John Markley: Came to visit during a trip to STL since I have no access to true high end brick and mortar stores in my home in Missouri. I met two very knowledgeable representatives, Rob and Eric. Both took a lot of time to answer many questions I had regarding home theater and dedicated 2 channel. The big Boulder room was very nicely setup and demonstrated the equipment well. They have multiple rooms designed to showcase setups small to large and across all budgets. Spent about 2 hours there altogether with no pressure but a lot of great information. Nice oasis where music and sound reproduction takes precedent. Both gentlemen were approachable and affable. Ended up purchasing a Rel sub for the center channel in one of my rigs. I will almost certainly give them more business in the future. Easy to recommend.

Craig Kaminer: I have been a customer of Music for Pleasure since the 90's. Surprisingly, many of the same crew works here still and always know my equipment, how it was installed and why something may need updating. Recently, my Bluesound Node2 stopped working. I brought it in and they swapped it out. No hassles, no returning it to the manufacturer... they just swapped it out and everything is working again perfectly. They are really the only hifi and high end surround sound shop in St. Louis. Chicago has one too, but I think MFP is the best. If you are looking for a hifi shop with people who know their stuff and are extremely passionate, then you have found the right place.

John M: I was excited to visit on my day off because i had never been here before and wanted to see and hear what they had to offer. I was looking to upgrade some of my current gear. I was hoping to find education and guidance. I don't waste money on expensive cars or clothes, but i waste plenty on stereo equipment. I drove a 85 Cougar, wore bluejeans and a T-shirt. because of that, i believe the sales guys made some presumptions about me and were not willing to help me. The entire time i was there i felt as if they just wanted me to leave. I drove a long way to get there. I came prepared and brought my favorite orchestrated music CD. After getting permission, I sat down in a room and put in my CD. the sales person went into the next room over and turned up the volume up, I was unable to listen for the details i was wanting to hear. I would ask a question about the room acoustics or sound i was hearing to try and compare it to what i would hear in my own home, and they would become defensive as if they were prepared for a huge argument. They dodged all my questions by telling me things like i was not there for the original recording of the song, so i cant possibly know what it is supposed to sound like, So i cant possibly know if it sounds good or bad. Basically being extremely defensive and unwilling to help. So i would ask what they recommend for me and that didn't get me anywhere either, after asking enough questions it became apparent to me that these guys just wanted me to leave. After having a conversation with two of the guys there i feel as if they know nothing about sales. What they should be doing is questioning their customers, Inquire about their current setup to determine what gear could be upgraded. Ask them about their music tastes to determine what sound they are looking for. And ask them about their budget to determine what products you should be showing them. Don't just shoo people away, It's bad business. Sure if they are looking for a soundbar point them elsewhere. But you should find out how deep their pockets go or what they are willing to spend before you walk away. That is basic salesmanship. I might visit again sometime in the future, hopefully your sales team is more professional by then.

Dennis McDonald: These guys are great. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. There is no push to force you into buying anything, so I will sometimes just stop by to ask questions and find out about new products. They are always willing to help.

Christian Schneider: I was looking for a replacement for my 30-year-old equipment without having to spend the equivalent of a used car. Rob made a number of great suggestions that were exactly tailored to my needs. I also appreciated his prompt replies to my questions (via phone or email). When I had difficulties to get my new gear running, he knew immediately what the problem was and fixed it. Very good experience, highly recommended!

G Livingston: The staff at Music for Pleasure is top notch! Dwayne & Eric and Rob are really dialed in to knowing how to fill your listening needs offering numerous alternatives to fit within you budget and genre desires. It is easy to turn on some music and say, "What do you think?" and that is what you get at Big Blue, but not here. These guys take it to the next level and customize solutions and educate you on things in the process. I have learned more from an equipment state point of view in the last three months than I have in a lifetime regarding quality equipment and points of differentiation to help in the decision process. I am a musician and have a fairly good ear, but these guys have played music for me on very obtainable systems financially and I am hearing things that I have not ever experienced before. I have played tracks on their equipment that you can not tell if it is a recording or live drums and cymbals as I own some of the gear on the tracks played. You don't know what you have been missing until you go into a quality shop like this and spend some time with Dwayne and Eric and Rob. The are knowledgeable, ethical and good guys to deal with. They also will come to your home and get everything calibrated to maximize your experience with the equipment. I'm glad I found these guys!

Trevor Williams: After reading reviews on google for Virtual Home Services it was an easy choice to call and schedule an appointment. The response was fast the quote was more than fair for the work I was asking for. I needed over 8 POE Lan drops ran through an attic I knew my mobility was not the best choice to perform the work. I also needed 6 external cameras mounted to complete my home network. Doug came out and answered every question I had. It was clear from the start he was knowledgeable, and my installation would not be a problem. The communication was on point, and I was contacted on the install day with an ETA. The workmanship of him and his team were fantastic. They only needed 1 small access hole in the wall which they patched to my satisfaction and even installed cable brackets in the attic for all runs to create a clean off the attic floor install. This attention to detail on even non visible areas is how it should be done for any future cable runs or attic insulation upgrades. The cable runs were neatly bundled, the camera boxes were sealed on the outside to prevent moisture penetration and when the install was completed I had NO mess to clean up. Doug offered suggestions, choices, and valuable input where needed for things I may not have thought about and did a final walkthrough before he left to make sure I had no concerns. Doug also personally followed up with me two days later to make sure things were still satisfactory. From start to finish VHS did a 5 star job and I could not be happier. Should any further needs arise for myself or anyone I know, far and away I will recommend VHS.

They came in way under budget and added a lot of value such as sourcing networking equipment I was unable to find on my own.If you need Smart Home installation, PoE Cameras, or even wiring your house up with ethernet (or fiber) this company is your best choice in St. Louis without question.I had other company's that were traditional handy man companies that didn't understand the tech and wanted to charge me more than double what VHS charged me.The work I had completed:Cat6a ran throughout my house for PoE Cameras, Wifi Access Points, and RJ45 wall outlets. I now have 10Gbe for my home which will make my Wifi much faster and more stable.I will be using them again for future smart home stuff. If you are building a home you need to have VHS at least wire it up with ethernet.

Technicians change over constantly and they are incapable of servicing their own install. Owner is rude and oblivious to this idea of customer service. Highly recommend stearing clear of this company.

Chris Dickey: Creative Audio Video & Automation was top notch. I found them online and appreciated that they were a smaller locally owned and operated business and not "big box". You certainly could tell this with amount of personal service and communication. Kevin, owner, personally walked me through the choice of equipment and provided his opinions when asked. He even moved some things around to install on the one day I could be home all day for the installer, which made my work life much easier. At the end of the day - I have two new 65in Sony OLED TVs with universal remotes. Everything was programmed for me and they even moved items on the remote to suit my preferences. They made sure everything worked and made sure I knew how to use the system before leaving. The installers were polite and worked the whole time they were there. I would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends. Top Notch company.

Judi Lund: We recently had Creative Audio Video mount a new large screen TV. The job involved moving 2 existing TV's to different locations and one was a completely new installation. All were wall mounts. Although I was very worried about everything working out, I couldn't have been more pleased. The 2 installers, Jon and Russ, were punctual, tidy, polite, and efficient. They got right to work and finished the whole job sooner that anticipated. They both were quite helpful and patient with the questions we had about the equipment. They did a great job explaining everything to us, and everything worked perfectly when they left, and it still does. I would not hesitate to recommend them and use them again for a future job, perhaps updating our wifi. I have had a couple of questions since regarding updates and minor issues. They were answered quite promptly and completely.

Andy Fisher: They did ok but my final setup was not what I expected even though the sales guy told me what he recommended and we agreed on it was not what was delivered. Just make sure what you are quoted is what you are expecting with these guys. I called them out on it and they basically told me I was out of luck because the wording in the quote had some tech terms that were not clearly stated. I feel like more was promised then was delivered.
