Tracy Ladd: Terrible communication from Val. Would think there would be more sensitivity on family’s selling their personal items but did not have that. She did not return text or calls and didn’t find out that our sale was even up and Live until the last day of it and only found out because we looked it up ourselves online. Was under the impression from our first meeting that a list of items would be sent to us to agree upon before going Live but nothing was until it was over and then mailed to us a month later. Not impressed with Val’s rude tone and answer that it was out of her hands when I called to see when we would receive the list of items sold. The staff that organized and photographed and sold the items were extremely thorough and did a wonderful job with the sale and pick up of items. We could see on camera how hard they worked to get things done. Overall the company did a good job with organizing and selling our parents belongings but communication was terrible considering the personal nature of it.

They have $50.00 price tags on old power tools, like jigsaws, routers. Other estate sale companies would have $25.00 maximum for these same items. And I mean on the first day, not on half off day.

The whole table was right next to the register where Louie was sitting. In addition, an employee pushed me out of the way while she was trying to clean some thing up. Very unprofessional.

Travis Keune: The company portrays a professional image with their fancy signs and company name, but don't let that fool you. BUYER BEWARE! I was very excited to go to one of their estate sales, based on the images and listing I found on the sale online. The listing said the sale began at 10am. My wife and I arrived at 10am to find a LONG line of people stretched out from the front porch onto the public sidewalk. We figured they were late opening up, found a spot to park and were in line by 10:15. One hour later, standing in the cold, we finally get to the door as they were drastically limiting the number of occupants and requiring masks, both of which were no longer required in the area, but regardless, these are the times within which we live. However, at no point, online or otherwise, were the customers advised of there being mold in the house, until we had already waited one hour in the cold to find a small, handwritten sign on the front door stating "Mold inside, enter at your own risk." That was frustrating. We get inside and two of the major items we were interested in were nowhere to be found. We were there from the beginning and watching carefully as people left. Neither of these items could have been easily carried out, let alone removed without being noticed. This company clearly makes deals outside of the posted sale hours, but then leaves those items and pictures posted without notice of the items being sold. In addition, one of these items was a large collection of media which I was able to determine was likely worthless due to the mold present, but they still sold the collection, likely sight unseen, and even more likely without making any disclosure of the mold or the condition of the items. Someone who spent $2K on this collection (per Momoderne's own admission) is likely to be very unhappy once they dig into its contents. This is unethical and unprofessional conduct and should make customer's attending these estate sales very cautious in their purchases. Among the few pieces of this collection left over was one title I already owned, but did not have the original box. I made a fair offer for the box as the contents itself was completely useless due to the mold and Momoderne shrugged it off as if it was nothing and said the prices are firm, regardless of the condition. I will never patronize this company in the future based on this one experience. In fact, I drove right past another estate sale today once I realized it was one of theirs. It's just not worth it, regardless of what's inside.

Jenny M: The estate sale of my mom's house went fairly well, and this company dealt well with our grieving family intervening at times and was available quickly which I appreciate.However, I am deducting 2 stars. 1 star for the contract saying they don't take a minimum and them taking one anyways, and 1 other star for their "removal" guys. They left so many odds and ends in the house inside and outside. At least 5 shelves sitting around, a menorah, a dustpan, computers, a telephone, windchimes, a badminton net, a dishwasher filled with dishes, various hardware and supplies in the garage, an that's not even all of it.I was trying to sell my house from far away and this company just made that much more difficult to do. The dumpster also sat there for several weeks before being removed. I had to pay someone a few hundred dollars to pick up all the stuff they left and after they took a minimum out despite what the contract said...my mom didn't make very much money from the estate sale at all.

Chris, Markway: I just moved to the area in the last few months and needed stuff form my house. I have never been a garage sale person but a friend told me about estate sales. Yes, these are like garage sales but have a different feel and it’s not someone’s junk they don’t need. These sales are about people in transition like me and moving on from their belongings. I have done this myself a few times when moving from one place to another.I went a few different Estate sales throughout the St Louis area. These sales were in homes throughout the social economic ladder. For someone like me that is on the lower end of that ladder, it is nice to be able to buy nicer things at Estate sales at great prices. There were times when the people working the sales that were just not engaged with the customers and this was most evident at the lower end sales.Then I came across MoMorderne at a sale in April. This wasn’t a high end house or a lot of high valued items but the people working the sale made it better. I was asked if I need help, had any questions, and doing the same for other customers. That is when I made sure I checked out their sales first.This weekend they really helped me out with a great buy at their sale. Yesterday, I found a rug that would work out great for my living room. One of their employees measure out the rug for me, answered all my questions, and because of that employee I now have an awesome rug. I would not have bought it without his help.Really like this Estate Sale Company and always know that even if they do not have what I want, at least they will treat me right.

Beyond that, most items are extremely fairly priced even on the first day of the sale, which is FAR more than I can say for most other estate sale companies in St Louis.

Jordan Zeitler: If you want to actually SELL your stuff, choose a different company. They price items that are used and beaten for more than you can buy it brand new. The prices are so outrageous. On Sundays, a good company tried to get rid of everything, these people hold firm on their pricing and even lie about what you can buy it for brand new. Example: I found a used mens Christmas suit. It's April! The had $25 on the suit. They also said SOME STUFF was 50% off. Apparently this suit was not one of those items. Then she said the suit sells for $100 on Amazon. I looked it up in front of her and it sells for $39. I offered $10 for this USED CHRISTMAS SUIT in APRIL and she refused. What a waste of time and energy. I stopped at another estate sale, they had a $5 fill a bag sale and they had nothing left. This Abby's Estate sale was still pack full of stuff. And the sale closes in 2 hours. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!
