Cliff Cave County Park: what do users think?
Deborah Vigus: Beautiful cave, nice paved paths...love the VIEWS!
Mary Ann Young Schulte: There are many trails here that are great for all fitness levels. My favorite is the lower level one near the river. It's .5 of a mile long and shady.
Tim Yandal: Very nice outdoor cover. Nice trails throughout park
Ariel Stavri: It's ok. Mediocre hiking.
steve swederski: Excellent trails for walking or biking.Views of the river, Deer, shade.Restrooms: Very clean.
David Henderson: This was a neat trail we just discovered. The roads are paved and wide. Good for bikes. There is also a significant mountain bike trail here. There are some great open views at lookout points. The whole place is easy to traverse. There are several loops from about a half mile, and a 4 mile loop. This place is less shaded than some trails due to how wide the trails are.
Dusty Ole Dude: Great trails, great views, bathrooms, and water fountains in enough places to enjoy the area and always be able to recharge.Restrooms: I mean, they're really just outhouses, but they're fairly well maintained.Dog-friendliness: Great place to walk the pups. Paved and unpaved trails. Please keep them leashed and bring poop bags.
henry “Hank”: Wide asphalt trails, some unpaved. Use lower parking lot for better accessRestrooms: Clean!
Dana Belleville: It's beautiful and has a fabulous aroma because of the plants it has a bike trail along with multiple walking trails I love looking over the cliff and looking at the Mississippi it just nature and beautyRestrooms: Clean and updatedDog-friendliness: Walk with dogs on leash
emmaster: There are many trails and lots of nice views. You can take the uppertrailhead to a small lookout area that overlooks the Mississippi. There is a bathroom on-site but beware of the carpenter bees guarding it. 😅
Jonathan Schattke: They took away the trail map.
Sam Apponey: Love the walking paths and trails.
Carol Gaither: Playground: Absolutely beautifulDog-friendliness: CleanPicnic area: Large great place
Shilpa Sanapala: We started from the lower parking lot and hiked to the upper trailhead. There are plenty of paved and unpacked trails. The 4.3 mile loop at the lower parking lot by river Mississippi is great for running too.
Thomas Zoumaras: An urban/suburban treasure a few miles south of Jefferson Barracks along the Mississippi River. Accessible via Cliff Cave Road to a parking lot at the top of the plateau, or from a paved path along Telegraph (that is easy to miss) that descends to switch backs and a bridge that crosses Cliff Cave Road before reaching the river where there are more trails. There are unpaved hiking and mountain bike trails from the afore mentioned parking lot as well as a short paved trail that takes you directly to a good overlook.
Grace Wright: The Mississippi Greenway is beautiful. The overlook on the bluffs is breathtaking.
Brian Simmons: Amazing park, definitely will return.
Madelyn Mew: beautiful place
Lynn M: I like cliff Cave parks. It's relaxing and good for walking fur babies too! If you enjoy the woods and nature and a good walk with your four legged friend I would recommend cliff Cave parks for sure!
Charles Budenholzer: Great place to go if you're into rc rock crawling!
Shannon Wileman: Love the huge paved trail

Hawk Ridge Trail: what do users think?
Mark T: Nice trails with a few hills to enhance the workout
Andy Lowenthal: Quiet scenic trail in West county. Trail does have several hills.
Aubrey Sydow: Hawk Ridge is a stunning and relaxing trail! There’s a handful of different routes to take. The main trail is about 4 mi with a mix of concrete and gravel walkways. The scenery is beautiful with a few areas to sit and read a book along the way.It can get a little busy, but it’s not too crowded by any means. You might encounter horses on part of the trail which can be a pleasant surprise. It’s the perfect way to start the day!
Frecky Lewis: At 4.4 miles, this is the longest of the Queeny Park trails. It runs basically around the perimeter of the park, including right along Mason Road on the east side. It is primarily paved but has some rocky sections as well. A very popular trail!

John F. Kennedy Memorial Forest: what do users think?
becki benz: A diamond in the rough!!! I never knew this place existed and was beyond thrilled with not only the snow cone, but the snowballs they sell as well.Friendly, fast, affordable, and they take card!
Becky Hansis-O'Neill: Great birding and lots of wildlife.
Marilyn Rusan: Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure Price for adult entry FreeMore
Linda Smart: There is a security guard entrance to get through very beautiful place. I got to see lots of deer.
Amy Joy Camp: This is best place in all of stl
Jarrod West: Great place to hike and meditate. Tranquility and Peace are abundant in this hidden gem in the heart of our urban forest.
Azzurra N: Beautiful 🤩🤩🤩
Brent Punch: Forest Park is like being out in the country very clean safe you have to go
Art Leverenz: Hidden gem in Forest Park. Trails are rarely crowded, and the ecological restoration has produced wonderful results. The wooded areas are full of native wildflowers in spring, and the savanna areas are full of native flowers in summer. Urban oasis of wildlife.
Carter Staley: This is one of the most relaxing places to get away and it's hidden right in the middle of the city. When you're deep inside the densely packed forest, you can hardly hear the nearby highway or any city noises, just birds and the wind. There's multiple walking trails and bike trails, bridges and streams. I visit the forest multiple times a week to recharge and center myself. Especially beautiful and lush in the Spring.
Party Animals: It's always nice. The trail is great and it's not to gar from a nice walk to the zoo and art hill.
Matt Alvino: About as close to a forest oasis you are going to get within city limits. We were here in the winter so the pictures are not doing it justice. Some parts are deep enough in the woods where you don't see cars or building anymore.Combination of concrete, gravel, and dirt paths throughout. Trails are kind of a cluster that go off in crazy directions without a real loop. If you do the actual quasi loop I thinks it's barely a mile.
lisa kriz: Beautiful and fun and very relaxing. 👍😊☝great place to hang and play African drums 👍👊

Edgar M. Queeny County Park: what do users think?
b m: Nice place but no public restroomsPlayground: Cool little playground, very uniqueRestrooms: NonePicnic area: Simple picnic tables
karen dowd: Dog-friendliness: Dogs on leash throughout the park plus a fenced dog park for off leash play
Steve Underwood: This place always has the greatest people, and love the equipment. We started playing Mario Bros and I was singing the songs as we ran around playing everyone pretty much had a similar experience, and it was enhanced as I played the music.
Grant Doty: St Louis gem of a park. Great wooded 4 mile running path... together with St Louis's other gem Forest Park, with its 6 mile loop... my go to parks.
Hunter Knight: Vast and beautiful
WillyWorld: I walk this park all time. It has many great trails that make you feel like you are in the forest and far away from the city. I usually do the Hawk Ridge trail which is around 7mi. It’s pretty much guaranteed you will see deer and other wild life every time. I’ve even seen a white squirrel, which was bizarre. Today I saw this Eastern Box turtle. He was pretty big and probably several years old. Who knows what I’ll find next?
Kim Pond: We always enter from Mason Road, right where the horses are usually unloaded, etc. and have. It had any issues with parking. Queeny is always a beautiful park for long or short hikes, depending on your mood. There are a couple of water features like ponds that are very nice and some steep hills depending on your trail. The loop that goes around the equestrian area has a field of wild flowers and grass and it’s really scenic. Tons of animals, especially deer, and I missed a picture of a falcon on this day! Definitely recommended!
Don Draper: Huge park with a large members dog park that was unfortunately for members only. We saw a skating rink, large kids playground, walking trails and an indoor arts and crafts festival with wine and beer tastings and more. Worth the drive from Chesterfield.
Nick Saali: Five stars!
Wendy Meese: I love this park. Great playground, ice skating, hiking/running trails and now a gigantic dog park.
Daryl Mccoy: Great family park
praveen Patelkhana: Very beautiful park with horse trails beautiful pond…it has a hilly terrain making it a tough track for runners but beautiful nonetheless
Peggy Irving: Great park with nice trails for walking and biking
Matt Gossman: Large wooded park, nice hiking paths. Large dog park.
mannis8000: This park is awesome! Lots of places for pets to run around! I let my husband off the leash and he gets to run free just for a few moments, it makes him so happy!
Elias Twitchell: This is a large park that offers a lot of different peaceful spots. A large dog park and lots of trails through both field and forest. The paved paths even offer some dry walking during winter.
Chris Davidson: Nice family park
Margaret Quaka: Great trails, great playground and the hikers are friendly!
Sarah Starosta: Nice park to hike. Not too just usually
Clinton Swisher: One of the best parks in st louis
Terry Kay: Fantastic a lot of trail options

Emmenegger Nature Park: what do users think?
andrew vigueira: Very nice place to enjoy the outdoors. Good walking paths. Nice view of the Merrimack river.
David Henderson: It's a 2 mile loop on the outer wooded trail and a half mile loop on the hardball interior road. The outer loop isn't on the map. It's pretty neat though. It has some good little climbs with some nice spots for pictures and some cool little bridge crossings. It's well kept too. The only thing was it has a part that kind of just goes out of the woodline and into someone's back yard. We got there and had to double back. There's a lot of neat exploring opportunity with the kids and the trail isn't very difficult in any areas.
Ralph Godsy: Dog-friendliness: Leash required . Dogs love it.
Christina Woehrle: Great trails!
Mallory W: A great place for an easy hike and beautiful scenery! The short loop trail is the perfect length and difficulty for the three year old!
Jon Copeland: Great place for day hikes.
katherine wodell: A nice place for a short hike. Challenging. Lots of flowers in the apring.
MM Harmon: Great paved & shaded trails through the woods here
Jackie Ferry: I've been hiking here since I was a teenager and I love it
Sarah Lorentz: A few people out, but mostly had the tail to ourselves. One person let their puppy off leash and it ran over to us. It was friendly but i was glad i didn't bring my dog (there are signs that day you must keep your dog on leash)
Brian Van Hoosier: A hidden gem for all abilities to explore. A well cleaned and paved trail and tons of offshoots to go wonder in. Never had the same adventure there twice. People are friendly and even when packed they are never too busy
P James: Great small park with hiking next to the river hidden near 44 and 270!
GoogleUser541: Pretty cool place to hike! Sweet views with a couple different trails. We went up the hill to the top where it ends at a field with some apricot trees. Picked some and took them home. Saw a ton of deer. But on the way back we saw a lady talking to the cops after she caught someone breaking into her car. So keep it empty if you plan to park here
Besa Schweitzer: Nice place for a short hike, less crowded than powder valley.
Sara: Great park for walking or hiking right next to the Meramac River and 44. Plenty of trails, some paved and unpaved. When doing the bluff trail start counterclockwise to save the best views for closer to the end. Nothing seems to be marked very well so I would suggest the All Trails App or some other trail app unless you have a decent sense of direction. Fun park that you could explore for a couple hours easily.Dog-friendliness: Dogs must be on a leashPicnic area: There is a pavilion there but plenty of open space for a picnic blanket as well.
Leyla Rose Bland: Saw some beautiful sights. Sunset, moonrise. It was magical.
Samuel DiLorenzo: Very uneventful park with limited acreage. Paved path but no bicycle rule which is pretty inexplicable. Nice location by the Meremac river though
De'Arra Hollins: This is a great park to get in some much needed steps. There are different trails to take for the level of hiking you are looking for. And it great if you want to go off trail as well.
KristynaE R: Favorite trails, clean and path was cleaned off, bathroom was clean and several people came and went and plenty of parking.
Adie Bennett: I love Emmenegger! The paved trails are a lovely quick meander through the woods. When you take the unpaved trails you frequently see deer and other small mammals.Note of advice. Wear bugpsray! The mosquitoes are horrible here in all seasons except winter!
Drew McAllister: One of our favorite hikes in the St. Louis area.

River Scene Trail: what do users think?
Ann Cotter: Recommended activities Hiking, Running, Biking, Dog WalkingMore
Cody Cummings: The river scene trail was great. If you choose to start from the parking area closest to the entrance, you’ll have a hike that takes you straight up a rocky path at a pretty steep angle. Make sure to wear good fitting shoes and watch your footing for loose rocks. Once you’re at the top, you’ll have excellent views of the forest and river. If you plan on hanging out at the beach, you might want to skip the views and start the trail from the last parking area closest to the train bridge tunnel. Watch out for snakes on the section of trail that runs along the river. Some are very small, and don’t pose any threat. Just make sure they don’t get trampled.Parking: Best advice it to pick a lot and stay there while you wait for a car to leave. It would also be a good idea to get there early before the rush.
mrpenguin: Recommended activities Hiking, BikingMore
jessica rollberg: Stunning!!! 😍 it was a beautiful day, lotsa people, lotsa dogs!!! The overlook of the river was beautiful, a hilly terrain though. The trail ended due to flooding.
Rob Presson: A must see. It's a pleasant hike or bike ride. It's not for those with heart issues though
Shawn Cantrell: 1/29/2023 First time ever being here this was a lovely treat great viewpoints the river looked awesome is the first time it was decent out so parking was pretty full but it was worth it
Varsha Muppalaneni: Easy 2 mile loop hike took us 1 hour to finish. The beautiful view at the top of the trail is worth watching.
David B: Nice easy hike with great views of the Meramec River.
Matt Faust: Very scenic trail, very picturesque. Mostly canopy so easily shaded. The beginning is a steep hill that goes for a while. Then stairs on the way down. Flat for the remainder. 3.3 miles we did in under 2 hours with plenty of stops. Bring at least a bottle of water per person. Trailhead starts right across from restrooms near playground.
Martin 007: Great e-bike trail!
Mandisa Fayola Nelson: Well worth the walk!
Bobby Joe Eldridge: Beautiful view and well marked paths, would recommend.
Mark T: Probably the most popular trail at Castlewood for good reason. It's short at 3.1 miles, hills are not bad and views of the Mermac are excellent
S Ahmadzai: Superb view
Serge Suprun: Medium difficulty trail with solid incline in the beginning and beautiful views of river. We hiked during light rain and trees protected us.Stay hydrated.
DAS: One of the most beautiful spots in the state.
Sarah Jude: Beautiful trail, fairly easy but some rocky inclines and a steep stairway may be challenging to those with mobility concerns. Lots of gorgeous overlooks of the river. Good for birdwatching.
Wolf paradox: Great hiking area
Naveen Reddy: They enjoyed alot❤,There are lots of viewpoints and it has best landscapes,scenaries...
Jazmine Hope: It’s a really steep trail with different gravel and dirt trails but the views are so worth it!
Sandra Rocio Alba Rosas: The best place of all in Saint louis

Gravois Greenway: Mysun Charitable Foundation Trailhead: what do users think?
X Gemstone: With ample trails for walking and biking, I was also entertained by the various educational signs available. The parking lot was conveniently located right next to the restrooms and the exit to a nearby highway. Not only this, however, the jungle gym was close to the entrance as well.Additionally, near the entrance, it was well groomed, and there were several very nice flower compositions.
Gail Mckay: Love this trail!!! For walking, riding or blading This trail is the Best!
Don Clinton: Good place to ride bikes for today or just walk
BP BlueEyes: Nice and quiet section of the trail. Especially walking towards Reavis Barracks. Scenic and peaceful.
Carol Dorsey: Good place to begin a bike ride or stop for a rest.
Abby Bartlett: This entry point for Grant’s Trail is a great place to get started with your day of cycling or walking. The trailhead was easy to find and parking was readily available. There are always some other people using the trail around, so it doesn’t feel particularly sketchy or unsafe to leave my car/belongings here. I’d recommend this trailhead for people who want to visit Grant’s Trail!
Mike Dewes: Great place to take a break on the trail.
Timothy Rutherford: A very nice wide walking and Biking Trail. Very well marked, miles and information both.
Amie Flowers: Love the addition to the trail and the care being put into keeping it as natural as possible.
Robert Browdy: Very nice trail. Trail head is awesome too.
Scott Fleming: Functional bathrooms, bike repair station and small playground.
tom duong: It's awesome. Great path to ride
Tim Murphy: Great ride through the old neighborhood!
Jim Noack: This was the first time I rode this trail and it was awesome. The pavement was smooth and the trail was clean from trash and debris. There was two rest stops with bathrooms and drinking fountains. I started at carondelet park and rode to River Des Peres, crossed over a pedestrian bridge and jumped on the trail that went along highway 55. This crossed over Bayless to Reavis Barracks Rd. I continued on the trail to Union Dr., and that's when I jumped off the trail and road up Union to South county mall. I will be riding this trail often and highly recommend riding or walking this trail often.
sara figueroa: Lovely place to ride bikes and birdwatch. We saw redwing black birds, pleated woodpeckers, and wild turkeys tonight.
Mary Ann Young Schulte: I went here to walk. It's a great trail more suited for bicycle riding.
Frank Belleville: Really nice.
Kevin Beard: Love it!!
Vincent Italiano: Always my go-to place for a nice bike ride or walking the dog.
Dan Hartwig: Trail is in good shape. Relatively quiet for an urban trail.
Gunslinger77: Great place to get miles on bike when the trails are muddy
