Bruce Bradley: A true traditional cigar shop this place is truly the cheers of cigar bars filled with locals and a welcome visitors even though they closed at 10 and I was with a party of six from around the country they entertained us till 11:30 now that's a cigar bar and if you have that special bottle of Blanton's that you want the friends to try you can bring it in like a traditional cigar spot they do not have a drinking bar

I have been to every cigar bar in St Louis and surrounding areas and The Hill Cigar Co has one of the widest selections in St Louis. I was like a kid in a candy store. With that huge patio, on a great day, I could pull a chair up and enjoy but the true magic is inside. From the great and extensive selection of cigars and pipe tobacco to the knowledgeable owner and staff that forgot more about cigars then so called cigar aficionados know. Great intimate lounge area where you can catch a Cardinals game or some Sunday football. Comfortable seating and never so crowded that you get overwhelmed. No pressure in buying cigars that you get from some staff at other places. And even if by some chance they don't have a cigar you want, Dan can find you one that will not only match the profile but even exceed! I have been a few times and every time I felt right at home!

Yasmin Smith: I guess hospitality, customer service & courtesy doesn’t exist in the Midwest. While in town visiting family we stopped by for a quick drink & for my bf to enjoy a cigar. We arrived a little before 11pm (note: this establishment closes at 12am). As other reviewers mentioned the humidor is locked and you must order from a menu — that’s cool but how about communicating that to new customers without an attitude like our presence was an inconvenience to you while breaking down the bar Sir. So he brings over the cigar menu and is like what do you want it’s last call - again with an attitude like our presence was a bother. But anyway we order and then try to enjoy a moment while the staff is scurrying to break down the bar as he barks commands to them (mind you at this point isn’t not even 11:45pm). He brings the check and my bf signs it with a tip included even though they gave us horrible service. Maybe 10 mins later (again remember this dude is clearing off the bar, etc a mile a minute) and says where’s the signed receipt did you put it in your pocket. We’re like huh. He’s convinced that “we” took the signed receipt and quickly brings another one to sign. Cool whatever guess what this time you get no tip for this poor experience — it’s the entitlement for me when he looked at the 2nd receipt saw no tip and then started talking about class, really dude. Continues to rant and then does the most classless thing I’ve ever seen snatched up our PAID for drinks mind you my glass of port was still 3/4 filled and dumps them out. Not sure if the stars and the moon were off but this was definitely not a first class customer experience — if you’re in STL and would like to feel rushed, treated like a thief and called names by all means stop by this establishment. If not, I’d say spend your money and time elsewhere.

D G: Great cigar lounge in the heart of st Louis on Washington St. There is amply seating from the bar to booths and comfy couches. The options for beverages are a plenty especially whiskey and bourbon. One draw back of the place is that you can't enter the humidor. However the staff is knowledgeable on cigars.

They have an EXCELLENT selection of pipe tobacco as well as pipes & cigars. I bought a nice Churchwarden, tobacco, and a few cigars. This is one of the best pipe, cigar, & tobacco shops I have ever been in. I highly recommend Jon's.
