Valley Mount Ranch: what do users think?
Tammy Miranda: My very healthy horse almost died within weeks after moving him there. They feed sweet feed...seriously... then you can't even get to your horse anytime you want. Worst boarding stable ever! Beware!
Lisa Harvey: Love it! Great fun.
yRobbie Engel: The owner was unwelcoming and unbelievably rude to me, and access to my horse was micromanaged. I moved him within 3 weeks to a much more friendly, open, welcoming stable.
Big ____mEaT-_-___-: Very nice place! Nice people there too
Richard Thurman: I was just the driver. I didn't stay
john andres: Horses are always taken care of and trails are great!
Lauren Pyles: I called to find out what they offer for child horse back riding lessons. The lady who called me was so rude. It was like pulling teeth to get answers. She was not friendly at all and could care less about telling me about their programs. She sounded so miserable. I will not take my child here and will look else where.
Allen Price: Nice place to practice horseback riding.
Daniel Carlos: Not happy with the attitude of the staff that work here. This little girl who has never rode before was getting treated with terrible attitude and she didn't know what to do cause she has never been on a horse. If you have never rode before this would be ok, but if you have rode before go somewhere else. If you horse takes 1 step out of line you get yelled at.A tip for the owners. If you are take a group out that is experienced separate them from the new so you can focus on the new.I will never come back here again.
Christian Klarr: One of the best places to go riding
Bryan Vonderahe: Fun ride with kids. Easy to book and pretty scenery
Bill Schmidt: Nice people
Curtis B.: Good stiff
Kyla Harris: Awesome place to ride

Sugar Creek Ranch: what do users think?
Athirah Mn: This place is rude and people get drunk and high do all kinds drugs there and don't take care the horses at all had to deliver to them one night and had to call cops out to come because of incident of drunk high lady threatening me and my boyfriend when all i was there was to deliver food to someone on ranch that order doordash .I would never send my horses or kids to the ranch every not safe.also told I would call cops if she wouldn't stop hassrassing me then she said go ahead you will be sorry .
Katherine Westfall: Sugar Creek has the potential to be a great place to keep your horse, but there were just too many things I couldn’t get over as a boarder. I tried my absolute best to not be snotty or picky, but the care was mediocre at best. I boarded there for only a month; my horse was given a couple hours of turnout every day in lots that were constantly complete swamps. Every day they were pure mud and puddles even if it was sunny and hadn’t rained the day before. I understand they might not have a drainage system but with so many horses on the property it seems like they would have figured something out. They also feed 4 flakes of a hay per day, which is not enough for ANY horse to maintain a healthy gut. Then they charge you an arm and a leg for extra flakes. I also asked for more bedding because my horse was standing on just the mat underneath, with almost nothing to lay down on. So they wanted to charge me for extra bedding when that is the bare minimum basic care for horses in a stall. Overall both my horse and I just were not happy and would not recommend it. Pasture board seemed nice though, the horses had room.
Liv Johnson: the animals look adorable and the stalls are very nice! the indoor is huge!
Samantha Green: Wonderful barn and people with many extras for your convenience...multiple outdoor and indoor arenas with trails! Great location also
Angela Sconyers: My daughter has taken lessons here and we are very pleased! While walking around, I’ve encountered people who also have horses here or are working and they are very friendly. The horses are well cared for and the areas are HUGE! Highly recommend 👍🏼
Samentha Breaux: So quiet and peaceful
Jeremy Keltner: If you're considering Sugar Creek to board your horse I STRONGLY suggest you look elsewhere. As you can see from other reviews, Sugar Creek (it's owner in particular) has a reputation for continuously putting the animals under her care, at risk and anytime boarders approach her to ask why she is not providing basic care, she bullies them or threatens to kick them out.We boarded there for 18 mos and in that time we were told that only leaving a few inches of dirty, green water in a shared pasture trough for up to 20 horses was considered "acceptable" in her eyes. My wife was told never to fill up the trough. We have several photos of dirty water in this trough over the course of our time at Sugar Creek. We also mentioned to her that the gate to our horse's pasture had been left open to which she told my wife, "Oh your horse won't go far if she gets out". We also found out while we were out of town that a gelding was allowed in the mare pasture with our horse, resulting in her being kicked and bitten all over her hind quarters, all of which we have documented. This and the fact that when it was recently over 100 degrees for 4 consecutive days, the troughs were again photographed with having only a couple of inches of green, dirty water for our horses to drink out of, were the final straw for us.If you think ours is the only case, ask around about the reputation of this barn and it's owner and you'll quickly find out that the stories are consistent. Unfortunately many boarders here put up with the conditions because of the convenience of the location of the barn to St Louis.Hopefully yours won't be another one to experience how their barn is strictly a business and not about the care of these amazing animals.
Kathy H: My daughter has been taking lessons here for a few weeks and we couldn't be happier with the service we have received.
xf108a: Avoid at all costs. The 12 pasture horses are given 1" of murky water in the water trough (maybe 20 gallons total) in +95° temperatures. Horses require 10-15 gallons a day in those temperatures. The horse owners are told not fill the water trough for they're (stable owners) convenience in cleaning, which occurs infrequently. The sable has been reported to the humane society before. If you challenge the stable owner Kathy on this you will be given 24 hours to leave. Kathy is an inept and unreasonable owner and her actions cause animals to suffer. If you care about you horse do not board at Sugar Creek Ranch.
