William Dunn-Sarmiento: Their website provides false information.The Marriage Records Department is not open weekends, contrary to their official government website.Don’t bother calling either. They don’t answer any day of the week and their phone system times you out after a short while, with no way to leave a message or anything.
Quintinus Gherardini: What else could be expected from a government employee? I was 3rd in line and the employee I saw eed agitated to be there. I'm sorry you are having a rough day but being short with a citizen will not make it better.
Carole H: I ran into this cool looking old building on a walk one day. I didn't know that it had been burned by a fire and i thought that it was just a really, really interesting looking old building. There are so many homeless people in the park directly across Market Street that it is just awful. I ended up buying a bunch of inexpensive food the next morning on my way out of town and distributed it evenly amongst the homeless. It's just too awful to try and live with oneself when so many people are hungry.
Harsh Goel: The building still has the burns from the fire but it's antique look and amazing architecture still make it a must see!

Rocio De Santiago: It really shouldn't be so difficult to register your car. There's a queue you're supposed to sign up for but even as #3 in the queue, there were 7 people in front of me. Took 25 min to serve one person. There's only 1 person from 8am - 9am so getting here early isn't even helpful anymore. Someone please explain to me how a working class member is supposed to afford to pay taxes and also afford to have time robbed while trying to pay taxes? If they're gonna use a queue, there should be a kiosk so that it's accessible and I'm not signing up for nothing. It is such an unpleasant experience to be #3 in queue and have 7 people ahead of me when I need to be at work.Government services are supposed to be for the people, not to cripple it's citizens with petty inconveniences that cost us a fortune.This experience explains the amount of unexpired vehicles in St Louis. Ineffective procedures breeds non existent vehicle registrations.
Caroline Foston (C-Note): Went to get my address change in my identification card and had a problem there with a young black worker. Why is it it out on kind blacks who hinder you from getting what you need. I had everything they asked for but she refused to give me the address change. Blacks we need to do better. When I went to get my birth certificate today I had no problem from a white lady. But as always it's us blacks that hinder ine another. I should give it no stars but due to my birth certificate I'll give it one star

emma dope: The service was terrible and the workers weren't knowledgeable about anything. I waited three hours and still got nothing done.
Pearl Burns: Upon entrance the security guards were more than grateful to help. Being someone with a physical disability it was really nice to have the assistance of the staff to properly handle myself. The generosity and gratitude didn't stop at the guards, the staff inside the room I had visited was polite and patient while I gathered my paperwork. The waiting process is the most stressful part, due to a 2hr waiting process. Overall this place has exceptional service.

Jarred Gastreich: The city worked quickly to help us fix the sewer lateral in the alley which caused our basement to flood. Thank you Eric W. for helping us. He had the expertise we needed in the dire situation. He expected it to take up to 3 weeks but had it done in 2 business days. He talked to us about different insurances we can look into for our home damage. Thank you!

Matthew Hewitt: This whole department is an absolute joke. Everyone’s constantly getting street sweeper tickets but the street sweeper is like a Sasquatch, a legend that may or may not exist. Oh look it finally came to our neighborhood after 3 months of inactivity… but then the guy doesn’t even get close to the curb and just scatters the debris and leaves all over the street. Literally 5 times worse then it was. Thanks St. Louis and the never accountable Bethany Williams or whoever it is in charge that is still blaming everything on the flood back in JULY! Way to waste our tax dollars.

Jacob Kenner: The staff in the office issuing permits has been really helpful, multiple times. I don't like to pay for permits to use space in front of my house, but since I must, they do a good job issuing and renewing them.
Keyona Davis: The street where my house is located has street lights, that has not been on at night time for almost a week. I have called the St. Louis City Street department and informed them about the street lights not being on during night hours. The guy that answered my call at the time was very rude Asf. Wth does my st Louis city tax dollars go to? It's dark as hell on the streets at night and it pisses me off that the city takes this long to fix it!
bobmths: The head of this department is absolutely worthless. Theres pot holes everywhere. I have made a claim for months now.i hope who ever runs this loses there job.and they find someone reputable.
William Tinsley: like always nothing never done. we have ask over and over for policing to be increased in the Gate District on Lafayette between Grande and Jefferson. a group of kids almost got hit by a speeding car trying to pass another car and blew the 4 way stop. ask for Police patrol and yet no show
Dustin French: St. Louis City Street Department does a great job! Overall the streets are fine. There's a few spots here and there which need improvement, but my V6 Altima does a fine job navigating them.
Jamie: Moved to a new neighborhood. There have been four street cleaning days since I bought my home and the street sweeper has skipped my house every time. Customer service was absolutely no help. Can you clean in front of my house like you do everyone else?A year later the street sweeper shows up at 9to 10 am every time even though street cleaning time posted right in front of my house says noon to 330. So this means the neighbors haven't moved their cars and the sweeper skips around the street and does not get the job done properly or according schedule since they DO WHAT THEY WANT AND NOT WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO. Pitiful

Daniel: The Housing Conservation permit staff and regulations are a total joke. The inspector literally only seems to be looking for a couple of ticky-tack items (like placement of smoke detectors) and they won't publish any kind of FAQ for these little items so one could be prepared ahead of time. This old guy says they just like to work from violations, but I'd prefer not to have to re-arrange my work schedule more than once to accommodate their limited inspection windows since they can't be up front about it. Basically seems like a money grab to keep older people employed, as the guy barely looked at anything and mostly took my word on things, but then would tell me things that were problematic without actually clarifying whether they were a problem for my house (and it took me several times asking, "are you saying this is a violation for me?")
