Our first meeting was with Rob, nicest guy you wanna meet. He was honest and straight forward. He let me know everything that would be needed, what would happen, what I was buying. Anytime I had questions or wanted to make changes, they always answered and were very courteous about it. Install day was even better. Excellent work, excellent staff! Lee F: UPDATE: To add insult to injury, the storm windows were also installed poorly. As the weather turned cold, they started fogging up and recently, as temperatures plummeted, they have begun to ice over on the INSIDE (see photos). Windows that are installed correctly should not fog or ice on the inside as they should be sealed to prevent moisture getting in. Furthermore, we can also feel air coming in many of the windows, which did not happen with our old storm windows. While this company touted energy efficiency, it is the exact opposite. This company is a joke all around. Buyer beware!I hired STL Windows and Doors to replace 28 storm windows on my home because they were highly rated. I was told that the windows would be fully custom to fit my existing custom interior windows, however, the storm windows I received are not custom and do not line up with my existing interior windows (see photos).Honestly, I just wanted this fixed as it degrades the look of our home and is not what I ordered.What the company will tell you:1. They tried to remedy the situation, but the company they use is no longer making storm windows so there is nothing they can do.2. They apologize if the windows are not aesthetically pleasing or do not meet my expectations (disregarding the fact that they are not what I ordered).3. They pride themselves on customer service, their reputation, and their customer’s satisfaction.What I will tell you:1. When I alerted them to the issue, they said, “It is what it is.” They also told me that the storm windows only came in a 50/50 split (and not custom). I contacted the supplier myself and confirmed that the windows are available to order in custom sizes. When I told the company this, they said that they had reached out to the supplier and since they were no longer making storm windows, there was nothing they could do. I asked if there were other solutions, such as contacting another supplier, but I never received an answer to that.2. "Apologies" aside, I must now pay another company considerably more money to fix the issue caused by STL Windows and Doors.3. Their actions do not align with priding themselves on customer service. To outline a few of the particulars (without going into too much detail): they’ve blamed the original salesperson who no longer works for the company, they lied about the windows not being available in custom sizes, they then blamed me after I found out that they are available in custom sizes, a window was installed broken and has not been fixed.Please share this with family and friends to help them avoid losing money to false promises. Thank you!

Mubarak Nasiruddin: I walked into this shop needing 2 doors built from scratch for my home in south city. A historic home and I needed very specific details. I walked in and met a Father son duo who were very kind and clearly, had done this for sometime. They listen to my specifics, brought out different types of wood for me to pick from. They told me that this would take 3 months since they were backed up due to covid and it was completed in 2 months which was way ahead of schedule! They were kind and honest about the work. I got my doors and I am blown away by the quality & craftsmanship!! I would recommend them to anyone looking for work. They even have historic century-old equipment in the shop thats pretty cool to see. Support local businesses in Saint Louis!

Megan Pritchard: The Very Frustrating Contractor List isn't too long for me, but St Louis Sash is certainly on it. I've had an order in (and deposit made) for a replica wood door for 6 MONTHS. I've been given false information on the status of this order via email (owner confirmed he just 'says things' over email) and the status provided over the phone weeks ago has never come to fruition ('days away').My husband is in construction, so I get it. I know there are all kinds of delays and long lead times. But there has been zero communication from this company after taking my deposit. I don't know if I'll ever get this door, or maybe it will be another 6 months, but I'll update at that time. Just beware that this is yet another very frustrating contractor to deal with.

Tom Hall: Have always used Overhead for my garage doors. They are great. Sales reps are not pushy and techs have been good. Think we had a newer tech last time and he did miss a few things however they came back out and fixed quickly with no questions asked.

Kathryn Bowman: The workman was extremely helpful, and did more than I expected. He came out to show me how to change the code for opening the door. He cleaned and oiled the mechanism, tightened the spring, and explained that some of the rollers were wearing out. He did not hurry, and answered all my questions. I highly recommend this company.

Darice Murray: If you're a homeowner with an old fashioned garage attached to the basement with huge spring supports this is the company for you. The technician called with his approximate arrival time. Working alone he took down the old door and installed the new one. The price included 2 key fobs and an outdoor key pad, as well as cleaning up and hauling the old door away. The door is sturdy, double walled with insulation and a thick rubber door sweep on the bottom to keep the garage free of debris and drafts. I would certainly recommend this company.

Can't ask for more than that!
