Courtney G: Food is pretty good, but portions are on the smaller side. There is a sign out front that says “now hiring team members with an aloha spirit” or something along those lines. Clearly, they have yet to find that because the lady taking my order was so rude and kept sighing when I asked a couple of questions. I should state there was literally nobody else in there but me. When she brought me my food, I asked where the silverware was and she said “it’s inside” and walked away. I told her it was my first time there and she just seemed miserable. Ruined the whole experience.

Nick: Great food I'm glad I found out about this place it's been years ago when I lived in orange county California since I had hawaiian cuisine. Staff was very friendly macaroni salad, chicken katsu the pig sandwich was all excellent and the hawaiian sun drinks are a great beverage as well. We will be back soon

Nicholas Hibbeler: Everything I've had here tastes amazing and has something unique about it. The Chicken Yakitori had a delicious, crisp breading with a sweet/savory glaze. I'm not normally a fan of macaroni salad, but the side that comes with the chicken was incredible, as was the rice. Their pork sandwich on a Hawaiian roll had this great pineapple slaw and light bbq sauce. Definitely visit this place if you enjoy eating delicious food.

The portions are a bit small and still standard food truck sizes but have not been adjusted to what one may expect from a brick and mortar restaurant. If you are charging $13-$15 for a single dinner entree that primarily uses rice as the side then you better make the portions make sense for that. The bowls are probably the best deal here at $10.My household primarily does takeout and we eat at home. The packaging is appropriate and you don't have to worry about leaks.Out of two orders my house has put in one of the orders was wrong. In a recent order we had, I ordered one size of the boiled peanuts (that was $4) and received the $2 order. I attempted to contact the restaurant to get a refund or some sort of recompense and instead was treated to a back and forth conversation with someone arguing about online menu descriptions and semantics. 3 emails (at 6 am on a Saturday morning no less) both directions and I still don't have my $2 back.Looking at some of the owner responses I see some back and forth on reviews in general as well. I would say that they have an issue with criticism and treat these things like debates when it's just some people giving feedback. Best response is adjusting practices (if/when necessary), not having an online argument. Reviews don't always necessitate responses from the owner either.Despite this place being walk able for us and the food actually being good, we just won't go back again. My star rating is based on the customer care experience, portion size, and 50% mistake on our orders; in that order of magnitude.
