Eric Wilkinson: I had an appointment for a guy, Kevin, to come out and give me a quote. 30 minutes after the appointment time I called the company to see where he was. They said they would "try to send a message to him." After another 30 minutes passed I called the company to let them know I still had not heard anything. I let them know it was uncool to not show up without a call. Now 3 days later I still haven't heard from Kevin or anyone else at this company. I took off work to meet this guy and he never showed up. Pure shade and a poor way to treat potential customers. I have no idea how this company is in business.

m v: This use to be a great company. Till Sam Vitali retired. Sam was a true leader.Now the brother left with the company does not value his employees. I’ve seen numerous long time employees getting let go or being treated unfairly. This company also operates a lot of things under the table. Lots of workers are not union members and are still knowingly being employed. They advertise what a great place to work to be part of a team but when it comes to backing up your team, they will not. Their number one problem is one of the head people Mike Startar . This boss is all about him and nothing about his employees. Don’t be fooled by the advertisement they are one of the largest companies around yes but don’t care very much about the employees!

I did call them because my brand new student driver and I got in a traffic jam, we needed to change lanes to get in our neighborhood and nobody would let us over and he was too nervous to be aggressive about it. Finally a driver from this company let us over, gave him lots of room and a wave! Thanks unknown driver!

Dale Schaffter: This review is based on the Tilt-up Division. Hands down the worst place to work. Non-Union labor on Union sites. The buildings are basic and the talent is weak. Safety program is non-existent. Quality is lacking due to short deadlines. Everyone complains about the company or other employees affecting morale. No advancement opportunities unless you are related to someone or a close personal friend. Would highly advise against working here unless you're an apprentice trying to learn the trade.

Much of our north and east side basement walls needed tuck pointing after several drenching downpours brought water into our basement from various places in the old tuck pointing. The basement is dry now! Besides making sure that the tuck pointing was done professionally and with great care to do it right, I could tell that Steve was interested in making the tuck pointing look like a piece of artistic sculpting. You can see for yourself in the photos.
Mary Manganaro: I needed to have my front porch tuckpointed, in particular, the west wall where the mortar was loose in several places. Steve rebuilt the wall inside and out from the ground up and tuckpointed the rest of the porch where needed.Tjis included re setting the window. He and his assistant Brent were very knowledgeable and conscientious in their work. Steve took great care to make sure he matched the existing mortar. The wall was built very solidly, and the mortar matched well.
Margaret McGraw: The work that Steve did looks good and he kept me informed each step or the process. I’m very happy with the results.

Donna McEvoy: This crew was extremely friendly and addressed all my needs ! The quality of work was super , they worked on my limestone steps . They removed all the mortar and stones cleaned everything and than put it all back together! The top of my porch needs the mortar removed and redone , with the quality of work done on my steps, they are coming back in the spring to do the top of my porch! If you want it done right give them a call!!!!

Stephen Fahrig: I cannot recommend Steve Porter and his team highly enough. When our home experienced some serious damage after the torrential rains of July 26, we discovered that our chimney was in terrible shape, leaking and needing to be replaced. Steve came out right away to tarp the chimney and protect us from further damage while we were waiting for him to start the rebuilding project. Within days he and his crew were hard at work doing the rebuilding of the chimney and replacing a section of our roof. They did an outstanding job with the rebuild, as the before and after pictures attest. Steve and his workmen were also very conscientious and respectful of our property, carefully cleaning up their materials after each day’s work and hosing down our driveway and patio. When we got another rain as the project was underway, Steve took time to give us a call to make sure we were dry. I definitely plan to use his services when we need more roof work done. Excellent job!

Michael Kocher: I considered two other bids before I chose Porter Tuckpointing to re-lay bricks and tuckpoint a wall on my building. The workers were fast, and very considerate at every step of the operation. The building is located in Dogtown's commercial section (Clayton and Tamm), an area visible to many passers by. During the time Porter and his crew were working on my building, two of my neighbors and one employee showed an interest in Porter doing work for them.Steve Porter shows an admirable level of craftsmanship and attention to detail. The color matching of the mortar is perfect. The section that Porter Tuckpointing worked on is now the best looking part of my building.Edit: It looks like Porter's work has withstood the test of time. Other cheaper tuckpointers wanted to just put on some mortar without scraping out the old stuff. Pay enough to have it done right.

It was a busy time I guess for concrete guys - no one but Kopps would even come out to give me a bid. Kopps did and subsequently did the work - 20 years later it still looks great. The price also seemed reasonable. I also have only heard good things about them
Byron: I am very pleased with my experience with Kopp Concrete. They squeezed me in at the end of last year with limited lead time. My project consisted of adding a lane to our driveway in one day - prep, form, pour, and finish. Their price was one of the most competitive that I received. All workers were pleasant and professional. I will use Kopp for my future concrete work.
