Kitchen Conservatory: what do users think?
dede catsavis: lame class on vegetables. the instructor spent time talking about who the participants were and their favorite vegetable instead of actually teaching us anything. then she was totally disorganized and basically said - here's a bunch or vegetables cook them however you want. it was total disorganization. no one knew what to make or how to do it. nothing was handled professionally and orderly. waste of time. and money. fortunately, my brother took charge of the class and we were able to finish some dishes and actually eat.
Angela Oshea: Audrey's dishes were amazing for Girls Night. Thank you for treating us like Italian royalty!
Lisa frick: Sushi class with John was lots of fun!
Meg Zoellner: Excellent place to find kitchen gadgets and cooking supplies. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've taken two cooking classes there (so far) and really enjoyed both. The number and variety of classes offered is awesome, but they seem to fill up quickly.
Colleen Piel: I've been to 2 cooking classes here, both with Mickey as the teacher, and really enjoyed them. I am not an experienced cook so I learned a lot each time and helped make recipes I never would have attempted alone. My husband is a great cook and he learned some new tricks, too. I like how we split into groups and each makes a recipe, but we still get to see what everyone else is doing, try everything at the end, and bring home all the recipes. If you are looking to learn some new skills, break out of your comfort zone, and have fun, try their classes.
Cindi James: Went for our 1st couples hands-on experience. Enjoyed great food while learning how to become better chefs. Advanced reservations are required. Very easy to register online and pay for class in advance.
Rachel Wineinger: Fun class, great shop!
Liz McDermott: BE WARNED. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET A COOKING CLASS. You are going to overpay to participate in a group project with strangers. You will only enjoy it if you enjoy food that's been touched by 15 strangers and do not want to learn any cooking skills. It is not at all as advertised. Please save your money.
Yeunju Lee: I am so mad at how they treat customers.Never send me payment confirmation via text or email.Never send me class schedule after payment. No text, No email. And when I called them to confirm my schedule they answered they do not have my information.1. Tried to pay with my credit card which i use everywhere did not work on this website.2. I called to pay for my class with my credit card.3. They did not send me any text or confirmation email about payment. Which is VERY WEIRD.4. I called them to check my class schedule. All they said to me was I cannot find your information. (I had a receipt of payment)5. I called them four times (once a day) all staff was saying" I will call you back" and no one called me back. I was not mad at them until my fourth call.6. I called them (my fourth) and asked the same question. and they said the owner will call me tomorrow. I said yes.7. The owner did not call me as well. What a VERY wonderful Cooking Institute it is!!!!!!!* Never send me text or email about payment confirmation* Never send me Class schedule after payment* Never find my info on their system.* Never call me back after my simple question.Period!
Jeff McManemy: This business is no longer on my list of places to learn and enjoy cooking classes. I have attended classes before and very much enjoyed the class and atmosphere. Yesterday (last night) a notification was received my mother in law is dying. I attempted to call to leave message this morning but to no avail this business does not have call message system. When able to reach out today, I spoke with a person named Melissa and the owner named Ann Koury. I provided explanation as to the circumstances and asked for a credit to be applied or given to the person I was attending with for this course. BOTH WERE DENIED. As to why, Ann Koury said it was not "COURTEOUS TO THE INSTRUCTORS". I asked her as how unforeseen death in family was discourteous. She would not answer and kept citing policy for cancellation. I also offered to provide documentation from the hospital to verify the validity of my request. Request not accepted. My recommendation--DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS.
Ashley Farmer: Worst experience I’ve ever had! Absolutely never again, please go elsewhere!
Greg P: Rude
Ryan Liberati: Always a quality experience!
Rh M: I was severely injured in a freak accident about 8 weeks prior to the class that I already had paid for. I had 3 surgeries, am using a walker, am unable to transport myself anywhere due to my leg injury, and being in severe/unpredictable intermittent pain unfortunately had to try to reschedule the day of the class. The owner of this place WOULD NOT work with me whatsoever on booking us for another class or returning my money. I understand that it isn’t always in good taste to cancel day of, but my circumstances are not normal circumstances. You’d think with all the disproportionately bad to good Yelp and Google reviews this place has the owner would want to work with a returning customer versus essentially stealing $130 from me over $130 she may or may not have made four months down the road in October when an alternative class was available. Every time I’ve been in this place not only have I taken a class, I’ve bought no less than $100 worth of merchandise as well. Their loss. We will never go back.
Mary Tichy: Such a great evening. Why just go to dinner? Go here, learn about cooking (or baking), meet other people and eat delicious food! This is my new favorite place and I'm going to be asking for gift cards so I can take A LOT of their various classes.
Scott Richards: Never again. Their website is trash. Bought my mom a class for Mother's Day. Since i had fun at a class u I brought my wife to. Bought a certificate for 2 people. But somehow bought 5 due to the terrible website they have. I called them the day of realizing the mistake and they offered no refund or credit. They told me I should come. Well I am awaiting a Covid test currently. So don't want to give anyone Covid. Terrible way to run a business. I realize I should have seen the money come out of my account. But offering no refund or credit is insane and just bad business practice
Scott Howze: Always a wonderful time, the menu is great and the staff are first class. I highly recommend the Kitchen Conservatory.
Corryn Thompson: I had signed my daughter up for their junior chef apprentice cooking class months ago as birthday present and due to COVID exposure we were unable to make the class. When I called to ask if we could switch to another class at a later date they said there was nothing they could do and they refused to issue a refund or exchange for a later date. At no point was the lady I spoke with willing to offer any assistance, she simply just told me we can't do anything for you. I understand having a policy for cancellations but when there is literal pandemic you would think they would be more understanding and offer some support. I am really disappointed with their lack of customer service. It is too bad because I had taken a class their before and it was great but because of this experience we will not be returning.
Leslie E. Sekerka: Very thoughtful customer support, which was deeply valued and appreciated.
Travis Richardson: The classes are a fun experience. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy cooking, eating, and a little teamwork. The shop also has everything a professional or home cook needs.
Eddie Bolls: Always a great time

ABC Chefs Cooking Academy: what do users think?
Sierra Mitchell: Positive:Quality
David True: If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. We signed our daughter up for the ABC cooking camp for the week of 6/14/21. They charged us the full $275 in April. We had not received any communication since April so we found that to be odd.My wife took our daughter to Chesterfield mall on 6/14 when the camp was to begin and the doors were locked and no one around. My wife went on their website to see they closed for 2021. Why wouldn’t they email those who planned to attend? Also, they didn’t refund our money. My wife tried to contact them via phone and email until 6/16 and no response. So, I just had to ask for a favor from my credit card company since I had to file a fraud dispute since I’m outside the 60 day fraud dispute window for them to honor the dispute. Luckily, I’ve been a client for a long time with a good track record and they honored my request to start a dispute.Disgusting…how can someone run a company this way in today’s world?!?! Well, obviously they don’t and it’s a scam since it’s closed.
Melissa Swank: Both of my kids (7, almost 8; 5 almost 6) LOVED this camp. They came home each day raving about what they made, and the older one keeps asking to cook dinner! What a fantastic way to get kids into the kitchen and excited about learning to prepare food as well as understanding how real food ingredients turn into meals!
Bill Feist: My ten year old boy loves this place.
Elizabeth Bauer: I love ABC Chefs Academy! The campers have a great time. The counselors make it a fun experience for the kids. The campers make many recipes a day and eat each one after they make it. It is very hands on with a lot of positive energy. ABC is a great place to be!
Sarah Laurentius: I LOVE ABC Chefs, but my kiddo loves it even more. The staff is just awesome!
Missy Lawler: My kids had a great time at ABC, the staff was always so patient and fun. I loved how they made everything from scratch and would come home every week excited to make dinner for the family. I was also very pleased that they were able to accommodate my son even though he has severe nut allergies! Thumbs Up ABC Chefs:)
kiki: I loved every part of what ABC Chefs Cooking Academy had to offer! I didn't have to do anything, but pay...and it was worth every penny! I didn't have to buy invitations, decorations, or even a cake. They took care of EVERYTHING!My daughter celebrated her 6th birthday with her classmates. They did the pajama party breakfast cooking class and it was a blast! The music playing in the background was so upbeat and the girls had fun dancing around. It was held at Whole Foods and the room was so nice, clean and modern with a beautiful view of the fountains out the window. This was by far the best birthday party I've thrown or been to. Even one of the mom's commented on how I set the bar high with this one!Thank you so much for a fabulous and memorable time! We loved it!
Edward Crenshaw: I scheduled a party for my daughters 6th Birthday party. The venue where it was held, was dirty, the chairs had paint on them. The children were not allowed to mix their own ingredients; they had to mix together in one bowl. There was no kitchen; there were 2 waffle makers and 1 burner. Our party cost us $350.00 for a PJ Party. My daughter and her 5 friends mixed some Bisquick and cracked a dozen eggs and cut up bananas. We were promised the birthday girl to make her own waffle, eggs, bacon and fruit kabobs, an apron & chef’s hat and the recipe of what she made. My daughter received nothing but a goodie bag with about 8 pieces of small candy and that's it. The instructor left before the party was over and the venue was not kid friendly and very unclean. The instructor nor her staff used any gloves while they handled the food. If you want to be a sucker like my husband and I was and have $350.00 to throw away on a party, then this is your place. I wouldn't recommend you paying your money for the horrible customer service provided by Ms. Faronda Davis, the lead instructor. It was absolutely horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sumner Mahaffey: My son attends the ABC Chefs Cooking Academy summer camp and absolutely loves it. When he comes home, he won't stop talking about it! He says the staff is very friendly and fun and there's something new every day. Each week there's a different theme and the kids cook food from all around the world--the other day they made Penne Rosa pasta from scratch! Our son loves the food and the people and he looks forward to going everyday. What a fun experience! Great value.

Shari Whay, St. Louis Realtor: In the mood to do something a little different? Kitchen Social in Chesterfield is something to consider. We made Thai Food and all recipes we made were good. The chef, was very sweet, the facility is very clean and organized. You need to plan ahead, the classes fill up fast!
Keith Katashuk: Couldn't have been any better. The food was great and they make it all about the customer from the moment you walk in until you leave. You never have to leave your seat for anything and they clean up/prep for you along the way. The BYOB saves you a lot of money on drinks that you'd normally have to pay top dollar for at a restaurant that served food this good.
Carmen Verbeke: Came here with my fiancé. Food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the chefs were so kind! Will definitely be back.
candyi W: I surprised my boyfriend for his bday. We had an awesome time. The food and staff was amazing! I would recommend and we'll definitely be returning. What a great experience. Well worth the price.

Christina Mason: Fantastic night out with friends thanks to Chef Tony!! Everything was fun, well organized/prepped, easy to follow along and easy to cook. We were walked through every step of how to make our meal and took home the recipes at the end of the evening. Our meal was delicious!! BYOB was a plus, especially with Kitchen Social having all the glassware available.I would highly recommend for a date night or even an outing with the kids. Our girls can't wait to sign up for a kids only class.
J Dumont: Chef Tony was a great instructor. He was patient and kind. The dessert and pasta making was the best. No pressure, just fun for a date night or with family.
Izzy Litwack: We had a really fun cooking class!! Super impressed by how seamless it was, and every step of the way the assist came and dropped off the ingredients we needed and cleaned up our mess. Would definitely try again.
sonny S: Went here for a date night and was throughly pleased with the space, chef, and our food. As someone that doesn't cook too often, the instructions were clear and I was able to ask questions freely to the staff. Our meals turned out great, and we're excited to try this at home. It was great experience as a couple, but I'm sure it's even better with a group of friends or family members. We'll definitely come back for another class!
Alice Hoette: My kids both loved the kids' summer camp! They liked the independence and responsibility they gained from the experience, and I loved eating the leftovers for lunch each day!The recipes were delicious and not dumbed down for kids - they really learned technique and how to build flavors! The burger, lasagna roll-ups, marinara, Italian dressing and blueberry cobbler recipes were the favorites. My kids thought that the instructors were kind, patient, and really chatty in a great way - they felt like the instructors got to know them and enjoyed talking with them. Will definitely be signing up again!
Tracy Ray: Fun class! I like how every 2 people have their own cooking station. Byob is nice too!
Sarah Song: So great! Such an amazing experience! Quantity and quality experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun cooking experience. The food is so yumm!!!
