Ed G: Visit STL and stopped by this place for a lunch. The restaurant is well designed and has a good vibe. The food is quite typical for a gastropub and was well executed. The drinks were quite creative and they have a good selection of cocktails, wines, and beers. The service was friendly. Overall, definitely worth a stop while in the area.
Sara Scott: First off the food was amazing! I got the farmhouse burger, and shared the maccoroni and cheese and the parmesan fries. I was very sad and surprised to find out they stopped serving fries with their burgers. $14 for a burger does seem steep. But still the food was sooo good!
David Mack: Great drinks and snacks at happy hour!Parking: Easy to park on Laclede, make sure you back in to the spot so you don't get a ticket. There is also metered parking on Sarah, make sure to pay the meter so you don't get a ticket.

Natalie Schmidt: We drove far to come to this restaurant specifically on 3/5 around 6:30pm and were told they wouldn’t seat us. There was open availability on their online system, but we were still refused service hours before they were supposed to close. We are so disappointed at the lack of service or customer service.
Kate Brockmeyer: This was the second time we have visited. The first time we came away very impressed and I would have given five stars for the food experience. But this time we feltthe fries were cooked a touch too long and they lacked flavor. The burger and brussel sprouts were excellent though. We satatthe bar and service wastop notch. Our drinks were original, tasty and of high quality. Be sure to set a reservation before arriving. We didn't know that was a requirement due to limited seating. Luckily, there were two spots at the bar and they offer full service. One thing I do have to say, is it's very expensive. After tip, it was $100. And we each only had one drink a piece.
jessi wink: My one complaint is the noise - could barely hear my friends - But the food was great and nothiong else was an issue. Salmon was great! add some Kettle One to your menue and itll be perfect!
Tiffani Coleman: Everything we had was great! The farmhouse burger, Brussel sprouts and the salmon. Very busy on a Sunday night. Fun atmosphere and friendly service.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Oaxaca Flocka Flame …More

The waitress was super knowledgeable about the drink menu, which ensured I ended up with two drinks I really liked. I will definitely add this spot to my happy hour rotation!Vegetarian options: Lots of great vegetarian options on the happy hour menu!

Monica Green: I took my 11-year-old granddaughter to Wicked at the Fox and decided to try a new restaurant experience before the show. We were delighted with the Scottish Arms. We had a reservation for 6 p.m., and we were able to eat our meal, have dessert and leave by 7 p.m. to get to the theater - only 5 minutes away. The service was impeccable. The food was crazy good. And the location is great for pre-theater. We ate inside, but the patio looked very inviting. We started with the pesto flatbread, which was delicious! The steak was absolutely perfect and the fries were great. To end the meal with the Blueberry Fool was heavenly. My granddaughter claims it was the best restaurant she's ever been to. We definitely will go back to share this experience with more family when we don't have to rush ourselves.Parking: We went at 6 p.m. and had no problem securing a metered parking spot right outside the restaurant. ($2 ) It might be more difficult later in the evening.

The Crow's Nest: what do users think?
Cody Cummings: The Crow’s Nest is an excellent place to grab drinks, but the food, wow!!! This is the definition of hidden treasure. If metal isn’t your genre, don’t let that deter you from coming in. Their vegetarian options are top notch, and their portobello Rueben is the best I’ve ever had. The Brussels sprouts are stupid good, with a spicy sweet flavor. If vegetarian isn’t your thing, the burgers a solid choice. I’m planning on going back for the fish & chips.
Robert Herman: Atmosphere is nice. Food is terrible. And super overpricedFood: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ryan Quinlan (BoyTRQ): Very much yes. Go to here.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Fries, Chicken and Waffles, Deep Fried Deviled Eggs, Pulled Pork Monte Cristo, Toast, Cheeseburger, Sandwich, Fish and Chips, Grilled Cheese, Biscuits and Gravy, Burger, Chili Cheese Fries, Stuffed French Toast, Slinger, Pork Poutine, Fried Pickles, Caesar Salad, Vegan Burger, Bowl of Slop, Chili Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
Ally Lamkie: I suppose I would’ve liked it more if it hadn’t been so overly hyped. We did end up going there for brunch, so I don’t know if that made a difference, but I just don’t enjoy loud metal music with my brunch (or ever tbh). The decor was tacky as hell, and Heathers was playing on the big screen, which seemed weird. I get what they are going for, it’s just not my thing at all.The food was good— I got the slinger— but nothing special, and certainly not for $17. I will say our service was excellent though. Nice selection of vegan items as well.
Derek Theisen: Crows nest is perfect. Great food, great atmosphere, and Stag. Being from Wisconsin I crave cheese curds and Crow's Nest's really taste like home.Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options and ways to sub for vegetarian proteins
A M: I highly recommend the stuffed French toast. I got fries with it which was a weird combination but it worked.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Derek Voges: Great atmosphere out on the back deck, just watch for smokers if that's not your thing. The food was a little more expensive than we would normally like for a weekday lunch but it was amazing. The burgers are perfectly seasoned and cooked, all the sauces are amazing, and portion sizes were good! Will need to come back and try more off the menu. Would make this a weekly spot if it were a bit cheaper, but you get what you pay for and the food is worth it.
xo: food, drinks, atmosphere, staff- always amazing, in the years i’ve been coming i have never had an unpleasant experience here.
BESTOFYOU17: A staple for brunch in Maplewood. There's a large parking lot behind the restaurant, I suggest parking there and going straight to the patio. They have a large covered deck that is shaded. A big part of the deck is for hanging out without dining tables, but don't worry if you have to sit inside. Inside the restaurant has the Metal Brunch atmosphere, complete with metal music and fun movies on the television. We were meeting friends and lucky enough to grab a patio table on this beautiful morning. The menu is great and the food doesn't disappoint. The creme brulee stuffed French Toast was so good and definitely get the breakfast potatoes! Our son said the Breakfast Burger was amazing, and he also enjoyed the Waffle Fries. My husband opted for the Slinger, his go-to for Brunch, and he ate every last bite. I was eyeing the chicken and waffles. I'll definitely be trying that next time.
shayna preston: So ive been here twice, around easter. The first time i went and picked my food up it was really good. You get two pieces of fish, fresh salad greens, waffle fries and an artichoke tartar sauce. I was really skeptical of the tartar sauce but it was surprisingly very good! The waffle fries were perfect, not hard and crunchy, not under cooked but just right. The fish is wide and thin out at the end, cooked perfectly, crispy and soft and not dry. The second time I had it it was just ok for me me,the fish was slightly over done at the end where its thinner,it can happen and the fries were slightly over cooked, crunchy. I love fries and i dont like waffle fries over cooked. THEY DO NOT DO THIRD PARTY DELIVERIES,YOU HAVE TO CALL YHE RESTAURANT AND OR GO IN TO THE LOCATION AND ORDER YOUR FOOD. I LIVE CLOSE SO NO BIGGIE! THE ISSUE I HAVE IS THAT THEY CHARGE A 15% GRATUITY FOR YOU TO DRIVE TO THEIR RESTAURANT AND PICK YOUR OWN FOOD UP,15%. THIS MAKES NO SENSE TO ME AT ALL. ALL RESTAURANTS DO TAKE OUT/To Go FOOD AND YOU ARENT CHARGED EXTRA FOR THAT. IM FROM THIS INDUSTRY AS A CHEF AND THIS TO ME IS RIDICULOUS!
Janet Mm: Ate out on the deck. Very warm out there. Service was great...food not so much! Everything was cold by the time we were served.
Mark Zeman: Cool metal-themed decor makes this a fun bar/restaurant. They have a metal brunch on Sundays. The back patio offers a cool breeze on warm days, and you can spend upward of a half hour looking through all the curious bar-moribilia. Small kitchen but the fare is pretty good. Draws a cool urban crowd. Go for the food but stay for the Maplewood ambiance.
Kelsey Hawkins: Lots of vegan/ vegetarian optionsFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ali House: Oh my freak the food here. Just #doit#damnFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jamie Mezei: Met a colleague here for lunch. Have been here one other time, but the food tastes great! The service outside on the patio today was a little bit slow, but I'd say the food comes out quickly. Both times I've been here have been during the day so it's not as busy, just for context. I highly recommend sitting on the patio if it's a nice day, especially because it is covered. I've gotten the Karen salad, and the turkey club and recommend both. Seating is seat yourself if there's tables available. I would definitely recommend this place to try if you haven't been here before.
Henry Luepke: My dog digs this bar

Katie Ineich: The atmosphere here is like a slightly elevated dive with a great patio. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced, along with a great beer and liquor selection. The staff are usually friendly and helpful. There are some trivia and bingo events I've been wanting to check out, and it's a popular spot for watching Blues and Cardinals games. Watching the games there is fun, but it can get quite loud and crowded, since it's close quarters.

Elizabeth Loudon: I had left a 5 star review because I had a great time with trivia in January during my first visit. Then changed that review because I had a really bad experience the other night where our table was nearly ignored.Management reached out here, and is determined to make it right. That's excellent service. I do think the food and events here can be super delicious and fun. Facebook shows the events including trivia, bingo, sports watching, etc.Enjoyed the blackened mahi sandwich and the corn flake chicken fingers on my first visit. The new patio is a nice spot for the increasingly nice weather. The beer selection is vast. Happy hour appears to be good.Everywhere can struggle when implementing something new. I'm willing to give the place another shot asap. I expect things will be figured out.

Michael Brammeier: Meal was less than appetizing. Fries were soggy. Both orders came out the same and 1 was ordered crispy. The boneless chicken had some horrid taste to it, even though the sauce was good. Chicken fingers were over cooked and dry. The smash burger was cooked excellent.During communication with the staff, they never asked or offered more to drink. Finally talked to, who I think was the manager. He said I will comp the meal, but the check came back for 19 something. I left a 20 and very reluctant to go back.I really liked the place the last few times I was there and would never have expected this problem. I was really looking forward to trying out the patio there this summer.

Elizabeth V.: Our absolute favorite in St. Louis! The food is so good, and consistent. We know we can have a great meal every time we go. The best part is the service from Genesis! Our server was excellent, handled our large party’s few special requests with ease, was very attentive, laid back, funny, professional and didn’t miss a thing! Will definitely come back when we are in STL !
Lucas Shaffer: Food was great. Services was great atmosphere was great. Prices were OK. Great location. My daughter randomly picked this place because it had turtles in the name. Lol not from st Louis so we decided to try it. Didn't have a reservation so they sat us at the bar. It was a great time.

L Wesche (Foodie): Genesis was our server and she made us feel very welcome! She shared menu information about customer favorites and dish ingredients. We really enjoyed being at one of her tables. The menu has a lot of variety. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The burgers looked amazing and tasted the same. Portions were generous. Looking forward to going back.
Wayne Moran: We've been here several times, and never had a bad experience, whether it be for brunch or dinner. Super awesome staff, and most importantly, they're fun. The food is spectacular. Tried the brisket dip tonight, and it's awesome. We also had the Tiger Rolls, and they're really good, too. My wife loved the fish and chips. Definitely a great place!

Loved the presentation & cocktail. Tiger rolls & Calamari for apps. If that was all we had eaten, we would have been satisfied. Those Tiger Rolls have been calling to me ever since. That sauce! That pork chop & bacon brussels....Thick, juicy & flavorful. My husband have the pork chop with the polenta. He, too, was not disappointed.Topped it off with a scoop of Serendipity vanilla bean ice cream! Yum, yum.Our server was attentive. Our food was served piping hot.

Bree Rio: The food here was phenomenal. I ordered the best burger I’ve had in a very, very long time. It was literal perfection. The drinks were on point. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since Covid restrictions were lifted. Which didn’t seem to match the rest of the establishment.

Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar: what do users think?
Alan Valensky: Seemed like a great spot. Service was friendly and fast. I ordered a Manhattan and still have no idea what drink I was actually made. Not 100% sure there was bourbon in it. But, it's a wine bar so I ordered a glass of Pinot and it was delicious. I ordered the special which was lamb chops. They came out totally untrimmed with all of the fat still on them making them virtually inedible. The parts that were edible were limp and under cooked. No hard sear, no crispy bits which is the whole point of lamb chops. Just fat and undercooked meat. The blackened cauliflower side was delicious. Sadly underwhelmed and $75 later, I'm at another establishment having a real Manhattan and some food so I don't go to bed hungry.
Jess Watson: Amazing service (thanks Terrell). Amazing food. GreatBeer on draft and wine selection. Charcuterie options and build your own board. Pricier but the type of pricier that’s worth it and NOT a disappointing ripoffFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Cheese Platter, Mac and Cheese Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Paid street parking …More
Hannah Lonsdale: Came for the charcuterie but balked at $11-13 per item. However, most of the food we tried instead (tomato bisque, chorizo, duck salad) was delicious.I was excited to see a niçoise salad on the menu, if surprised that the fish was salmon rather than tuna. The salmon was a little dry but flavorful and could have been forgiven if the olive dressing hadn't drowned out everything with its overpowering flavor. Embarrassingly bad and unbefitting of an otherwise excellent establishment.Final minor point- it was a quiet night and the bartender cleared away my beers before I'd had a chance to finish and savour the final sip. Stop that please, there's no rush!
Jim Wallace: Excellent little wine bar. Beer too. Recommended.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Lauren Faucher: Nice venue with good food and a nice selection of drinks.
Aaron Mich: Nice establishment with really good food! The service was slow and they forgot my drinks on a few occasions. The light was too dim to read the menu very well and was a bit noisy. They also add on your entree side to the bill and it's not included in the original cost. Overall decent place with a little bit overpriced food.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Cody Cummings: We recently stopped in to Bridge, and it was a great experience. They have one of the best draft selections in all of downtown. Their mix of beers range in types, ABV and locality. You can order 4oz glasses if you’re into trying several. Their wine selection is also pretty varied, and we enjoyed everything we tried. If you’re hungry make sure to try one of the starters. I recommend the mushroom pâté if they’re currently serving it. Their other entrée dishes have a great blend of flavors. Many of the dishes leveraged flavorful proteins like duck sausage or braised pork belly with savory root veggies and herbs. The ambiance has a refined but rustic feel, and the intimate lighting makes it great for dates or just relaxing with a drink. The bartenders are really friendly and we’re a pleasure to talk to. Prices vary drink-to-drink, but they’re pretty reasonable for downtown.I highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t, and we plan to make them a pretty regular stop.
Kevin Chou: Very attentive service, and friendly ambience of the restaurant. Nicely curated listing of beers, definitely try a flight for the experience. Food is tasty and inventive. Well worth a visit.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Andy and Rebecca Tait: We had a great experience with T serving us. Very good and fast service, despite possibly being undermanned. We loved the tenderloin, grilled cheese, scallops and the beers. Glad we went here while visiting STL!
Jenn Anderson: Outstanding service!!! Our server-- and the host-- were so attentive and personable. And the server was so handsome!! 🤩The best stout beer I've ever had! I got the peanut butter one. Just incredible... so smooth and flavourful. The picture I posted is of a charcuterie board I shared with friends. Everything on it was excellent. The fig jam was particularly tasty.
Paul Abert: Very cool venue and great food!
Jacob Blandford: Great spot for dinner and drinks. They have an extensive selection of wine, beer, and spirits the menu is small but they make up for it with quality and delicious selections. The trout was phenomenal. The duck sausage was great. The French onion soup has exceptional flavor. And you definitely need to get a charcuterie board. Amazing summer sausage and local honey.
Steve Landstreet: Fantastic beer list, delicious food, super friendly staff!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Megan Levonyak: Plenty of tasty GF options. Love the cozy environment!
Eric S: Outstanding food! Tacos were amazing, salads and charcuterie boards were yummy, great beer selection. Wonderful service by T! Only complaint would be the interior is SO DARK. I'm never a fan of having to use my phone flashlight to read the menu. Also insanely loud, there's a super low ceiling upstairs in the dining area, and the music plus other diners made conversation just at our table of 4 difficult. Still worth it overall, will be back!
maureen carson: Wine bar? Didn’t have the one Sauvignon blanc by the glass and no rose options. Didn’t care to help me find anything I’d like including the 5 bottle options. Food was blah. Service was slow. Never returning.

Basso: what do users think?
ryan mitchell: Went to Basso after visiting the disappointing Fox and Hound (the once nice chess sets are now a disaster)Regean and Michael provided great service at Basso. Quick service and a clean chill atmosphere.
Heather Lauby: Absolutely Spectacular experience again! Loved the Happy Hour Menu and the Siouxie cocktail. Took my brother for his first time there and he was blown away by the decor and delicious food. Julie was the BEST and walked him through the menu and explained everything perfectly! We were celebrating a special occasion and I’m so glad we went to Basso. Thank you for the perfect dinner!
Jane Michael: Slow service, snooty staff, food was not the best but not the worst, had to fan myself with a newspaper the whole time I was eating my overpriced meal. It was unbelievably hot. Lighting was terrible. Probably so you can't see fragments of unwanted particles in the food. Manager said his name was Matt or Mike or something like that. He was nice to the Caucasian customers but treated myself like I was less than human. They didn't even have any workers of color there. Only two who were working the front door but none on the actual floor waiting on the tables making the real money. Seemed like a racist Italian resteraunt.
John C: Tasty pizzas, attentive staff, elegant atmosphere without pretension, carefully crafted plates and cocktails. Delicious happy hour food specials.
althea honan: I love basso!! It would be five star, but since they have changed the burgers bun to this new kind, it has to be four stars. please go back to the original bun...or at least not this kind!! I still love basso tho
Alicia Fairall: Great atmosphere for a fancy date night, firelit dining with a beautiful bar area. On the high end but worth the price. Shout out to Alec for being a great waiter and helping me navigate the menu with my dairy allergy, will be back.
Dave Cruise: A hidden gem, great food, friendly service. In the basement of the Cheshire Hotel

Trisha Marie: We walked into this place thinking it looked really nice. Very cool decor, then the hostesses approached us. They looked at us weird, I'm assuming, because we had our little kids with us. They told us we could sit on a sofa and eat. Really?? A sofa to eat with two small children? Wow. Then they told us a 45-minute wait. We sat down to wait and only had to wait about 15 minutes, and they had a table for us. We sat. I looked over the menu, and it was super small. No chicken or poultry of any kind. Only red meats. Pretty messed up. Definitely nothing for kids. We ended up leaving and eating elsewhere. So if you have kids, don't eat pork or red meat, and don't like snobby teenager hostesses, don't go here.
Jessica Wiley: I'm late as hell with this review, but our experience was sooo memorable I remember it as if it happened yesterday!! Another win for the hubby cuz we pulled up as soon as the doors opened (and reservations are recommended frfr)... trying new food is a so rewarding for me and even more enjoyable when the ambiance, customer service and food is a five star experience from the time I arrive to the time I leave!! Jumping right to it, our server helped us navigate the menu of twisted American-Italian delights cuz we were lost lolbvs. Hubby opted for a Lemon Drop with crispy meatballs & Brussel sprouts, while you know I ordered my Whiskey Mule and ate the Basso Burger that came with truffle fries 🤤-P.S, for your birthday, a free dessert is available so they lemme try a peanut butter and jelly treat, but it was too rich so I stuck with the Tiramisu (no disappointment ALL ALL)...this is a great place for groups and even date night & you bet I'm goin back!!
jennifer manolis: Too dark, noisy and food ok.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
