Apotheosis Comics & Lounge: what do users think?
Gregory Robinson: Love this comic shop. They are diversified that comics are amazing they're displaced they're Figurines are amazing the associates are awesome left a collection of comic books with them as they buy and sell comic books so hopefully I'll make. A little money and I'll enjoy my collection
ray: Asked if they had any Batman/Riddler related things and they brought a whole bunch of cool costumes up from the basement. I was able to snag a Batman mask which will be really fun as I also have Paul Dano's Riddler mask. They also threw in a couple of free comics!
Crystal Brown: The owner here is so cool and his shop is packed with wonderful goods! Thank you all for an amazing #freecomicbookday2023 !
Charles VanWinkle: Comic Book Day 2023! Martin and the awesome staff outdid themselves! Robert Vendetti signed my Superman '78 and then signed a Superman/Green Lantern book for my son! Memories made we are grateful to have a great comic shop so close. KUDOS!
Annie Lehrer: Such an amazing place. Great selection. Knowledgeable staff. Super fun neighborhood spot.
Gabe Bramlett: The owner Martin is not to be trusted. The true definition of grifter
John O'Daniel: They are a restaurant and have a couple arcade games in the back but have nothing to do with comics which was a real disappointment.
Michael Roberts: Great customer service
Amber Brown: Great atmosphere and nice staff. Loved their staff selections!
AYE-1 DV: This is a good spot to buy comics in the city! Enuff said!
Jamie Maupin: Top tier service all around. Lots of deals, great selection, and awesome environment. Staff created a very inclusive environment. Definitely will go back.
Kris Lugosi: I heart Jamie and his knowledge and recommendations. Martin is just a joy and Becky is the sweetest. Every third Thursday of the month my friends and I super look forward to their Comicbook Book Bookclub. Tis the best.
Jess Tabb: I went when they said they would be open until 8 after school on 11/11 with my son but they decided to close at 4PM with a hand written sign.Really annoying because he was really looking forward to looking through the comics here.I guess I’ll go to GameStop instead - I wish I could support local but at least their times are reliable.Willing to update to a better review if things improve.
NELUX GROUP: Great prople ...great fun
Anderson Steele: Cool picks. Good deals.
Lynn Venhaus: Such a treasure trove and knowledgeable, friendly staff!
Orb Hebenstreit: Great store. It's a little small but it's nice and in a cool area.
Taylor FireFlame: Good staff, good comics. We couldn't find much Hellboy but they had a lot of other great selection. A lot of stuff I've never seen in other places.
Madison Stewart: As an independent traveler in STL, Apotheosis welcomed me in with open arms. I was greeted by the wonderful Rosie, who is one of the kindest humans I could have met on my trip. Rosie and Juan (both previous employees at the comic shop) took a complete stranger under their wing and played games with me. I did, however, meet Martin (owner/manager) who did not respect the pronouns of his employees and fired Juan after making outrageous accusations. While I was in the shop Martin spent most of his time hovering over his employees and talking to people outside of the shop. This review gets 3 stars due to Rosie and Juan who made my trip to STL worth it. Management really needs to rethink how they treat people or they will start to lose business.
Ruinous Power: Comic shop but little else. Not bad and the staff member was cool.
Ridge Burrell: The guys were very friendly and made some suggestions for comics that were up my reading alley since I'm new to the comic world. Doesn't hurt they have a decent selection of beers to choose from.

Callisto Comics & Stories: what do users think?
Christian Feinberg: Very neat comic book store. Great selection, and fair prices.
Dan Whitehead: Great store, very knowledgable
A. Scott Samson: Cute little shop. Charming.
Jerry Sullivan: I was riding my motorcycle around St Louis and discovered this little comic shop and tot surprise in the dollar bin there was Frankenstein and deadman comics, witch I was really excited for but the only thing I noticed is the graphic novel selection is limited
B F: Nice little comic store.
j doe: Great little place. The owner is super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning.
Postal Sage: Great
John Silwanus: The shop is a bit small, but the owner is really friendly and willing to help. We love Dutchtown and this shop is here. Great shop for those new to comics and those who know the scene well. Definitely worth your time to check it out.
John Love: Finally a comic bookshop closer to home, nice, ive read 4,000 tradepaperback comic books, and hundreds more comics, theres a Library of comics with more than 7,000 comics says he'll stop by St Louis on a tour for me some time, great!
Timothy Gartin: Terrible hours, difficult to find
Quinton Slay: I was walking in my neighborhood when I ran into this little shop. Harley Quinn and Groot caught my attention as they were hanging out in the window.I decided to go inside because the barbershop next door was not open yet. I met the guy and he was super cool and really helpful in my search of a comic book. I told him I like Marvel and away we went. I ended up with the new Captain America #1 so I am pretty excited to follow this story arc. I was also informed that a new spiderman comes out soon I will be back. This story might be my new weekend spot to visit and I already cant wait for Saturday morning!

All American Collectibles: what do users think?
Shawn Baybo (Toast Sweat): Friendly staff, lots of comics. A fun little place.
Chris Saala: Nice shop, will definitely return, nice staff.
Ken Gravitz: Dave is amazing and so is his shop and staff! He helped me score one of my personal grails today. And he regularly looks out for me and presents me with books he knows I’m scouring for. He has a solid and ever changing back-stock selection and also has one of the best new comic selections in town. Thanks for all you do, sir.
bryan robinett: Great shop! Came here from out of town looking for back issues from '80s and '90s. I was not disappointed! The $1 bin goes down to 50 cents after you buy 30 comics. I walked out with a box. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommended!
Caleb Foster: Decent selection of new comics and back issues, not many good trade paper backs or hardcovers, heavy on the collectibles if you care about that. Super annoying clerk who I had to gesture towards the register to in addition to saying I was ready to checkout. He just stared at me blankly for a second then walked 5 feet to the register. Maybe I'm not the target demographic. I stocked up on some back issues of new books and will not be back again after my 2nd visit.
Jon Copeland: Great staff at this comic shop. Good prices on Magic the Gathering cards. Nice collection of comics.
Christopher Kutz: Nondescript from the outside, but tons of current and back issues inside. Great prices. Immediately bookmarked for future visits. Immediately in my top five comic shops.
Lorenzo Lizana: Best shop in St. Louis!
Daniel Conway: Awesome found some early Xmas gifts
Jason Nikolaisen: Great comic book experience. Has everything to offer for beginners up to collectors. You can also find TCG like Pokemon and Magic.
too tired: Very interesting place full of memorabilia! The owners are very knowledgeable and helpful!
Steven Moore: Shop was recommended to me by a collector. Looks like a small shop from the outside , but is quite spacious and packed full of comics , magic, pokemon , toys , pulp and more.David ( the owner ) was busy , but took time to answer all my questions and show me around the shop. He's very knowledgeable and enjoys his work .Will be going back soon !
KM314: Super friendly owner! Extremely knowledgeable on all things comics (various artists, stories and legends.) Amazing selection of new and old comics. Lots of variants and a great selection of graded comics. Also has a pretty big TCG offering (Magic, Pokémon, FAB) Don't forget to check out the backroom with various figures/toys.
Anderson Steele: Good variety and sweet prices. Knowledgeable Guru too.
Stacie Mitchell: This place is amazing! The staff was knowledgeable and consistent. They really went above and beyond to make sure my needs were exceeded! Thanks guys
julio's motivation: I love the sheer amount of variety this place has in both comics and magazines. They even have mochi if your an avid collector or just getting into the hobby all American has something for you.
Laura Neuman-Howe: Highly experienced, knowledgeable, kind, professional owner. They've been around for decades, so know their stuff, but still keep current.
MrDeathmetaldan: Always fun to go to the comic shop!
Dan Whitehead: For any type of store it does not get any better. The staff is professional, courtesy and responsive. The stock, new and vintage (golden and silver age) is a welcomed sight. Not to mention... but, they get collection from around the country to sell on consignment. They grade the comics perfectly (costistantly undergraded) and more than fair priced.Thank you for an awesome experience every time.
j doe: All-American is one of my favorite comic shops in STL. Dave really knows his stuff, and he and the rest of the crew always takes the time to say hi and see if he can help you with anything. A very welcoming atmosphere, a great selection of new books and back issues. If you're hitting comic shops in St Louis, make sure you add All-American to your list.
Ashlie Bock: Loved this place. Great hidden gem of cards and comics (including graded items) plus other collectables for the nerd in you. Prices were fair and the guy was friendly.

The Wizard's Wagon: what do users think?
Jackson Nick: They have discounted past issues which I shop and shop from. I definitely recommend the place. The workers are very nice and helpful. They also have boxes of comics you can buy upfront. Definitely my favorite place to shop for comic books.favoritethis is my favorite
Brendan Stroop-Bowes: They team went above and beyond for me! Ryan delivered thorough and kind customer service. Highly recommend!
Brandi Brown: Cool little shop, friendly staff, and neat stuff to look at and buy. Would recommend if you're into games and comics, and are in the area!
Alexandra Martin: I really love the place !! Lot of comics books, mangas and other stuff like that ! I'm new in STL and as a French girl who love manga, it's really great to have this place not far 😀 I will come back for sure !
Ashleigh Houlihan: Fun shop for nerds like me
KSSpam Account: This store is the original one. The review posted was for wizard wagon
John Dills: Walked into the store with the intent to buy roughly 100 dollars in store, Tommy, who was working the card section, looked at me, sat down Infront of me, and played a YouTube video very loud right Infront of me, didn't care I was standing right Infront of him, personal cards in hand ready to see if they had cards to buy, looked at him, and he just kept watching his videos and laughing, absolute disregard for their customers, I remember going to this shop back when they where in the middle of the loop, good people worked there, you'll only get ignored here, buyers beware, your better off going down the street to The Fantasy Shop, or even just waiting for your cards to come on TCG player, because apparently they don't want your money or wanna give you customer service, absolutely disgusting!
Jacob Manes: Walked in with my partner and he was ignored at the counter for the magic cards. Employee was watching videos on his laptop for a while and never acknowledged us. Go to Mythic Gaming for your TCG needs instead :/
Fate Jackson: Dope
Tony Corum: Nice little hobby shop me and my buddy stopped buy and got magic the gathering singles they had bunch of bored games and anime figures
Jake Howell: Great selection and an informed staff. Also, the best name for a comic shop I’ve ever seen.
Jon Parker: One of the best LGS' around.
Tristan Mackenzie: Went for a MTG sealed tournament. I was a little late, and it turned out I had purchased admission to a past event that was still listed on their website. Everything turned out fine. The atmosphere was a little dense with tables very close. Everyone seemed comfortable talking loudly and whenever. Definitely not a problem if that's what you're looking for, but I'm getting old and grumpy ;)
Megan Morrissey: Great selection of board games and staff is helpful and knowledgeable.
AYE-1 DV: I like this store...you should shop there too! I'd leave a three star review, but i have no complaints! Seems like they have a diverse selection of graphic novels!
The Gamefather: I went there looking for some Board Games. They don't have a huge selection, but there are a good list of releases and the regular games to be bought. Attendees are very nice and explain everything when you ask. Worth a visit.
January Johnson: This place is so cool. And the owner is so nice. I love it and all four of my sons do too.
jason merkel: Great place for comic books, statues and card games but doesn't stock much action figures.
Jose Di Paola: Fine selection, but I was not a fan of the atmosphere and community around the place. Felt very unwelcoming at their Magic nights.
James Bishop: My go-to comic shop. Great selection of comics, board games, model kits, etc. Highly recommend
Anthony Ibarra: Accessible entrance. The shop has a cozy feel, and there is still an impressive variety of manga and comics. Staff was super chill and friendly

Fantasy Shop - Maplewood: what do users think?
Corey Boyles: Great support staff, a very wide variety of games, and a fun environment. I drop by sometimes just to feel nostalgic and look at the new board games.
aron hill: The people who are working the store are beyond fantastic the atmosphere if amazing. With that being said if you want magic the gathering supplies and cards you should choose somewhere eles because the prices are way higher than other places! The only reason I gave 2 stars was because of the employees
Dan Arnold: Awesome staff!! Great selection.
Crystal Payne: Fantastic customer service! I really enjoyed the wide range of nerdy materials here! The store is super cute and cool. Convenient location and lots of parking. But the customer service was the best! The two salespeople running the store seemed like they had so much compassion and kindness to their customers and they were so helpful when I couldn’t get a figure I really wanted (at no extra cost)! Very much above and beyond.Thank you! We will be back. :)
Rebekah Zamarripa: Super friendly, welcoming, inclusive, and knowledgeable! 11/10 will visit again next time I'm in town.
Ethan Smallen: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Benjamin D: kid wanted to go here for warhammer stuff. Her sister was looking for a book that they didn't have. They called around to every other location to see if they had it. You don't see that much these days
SamuraiNola2021: I'm always looking for unusual card and board games for family nights and they have so many options to choose from.
Jessica Mills: Super friendly staff, and pretty much what I would expect out of a comic shop and gaming store.
Alex Zoller: Moved to Maplewood last May and I am so grateful we have a shop like this nearby. Everything is organized so well by publisher and alphabetically. It makes it very easy to find what you need, although someone has come up and greeted me every time I have come in to make sure I didn't need anything specific. Have be recommended so many great series. The staff is great you can tell they go the extra mile to make the shop fun and welcoming for us all. Strongly recommend for anyone looking for board games, comics, manga, mini figures, t-shirts, and even a section in the back for younger kids. Honestly, even if they don't have what you're looking for I bet it will be a great experience just going in. 👍
Samir Jain: Decent selection of board games here, friendly staff
Spencer Gould: They are super accommodating and have a great collection. I pick up all my paints and comics here. I even had an issue with some paints I purchased and they were willing to exchange them! Wonderful team!
Bernie Dippolito: I have some old comics and was looking for some advice on value and if I should get them graded. They were very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I also inquired about their Pokemon inventory and they have Pokemon games on Sunday in the store, a great spot to teach kids about the game.
Nubs: This place is has a lot of interesting items. Unusual Board games, some DND paraphernalia, and a good variety of comics- including some manga.
A. Scott Samson: Good staff. Good selection. Good times. Abby and Gabriel were both very friendly and helpful.
Kelsie: The staff was very friendly and even offered to have something brought over from one of the other stores. Very helpful very friendly. Sad that we don't live in the area or would make this store a regular visit.
Seth Lindsey: Still feel like I'm getting my feet wet in the comics arena, and both this and the South County location do a great job of making things accessible in a non-Comic Book Guy sort of way. Titles are organized alphabetically by publisher, then title. There's more than just comics here as well, with board games, paints, figurines, dice, and a whole lot more. The clerks are friendly and full of advice, there also seem to be a lot of extra events going on as well, make sure to keep up with them on Facebook.
Deric Panet-Raymond: Cool shop, friendly staff, great selection of board games, d&d figures, dice, comics and more.
Chris Hawk: Good staff here.
S R: Great selection of games and comic books. Friendly and helpful staff.
Brandon Hentze: Great place with a wide selection for comic fans. Their new release wall had everything I wanted. When I messaged looking for an issue I missed, they had it saved for me at the counter the next day! Highly recommended for the die-hard and casual comics afficiandos!
