Marie: Terrible with my aunt's care
E Gregory: I have a family member that required extensive in-home care. The staff are knowledgeable, kind and there to assist with a positive and delightful attitude. They are thoughtful, caring, concerned and empathetic. This not only applies to the loved one that needs assistance but also to the family living with the loved one. The staff helps bring balance to the household. The administration is forthcoming and tentative with regard to putting the right caregivers with you or your loved on. They spent three hours with us in an initial assessment just to confirm our particular needs. The administration even brought up unforeseen issues or tasks that had not crossed our minds. They also heard our voice. When a caregiver doesn’t gel personality wise with the loved one, they have been extremely accommodating. This company walks a fine line between client and caregiver to guarantee that both sides are secure and comfortable. In addition they have a special team on standby in the event your caregiver has an unforeseen emergency. This special team is tremendous! However, usually they can find another available caregiver to assist . The staff as a whole has been amazing. I’ve gone through several different companies for various loved ones but none like this! I’m extremely pleased with this company.

Dave Sharp: Abbey and the entire team did a wonderful job helping with my aging in-laws. They were flexible, helpful, and gracious. The caregiver Barbara was fantastic: productive, knowledgeable, patient, and caring. She gave my mother-in-law showers and other personal care, and went above and beyond helping with household chores as well. She cleaned out their overflowing refrigerator of expired and rotten food, found the bleach in the house, and disinfected the whole thing in a single visit! Thanks, Barbara! Really wonderful. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My dad enjoyed the company and the caregivers were very kind. I was happy with how helpful and responsive the office was as well. If there was a last minute change in schedules they were always on top of it.I would use them again.

Pat Zewiski: There are not enough words to adequately express my gratitude and pleasure with Assistance Home Healthcare. Everyone we dealt with was extremely caring and sincere. For the six months prior to my mom's passing away, we had in-home healthcare from AHC. My mom was 102 years old, had dementia and some physical problems. Because of AHC, she was able to stay in her home for those six months. AHC was recommended to us by a social worker. They came to my mom's home to meet her and talk with us. We immediately liked what they had to offer. We can not say enough about Mom's care taker, Sherri Bitter. She was so kind and caring and gentle with my mom. The whole family got to know her and love her. Mom could not have been in better hands when we weren't able to be with her. Thank you Sherri for everything you did for Mom. She loved you! Also, thank you to Karen Gotlieb who filled in for Sherri for a period of time. Karen was also very good to my mom. I so very highly recommend this company! They worked very closely with us, making sure we were satisfied and happy with Mom's care and even made home visits to see how things were going. Thank you Kevin Kennedy, Abbey Kister, Jack Serfas, Emerald Heembrock, Erin Hollandsworth, Jessica Sunnenberg, and especially Sherri and Karen. I apologize if I missed anyone. Jeff Summers: Excellent experience working with Assistance Home Care to help care for my 93 year old mom. The entire team from caregivers to the administrative team is friendly, helpful and professional. Due to dementia, Mom has lived in our home for over five years. So grateful to Assistance Home Care for listening, understanding Mom’s needs and providing experienced caregivers. The caregivers were prompt, attentive and made Mom comfortable and happy. Evan Lefton: DANGEROUS, NEGLECTFUL, UNSKILLED*At the onset of Covid AHC told us that if we wanted their staff to wear masks, we would have to provide them ourselves!*Almost half of our care team contracted Covid and my mother had to be repeatedly taken for testing due to exposure from THEIR employees.*As the death toll rose and AHC finally agreed to provide and mandate masks, they were continuously worn incorrectly or not at all. Cameras needed to be installed to assure us that staff complied to protocol.*AHC called our family stating we should gather to say our goodbyes to our loved one. Upon arriving and finding my mother happy and fine, it was later determined to be a miscommunication by AHC staff member.*Multiple absences and untrained subs were dropped in with little to no training on details such as oxygen or medication.*Multiple doctor and therapy appointments were missed due to negligence of staff. After paying multiple missed appointment fees, AHC agreed to pay them.*Client fell and hit her head while staff was in the next room watching TV.*Client was left lying in soiled sheets until the next shift arrived.*Employee had no experience on safe transportation to bath or shower.AHC created constant stress and worry. Do not put a loved one in their hands.

The caregivers were compassionate, efficient, and caring., The management is responsive and there for you when you need them. The schedulers are flexible and reliable. Did we have a bump or two -- it's a people business -- so that is inevitable -- but overall I'm happy to recommend them

The first person that we worked with was Sarah (and we continue to work with her as she is our contact person)....she has been fantastic! She is a great listener and a wonderful problem solver. She helped us find the right person for Dad and everything is running very smoothly! Michael is experienced and very knowledgeable...their (Michael and Dad's) personalities seem to work well together! Needless to say, we are very thankful to have found The Key!
Andrea Pierro: I am so happy I found TheKey to help care for my father! His caregiver is kind, does an excellent job each week of laundry, cleaning, bathing, and food prep. I speak to her on the phone during her visits and she communicates anything my father needs or if there is something that needs further attention. He really enjoys her visits. I love the caregiver log so I can see the tasks that are checked off and any comments. The staff are wonderful and caring and took the time to answer all my questions when exploring the service and we had an introductory meeting as well. Bill Artzt: I can highly recommend Home Care Assistance of St Louis. After my shoulder surgery, I had care givers assisting me for over 2 months. What I appreciated was first of all a number of great care givers who helped me with all facets of my life after surgery including running errands. I also was grateful that if a caregiver was not the best fit for me, they would find me someone who was better. Also, if I was not the best fit for a caregiver, they found another assignment for that individual. Which tells me they care about the client and the care giver being a good fit for one another.

She's here to help and be nice not manipulate and make my grandma uncomfortable in her OWN HOME. Send her away and give us someone different

With her medical background and training as a physician's assistant, as well as her friendly way of relating to people, she is an excellent representative of the company. I have also heard good things about the company through other people who have used it or who have met Carrie or other people who work there.
Susie Kohlhagen: I am a case manager and have worked with Carrie Burggraf, liason for Home Care Assistance. Whenever I have contacted Carrie to meet with patients about their home care needs, she comes to the hospital within 1-2 hours to speak with the patient and family in need and assist them with their situation in whatever way she can. She is friendly and compassionate. She will provide resources and referrals even if the family opts out of home care. I have trust and confidence in making referrals to Home Care Assistance.

Elizabeth Gassner: The staff was professional and caring. They spent the time that was needed to learn about my Mom to give her the best services possible. They recognized how hard this process was for me as an individual having to acknowledge Mom needed outside care, and that the process of creating a comprehensive care plan for her was, at times, difficult for me. The caregiver they matched Mom up with is perfect.

Ilean Cross: Caring for an elderly parent isn't easy, and finding a care team you can trust is even more difficult. Care Solutions has been a god-send in our lives. The care and attentiveness my mom receives from the professionals at Care Solutions is awesome. From tiding up her apartment, running errands and assisting her with medications has help my mom live independently, while giving me peace of mind knowing her daily needs are being met. She remained pleasant and accommodating through all of my date and need changes. The staff that worked with my grandfather used all Covid precautions, and were caring and understanding of his needs. I highly recommend Care Solutions, and if need be will use again in the future.

She gave us a thorough intake and assigned Marcella to be with my mom. Marcella has been a godsend. She is reliable, kind, helpful, sweet, hardworking, good values, and feels like family after just a short time. She puts up with my stubborn mom. She has given me so much peace of mind, which is invaluable. Thrilled that we got lucky with this recommendation from our Geriatric Care Manager!

India Palm: I gave 3 stars because home are assistance is actually a awesome place to work for i really miss the clients I’ve worked with in the past but their were recently a lot of changes with management etc and has gone down tremendously. I really miss all the old team members because they really worked with you and around your schedule if you worked another job etc. i have always been PRN and PRN is as needed and i would pick up to help out when I’m available. Sara and a few others are not so accommodating and are a bit harsh their attitudes are trash and i would never apply for this company again unless they make changes with management how it use to be over the years. I would not recommend applying here it’s not the same.

Mia Crowe: I worked for them 8 years ago (2014) before I was diagnosed with cancer and I really appreciated and enjoyed working for them. I don’t know how they are now (2022) but if they’ve changed for the worse they should return to conducting their business the way they use to in 2014. I wanted to return to working for them but the extent of chemo & radiation I received ruined me physically; making it impossible for me to return to work, I now live on disability.

Alex Smith: Our family had caregivers for our parents for several years. We kept the same one, as my father loved her, and she loved him. She was a part of our family. My parents have passed, but we still get together with her, and keep in touch. The staff in the office, and the nurses that came out for evaluations were always helpful and very nice. We couldn't have had a better experience. !

Leslie Horkman: Not the best healthcare workers or home health service. Not very nice or professional either. They do not understand people who have dementia or real disability like tumor cerebr where it affects their memory. Not recommended.

Both of the caretakers took good care of mom after surgery, cleaned, did laundry, and took her places. It was a life saver for me!
