Mark Brumleve: Delicious food and the menu has a wide variety to suit pretty much anybody. Overall, not a bad price for how high quality the food is. The empanadas and chicken milanese were especially delicious! My only complaint is that we weren't offered paper menus, when we saw everyone around us being given them.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Beef Empanada, Mashed Potatoes Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Free street parking …More
Mary Asher: Date Night Restaurant in St. Louis: @asador_maplewood (on Instagram)Located at 7322 Manchester, Maplewood, MO. There is street parking on Manchester or a parking lot behind the building. If you park behind the building, there is a walk-way between businesses that will bring you right to the front door.Make a reservation for Valentine's Day or for a Monday night dinner out of the house. Asador Del Sur features South American dishes with quality ingredients. It was difficult to make a decision because everything sounded amazing! Here's what we ordered:Drinks:-Caipirinha: Brazil's native cocktail with Cachaca, lime juice, and simple-Apasionado: Passionfruit vodka, passionfruit liqueur, lime, triple sec, simple & yuzu bitters. THIS IS THE PERFECT COCKTAIL FOR A PASSIONFRUIT LOVERAppetizers:-Patacones Rellenos: fried green plantains topped with shrimp-Empanadas: we ordered 1 chicken, 1 cheese, and 1 guava & cheese empanada. Each was served fresh out of the fryer with their own dipping sauces.Entrees:-Entrana (Skirt Steak) with chimichurri sauce. We got the grilled pineapple and maduros (sweet plantains) on the side.-Encocado de Mariscos (Seafood in Coconut Milk) with tostones, shrimp, mahi-mahi, mussels, scallops, and baby squid in a peanut butter coconut milk sauce. THIS IS A MUST ORDER DISH! The sheer quantity of fish in the dish was incredible! I kept finding more and more shrimp and I was eating.

Erin Towey: We had an amazing dinner tonight for our anniversary. Drinks, apps, entrees and dessert were all fabulous. The empanadas (especially the chicken and cheese/guava) were delicious, along with the skirt steak. We will be back!!

Nicole Rundle: Excellent food and outstanding service! We came with our two young children on Christmas Eve and the atmosphere couldn't have been lovelier. The food was wonderful (don't skip the empanadas!) and there was even a kids menu. Excellent variety on the menu, something for everyone!Vegetarian options: Plenty of meatless and pescatarian options available.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu was wonderful with options of chicken or beef milanesa, beef filet, and chicken thighs. It's refreshing to see a restaurant that doesn't just offer the standard kid food. Our kids LOVED the chicken milanesa, but were still picking things off of our plates because everything was excellent!

Rodney Ebrecht: We stopped in here as part of the Maplewood coffee crawl and so glad we did! They were SO nice and encouraged us to try try an empanada which was DELICIOUS! We were so glad to hear they do a brunch (always on the lookout for a good brunch place) so we decided to check it out. Food was incredible and the staff are some of the nicest, most polite and accommodating people we’ve come across in a long time. Definitely gonna come back for dinner soon.Highly recommend!

John K: Another very nice restaurant in Maplewood. Tried the Sangria and it was delightfully smooth and sweet. For the appetizer I had a beef empanada. Nice and crispy on the outside and mouth watering on the inside. For my entree I ordered the 8oz fillet cooked medium with yucca frita. The steak was cooked nicely and it had a good sear. The meat was not buttery tender as I was hoping. Several bites were a little chewy. This was disappointing. The yucca fritas were enjoyable. Tried the flan for dessert and it was smooth and delicious. I’ll be back but I don’t recommend the fillet.
Chris Dornfeld: It’s always great to find a restaurant that is just excellent in every way 😊- and Asador Del Sur is that! The service was friendly and prompt, the decor is well done and the food was nothing short of excellent - from the empanadas to the flourless chocolate cake. Even the beans and rice was worth the visit. I am looking forward to going back and trying more dishes!!
Theo: If you’re looking for great Latin food in the St Louis area look no further. A great mix of Latin flavor with every dish and drink. The service was spot on and the space is a great place for a date night, celebration or really any night. Give ‘em a try!
D'Na Hankins: Lobster salad and short ribs were fantastic!

Lakeside Café at Saint Louis Zoo: what do users think?
Rick Krueger: Service extremely slow waited almost 30 minutes for 2 orders of pancakes and they were like rubber
Emory Kempf: Eat here if it prevents you from getting too hungry while at the zoo. The food is poor, and that’s unfortunate. Surely there’s not a law that says the food at a zoo should be both expensive and have poor taste.
Marina Pursley: My husband and I stopped in to get an early lunch before we kept exploring the rest of the zoo. Food was tasty and service was fast. As always 😁
Logan B: One of the slowest lines I’ve ever been in. Half the customers left after waiting too long and that’s the only reason it got shorter. It was almost impressive how little the line moved.
Alex Burks: Not the worst food, but mediocre to the point of being inedible. Great zoo, deserves better food. I say that they should feed the current stock to the animals and reconfigure the menu. : - )
pamela Davenport: The food is delicious there and that's a family place to goKid-friendliness: They have good kids meunFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
James Baker: Went for breakfast with my wife and 88 year-old mother in law. We called ahead to see what food offerings there were for breakfast because mom is on a soft food only diet because of her age and condition. She can't chew food so I have to mill everything for her. We ordered her a scrambled egg and wanted to just order a single pancake but the server said "No, we aren't doing that, you have to buy a stack." We explained why we just needed one pancake and offered to pay for a stack but she refused saying, "No, we don't do that." So we get a stack and the pancakes are huge. Big enough to make 9 servings for mom if we cut them into 1/3's. She eats about 6 oz. of food per meal as she weighs a whopping 88lbs and is 4' 8" tall and in a wheelchair. I think the menu should allow for a true "Child's or Senior" menu. It was a complete waste of food since we ended up throwing half the egg and 2 & 1/2 pancakes in the garbage so we could walk around and enjoy our day. The food was tasty but the unwillingness of the young lady behind the counter to simply help us in avoiding such a waste of food give us pause to eat there again. It's a big deal, food waste, and simply allowing someone to order a smaller portion of food would be a good practice. I don't care what the cost is but I don't think everyone walks around with a cooler full of ice to store leftovers in for 5 hours while walking around the zoo while pushing an 88 year old around in a wheelchair.
Mitchell McClure: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Asifbhai Huddani: Fries, nachos and burger are really good and hot. Little busy but not that much. They don’t give Cup lead and straw (great by Coca-Cola). Please stop providing Heinz catchup, mustard, mayonnaises and relish small plastic packets and save environment.
Koren Tarwater: The food in here is so good. Of all the zoos we have visited, this one has the best and most options and it's all so delicious
monica davis: I love going to the St Louis Zoo but the only thing I don't like is that the prices of their food is outrageous but I guess that makes up for getting in free
Austin Anthony: Totally rude people.. cold food and they just throw your food on the plate like they DGAS... Don't eat at the zoo!!!
Susan Bennett: Not enough seating for a crowd.
Aaron Barbee (A-A-Ron): Lines are a bit disorganized. One line had 2 cash registers for it, but you won’t notice that until you get to front of the line. Staff did clean up a spilled soda pretty quickly but they’re not here to be your best friend.Sandwiches/burger are cooked already (and wrapped up) so all of your toppings are on there, whether you want it or not. Everything was hot though and did taste good.
patrick mckechan: Good food not to bad of a priceKid-friendliness: Small kids Menu
Alan H: A clean, air conditioned area to grab lunch. The cafè, including the kitchen, seating area, and bathrooms were clean. Prices were a little higher, but reasonable when considering this was at a zoo that is free. Staff were friendly.Kid-friendliness: Kids meals available
Charles Gene: The young man Joseph with the glasses that rang my friend and I out was super kindThank you
Elizabeth Grueninger: Very busy. Quickly got through the line. Quessidila was hot and delicious. Not as expensive as we thought it would be.
Deepak Sharma: Coolest cafe in town
S M: Very nice place to stop for a quick meal. I'd rather eat here than McDonald's any day of the week.Features: Masks were needed inside while ordering.
Kelly Murray: Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: YesMore
