Darin Lewis: Mek Mi tell you, you’d think you were in Jamaica by just walking in the spot, then the food, will definitely put your imagination on the beaches of Jamaica it’s so tongue slap yo brains out delicious. It’s become one of my favorite restaurants.
rosalind latham: Bad decision 😪. I have been to this restaurant several times. I usually get the oxtail or jerk chicken. The last time i came the jerk chicken did not taste the same so I stopped buying it. I got the oxtails this time. I got home and opened my food and started to eat it. I tasted something burnt so I looked at the oxtail. They were burnt on the outside and they usually are cooked real tender, but not this time. I rubbed some of the sauce off and you could see that they were old and not freshly cooked. I tasted the rice that comes with it and it tasted like regular rice, not the Jamaican style rice I usually get with my order. I then tasted the cabbage and immediately spit it out, it tasted horrible! I was like, this can't be cooked by the same people that I ordered the same food from before! No way! Needless to say I was and still am soooooooo disappointed about my food! Will not go back after that. I had called in my order and still had to wait a while before I received it.

D Train: My very first visit to this place was horrible. No one greeted me. I had to ask can someone take my order. An older gentleman, which I assume is the owner sits at a table and begins to clip his toe nails. Just gross. I will never go back and suggest noone else eats there

M: Some of the best food I've eaten in STL, and I have had a lot over the years from many very fine dining establishments. Everything I had was excellent - jerk chicken, beans and brown rice, and steamed cabbage. I am quite full from the generous portions, but I nevertheless want more. I know I will be back soon. This place is LEGIT. Perhaps the best chicken I've ever eaten.
Ramone Hamilton: Jerk chicken was to die for
emmaster: The food is really delicious, but the portions have gone down. For two people, we paid a little over $31 for 2 plates of what is pictured. The first time we came here, there was a much bigger amount of chicken. Also, watch out for the chicken bones—each piece is filled with them and they are easy to choke on!
Kyle Johnson: Chez Ali is one of the underrated options within the City Foundry food hall. It is located on the far western end of the food hall, and I think the food items are among the more adventurous so they may not get as much traffic.I am far from an expert on Jamaican food, but my $14 plate of Jamaican jerk chicken, red beans and rice, and cabbage was outstanding!!! The chicken is flavored so, so well, and while you do have to be careful about the bones (as some people have lamely complained about on here), it's doable with a little bit of work. I am not a huge cabbage person, but mixing in the cabbage with the red beans and rice was delightful. I ate my whole plate over the course of 25 minutes and felt full and great the rest of the day! Chez Ali may not be at the top of people's list at the Foundry, but I would definitely work it into the rotation.
Marissa Brown: Good food. Only complaint is you don’t know if they will have oxtails until you are there. There’s no schedule they have for them. There’s no way to call and check. There’s no update on a website. You just have to make the drive and hope for the best. If they could be more consistent with their menu, that would be great!
Jerry Stamson: Jerk Chicken was amazing. Wonderful food.
Misa Mirzaee: I know them from the beginning! Every time I went there, they have something to surprise me! Love their chikens, they know what they are doing! So delicious. They use high quality spices you can feel in your bite 😋Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Jerk Chicken with Rice and Cabbage, Curry Chicken with Rice and Cabbage, Yassa Chicken …More

American Lover: Brilliant with tasty delicious dishes. Must try, they do magic with flavors.
Tanner Ridings: The jerk chicken with red bean rice was life changing. I may be dramatic but it was incredible. Excellent food, good amount of food for the price, and the staff is very friendly. I’ll be back!
Brian Burmeister: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
James Morris: My wife had the oxtails and I had the curry chicken. We will DEFINITELY be back. I'm bad about remembering to bring leftovers to work... you bet I remembered to grab this out of the fridge in the morning!
Josephine Tsang: the yassa chicken tho
KLL: On Monday Nov 21, 2022 around 2:15, 2:30 I arrived at this place. I was so excited to find some jerk chicken and cabbage. Unfortunately I didnt get to try the food. The girl there was sooooo mean, rude, and very unprofessional. I must say that had to be tge worst customer service I ever experienced. No hello, nothing, no one was in line. She looked at me and said wait and never took my order. SHE SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO HAVE SUCH A BAD DISPOSITION. ITS ACTUALLY PRETTY PATHETIC. I WONT RETURN.
W. Robert: Flavors were excellent, no denying that, BUT, there were dozens of chicken bone shards throughout our dishes and multiple pieces of chicken still had feathers on them, so we were unable to actually eat our meals. I'm sure some folks enjoy the extra challenge, but that was the most painful and nearly tooth-cracking meal we have ever had. I talked with the young woman at the counter and she was "politely" dismissive about my concerns without resolving the issue. See photos of bones meticulously picked out of rice and sauce and some of the chicken feathers. We spent more time avoiding bones than eating, and threw away most of our meals. A refund or offer to remake on a future date after making a new batch with better quality control was all I was asking for, but that didn't happen. Also, there were no dividers in the styrofoam container, so all the cabbage, chicken, sauce, and beans & rice blended together into one mess. While still good flavors mixed up, it would have been nice to actually try the individual components separately.0 stars for quality/safety/enjoyability of food, slopping food together, and refusal to resolve the problem.
Lauren Bowers: Lots of food & decently priced! Is has the chicken sampler which was $17. It came with Yassa chicken (lemon pepper & Dijon flavors), curry chicken, jerk chicken, cabbage, and rice. It was good & I’ll definitely be back.Vegetarian options: They had vegetarian samosas

The Ann: The food makes me happy 😊, we are originally southerners, and finding decent southern cooking 🍳 has been challenging. Originally ordered fried green tomatoes, and they were delicious. Our child ordered the Big Easy with shrimp 🍤 and devoured it before my husband and I could finish our orders of Minage a Trois. Nicely seasoned, great sauces, a wonderful filling meal. Staff was also cheerful 😊 and helpful. All in all, it is a great place to stop and eat.
Hayden Bland: Main dishes are really appetizers. Fries with a topping for $18.00. 2 lemonade drinks $12.00. Not real Creole food, more like food court food so don't go by pics on Google Maps.Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Seth Matteson: Found this hidden gem on a “quick” trip to the foundry before heading out to get groceries. We had the shrimp po’ boy, a big easy, and bread pudding. Not only were we amazing at how amazing and fresh everything tasted, but this little jewel in the middle of the foundry is one of the best places we’ve had to eat in St. Louis. Ever. It’s also worth mentioning that the staff were all very kind and energetic! Amazing find!
Ramone Hamilton: Food was amazing they even scrapped together the last of a dish they were out of to satisfy my needs would definitely recommend 10 out of 10
Elisa Hancock: The food, the seasoning, and the BREAD PUDDING 😩 My husband and I had the menage a trios. So delicious! Perfectly prepared. We shared, and both got full. Now, back to the bread pudding. I have been looking for good bread pudding for 10+ years. It is prepared with candied pecans, which some are very hard, so beware. Regardless, I ordered a second helping to take home. You have to try it!
Duncan Lewis: Wonderful food and friendly staff. I do recommend.
Hailey Blanner: Absolutely delicious food and wonderful service. Definitely will be back!
Michele: I had an awesome experience "P S". He detailed many options available which made it hard to choose! I really wanted the fried green tomatoes but decided on the Big Easy. Wonderful choice! I chose the Andouille Sausage on top. This was a great share with my group. "PS" was very helpful, kind, and fun to talk to. I look forward to visiting again because of he and his insightful suggestion!!Kid-friendliness: I saw many children enjoying the venueParking: Parking was conventional with outside and garage access and also a Valet choice.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access into the forum for a range of multiple handicapped experiences.
Aditi Patel: A slay 100/100 food. Perfect bite with the cheese, sauce, fries, and crawfish. We ordered the Big easy with Arnold Palmer.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes The Big Easy …More
Kenton Coonts: I ordered online from here on Easter Sunday; their Easter hours were not updated and so when they were closed it allowed me to still place an order through toast. When I arrived to picrestaurant was closed. I was not upset about this because this was mostly my fault for not confirming they were open, but there was also no phone number for me to call and check.I paid for my food and toast said it was ready, so I went to pick it up. I left and emailed them about what happened. I was not unreasonable in the email I sent, I simply asked for a refund, and I could not go there in person since I was only visiting St. Louis. They responded back about 3 weeks ago, I have sent multiple emails since but have not heard back. I have reached out on Instagram and email.I understand mistakes happen; my family owned restaurants growing up, I have worked in the food industry for nearly 5 years of my life, sometimes random things happen that are nobodies fault… that being said, disregarding customers and creating negative word of mouth is very unprofessional. I feel if I would have been reaching out for any other reason other than needing my money back and asking them to correct this, I would’ve gotten responses already. The food looks amazing. I love the menu. It seems like a good place, and I hate that I’m having to leave this review; I would like to take it down once my issue has been resolved, but I feel like this is the only option I have left since I’m unable to communicate with any staff or management. I’m very frustrated with the situation and hope it gets taken care of so I can take this review down.
Matthew Nanes: So good. Po boy is just right, and they have the first decent grits I’ve found in St Louis. They can be a little disorganized at times and are occasionally out of random ingredients, but it’s still worth it because the food is so good.
carmen smith: Parking: This place was highly recommended by people on instagram and Facebook so I tired it today . We bought the fried green tomatoes and that ahit was horrible! I took it back and she re cooked them a bit harder, but it was still Horrible! 9.06 for 4 tomatoes and it's not homemade they only cook homemade green fried tomatoes at the other location on pine.will never go there again I really wish I could post these slimey tomatoes
Kanis Grady: I was not able to order due to the fact that the kitchen was backed up every 20mins and barely any orders were placed.. I was waiting the initial 15mins they estimated, got back in line in 20-25mins and they closed orders again.. Chaperones need to be present when kids are on shift in order for operations to run smoothly..
Mike Slade: Amazing hiding Gem food was amazing 👏Dietary restrictions accommodated Not sure …More
Tyeisha D Lewis: Very fresh . Also very very slow

Danielle L: The cook and wait staff are extremely overwhelmed in operating this restaurant. To the point that I wonder why they opted to run it as a full-service place instead of just offering counter service.A friend and I came on Mother's Day, as we both had recently lost our moms and wanted to try and make the best of the day. I had called ahead earlier in the week to make a reservation and was told they don't take reservations for parties smaller than five. I show up on Sunday and was pretty much told that the wait was 45 minutes and that I should have called ahead and made a reservation. 😑We both decide to wait, but as we waited, it was clear we wouldn't be eating for at least two more hours. We heard as servers went to other tables and explained that there was at least a half hour delay in the kitchen. Not good. We decided to just pay for it drinks and head someplace else.Maybe they were overwhelmed by how busy Mother's Day can be, but there are ways to manage that. Like encouraging reservations, limiting the day's menu, offering carry-out. There are too many other quality restaurants in St. Louis for me to deal with the chaos of this place, so I'll have to pass.

DeAnna King: I want to give this place more stars because the food was good, but the service & attitudes of staff was enough to probably not come back.Came in with a friend around 6:50p and were told that it was about a 40 min wait. We agreed to wait, but he didn't ask for any info, name, number, etc.. I came back and asked if we could just sit at the bar, but he said it would still be about 40 min till we could eat due to the kitchen being busy. So another guy asks for my name & number and tells us that the table would be ready by 7:30pm, but he'd call me. We walked to kill time & when I looked at my watch it was already after 8pm and no phone call. We decided to head back to check in, because at that point we were hungry. The staff just looked at us like we had 3 heads. A girl told us to just find an empty table. We sit at a dirty table, and someone mentions that he needed to wipe it clean.. He never came back. We sat there for a good 5 min before I got up and found menus for us. Few min later, the waitress approaches the table looking extremely unhappy, to the point I asked her if everything was okay. She replied No & that she pretty much was over the night and didn't want to be there. We hesitantly laughed it off, ordered, ate, and left. The fact that the restaurant automatically charges 15% gratuity says something, because leaving a tip after all of that was questionable -- and I'm a pretty good tipper, despite bad service. The food was good, but after that whole ordeal, not worth it to come back.
Joy Marbley: Today is Mother's and went to this restaurant for the first time. My family and I sat at the bar like listening to the Temptations song over and over again which was fine, but when it came to the service it stinks. We asked how long would it be for them to take our orders, gentleman and young replied an half hour so we said we would wait. So we asked for drinks. So other people started arriving and in disbelief the lady worker had taken a mans order that walked into the place not even 10mins and we had been waiting for 30 mins or more. I looked at this young lady again in disbelief, looking straight eye to eye at her hoping she would acknowledge that we are still waiting and that she would eventually say she apologize and be willing to take our oder. No such thing happen, we asked to pay for the two drinks and then left there restaurant hungry and very unhappy. Very unprofessional no apology no nothing, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant anyone.
Darian J: Won’t be coming back to this place again. The customer service was atrocious. My family and I were never served and to top things off we waited patiently while waiters took people who just walked in orders, neglecting us and no apology. There’s no system for first come, first serve. On a busy day, avoid this place at all cost. Thinking about opening a business right next to them and show em how a real business operates.

Ronzhanae Walters: I’ve been reading the reviews before I made mine and realized that whoever is responding to the reviews can’t take true criticism. I don’t think anyone wants to give a restaurant 1-2 stars. Anyways, went for a graduation dinner, had to make reservations. It took 30-45 minutes for us to get drinks. After that, it took 2-3 hrs for people to get their food. Sides of vegetables were coming out and people were already done with their food. I think Gordon Ramsey woulda shut it down for sure. You don’t have people waiting 2-3 hrs for food and the prices so high. Plus they slap an extra 15% gratuity. It was so many nice people pleasantly waiting for food and should’ve gotten it for a discount or free because that’s ridiculous. I spent most of my Saturday evening. 6-9pm.. and got my food at 8:40pm
isabella douglas: I came here with my family for a celebration, and ALL the food was amazing! Also had excellent service and we are definitely coming back again I had their special of the day, which were chicken tacos, served with their special Cajun sauce, and it was instantly a new favorite of mine. Thank you all so much for a wonderful experience!

Claire Stone: So wonderful! Saturday was our second visit and we have decided that this is in our top 3 favorite St. Louis restaurants. We do not live close, but discovered this place for the first time a couple of months ago when we were looking for a place to eat before a show downtown. My husband and I try a new restaurant each time we have a show or event in the area. We had a great experience that first time, so we decided to return to sample more of the menu. Crab empanadas were out of this world...hummus was the most unique I have ever had. Our goal is to try everything on the menu. Thanks again!
Gina Squires: Bartender was very attentive. We had a Saturday evening dinner reservation. When we arrived the restaurant was virtually empty so we had the pick of tables. Our server was pleasant. Food came out of the kitchen one meal at a time unfortunately so 3 of us were finished with our meal before the 4th meal was served. Soups came out last, and was lukewarm. I have eaten here before, but will most likely not return. Overall , our experience was a disappointment.
Katherine Colombo: Great food, fun atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Highly recommend for a date night or fun night out with friends!
J. R. Boedeker: I have always wanted to love this place. Three of my favorite food styles are Cuban, Creole, and Caribbean. This place should be a match made in heaven. It's really good, but... hmm, how to say it? It's close but just not quite there. I respect the upgraded, modernized variations on some classics, I really do.I'll just say this. The most important ingredient in a gumbo is the roux. That's all.I like their food a lot. I just don't love it as much as I want to.Parking: Park in back or across the street.

Nomes: Came here for some dinner and drinksThey have some cocktails on their paper menu, but they have a more expansive cocktail menu online. I wish they would (maybe they do?) publish the larger menu. The tiramisu martini was incredible. We mainly had appetizers, the coconut rundown sauce was quite delicious though I personally don’t like wings.Crab empanadas I must say, the black bean purée though good by itself, took away from the subtle flavor of the empanada. And a quick note on decor, loved the vibe! The bar seats are whimsical

Everything about it was perfect: the bread (imported from a bakery in Florida), the mojo pork, the right balance of pickle and mustard. The staff is very friendly and the space is clean and bright. My original sandwich got dropped on the floor. But looking back, I'd eat it off the floor it was so good!We saw lots of others getting the entree plates and the portions are generous.

My Marie Restaurant: what do users think?
Joel Trimble: After traveling from south Florida and looking for food with a caribbean flavor, My Marie was way above and beyond excellent! Our seven family members enjoyed every bite until we could not finish it all. Thank you Marie for the perfect meal served with smiles!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Joel T: Me zanmi!! Manman, manje a telemen bon. Hi Im Joel Trimble Jr, I go by TiDjo in haitian kreyol. I came here to eat and I was so surprised to find the best tasting haitian caribbean food west of the Mississippi river. Im telling you it is number 1!!! The family that owns this, Marie the chef/owner and her sister Beatrice are so friendly. Every single dish I tasted was a 10/10. The jerk chicken was excellent as well alongside the oxtail. Wow! Bon bagay!!!
Rone Simao: The oxtail is out of this world!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Evrth Angel: So far, the best Caribbean food in St. Louis.. and I know good food! Customer service has been good from my experiences.. the fish tacos are outstanding 🔥 🏾UPDATE: just tried the Rasta Pasta… WOW 🤤DeliciousRecommended dishes Red Beans and Rice, Mac & Cheese …More
Kate B: Get the seafood gumbo!!!I also enjoyed a side of Delicious fried ripe plantains (aka maduros in Spanish speaking countries). Both were soooo good. The complexity of flavor was breathtaking, I was not expecting so much seafood but also chicken and sausage. There really is no way to describe it outside of you just going there to get a bowl.Plantains were perfect, large cut and fried so they were the perfect consistency inside, melt in your mouth, but not at all oily. The attention to detail at this restaurant is much appreciated by me, I know it's been hard on restaurants with the pandemic and I've been having some disappointing interactions with restaurants lately, My Marie will be a go to from now on!
Amanda Biviens: This place was a surprise. One of the locals recommended it to us, and they didn't disappoint. Staff was amazing, and the food was top-notch. Normally, places like this scoop all of your food or of prepared pans, not here. Prepare to wait a bit as they cook your food. It's worth the wait.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Mashed Potatoes …More
Destroy All Lines: The owner is rude. The food sucked. Don’t waste your time.
joshua Speakman: The food was amazing. Ive eaten here on more than one occassion and HIGHLY reccomend it. Staff was friendly, food was hot and fresh, as well as quick. The fish tacos were on point. The jerk chicken is second to none.Kid-friendliness: Staff was amazing friendly to the kiddos.Parking: Parking was not an issue at all. Park along the road just like the rest of the area businesses

K: Small Haitian restaurant on Cherokee St in the former home of Tower Taco. Ambience is very casual, the food is good and the staff are friendly.Recommend!
Paul Headland: I love Caribbean food and this place hits the spot for me. I’ve taken friends and family there with me and they in turn have gone with their friends because they’ve all been similarly impressed. My only problem with the restaurant is that the Curry Goat is so nice I find it hard to order anything else!
NOTES GO: This has to be some of the best food in the city. I have looked all over Stl for good Caribbean food. They got it. Everything was hot. Everything was fresh. And everything taste good🔥
Bailey Nelson: This place was amazing!!the food was so goodFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Mac and Cheese, Chicken Wings, Mac & Cheese, Wings …More
Royal 1s: Friendly staff and clean dining space. Enjoyed the flour fish tacos and bean soup w/white rice. The Rasta Pasta was neither creamy nor flavorful (pasta was overcooked shreds that meshed together) and the jerk chicken atop was hard, dry or old….take your pick. I had high hopes that my dessert would make up for the pasta, but the bread pudding was a disappointment 😭 as well.
yuno g: 🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹Sak Pase!! So happy to have a Haitian Restaurant in StL! My husband is Haitian so it’s cool being able to have haitian food without having to cook. We’ve been here about 4 times and we love My Marie!! We went yesterday and got the Haitian Pate (patties) beef & chicken with 3 sides of pikliz 😂 (spicy slaw) with Haitian Lemonade!!! Omg my mouth is watering as I type! The pate were nice and hot, wonderfully flavored and the pikliz was on point as usual with a nice spice. Don’t get me started on the refreshing lemonade! Thank you My Marie..be back soon 🏽
Monica Potpourri: First time here, and this was some of the best Caribbean food. Reasonable prices, great potion size, super flavorful. Jerk Sauce is amazing. Rarely find a restaurant that serves baked Mac & Cheese. Everything we ate was just absolutely delicious. Service was great. Super cute, cozy atmosphere. Menu had a good variety of options. I'm coming back here for my Birthday dinner next month.
Tone Oh: I like the vibe of this place, kinda small but nice. Food was decent didn’t seem the freshest but the potatoes were fye & the chicken was good a luh spicy. Cost like 40$ for 2 ppl
Venie Holdegraver: I’ve been waiting for a Haitian restaurant to come to STL and now one is here and it was absolutely delicious!! Everything I wanted and more! Can’t wait to come back and bring my friends!!
