor: This is an amazing place. We came for lunch, and the food buffet was so delicious. Everything that we tried was amazing, from the simplest dishes to the more complex ones. The staff were super nice and great, and the whole place was beautifully decorated and well maintained.I definitely recommend this place, it has great food, nice environment, beautiful golf course, and awesome staff. It’s a good place to come with family and friends, and I will definitely come back when I get the chance again.
Dave Woolley: What a beautiful and historic facility! Built for the 1904 World's Fair, the course has turn of the 20th century charm. The staff is incredibly attentive to the needs of the members and guests and the catering is top notch! An interesting and challenging course, too!
TJ Butts: Very nice facility. It's back up in cut, kind of hard to find. Should have a sign at the entrance from Lucas and Hunt.
Thomas Sandifer: A hidden St. Louis gem!
Alicia Berry: First time there and it was very clean, spacious, cozy, and inviting perfect place for any event.
Tom Brimer: Wedding reception for Corey and Maggie Scott. Dinner, dancing, and refreshments. Excellent staff and Facilites.
Michael Buell: I have only played the course once, 70 degree day in December when the rough was short, fairways dormant, no leaves on the trees, and the greens not up to Summer condition. It is an old course on fairly hilly property. Many holes tee off down to a valley and then back up to the green. I do not recall that there are any fairway bunkers and I do not recall bunkers being directly in front of any green. There are approximately four par fours in what I would call the short range from 300 to 360 yds from the White tees. There are also about four or more long par fours over 400 yds from the white tees. The course is covered in pin oaks many of which are diseased and will have to be removed. It is my understanding that approximately 115 are slated for that. The primary course defense is the hilliness, including many fairways that slant from side to side, and the slope of the greens. Because many are on the top edge of a hill there is more slope to the green than appears. Most of the holes are straight away and the few dog legs that exist are mild. This overall setup requires you to be able to move the ball both ways from the tee or at the very least hit a straight drive that you can aim up the left or right side to ensure that it finishes in the fairway. With most of the greens elevated you have to be able to drop the approach where needed rather than run the ball up even though most of the greens are open in the front. The greens are not overly large either so where you leave the ball on the green is important. You don't want to be behind the hole too often when the pin is near the front or even in the center. The bunkers are fairly deep and some have pretty steep walls facing the green. The sand is very fine but not exceedingly deep but that may just have been the winter conditions. Keep your tee shots in the fairway because you will not get enough spin out of the rough to control your distance to an uphill green. I look forward to playing this course in season and perhaps give it a more fair assessment. The staff is very nice and helpful. We had lunch in the restaurant and I thought there were a number of good choices and everything was well prepared. It's a great old Tudor style country clubhouse that could use some updates to the locker rooms.
Guy Kellerman: Very nice and a great place to have a Christmas party no matter the setting.I would have preferred an old-fashioned Christmas setting my self. But that wasnt the setting the company i was with choice. The baby grand and big fireplace are a great hit be nice to have the piano by the bar in the fireplace room
L Greer: Beautiful clubhouse and fascinating history. The oldest golf course west of the Mississippi. I attended a luncheon and the food was wonderful.
Deborah Jones: Great
It's Me: This is a very nice place to have an event.
William Sinon: An absolute showcase club here in STL. Become a member. Big recommendation
Tim Keeney: Glen Echo is a beautiful and challenging course! All of the staff we interacted with were enthusiastic, friendly and helpful. The facilities are very nicely kept, too. If you ever have an opportunity to accompany a member be sure you do it.
Dwayne Bass: I grew up in Bel-Nor and know the course well. It's a classic layout that challenges you on every hole.
Carl Holt: I was fortunate to be a member at GECC for 10 years. Recently moved out of state so had to leave which was bittersweet. This club gave me so much. When I moved to STL I didn’t know anyone. At this club along with life long friends including one that ended up standing up in my wedding- I found my Lawyer, Jeweler, Dentist and Financial Advisor. It gave me so many connections in a new city. I LOVED the golf course. It’s an old classic track with fast greens and great variety. I miss the days going out after work playing a round of golf on a beautiful summer evening. Then having an adult beverage or two after the round with friends. This place will always be in my heart and can’t wait to come back and visit. If your looking for a great club that isn't pretentious, this is the one. Very welcoming and accommodating. Great Golf Course, Great Club, Great People. Thank you GECC!
Michelle Haley: Awesome day for golf at the best course in St Louis
Nancy Minnick: This is a lovely old country club. We had dinner on the patio while enjoying the sunset across the golf course. Causal, friendly service and family friendly( we had a 2yr old with us). Food and beverages were delicious. I recommend the Cobb salad.
