Khloé: I wasn’t going to say anything, but now I am. I come here, cookies are always out, I was once overcharged AND given the wrong order. Now, I literally walk there at midnight when they close at 1:00. She first tells me they aren’t serving ice cream anymore… um, it’s an HOUR before close. The ice cream tubs were still sitting out in servable condition right in front of customers faces. All she had to do was scoop it. Then I tell her I’ll just take a cookie. I hand her cash and she says they don’t take cash when I’ve literally paid in cash before. I was such an inconvenience after I walked through the night alone as a woman because I was craving some ice cream. The least she could have done is been apolegetic about such an inconvenience. CWE is supposed to be more upscale but service is just as bad as the rest of Saint Louis.

The only issue we had was from the security personnel at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis not notifying recipient's mother of arrival which caused the ice cream to melt before my grandsons mom realized what had happened. Initially we walked out because who wants to be greeted like that but then decided 20 minutes wasn’t that bad. When we got to the register the person working said “it’ll be a 20 minute wait so you might as well go somewhere else”. We then asked what cookies were already ready, and turns out there wasn’t a wait at all for the particular cookies we wanted. Never patronizing this location again.

Annette Edwards: I’m in New Jersey and I ordered 2 dozen variety, individually wrapped cookies to be delivered to my sister who was hospitalised in Barnes hospital in St. Louis, MO after open heart surgery.I had no idea that the were going to be delivered by Door Dash. I received a call from the Door Dash driver who said he was in front of the hospital. I said I’m in New Jersey and my sister is a patient there at the hospital. On the order I had clearly put her name and hospital room number. I kindly asked the driver to drop them off at the person at the front desk. Ultimately, my sister did not get her cookies and the hospital had no indication that they were delivered.I reached out to Hot Box via email as this was the only route listed for contact regarding a problem. I have yet to be contacted.

Cody Cummings: Preface: I’ve only ever gone in to pick out my cookies, so I can’t speak to online order of delivery.I thought the cookies were really tasty! I had white chocolate macadamia, chocolate chunk and peanut butter.Their chocolate chunk cookies may seem like such a basic cookie, but it’s got a ton of chocolate and a great texture somewhere between chewy and crunchy. Definitely my favorite out of the group.

Alexander Davis: Don't come here. Come here only if you're a walk-up. I live close to here. Me and my girlfriend ordered something for pickup, and waited 2 hours. We called several times, and kept being told it would only be 15 minutes, waiting on a driver... I finally decided to walk to location.The place closes at midnight, I got there at 11:45 and lights were off. Knocked on the door and was dismissed by the employee saying nothing was there. Didn't even look at my confirmation number. I asked to speak with another coworker and got Stone walled, with "yeah sorry we were busy" we had been waiting for 2 hours...this was never expressed to us. I called corporate on way home and got full refund. Horrible location. Expect 0 customer service. This place is only worth it if you live on Washington Ave and can walk up. Super disappointing, enjoy product at other locations. If you order here, get ready to ask for a refund, save your order # and email.

I would just assume go to the store and buy store cookies for $5 that probably come with more and taste better personally.

Mike L: The fact that the cookies here are delicious is the only positive I can give. The service received was rude, unnecessary, and absolutely unwarranted. The manager was unhappy to have to make cookies, made a scene. Upon waiting patiently for our order, the newly prepared cookies were placed in the window and dispersed for sale to other customers. Asking about our order, the manager became upset to have to make another batch to fulfill our order. Once we finally had our order and sat to eat, I noticed the manager staring in our direction and point us out to an employee. This was completely out of character for management. There was no rude words or actions on our part before, during, or after placing our order. I understand people have bad days, but this was uncalled for.

Tina Anderson: I was at this business for the first time on 7/18/2020. The young lady at the register (I believe her name was Marly) was waiting on a customer in front of me and another worker I believe her name was Mandy came in and started pulling trays of cookies to put together a box or two of orders I believe. When I saw her take the tray of peanut butter cookies I asked the young lady at the register if I could just have one of them and I wanted a couple other cookies that she didn't take. Marly asked her and from the expression on her face it was an unpleasant "no". She didn't seem to care that she had a customer right there who wanted one of the cookies she was putting together. It appeared that she was putting a mixture of cookies together for a box. She didn't appear to have a good attitude. The young lady at the register was very nice and pleasant and apologized. I felt it was rude of Mandy to do what she did. She was very inconsiderate.

I put in an online order and had to spend $15+ to place the order so I got way more than I needed. Waited 10 minutes for them to put the cookies in a box and hand to me. Got them and they are definitely not fresh. All of them are hard like they were made yesterday. Now I’m stuck with a dozen day old cookies.. Very disappointed considering Hot is in the name..
DI ME: Placed two different orders with the same problem. All I can say is they must forgot time or somewent back cause they leaving these cookies in too long 🤦🏾♀️
Amanda Murphy: Cookies are good, but nothing that blows me away. I like that they are open until midnight, but I think 1.75 per cookie is a little pricey for a small cookie.
