gary deck: The money shop is loaded with every kind of currency you can think of. The staff are very knowledgeable and can explain the details around the different types. Many pieces date back to the 1800's. It's like walking through history. However, we actually went to take our grandson to the model train display. They have a very large layout with many trains running. There is so much detail you can walk around many times and still see something new. He enjoyed it so much he did not want to leave. I highly recommend stopping by on one of the Sundays they have it open.

I had dropped it into my silver liquid cleaner, and didn’t realize it’s not technically sterling silver so the liquid stripped it off the black antiqued look and dulled the silver tone.I had a nice sterling/turquoise ring I’d bought for my husband polished to a mirror shine (I didn’t realize when I ordered it off Etsy it has a “brushed” silver look/ think kitchen appliance brushed finish). After Denny’s work it was shiny and looked like a completely different ring.The work only took 4 or 5 days and the price blew me away! So fair and affordable.On a side note, we bought a short gold chain for a special heart pendant, to replace my overly long one. Nice quality and pennies compared to other jewelers!AND- since they have lots of estate fine jewelry for sale in their displays. We were not expecting to buy anything, just looked for fun like we had at Shane Co. We found a yellow gold ring with a genuine emerald center stone, surround by tiny diamonds that I tried on and fell in love with! The cost was so affordable, my husband insisted we buy it because it’s one of those really unique, one of a kind pieces you won’t find just anywhere. Easily a $3,000+ ring new at the big jewelry stores, and only a small fraction of that at Scotsman.Staff is friendly and helpful.I will come here for repairs and future purchases from now on!

The last time. and I do mean The Last time visiting Crestwood Coin and Jewelry, I asked about a previous 10 oz. silver bar purchase which was made with several others bars at this same time but this one came in a ziplock baggie.. all the others came as they should , in a factory sealed container. WE paid premium dollar for this purchase and felt this was not acceptable. Tom has always been fair and easy to deal with, until today, Tom exploded ! Began yelling about people expecting him to put out money or If he could can even get any bars.....It was busy when this took place. Numerous customers made comments. As I walked toward the door, a lady sitting waiting for her turn looked at me, with eye brows raised. I shrugged my shoulders and exited. Never to return. Jane: I have not been able to wear my wedding band for years because of the arthritis in my hand. Last year my husband bought me a ring that looked a lot like my original engagement ring only prettier. He passed away a few weeks ago and I started wearing our wedding bands around my neck. I took them to Jewels, and they made the three rings into a necklace for me. That way I have him with me all the time! They are super costumer focused and do beautiful custom jewelry. Doug Dunphy: I inherited a old pocket watch from my father and I wanted to know more about it because I couldn't find the info I was looking for on the internet. I found Jewels on Hampton while surfing for info so I decided to visit their establishment hoping they could help. I walked in with my pocket watch in hand, a employee approached me and ihanded him my watch and without even being asked a question I guess he presumed I was trying to sell it and said "it's gold plated we're not interested" and handed it back. I was so dumbfounded and felt so disrespected that I just turned around and walked out. I actually sat in my car and cried because not only did I feel disrespected, but I also felt like I was Stereotyped. I DO NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. Autumn Laux: I first visited Jewels On Hampton about a year ago to have my engagement ring repaired. Once for splitting the band and another time because my entire center stone had fallen out. I had the most fantastic experience working with the staff here. Their repair fees are way beyond reasonable, fair, and it's high-quality work. The staff is knowledgeable, so polite, really one of the most personable experiences I've had in any establishment. I would recommend anybody go there for repair, I know I won't go anywhere else. THE OWNER ACCUSED ME OF GOING TO 10 OTHER PAWNSHOPS BEFORE COMING HERE (I hadn't been ANYWHERE else), honestly was more curious as to their value, but with the way they denigrated me when I came in (it was 30 min before their posted closing time) they acted like I was keeping the whole staff. Said my grandmother's gold bracelet was fill (the assistant rubbed a loooong mark on a board to test as the elderly African American gentleman told him that he didnt want to see it despite the assistant still testing it with acid and guess what- it passed. The others he told me what he thought their karats would be, said one was 18 k gold with a 1/4 k cut diamond earing, one was a multi seed pearl, onyx, diamond pendant in 14 k gold, and as h looked through my items I told him about a 67 Oyster perpetual Rolex I had, then he told me that for the lot (minus the bracelot) he would give me 120 dollars. He tried to inform me that all Rolex are Oyster perpetual (NOT true) and I stopped him, told him that he would NEVER see that Rolex nor me again after doubly insulting me. This place might be an okay place to shop. But definitely not one to bring your things to if you are in the know- you will be utterly disgusted with their attitude.Response to owner- Perhaps the employees shouldn't attack the potential client when they walk in the door and in the same breath comment that "what the OTHER pawn stores wouldn't take shouldn't be brought here".Your response to my post really indicates how you treat people incorrectly

Antonia Olivares: I took a gold diamond journey ring with one stone missing and one stone loose to be repaired at Jewels on Hampton. The owner examined it and showed me where most of the mountings for the diamonds were missing. He gave me a great price for a stone and all the mountings. I went there on a Monday and was told it would be ready on Friday. I received a call Friday morning saying my ring was ready to picked up. I still ended up buying a silver bar cuz it was cool looking. I ended up going to Scotsman Coin. There I was impressed. Purchased $4500. diamond. Sorry MO Coin. It's about how you treat people. If the blond wasn't there I would have given 1 star. With her alone 5. I balanced it out to the middle. Have a great day.
