I want help getting the new system up and running (which includes transferring files and cleaning up directories). I want coaching as to best operational practices.I have been an Apple/Mac guy since the mid-80's. I still am but when the Apple Stores dropped their genius bars the services I listed above went away. Apples On Line and Phone assistance remains the best but the Apple Stores are little more than showrooms now with a sales staff.Other places sell Apples/Macs but the competency of their staffs is always questionable. Several of the more trustworthy companies are long gone.I got all the help I asked for at Computer Solutions. More importantly one of their staff spent significant time with me identifying my needs and then guided me through the options that would address those needs.I was up and running with a MacBook Air in less that 24 hours after a short afternoon at their shop working with that same staff member who quickly brought the new computer AND me up to speed.That staff member, Andrew Bader, guided me SO Well! This has been the best experience with a new computer that I have ever had.A bonus.....he helped me clean up my old computer making it an ongoing asset.I will go to them for all of my computer needs. Unfortunately, Apples are such good machines that they last for a long time so my future business with Computer Solutions is likely limited BUT I can recommend them to others for overall excellence.

I realize I have no legal recourse , so probably my loss,I called them and the answer I got was tough luck you didn’t catch it in time.This company has no integrity, stay clear of them.

Bill Gruen: I feel very fortunate to be working at Acropolis. My colleagues and management are great! We're eager to help each other when called. Work here is fast paced, and never dull. We have great clients, and I really love the fact we're a St Louis firm performing a service to regional firms, and beyond.
Kelly Flaherty: As a small business owner I reached out to Acropolis to inquire about assistance with my Technology needs. The company receptionist took my information and said they would contact me. Someone from Acropolis contacted me and left me a message because I was in a meeting when they called. I promptly called them back and then never again heard back from them. I then contacted Acropolis again and requested that one of the owner's contact me and I left a message with Mr. Butler and have not received a call back. If they are unable to contact you back to discuss a possible new customer I do not believe that they would be reliable if we were a customer and needed assistance with our technology needs.

In a recent experience, for some reason I couldn't connect to the company's VPN. I called and my wait time was 1 min. Then once Caitlyn (I am not sure if I did spelling correctly) answered, she was friendly and efficient. She helped me resolve my issue in 3min. I can be very impatient with technology especially when I just want things to work the way I expect them to (I guess who doesn't😅) so having someone friendly who also knows how to resolve my issues is awesome.The times I've needed assistance before someone named Brian (again, not sure if I used the correct spelling) has also given great quality service and help. Simple repair took way too long, they have horrible communication, and I ended up having to bring my device back in because the first repair did not work and had to be charged again for the same repair. Alice Prince: They are the best! I have never worked with a better computer tech company. This company diagnose my issue and fixed it. It was complicated but he solved my problem. I am a small business. Nestor is officially our new IT department. He went above and beyond the call of duty. He worked after hours to ensure I was up and running.

Berkeley Souza: South City Computer site had an easy to use ticket system, he got back to me quickly, was flexible in scheduling and definitely showed concern for transparency as he made a point to walk me through each step to make sure i understood what was happening.Will use again, for sure.
Michael Davis: Took in my wife's computer that was running really slow and freezing up. South City tested the computer, backed up all the files, installed a new hard drive and re-installed the files quickly and at a great price. Will definitely use again if computer repairs are needed.

Stephen Wall-Smith: A year or so back, I bought two Dell laptops, one for Missouri and one to leave in Florida, where we visit often. Unfortunately, both turned out to be glacially slow -- I mean, worse than MS-DOS slow. Booting up was a 10-minute process, and don't even ask about opening a browser and trying to pull a site up. I sent both of the laptops back to Dell on warranty a couple of times, and they always came back as slow as ever.In desperation, I took them to South City to be reformatted with Ubuntu, something Nestor had done with an old Windows 7 computer a few years back. It wasn't a perfect solution for my purposes, but Windows 10 wasn't ever going to work. Half a loaf, and all that.Or so I thought. Nestor figured out that the problem was not the OS at all, or (my vote) the processor, it was the hard drive. He replaced the hard drive, and voila, working laptop.Why Dell couldn't figure any of this out remains a mystery. But kudos to SCC.
Todd Evans: Positive:ProfessionalismMy daughter damaged the screen to her laptop. It needed a new one. They repaired it like it was brand new. It took a while for the part to come in - COVID, but once the part arrived the repair was made that day and I picked it up the next. The charge for service seemed very reasonable.
Urban Kayak: Store hours are not reliable, someone may or may not be there. Will take several days for them to respond to messages. As of writing this their website is broken. Do you want to use a computer repair service that isn't computer savvy enough to maintain a proper website? Wasn't even able to drop off my laptop because nobody was at the store. They have a shady store entrance in the back of the building even though there is a front door. Much easier to ship off my laptop for repairs instead.
Louise Ricketts: I was hoping to have a good experience, because I'd much rather support a local business than Best Buy's Greek Squad. I'm not saying "don't go there", because if you've got the time and money, then I bet it's a great service.I found their pricing to be high and not transparent. Also they're only available during odd hours. I don't care for the "pay first then we'll service you" model. I was charged a $20 cleaning fee, I understand why they clean the computer--because people are gross, BUT let me know that you're going to charge me that.Also, reading the owner's responses to other people's reviews--he sounds like a total jerk.Having a mean man run a business, makes for a bad business.Kindness, understanding, and being flexible with customers isn't hard. It just requires patience.
