Vellos Purputidis Official: It’s rare to find genuine cuisine from each restaurant’s homeland. It’s very rare to find Greek restaurants that serve genuine Greek food as I am Greek. My wife however, she’s from Russia. We decided to have Russian for dinner while on our stay in St. Louis. Astoria Restaurant not only didn’t disappoint, it was remarkably genuine. You will find amazing Russian dishes, the wife had the soup, I had the pork shashlik which just melted in my mouth. Miss Svetlana and her staff were super professional and made us feel warmth and welcomed. Every ingredient on our plate was natural and you could taste it. Please please please try this amazing warm place when in St. Louis. We found our new place whenever we visit again. Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Alina Trillo: Astoria has great authentic food that tastes like grandma's homemade meals. If you are new to Russian cuisine, I would suggest pelmeni - everyone's favorite! M K: It has been about a year since we’ve eaten at Js. We love it however, it is a bit of a treat for us. We went in for donations kebab sandwich but it was not the same as it used to be. The chicken instead of coming off of the rotisserie like the beef kebab does, is now just a breast of chicken that they grill. It is not the same sandwich and was a bit disappointing. When I asked the young lady taking the orders about it, she was quite unfriendly and basically told me how expensive it was for them to use that chicken and how they were losing so much money and then she proceeded to tell me that I’ve had it that way with the grilled chicken because they’ve been doing that for a while. I’ve only had it with the chicken that was on the rotisserie and I’m not sure why she acted the way that she did. I was just asking a question about the change in ingredients because the sandwich doesn’t taste the same as it used to and that is why I come there is to get that sandwich. My husband had the Berliner and it was delicious.
