Had no idea what to expect or that our dance studio requires specific styles of shoes etc. I was completely unprepared but they were not. They had all the information needed for my little dancer with our studio requirements within seconds. They took their time with not just my dancer but each little dancer there with their fitting. We live in Wichita Kansas and have been desperate to find the pointe shoes that my daughter wears. The shoes we were looking for are no longer being made so they have been impossible to find, ALMOST. I started calling stores and just happened to call St. Louis Dancewear and spoke to Sarah. She was so nice, incredibly knowledgeable, professional and so helpful. Sarah didn't have the shoes in her store, but that didn't stop her from helping us. She got in contact with other dance stores and found us a pair of shoes in Bellevue Washington. We live out of state and it is unlikely that we will ever be in this store. That we weren't one of her customers and unlikely to be in the future didn't matter to Sarah, she still went out of her way to help us. She accomplished what we could never have done on our own. She used her connections to help a girl in another state. Customer service like this is rare and we are so grateful!! We cannot thank Sarah enough and if we are ever anywhere near St. Louis we will be stopping in to St. Louis Dancewear to thank Sarah personally and to buy something from a truly AWESOME store with the BEST customer service!! Elizabeth Knocke: I just visited the Dance Bag about a half hour ago on my lunch break because I needed to pick up toe spacers. I'm not a dancer, but my feet are awful and the spacers really help to take the pain away. The lady that was working at the time (I'm afraid I didn't catch her name) was truly wonderful. She made a normal, run of the mill shopping trip into something awesome. Right from the start, she was welcoming and when I explained what I was looking for, she took me right over to the spacers and started explaining about them and the difference between other versions I might have had or seen. She also told me about the soft lining that one can purchase that some of the girls use. Since I was used to the feeling of spacers, I didn't go for that option but I'm glad she brought it up for future reference. Anyway, I had never been there before but since I'll more than likely be needing spacers again, I'll definitely be back. Thanks a lot!

Justin Mueller: My coworker went and picked up a grinch costume that I paid $40 for. It is the deluxe version and honestly it is horrible. We were told the pants and hands were furry, they are not. The pants don’t even match the color of the fur on the mask. I could have purchased something on Amazon for cheaper that looked better. Very disappointed and embarrassed to even wear it at our school event today.People were nice she said, but unfortunately the costume left a lot to be desired. Tried to save a little by renting instead of buying a good $100 costume. Wish I would have just gotten the good one rather than thinking this was good.I do have to say we also rented a Beast from Beauty and the Beast and it was great.

Mrs Dynasty: The owner and mother were very nice. My daughter and I had a great experience until the the mother asked if I had a weave because my hair is long. She was very nice and sweet, but asking a complete stranger if they are wearing fake hair on the basis of skin color is very inappropriate. She is older and I had my daughter, so I didn't want any negative encounter, so I smiled through me being offended. So in the future, if a black person has long hair, if you like it, I recommend saying "I like your hair." If you don't like it, please don't say anything. But please don't ask if we are wearing weave. We just want to shop in peace. It may be unintentional, but its still a microaggression that ruins our whole experience. I would never go up to a stranger whose smile I liked and ask, "are those fake teeth/dentures?" It's rude.
