St. Louis Dermatology Center: what do users think?
Eric Sutton: Great staff . Very specific with details.
Ellen Archibald: It is hard to find good quality service. But I love my service every time I come here, they never miss a beat. They have my skin looking like a black Barbie doll... RESPECT to everyone that works here.
Pamela Doe: Staff is very nice and informative
Asata Cole: I felt heard. Was able to get some treatment before leaving the office as a new patient. However, I was told that in order to see Dr. O when I called in March her earliest appointment was in June. When I was seen I was seen by the NP and was told that Dr. O will be present later in the appt. The NP did a great job so I am not taking that from her. I just felt mislead because Dr. O never came. If I would have known that I was going to see the NP I would have had a chance to get treated sooner since she had an opening months before Dr. O did.I will be starting a new regime praying that it all works out.
Pinioned Garroted: Without St. Louis Dermatology Center, I would still be in doubt about my skincare. My prescriptions and doctor guided skincare routine have greatly improved the appearance of my face and eased my hormonal break outs.
Diane Beck: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. You are always taken on time and appointment is handled efficiently.
Jance Curry-Witzman: I appreciate great bedside manner and customer service. The receptionist was friendly and Dr. O was the best!! She was very helpful and sensitive to my needs.
kyra: They take forever to respond to messages through portal. They don't ever tell you wants going on with your prescription. I've had a lot of unnecessary appointments with these people because they will not simply give a prescription. Even if nothing has changed they want you to waste the time and money to see them versus simply trying to solve the problem. When you call in the front desk gives you the runaround. They don't ever know anything. Apparently their medical team is slow to update them. Wouldn't recommend their services unless you like wasting time and money. And the robot is stupid. Just gave a person walk patients to their room. Waste of money.
Betty Mitchem: Excellent care and customer service.
Cheri Rich: Everyone was extremely nice, thorough, warm, and welcoming. It was a great experience from start to finish.
Sara Stocker: I’m editing this review because while I had an incredible experience with most of the staff, I will not be returning to St. Louis Dermatology Center, nor will I continue to recommend them. I thought my appointment was on Wednesday, but it was on Thursday - I even went to the office on the wrong day! I called later that day after finishing up my last meeting and left a message requesting a reschedule because I had a conflict at my original appointment time. The man (Homer?) who returned my call, whose tone was a vast contrast from those warm, friendly folks I had spoken to previously, asked me why I couldn’t make it (clearly didn’t matter) and told me it would be $75. I was confused because I called the day before to cancel, which in my experience is sufficient and respectful vs. calling day of and rescheduling. I explained that I had a work conflict and laughed off that I had been there earlier that day, but that didn’t seem to be “good enough.” I reminded him that I had called and left a message and he said “Oh, looks like you did - that’s $50, not $75” I asked if there was anyway this could be waived and he said it had to go to their billing department for an appeal (which didn’t include me offering any additional information) and that it would take 72 hours. My appeal was rejected and I was charged $50. I understand why these policies are in place and I also know that they’re created with room for exceptions. I left my glowing review 4 weeks ago and now I’m an active detractor before my first follow-up.——————I loooooove St. Louis Dermatology Center :’) I almost don’t know where to start! The office is beautiful, rooms are cozy and bright, everything was spotless. The staff is incredible. Christy, the receptionist, was so warm and welcoming. The woman I spoke with (Michelle, I think?!) to schedule the appointment was so kind and personable and quickly set me up with an appointment. I saw Nurse Practitioner Rachel Heet today and she was incredible - listened attentively, took a look at my skin and almost immediately knew what I was experiencing. She explained the condition, the steps and timeline to address it and answered all of my questions thoroughly.Plus, a sweet little robot named Rosie takes you to your room! Highly recommend STLDC!
Terence Whitaker: Had a great experience at my first appointment! The staff was amazing, I was seen on time. Dr. O was amazing, kind and informative. Looking forward to more visits here.
William Winslow (STLiberation): Very unique and updated office. Very knowledgeable and helpful!
Kristyl Johnson: Dr. O. ACTUALLY READ my information and was already prepared to speak with me!! So many doctors ask you all the info you already have spent time and energy completing, per THEIR request. I can't stand that!! She was quick, thorough, and receptive to my issues.
Kim White: Absolutely terrible office and staff! I do not recommend they refuse to see my child due to a payment issue when offered to make an arrangement they refuse to accept!
Queenbubalicious -: Called to make an appointment an determined the Dr. Is just a front. You'll never be scheduled for the Dr. Only the practioners. God forbid you have a emergency and need to cancel $50 day b4 $75 day of. I just don't like the scamming sensation of it all. So I decided to make an appointment elsewhere.
Allyson Lavender: We love Dr. O! Both my son and I have seen her for a variety of reasons and she and her staff have always taken great care of us and our skin.
Chisanga Nsalange: Amazing Healthcare providers. I am glad I made the right choice 😌.
Russell Hunt: Paid $185 for a “consultation”. Told me a bunch of stuff that I can’t remember but that’s fine. I’ll have paperwork to guide me. WRONG! No paperwork with instruction or direction. Just got took for the money. Be aware
P Rogers: I had a good experience with the doctor so I referred my husband and then made an appointment for my daughter. The representative told me that it was a 2 month wait for new patients…no problem. The representative used my insurance information and transferred it to my daughter’s account over the phone. Now it is the day of the appointment, I completed the online documentation that I received in an email and arrived 20 minutes early to take care of anything that they may need…I saw that they want patients there 10 minutes early. I arrive and I can see that a young lady is being trained by a brunette. They ask repetitive questions and keep going back to check with someone in the back. The receptionist tells me that they could not verify my insurance so I will need to pay for today’s visit out of pocket. The same insurance that me and my husband has used and the insurance that I provided 2 months ago. I also provided the insurance card with ID when I arrived. She kept saying that they cannot verify my insurance so I can pay out of pocket. I was not prepared to pay out of pocket especially because our same insurance was used before. I told her that someone should have called me before I got there, she responded that a text was sent a week ago…a text that I did not see but that warranted a phone call. I told her to cancel because I was not paying out of pocket. She said it was a cancellation fee. Very cold personality with a can’t do attitude, no regard for patients. Not a good representation, I see other reviews that share the same sentiment regarding the front desk. I will definitely post and warn as many people if I am charged a cancellation fee for an appointment that I was 20 minutes early for; after being told at the appointment that I would pay out of pocket because someone dropped the ball and didn’t verify the insurance.Reply to response below: Just as I predicted, I received a thoughtless, unoriginal, repetitive reply that I have seen countless times under other clients’ reviews. Someone who is desensitized with a lackluster attitude has saved these responses on their computer so they can cut and paste. This proves my point and a prime example that clients are not treated with the individualized care that they are deserving of. FYI- After a bad experience, the office should reach out to the clients to make things right not vice versa.
Kay Bee: Always a great experience ant Dr. O’s office! The staff is always welcoming, warm and friendly!

SLUCare Dermatology - Des Peres: what do users think?
Kevin Cowden: They were kind and took care of me quicklyNot sure why all the bad reviews
Ronnie Nelson: Been going there about 4 years 7 days late on my grace. And I have to start all over and they wonder why they got a 2-point rating
Victoria D: My mother has been a patient at this office for at least 10 years . Mom has had several pre-cancerous spots frozen or cut out for biopsy’s . Just last Friday 10-7-2022 my mother had a appointment scheduled for her all over exam. Mom has a few new rough, scaly and painful spots to be examined. When my mother arrived she was told that Dr . Abate moved out of state and there was no doctor in the office that day. Mom lives in a assisted living facility and has a service that drives her to and from appointments which she pays for.Not one person bothered to call to inform mom about the change in doctors or schedule. Mom has had that appointment for months. The office staff rescheduled the appointment for February!! My mother is extremely worried about the scaly, painful areas that need attention before February! This office in Des Peres is known for having trouble with their “phone lines.” My mother or myself could NEVER get through to talk to a human. ALWAYS had to leave a message for a return phone call which was NEVER returned. I had to physically drive to the office to speak with office staff.( Several times.)Again having trouble with the “phone lines.”BS. I’ve witnessed staff answering and calling patients. What is a elderly woman with cancerous painful lesions supposed to do when NOT one person from the staff bothers to inform her of the changes. Now she has to wait for months, the problem area’s are not going away they will only get worse. Causing mom more grief, frustration and money out of her own pocket for a wasted trip to be turned away. WOW, way to go SLU care dermatology. Now I understand all the negative reviews. Great communication!! Don’t tell me to go to a website and fill out a form because of your lack of responsibility. SLU CARES my A- -.
Danyelle: This is the most unprofessional place. They never answer the phone or return voicemails i use my chart which literally tells you when the staff has read you message and so many go unanswered. I have HS so my flares are unpredictable and painful. My only relief is a steroid injection they don’t offer anything at urgent care and the hospital is a long wait and a huge bill for something that can easily be done here in minutes. Each visit you’re always seen mainly by the student who’s learning but the doctor is why i came they should be observing the doctor and not leading the exam that’s so unsettling for the patient. Bottom line they’re unprofessional and don’t have the staff to treat patients properly
Wan Ormes: wait in doctor office over 45 minutes
Lailah G: answer the phone.
Catherine Beal: Service has always been on time. Once I had a problem after I had a biopsy and the office got back to me right away. Getting through to the office with all the recordings and hold times is frustrating
d w: Do you enjoy the current healthcare system where you will be overcharged $500 so you can be graced by a doctor's presence for less than 1 minute. Do you enjoy hidden fees and getting calls from a debt collector two years after your visit because you owe an additional $400 even though you have a letter from their office saying you owed $0. Then Slucare is the medical care facility for you. Don't worry about those misdiagnosed illnesses that cost you your grandmother last year or the fact that even with insurance you'll still have to sell the soul of your first born child just to cover your last visit. Come on down to Slucare were their slogan is "your money is all that matters"
Ray Rodriguez: I am shocked by all of these negative reviews. I have been going to this office for at least 5 years and have always found the front office to be friendly and efficient. Dr. West is awesome. I can't imagine going anywhere else for my dermatology needs.
Layla Tucker: I was referred here by another dermatologist. I was there on a Friday, after being seated in the exam room the medical assistant asked me if I was going to get “lit” this weekend. I had to have a biopsy and the second medical assistant Erica, only complained the whole time about how Kimberly, the PA likes things setup. Front desk staff also extremely rude at checkout. I got lucky the first time I called and they answered. In the past year I have had to call multiple times and had to leave multiple voicemails just to get one call back. Was happy with the care I received from Kimberly Brown but will not be returning.
Logan Hernandez: Was not happy with my visit, the doctor did not listen to me and jest worried about her self. I would not recommending this group and there negativity towards patients. Also giving false information.
Johanna Shultis: I’ve been pretty disappointed both times I’ve had to come here. I saw two different dermatologists about a year apart for the same concerning mole. The first one told me that she didn’t want to remove it because it would leave a scar (obviously...) and the second, Dr. Abate, was running late and made it clear she didn’t want to spend time with me. She only looked at my mole from a few feet back and asked no questions about how it’s changed before telling me it was fine. She did refer me to a surgeon to have it removed, which I appreciated, but I found it kind of strange that she didn’t even really look at it.
Nick St. John: Awful office! i recommend never going there! I went into their office multiple times for a skin rash i have and paid multiple co pays and paid for multiple creams/lotions and nothing ever worked. I have a $50 co pay and paid my co pay at least 7 times for them to guess what i have and never figure it out. On my last visit with the skin rash while i was there and after i paid my co pay Dr Abate asked me if i wanted them to freeze my warts because they noticed them. I said sure go ahead and they didn't inform me the my $50 co pay wouldn't cover the freezing of the warts. So now they are trying to get $100 something from me after for that after I have already paid them AT LEAST $350 in co pays and that doesn't even count how much i have spent in buying the creams and lotions they prescribed me that never even worked and the freezing of the warts made my warts even WORSE!!!! it split one of my 2 warts into 3 little warts!!!! I should have been notified of any additional charges after my co pay before any activities are performed! SLU Care Dermatology did nothing for me but cost me a bunch of money and made my skin worse!! I will never EVER be back and i would strongly suggest anyone that ever ask me to never EVER go there!!
Galve Deleste: If I could give a lower review I would. This office is by far the least organized and worst at communicating. If you have an option see any other dermatology department. They do not provide accurate, nor timely information. Seriously disappointed by the patient care I have received. Avoid at all cost.
Debbie Shelton: I love Dr. West!!! Really great office!!!
Steve Golden: Failure to communicate! Prime Example: Wed 5/14 am called for MULTIPLE reasons, including inability to get scheduled for light therapy 3 days/week as prescribed but clearly stating that I had multiple questions and concerns and needed to talk to my Dr. Next day light therapist called with 2days/wk available and scheduled that. I called back to make clear I still wanted to call physician and wanted to make sure that was clear. I was told that they were aware of that and there policy was to return calls within 48 hours. Stayed home all day and evening Friday but no contact. I called mid-morning on Monday to inform them that: 1. due to a death i the family I would be out of town so I need to cancel my initial appt with light therapist and that I was still waiting for a phone call. Reiterated I would be out of town (KC MO) on Tues 2. I still had not heard from Dr. and had made request last Wed, They again confirmed they were aware of that. No call back on Monday. Returned and found per caller ID they had called on Tuesday anyway???. Another Dr. from group did call back today Wed and we were at least able to make them aware of questions and she did clarify some things. Said she would have my Dr call me. Learned that after 8 mos of treatment they are still not sure of diagnosis. Treatments have been revised in that time but they have not explained why as we are going on. This is the first time I found out that the diagnosis was tentative but they were trying to treat symptoms. No testing has has been done and I was just today told why..

George Dermatology: what do users think?
Mary Felling: Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable as I signed in. Efficient assistant to get paperwork signed once in treatment room. Dr George is so smart. She was the first dermatologist (after trying different ones over the years) to diagnose I had precancerous evidence on my lips. She called it immediately seeing my lips the first time. 2 week treatment took care of it. All other dermatologists told me lips peeling and burning was from licking my lips, I was dehydrated, stop using lipstick etc. I will never go to anyone else than Dr. George.
Erin Funke: Dr. George and staff are awesome!!!Very professional. I would recommend them to to anyone for all your Dermatology needs.
Scott Jahn: Very friendly and timely staff, Dr. George addressed my concerns and prescribed medication that showed positive results quickly
Alyssa Kelsey: This office charges your payment on file two weeks after the bill is sent out. No matter the amount. No payment plans are offered.I’ve been going to doctor offices my whole life and never have I encountered these types of policies. I would find a different office for care.
Tashena: First time I went to a dermatologist were they prescribed me exactly what I needed. The staff is friendly! I will be back.
Thomas Ansell: Great staff, helpful friendly, appointments run on time.
Tammy Nesund: I recently moved to St Louis and a friend referred to me to George Dermatology. I was not able to get into Mary Noel George but was able to see Amanda Altgibers, PA. I am a Licensed Aesthetician and routine dermatology checks are vital. Amanda was very thorough on her exam and took time to listen and check all the concerns on my list. I also called back later in the day to get the name of one of my skin concerns and Amanda took the call and explained it to me. I highly recommend George Dermatology!
Eugene “Titania” Barlow: Very friendly staff who are personable and informative. I have been here twice for different issues and I always felt informed and had agency over my care.
AK: On par with other terrible experiences.I was told by the receptionist that in order to be seen by the doctor, I needed to schedule and pay for a “hair loss consult” even though I don’t have hair loss. I do not suffer from hair loss, rather, I had a very, very, mild case of Alopecia Areata. However, I was still informed that I needed to pay for a hair loss consult in order to be seen.Luckily, I went to another dermatologist in St. Louis who was able to diagnose, and fix, my Alopecia Areata within one visit. Thank you, Deluxe Dermatology!
Ci Baby: Dr.George has no bed side manners didn't show any concern for my condition , basically treated me as if I was beneath her.
Casey Peetz: Dr. Moritz is her team are very helpful and nice.
Jay Kelley: Both of my sons went there. We scheduled an orthodontist appointment for one of them that would take place afterwards, but the dermatologist ran over 30 min late. We informed the front desk that he would need to leave for the other appt. We were not angry, these things happen. We were happy to re-schedule. However, once in the appt with my other son (We bring both to save time), the doctor informed us that she would still charge us even though we showed up on time and waited over 30 min. The doctor said "Sorry no exceptions, I have a business to run". I am suspicious of this statement when it comes to friends and family, but it does not matter. I understand the point, but as a customer, I am forced to award 1 star for poor customer service, a lack of understanding, and have scheduled an appointment for the boys with a new dermatologist. I'm not sure her decision was the best from a business standpoint, but to each their own. If you decided to use them, show up on time and wait as long as necessary, do not leave for any reason or you will be charged. Pretty cut throat over there.
T T: Update/Response- I'm open to talking to whomever but I've stated everything below.. also if you would like to provide your name and or ext that would be most helpful as I just attempted to call but had no clue who to ask for..Time line:I became a patient in 2020 was provided prescriptions for treatment.2021 I was still having the same issue called to see what I was diagnosed with as it was NEVER shared with.2021 I had a 2nd apt and was prescribed a different hair lotion to help with the itchingDr George and I...-visits were never more then 6 mins- there was no follow up plan until the 2nd apt I ask what was the plan and was told come back in a couple of months if there was no change.-there wasn't anything provided to tell me what we were treating until I called months later bc there was no change- the shampoo prescribed for the seborrheic dermatitis causes my hair to be super dry that was never addressed when mentioned at the 2nd apt- there was no after care instructions meaning after using the drying shampoo I was not provided with instructions even after mentioning the shampoo dries my hair and makes it itch like crazy.Definitely felt like my issue was not really concerning especially since it was going on for so long. Seemed more important to just be in and out.Not real helpful in helping to understand what was happening I ended up just dealing with this for almost 2 yrs and started wearing wigs. Here in 2022 I decided to just go to a different dermatologist and not do any more follow ups with Dr. George.I did give them 2 stars bc if you need an apt quick or to be in and out within 30 mins they make it happen that's from start to finish if even that long.
Jake Sanders: I scheduled an appointment for some dry skin issues. The staff was friendly but when it came time to actually talking to the doctor about my prognosis/treatment plan I was very disappointed.I barely got 2 minutes of dr George’s time to discuss my condition. She ended up prescribing me an OTC medication and didn’t explain how long I should use it/didn’t discuss any changes to my skin care routine that could be done. The impression I got is that she is only concerned about getting as many patients through the door as she can, and she is not concerned about understanding the patients issues/helping treat them going forward.I would suggest going to another dermatologist that shows more interest in their patients.
Peter Thorpe: Terrible customer service
Katherine Galliers: I have seen both Dr. George and Dr. Moritz in this office and have had great encounters with both Dermatologists. They are both very knowledgeable, thorough, and always make sure to answer all of my questions.
Nakeema S: UPDATE:10/6/21 I received an email for an appointment I never signed up for nor confirmed. I did have an appointment 2 weeks ago as a new patient and both young secretaries ignored me. Maybe that was their way of rescheduling me, I do not know. Anyway, I called and canceled the appointment. I also asked “Donna” to delete my information. I do not want to be charged $150 for appointments I did not schedule because I didn’t show up.I had an appointment today. I came early because I knew of paperwork I had to fill out. I walk in, there’s a guy with dark hair, dressed in black printing papers. I see that he’s busy, so I sit down and wait.As I’m waiting a young lady with long hair, looks me dead in my face, says nothing to me but starts a conversation with the guy. By then, it has been 5-8 minutes. Neither one acknowledges me.Since I wasn’t acknowledged, I step out to make a phone call, I come back- both are gone.No ones at the front desk. I make a call to let my SO know I’m coming home. A nurse hears me, comes to assist but I’m already livid. My apologies to the nurse. This was solely on the secretaries. She tells me it was their lunchtime. I was there almost 10 minutes before their lunch. Enough time to be acknowledged. Enough time to at least get the paperwork started. They blatantly ignored the fact that I was there. 😒
miesha21: This was my first time here. I saw Dr. Moritz. I felt extremely rushed. She was in the room for 5 minutes and that's being generous. She seemed very anxious. Like calm down lady, take a seat and at least pretend to care. Especially if it's someone's first time at your office.
Christopher DeGarmo: Happy with services, however the staff that handles appointments is rude, and hard to deal with.
Nathan Hayes: Went here in search of a go ahead for the cosmetic removal of a mole on my cheek via laser procedure at a plastic surgeon clinic. During the consultation I was told that since I was born with this mole the chances of it becoming cancerous is actually less than cancer developing anywhere else on my body. I was also told that if the laser procedure failed it would change the composition of the mole to the point where if it does become cancerous its hard to tell whether or not its cancerous. Risk: IF the laser procedure fails, it becomes hard to determine whether or not it is cancerous, and that's IF it becomes cancerous. (refer to how small the possibility is^^^) Reward: I finally get to have this mole removed without any long term scar. Conclusion: Whenever you consider getting a procedure/surgery done, there's always risk and reward, its up to you and your doctor to recognize this, and make a smart decision based off of that. In my case, the reward far outweighs the risk. The probability of the risk actually seeing itself into fruition is probably similar to randomly getting struck dead by a meteor or something stupid like that; but either way, this clinic did not give me the go ahead, and I still had to pay them for their unprofessionalism.
Courtney Kalapinski: I also went to this doctor because of the good reviews. I should have listened to the other one-star reviews, because that is the type of service that I got as well. I had two different appointments with Dr. George for all over acne. When I first arrived there was an assistant of some sort who took down some basic information. I brought in several different medication bottles (like Doxycycline hyclate) that I had used before, so that I could let them know what worked/didn't work/what I was allergic to. I am allergic to Doxycycline, told the assistant this, and assumed the took note of that? Dr. George them prescribed me Doxycycline monohydrate. She stated that this is a slow-release and could be different? It wasn't, obviously. I had an allergic reaction, let them know about it, and they had me come back into the office. I was then put onto another medication, which I had such a bad allergic reaction to that I went to the ER. I called the office to let them know that I had ANOTHER allergic reaction and they wanted me to come back in and pay ANOTHER overpriced office visit copay. At this office, the doctor does not listen to your concerns... they did not pay attention to the actual bottle of medication that was right in front of them that I said did not work... seems to care more about money than listening to the patient's concerns/experience. Please find elsewhere to go.

SLUCare Dermatology: what do users think?
Robert Schrader: The front desk canceled an appointment of mine without my consent and without any notification. I had been waiting six months for this appointment, and then they tried to make me wait five months for another. Pretty ridiculous when you consider that I was having a suspicious skin lesion looked at!
Katie Mcgohan: After my doctor moved to SLU I have not been able to get my medicine or talk to someone. When I ask for someone to talk to I get told that they have no way to help me.
M. Gurnow: SLUCare Dermatology's reviews are accurate: The office and its staff is disorganization personified, helmed by a lack of professionalism, managed by gross discrimination. My experience left me speechless to the degree wherein I considered retaining legal council. Allow me to relay my unfortunate interactions with this medical office so you may hopefully avoid the same:My initial consultation was with Dr. Guo, a veteran practitioner, so much so that she arrived with shadowing resident in-tow. As she took my history, Guo inquired as to what medications I was currently taking. I informed her I was on testosterone. She turned and asked, "Where are you getting it from?" thereby suggesting I was purchasing it off the black market. I was alarmed. I informed her I had a prescription. She asked, "From which doctor?" I told her. Visibly disgruntled at what I could only assume was her suspecting an overly-tattooed, muscular man—whom she had just unapologetically profiled—had lied to her (despite hormone replacement now being commonplace to the extent that men's health clinics are as populous as Starbucks, say nothing of me being middle age, thus a prime candidate for such therapy), she proceeded with my exam. Having finished her assessment and contradicting what her understudy had determined during my pre-exam, Guo stated I would need to schedule with her colleague, Dr. Fehlman.I called SLUCare Dermatology on Feb. 22, asking to schedule with Fehlman. I was informed that the office does not schedule directly with Fehlman but that a message would be left on my behalf.A week passed and I received no call-back.I called again and was told the same, but was assured I would be contacted in the next 24 hours.I was not. When I called a third time, the administrative assistant stated she could give me Felhman's fax number. Confused, I asked her why I needed it. "So that you can fax your referral over," she replied. I informed her the referral came from her [the administrative assistant's] office, SLUCare Dermatology! She paused before inquiring when my initial consult with Guo had been. I told her. She asked why it had taken so long for me to schedule with Fehlman. Unsure why this was pertinent, I nonetheless stated I was self-pay and needed time to save the money to afford the office visit. I judiciously chose to omit that I'd also lost over two weeks' time due to SLUCare's scheduling negligence. To my surprise, I was told my referral was no longer valid, that it had essentially expired, and that I would need to be reexamined . . . . I had just been informed that I was being financially reprimanded for not having the money to immediately schedule a follow-up!The circumstance smelling funny on multiple levels, I thought back to Guo's poor bedside manner and asked the administrative assistant what patient notations had been made by the doctor. She ignored the question.I asked to speak to the office manager.I was placed on hold before a dial tone preceded a voice message thanking me for calling SLUCare Dermatology and asking me to pick from the following options.Confused, I spent the afternoon attempting to riddle through what had transpired before calling the next day and asking, once again, to speak to the office manager. I was transferred to a voicemail box in which no name was given and instructed to leave a message (which meant the administrative assistant the previous day had all but hung up on me.) Staying ahead of the curve after reviewing SLUCare Dermatology's Google Review "responses from the owner," I also preemptively filled out a Patient Experience Form.No surprise, I have yet to receive a response to either message.
Donna McGauley: I feel like I am just a number. I like the doctor, but the service is poor. Cannot get through to anyone for a refill of my medication. When I get onto MyChart - they don't even have my medications listed! They knew them when I was in the office. I can't even ask for a refill because they don't have my med listed. My son took months to get his refill. I hope I don't have the same problem
Dan M: STEER FAR FAR AWAY!!!! Don't not, I repeat DO NOT! Go to this office. They are easily the worst place to go in Saint Louis. If you want to sit in a waiting room for almost 2 hours just to be seen by a doctor for 30 seconds then steer clear of this office. They are horrible! They will not assist you with anything and the staff has to be some of the worst staff members and unprofessional I have ever dealt with. This is just a fair warning. It takes months and months just to get them to do a Prior Auth (still don't have yet). So your medication will be months and months late. They still will not doing anything for you or help you. They just pass you around to the next person. There are way better places in Saint Louis. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Caryn Ulsas: Terrible to deal with! I hate dealing with this place.Had to reschedule a general appointment, the soonest they could get me in was 5 months later. In that time my prescriptions were going to expire. I asked them to send refills, they said they would put in a request, nothing came of that. So I called 3 separate days to get these prescriptions renewed b/c the pharmacies said the doctor's office needed to send new ones. I was on hold with the prescription renewals option for anywhere from 15-52 mins each, nobody ever picked up any of the 3 days I tried calling. I finally called the appointment line, somebody picked up, but they said I had to submit a note thru MyChart. When I got onto MyChart there was no place to send a message. I did a chat with MyChart, they said I needed to call to resolve the problem. Now I'm on hold with MyChart.
Rick Coleman: Worst service ever had. They tell you to use their Mychart app but they don't respond to it. They say allow 48 hrs for response but 2 different times have sent refill requests with 0 response. 9 days 1st time n 6days n waiting 2nd try. They don't care, run from here. 0 star is more appropriate. No phone access to speak to anyone derm.. dept.I'm looking for a new dr. PITIFUL experience, shouldn't be open. Big city medicine ? Sucks. Make you feel like a burden.
Phil White: My doctor shut his practice down so I came here to slu. Went to my appointment in November the nurse said she called my refills in when I was there. I take an injection that has to be on time. Found out in one week I didn't have any refills so I called. I'm not good with on line stuff and don't have a computer at home only my phone. I told them this when I was there. Had to call the person that takes appointments to talk to a real person. Every week since I was there I called trying to get my refills. No response what so ever. Now I'm overdue and have to go to another doctor. This is the worse service ever. They don't care about their patients. Beware!
Chun Zee: Don’t go to them they are lazy and can’t answer the phone
Matt E: Wish I could give 0 stars. Nobody ever calls back - EVER. Please don't bother to respond about filling out a patient experience form, as I am technically not a patient due to the complete inability to even make an appointment. Also, it may be a better choice to take someone from your "patient experience team" and move them to a little office with a phone so that they can answer or even return phone calls. What a joke. If you read the other reviews than let this be further confirmation of what has already been said. Save the frustration and find another place.
Jessica Jones: Absolutely horrible experience. My doctor was great, but when I tried to get a simple medication refill, I was unable to get ahold of the office. I called every single day for a whole week and left 3 messages. No one ever answered or returned my call. I then tried calling other departments and they continued to transfer me despite me saying no one was answering. Switching dermatologists immediately.
A_ VirgoMomE: For nearly a month if not longer, tried to get a refill and never received a callback!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never got the refill. I left several messages. Close this place.
Dale Little: Absolutely ridiculous. I made an appointment 2 months out and they cancelled on me day-of. The appointment was pushed back 2 months. Now it's 6 days before the rescheduled appointment and I just got a call that they want to push it back ANOTHER 2 months.Find a different place to go and save yourself the trouble.
Ivy Green: Can't get anyone on the phone. Been trying to schedule an appointment for a few weeks now. Let's hope this isn't melanoma.
Jamaia Jones: No one answers or return voicemails
Louise Morgan: I was referred to this practice when my regular dermatologist was unable to provide a specialized type of treatment. It is very difficult to make or cancel an appointment with this group, you wait on hold and then are sent to a voicemail. Twice I left a voicemail, waited a week, and then had to call back because I'd not been contacted. On one of those occasions I was rather rudely informed that they have up to 7 days to respond to a voicemail (which isn't mentioned in the voicemail message). Another time I arrived at the office to find my appointment was canceled (after I'd confirmed in the days before) because I didn't respond to the confirmation text sent that morning. I didn't respond because I live an hour away from the clinic and was in my car driving to the appointment. Sorry guys, in my state it is illegal to be texting while driving. So I put my phone away when I'm on the road. Not relying so much on automation, and a little kindness from the staff, would go a long way towards improving the user experience.
Jackie S: THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. How can you expect to get the necessary care and medications if they do not answer. I have went online and filed a complaint already. If no one else contacts me in regards to the emergency medications I am needing, I will be stopping my care with SLU. I will report them to every single business and news outlet who will listen to me. 🙃Edit: I finally received a call to get my medication started with no help from a woman named Sherice Money. She told my insurance company she was “too busy” to assist in filling out the correct paperwork to get the medication needed. Due to this I’ve started going to the Des Peres office which is A LOT better. No more rude coordinators taking appointments. I would recommend if someone has had an issue with the people at the front desk as well as the medication coordinator (Sherice Money) report it to the attending physician and request an appointment at the Des Peres location off Dougherty.
Mike Asaro: Got a referral from my primary doctor. SLUCare was to follow up with me which they didn't do. No big deal, I just called their office to make an appointment. That was a waste of time. They keep you on hold for several minutes and then put you in another VM system where the only option is to leave your name and number for a call back. The call back never happens. I'm asking my doctor for another referral.
Alyssa Kelsey: Two stars because the building and office are nice, but Dr. Eran Chen not so much. She seemed irritated that I even made the appointment. Very standoffish and dismissive with my issues. Not how a patient should be treated, a new patient at that. On top of all that, my original first appointment was cancelled the day before because she decided she wasn't coming in that day, so I had to wait almost another two months just to get in for my appointment. I would NOT recommend.
ebony bryant: So far so good, staff is amazing and helpful No Problem at all, Kimberly is the best she really understands the benefits of my skin she is really understanding, caring makes me feel comfortable, recommend 100% KIMBERLY THE BEST won’t be disappointed ❤️👍
Zack Kilwin: Same issue as everyone else with not getting a call back from the office. They sent my prescription to the wrong Walgreens and every call has gone unanswered.

Jason B. Amato, MD Dermatology: what do users think?
Liz Russell-Drummond: Taylor, the Medical Aesthetician, has been a blessing for my family! Her professionalism, knowledge and compassion as well her attention to and follow up with each patient is superior! She has made a tremendous improvement for one family member’s acne and scars as well as my skin concerns. I seek and trust her advice when purchasing skin care and I highly recommend her to everyone!!!
Michele Matzat Lord: I have seen Dr. Amato for several years. He has excellent “bedside manor” and is very responsive. I especially appreciate the aesthetic services provided by Taylor in his office. She is delightful and does a great job explaining various procedures.
Denise Seid: Highly recommend Taylor for any cosmetic facial services you are needing. From my very first consultation, she listened to my concerns, made several suggestions and what she thought were the best options for me. I never felt pressured to have anything done that I wasn't comfortable with doing. At my first appointment, I had a laser treatment done. Taylor explained the whole process as she doing it. I recently had a Diamond Glow facial and could not be happier with those as well as the laser results. All I can is wow, quite the self esteem booster!!!!
Amy Boscan: Amazing experience with Dr. Amato and esthetician, Taylor. Together they helped me clarify my skin by removing fine lines, redness, and wrinkles. They are both very personable and help guide me to an ideal plan. I highly recommend!
Christine Johnson: Taylor is phenomenal! 110% recommend a consultation with Taylor to guide your skincare journey. She takes the time to listen to you and then gives great recommendations based on your needs. I have seen such improvement in just a few short months in her care. Go see her today!
Kim Eghtesady: Met with Taylor and had an amazing facial. She is knowledgeable and a very caring practitioner.
Kathy M: Love Dr. Amato. He listens. Answers questions. Spends time with you. Is always on time. Goes over everything you want him to look at. Very nice Dr.Staff has always been great.Have seen both NPs. Both very nice.
Jennifer Lim: I have been seeing Taylor (Medical Aesthetician) for over a year now, my skin looks amazing all due to her! She is knowledgeable and very personable. She understands my skin way better than I do! Highly suggest making an appointment with her, you won’t regret it!
Victoria Moore: I have been coming to Dr. Jason Amato's Dermatology for many years. The staff and doctors are knowledgeable, and caring. They explain what can be done to care for your skin needs. If you decide that's what you want to do, they do it. You leave with a care plan, and a followup, if needed. They offer many services, so you can be your best self. I would recommend this place to everyone, who want a great experience.
Lou Borje: Taylor is great .....
Jennifer Birger: Taylor consistently provides excellent skin services, looking forward to my next appointment!
Jon Cournoyer: Dr. Amato has great humanitarian skills. He has always made me feel comfortable and calm with my procedures. His staff is also A plus. I feel so fortunate to have him and staff for my dermatology needs.
Melissa Butler: The office was very professional and clean. I thoroughly enjoyed my facial with Taylor. She had great etiquette and made me feel comfortable during my service. I am 4 weeks post micro/needling and my skin is glowing! She has me on the best skin care regimen (Skin Better Science). Thank you for making me feel beautiful in my skin. I highly recommend Taylor if you are apprehensive on any skin treatments. She will answer all your questions and make you feel at ease.
Jeff Butler: Thank you to Dr. Amato and his professional staff (Taylor) for welcoming me as a new patient and giving me great care. From being able to easily fill out the paperwork in advance and quickly get through the check in process all the way through the appointment and the checkout, everyone was professional, friendly, and clearly at the top of their game. It was a good experience and Dr. Amato will be my dermatologist moving forward.
Katie Mariani: I’ve used Dr. Amato’s office for a variety of needs, both clinical and cosmetic. They have always been wonderful, especially Taylor, the esthetician. She recommended the perfect set of treatments for me to help clear up some hyperpigmentation so I could look my best for my wedding day. She guided me through every step of the process and checked in with me to make sure I was handling the treatments well and happy with the results. And she’s a pro at making you feel comfortable and relaxed during your appointments. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
Nancy Stout: I have been a patient of Jamie for years now. She is friendly, knowledgable and thorough. Stephanie B at the front desk is quick, friendly and efficient! My appointments always run on time!
Lily Shanahan: Highly recommend Dr. Amato and his entire staff for all things dermatology and skincare. Hands down the best in STL!
Jill Buchanan: Taylor was so helpful and very knowledgeable. I received micro needling per her suggestion and have been happy with the results. Her experience assured me that I would receive professional care and she was great about informing me what to expect afterward. Highly recommend.
Elle Jay: The Nurse Practitioner I saw was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable but the front desk/whoever answers calls... that's another story. They will cut you off mid sentence to place you on hold and rather than coming back they transfer your call without even telling you and send you to the wrong person for the wrong reason and make you re-explain what you were just trying to explain in the first place, they answer the phone saying "what?!" and then hang up on you, the phone conveniently goes to voicemail when you call back (because they hung up on you), they rush you off the phone when they DO answer, and they just overall lack patience, understanding, that extra little kindness you hope to receive when you have questions for your doctors office, and it's poor customer/patient service. Rather than being helpful, the vibe they give off is that the patient is a bother, stupid, or an inconvenience to them. This is not how any business should operate.
Judith Smith: My father had an abscess on his leg went to see Dr. Amato on a Tuesday he told my dad that he can’t do anything about it it’ll take care of itself but gave him some antibiotics and sent him home. By Sunday he was in urgent care with a severe infection. They had to I&D it without any anesthetic. Which was extremely painful! They packed it with a drain and told him to come back on Monday. On Monday they changed the packing and drain and told him to follow up with his dermatologist Dr. Amato. He called Dr. Amato‘s office and they refused to see him because they did Not perform the I&D. I got him into a new dermatologist that was more than happy to care for him. It’s a shame that this office does not feel responsible to care for their patients. If it had been handled appropriately in the beginning he wouldn’t have had to go to urgent care.
Brittany roberson: My entire immediate family has been seeing Dr. Amato since I was 5 years old and I am now 33. Throughout the years Dr. Amato has helped my family in multiple ways. He cleared up me and my brother's acne issues when we were teenagers. He discovered, diagnosed and removed my dad's skin cancer. My mother has an auto immune disease. About 5 years ago she developed a rash making her extremely itchy and uncomfortable that no doctor has been able to diagnose or cure. While that may be true, Dr. Amato has and continues to do anything to soothe the unbearable itchiness on top of continuing to look for a permanent relief. After Dr. Amato cleared up my acne, I had no reason to see him for some time. In my early 20's I began to grow deep wrinkles in my forehead making me look older than i actually was. About 2 years ago I noticed that one my girlfriends who typically had the same issue with her forehead was completely wrinkle free! Her results were intriguing so I asked her how she got rid of the wrinkles in her forehead and that's when she told me she had Botox done. The idea of Botox intimidated me because I did not want to look fake or if I noticeably had work done. After seeing her results I asked her for the doctor's information from where she got her treatment from and she told me it was Dr. Jason Amato!I was very nervous the first time getting Botox but Dr. Amato was very patient and explained the whole process beforehand. I couldn't have been happier with the results! Not only do I look like my actual age now but it made and continues to make me feel more confident and attractive. Everyone's body is different but for me personally, my Botox expectation have been lasting for around 6 months. YES Dr. Amato is awesome but he ALSO has an amazing staff that helps make it all happen. The girls working up front are always kind and welcoming.Though I LOVE the ENTIRE staff, I have to give a special shout out to Taylor who works directly side by side with Dr. Amato. Taylor has gone and continues to go beyond being accommodating to my questions or concerns I may have. This is truly a staff that cares about you and is willing to answer any questions one may have. This team is very unique in the fact that they are very personable. Instead of rushing you in and out, they take the time to make you feel like you're the only patient at that time. Since then, not only do my friend and I continue to get Botox from Dr. Amato, her mother and sister along with my boss are actually some of his newest patients and loves their results. Long story short, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Amato and his entire staff.

Epiphany Dermatology: what do users think?
jacob loyd: Great place , Jean, Becky , and Dr Braswell were awesome! Highly recommend!
Shawna: I was rushed in and out and the most I got was I’m not concerned about the things you are without an explanation. Also, questioned why I have to pay to send a cosmetic mole removal to pathology if they aren’t suspicious of it and was told they don’t throw anything away. Asked if it comes back cancer then do you change the coding? Response was no. Then do you want it or not? I said I would take it and they said sorry have another patient waiting. Also, high risk for cancers since I am on an immunosuppressant and wasn’t sure why my whole body wasn’t checked? Like my stomach was completely looked over. Went there before so I’m shocked at this experience. Will never go back.
Annette Lancaster: I went to the office in May and June to see Dr Adil. She was great. However, I have United Health care insurance, and I was told they take my insurance. They took the front and back copy of my card. I was told in November ish that my insurance was out of network. I am not a specialist of insurance and feel like the office should have taken some responsibility. I don't recommend them at all. Also, they were having phone problems in May and June, and still to this day, it is hard to get ahold of them.
Una: Every member of the staff at Epiphany Dermatology is extremely friendly and nice. (And, in my experience, that is unusual for a doctor's office.) Dr. Adil is very professional and thorough, and I recommend her as a dermatologist.I have been going to Epiphany Dermatology for many years, and I plan to go there for many years to come.
Lee Streett: Everything about my visit was good. The staff were very professional and pleasant and my visit with Dr McKee was very satisfactory.
Ekim Banocy: Always treated professionally and respectfully. Check up results are clear and questions are answered.Patient survery is terrible. Need to have a medical degree to answer.
Roger Wallis: The staff and Dr. Adil were very professional, answered it all my questions, and provided me the treatment I needed.
Veronica Galvin: Everyone was very nice at Dr. Adil office
Nicky Hogg: This is a top notch, professional office! From making an appointment for my teenage son online with ease, having it confirmed immediately, and the ability to see a Dr. within 2 weeks was absolutely refreshing. The office administrator at the front desk was lovely, friendly, happy and joyful and so was the sweet nurse who brought us back to the exam room. Dr McKee was wonderful. He was easy to talk to and was very engaging with my son and myself. I highly recommend this practice!
Janet Beverlin: I want them to be my primary doctor. They are very very nice
Kelly Cicerelli: Excellent care!
Dan Reardon: Helpful and friendly staff, easy scheduling, experienced providers. Highly recommend!
Gary Ruder: Great Experience. Easy to make an appointment within a reasonable time frame. Staff was courteous. Actually saw a doctor, instead of just a RN or PA. The appointment was on time. Dr. McGee was professional and addressed my issue promptly. Definitely recommend.
Scott Peterson: One of the best medical practices I have been too from the warm inviting atmosphere upon entering, the smiling face of whoever is their to check you in to the friendly and professional doctors there. Every employee you come across always has a smile and a greeting. Thank you to all!
Breyden Brumbaugh: Very helpful and informative group of people
Greg Warren: Great staff and doctors!
R S: Great place super clean. All the staff seem great at there jobs. Very nice smart doctor
Kimmie Pacatte: Prompt excellent care by Dr. Adil.
Jill Gatcombe: Dr . Adil completed a body scan and answered my questions. She removed something from my face with care. She was prompt and on time. She has a great “bedside” manner!
Dave Payne: Dr. McKee is the most knowledgeable dermatologist I know of. His vast experience provides him the knowledge to diagnose the most rare skin issues.
Karen M Coggan: The staff welcomed me warmly and made me feel comfortable, and Dr. McKee has a soft-spoken manner that I’ve come to appreciate greatly, because there is often a concerning area. He allays any of my fears, sometimes with that dry sense of humor of his!

Dr. Lynn Anne Cornelius, MD: what do users think?
Cindy Logsdon: Dr. Cornelius is very attentive and thorough. She is also very personable and great at teaching for understanding. I highly recommend her for the care she gives.
barbara dimartini: Dr Cornelius actually listened to my concerns and carefully examined every mark, mole an discoloration on my shin. When I left her office, I was confident that if there were anything questionable on my skin, she would have spotted it. She’s a top notch Doc!
Bill Brown: Dr. Lynn is a true physician; not a simple " health care provider". Her competency and genuine interest in her patients is remarkable and rare. This is most unusual; I feel better when leaving her office than when I entered.
P Blair: Been her patient for over 10 years, you can't find a more compassionate doctor and the whole staff is great especially her right hand nurse.
