St. Louis County Library–Mid-County Branch: what do users think?
abby grote: very kind & helpful process notarizing my documents!
Roy Sher: nice public library that is part of the st louis county library system. entrance to the parking lot is on the Maryland side. parking is free and under the main librarylibrary has a nice play area for kids with a few computer available. there is a stem type pipe and ball area as well as play Cafelittle kids picture books are a little more spread out that makes it easy for kids to pick and choose
Martha Z: Very clean library with friendly staff . The children's section has several fun places for kids to sit and read and toy options for young ones to play! Free underground parking within downtown Clayton is a big plus.
Elena Plackis: Not enough parking
Maire Schultz: This branch has a wonderful Children's section with several play areas: train table, kitchen, large foam blocks & ball tracks. My 1 year old and 3 year old loved it!! I also love that the picture books are on low racks for my 3 year old could pick out her own books.
Brenda Simpson: I don't know what I would do without the Library. They can provide any service you need. The Technology classes are very important.
Yvonne Anderson: Lovely Friendly Quiet
john Antognoli: Mid county is the best. Friendly capable staff who know and like their patrons. Yes!
Mark Lo: Nice rebuild. Modernized. 👍
Lawrence Q Hu: Gorgeous location with plenty of natural light and ample parking.
Philip M: I love it here. Very balanced and has a clean bathroom. Plenty of garage space and love the hours availability for the facility. Love the view and ability to focus alongside the edges of the building. Love the welcoming gesture. Very wholesome. Had to check this branch out due to the Ucity one remodeling
Joel Grebler: This is a phenomenal resource. I've never had a bad experience with staff and grew up learning so much about the world from this one quiet, organized place. What a gift to be able to learn and entertain myself with this library system's vast collection of books, music, articles, movies, TV shows, and video games.
Jesús Sebastián Distel: It is a wonderfull place for adults and kids!
Gwendolyn Deloch: I had gone to a Fed X location and was not able to complete my project. I drove to the St. Louis County Library and within less than ten minutes I was leaving with the task completed. The male was very helpful and I was very pleased ❤️
Jonathan Koeller: This is the place to go for your library needs. My family has been coming here for years and we have always had a great experience. This location was rebuilt recently, and it has only improved the experience. Our kids can now explore the new separated kids section with ease. Also, the parking area below the building has an easier access to the upper level than the previous setup.
Dave W: Great library!
Abby Bartlett: Lovely branch of the county library! I always enjoy browsing here. The librarians are helpful too. It’s a great place to pick up holds because the holds shelf is close to the front and easily accessible.
kena Coleman: I love coming here when I want to get things done.
Scott Kreher: Everything is easy to find. The librarians are kind and helpful. The children's section is great.
Hannah Trimble: The library offers curbside pick up and they hold books for so long before returning them to the shelf. I have a 3 year old who loves her books. But since this pandemic she has been burned out on all the books she has. I am able to request a bundle of books, picking how many I want and some examples of books she likes. It has become her favorite thing that she looks forward to because it’s always a surprise on the books she’ll get. This last time when we did our curbside someone had done some drawings on the bag the books were in and that just added to this special trip. This has been the sunshine to my daughter during these dark times.
Christopher Schless: They are still only doing curbside pickup, and they are still fairly understaffed but the process for reserving books online and then picking them up curbside was not terrible so definitely reccomend still getting books this way.

St. Louis Public Library - Central Library: what do users think?
John Flack: One of the cultural crown jewels is St. Louis.
Katrin Bosch: Very pretty building! Nice staff!
N. J. Sorensen: The St. Louis Public Library - Central Library was established in 1865 and is one of the oldest public libraries in the United States. The library has undergone several renovations and expansions over the years, including a major renovation in 2012, which added more space for reading, technology, and special collections. The special collections of the St. Louis Public Library - Central Library include rare books, manuscripts, photographs, maps, and other unique items of historical and cultural significance. Some of the most notable collections include the African American Experience Collection, the Missouri History Collection, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Collection. The best time to visit the St. Louis Public Library - Central Library would depend on your interests and the purpose of your visit. If you're interested in visiting the special collections, it's best to check the library's hours and schedule an appointment in advance. The library is open to the public six days a week and offers a variety of programs and events throughout the year, including book clubs, author readings, and educational workshops. The St. Louis Public Library - Central Library is a valuable resource for the community, offering access to knowledge and cultural treasures for all visitors.
Brenton Lee Winters: my favorite library to go
Cody Cummings: The central library is amazing! Apart from having a truest enormous collection of books, they also have thousands of historical photos, newspaper clippings and other documents from over 100 years ago that you can go flip through. My wife and I went to research a little on the building we live in and we were able to look at old maps, articles and photos from our area that really painted a picture of the history our home shares with the city.Their collections aren’t just for those who love a good story, there’s something for everyone whether it’s cool books, car manuals, art collections, or maps. They even have a gaming area in the basement.Their building is also a testament to architecture and design. Buildings just aren’t built this way anymore, and it’s truly breathtaking if you’ve never walked into the great hall before. Next time you’re downtown, go in and explore the corridors and rooms of the central library and find something that piques your interest.
abby Jean: Worth stopping in just to tour
Michael Williams: Noisy for library experiences. Not a place to study or read in quietude.
Constance Johnson: I was able to print needed documents.
Jefferson Wallace: Guns brought here by the homeless fear for my safety every time I’m checking out a book
Jazzmine Johnson: Quiet, Peaceful, Great Service, Good Reading, Awesome Wi-Fi, and Computer Service
Lori Tuhacek: Very good
Robert Schmidt: This library has a podcast room, 3-d printers and more. The staff is very patient … even when I forget the num-lock. A gem in the city.
Courtney Ward: The staff are friendly, courteous and assertive. 👍🏾
Meghan Levin: I haven't ben here yet but I'm dying to come here and expand my reading hurisens!!!I am an eight year old In 3d grade at an 6th grade reading level and im ready to make it a 7th with this libary
Steve Olinger: By far the worst staff I have ever seen. The staff are extremely rude, unprofessional and uneducated. If you hate your job so bad please find another job.
KLL: Beautiful library.
Schon: Wow, you guys have no idea how laws and policies work huh? Policy doesn't nor ever will override the constitution of the United States. I think Mary ann needs to learn how people dont have the expectation of privacy in a public space.
griffin peters: Had to come in for notary services while on vacation. Everyone from the phone call to the experience at the library were extremely friendly, professional, helpful, and personable. Building is beautiful, had my document notarized with 15 mins of arriving.
SimplyBlessed Family: ME AND MY FAMILY ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS LIBRARY! Always organized, very friendly and helpful staff, and just so many opportunities to get you on the right path ❤️
R Kaskowitz: The library is a treasure and a pleasure.
Althea Smith: The library is a great place to do a quick claim deed free to the public no matter what area you live in.

St. Louis County Library: what do users think?
Oliver Niemann: I love the library! Amazing genealogy section!!
Suzy Parrino: Frontenac location needs to be updated on Google maps & Identified as Admin Only
Amaya: In addition to books, they also have a lot of events and programs
Julie Regelin: St. Louis County has a wonderful library system. This location is fantastic.
Michael Bush: I came from bloomington il for a book event at the library. It was have a signing with the author Brad Metzler. It was real nice time. The the library knows how to put on a event. I recommend looking at the website and go to one.
Tiffani Sweet: Extremely nice and helpful clean and quiet. The perfect library.
Alex L: Would definitely recommend as a study place. Very peaceful and relaxing area where I finish lots of my studying. Since the pandemic, it has only gotten quieter. Great spot.
Raiden Williams: This place is rude the staff acts like they can just talk about people in front are in back of them . this lady fainted they laughed instead of calling 911 or getting a glass of water are saying are you ok. We been doing the summer reading club for 18yrs now my mom had to literally been yelled at by staff saying we're not her children that we had to show birth certificate when we were actually in front of her for yrs being here. They dumped her books out of her hands, they said 3 yrs later she won a gift card she didn't get called are emailed. On but, when she showed up one day they said we were trying to get a hold of you and it's been yrs ago.this library shelters a lot of homeless people sleeping here etc. ,janitors try to go out with you unprofessional they try to clean the bathroom knowing you walked in there, ask you for your number.
Emma Wroblewski: Before Covid went here weekly to work & do genealogy. Staff helpful & friendly. Great DVD section. Bright. Clean. Easy, close parking.Great location. Not sure why they have decidedto rebuild in 2022. The newer one near Grants Farm is not as warm & welcoming with poor access & not great parking plus squeaky carpet tile flooring. Newer not always better. My only complaint is it often very LOUD due to a couple of adult tutors (who apparently have hearing issues) speak extremely loud, refuse to mask or loudly complain about masking & wear mask inappropriately during Covid, and if not with student continue to speak loudly & socialize. It is very rude & distracting. This older man is always there after mid day & totally annoying.
Kurt W: Good programs for kids, always clean, and the staff is great.
Gina Booth: Very helpful staff!!Plus I've heard they help with diapers!
Kate T. Whalen: This place was very quiet and calmly with people who is study for school stuff. Smiley Kate ☺
Michael Ayres: They were so friendly and helpful, missed being able to hang out and research! Thanks so much to the kind and very helpful cheery staff!
Yanming Zhang: Me, Yanming Zhang, teacher Ming, is the best tutor in the USA or even the whole world. I have been a high school teacher for 9 years. I tutored at the Frontenac library for more than 10 years, teaching 2000 students in total in person. The library has provided me with a nice and quiet environment for my students to learn. I also started knowing a lot of other tutors, like Paul Pontillo, who is a very nice guy helping hundreds of students. To know more about me and the library, please go to teacherming dot org. This library is a very nice place to socialize. Please come! God bless!
Zack Smith: Great place to expand your mind.
Lin Patton: Best library location in the area. Nicest people, most books, always helpful.
Brett Berger: Beautiful location. Great selection. Excellent staff!
Patricia Baldrich: Great selection of kids books. We love their monthly themed surprise bags with books and crafts.
GP Nicholson: Thanks for the amazing great service during these perilous times. Do yourselves and these heroes a favor: wear a mask mask
Walter Hassard: Great facility. The research staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful..
Tevi Robinson: Nice people there. Low key right now. Lovely.

St. Louis County Library - Thornhill Branch: what do users think?
Ric Comana: Very friendly staff always ready to help.
Donna Church: I love SLCL branches
Prajol Shakya: Really like the ambiance of this place.
Dean Park: Great service, friendly staff.
Vipila Bathvar: I love to spend time here. It has best collections. You can join classes of computer and English language. There is small playground outside so if you have children they can spend better time there. Most amazing thing is you can enroll in different kinds of events which is really good. You can borrow a book by quick process and without charges. The arrangement of books and atmosphere inside the library is really good.
Holli M: Very cute kids area. Also has a kids "Garden area" to play outside.
Aalia Rahman: It’s such a beautiful library with a number of services including printing and the use of computers. You have a children section and a convenient way to search for books. You have a lot of place to sit beside a window and read and it looked clean and well kept.
Lauren Heuerman: I study at the library at least 3 days/week for 8-10 hours/day. I used to use the study rooms, but you unfortunately only get 1 hour guaranteed, and there is almost always someone waiting in line to use them. Now I use the quiet room, a large room with several tables and no limit on how long you can stay. I do love that I have the option to use one or the other, or I can also sit at a table in any common area throughout the library. One thing about this library is that it is squeaky clean! I've only noticed one man cleaning, but he never stops and deserves a shoutout :) He is constantly emptying trash, dusting ledges, picking up trash outside, and cleaning the bathrooms. He always greets me with a smile when he unlocks the doors at 0900, and is almost always still hard at work by the time I leave in the evening. He should be incredibly proud of his hard work... It is definitely noticed and appreciated. My only complaint is that the noise level dramatically increases in the afternoon when school dismisses. Lots of kids come here to study, hang out, or wait for their rides, and I think it's great they have a safe place to stay. However, these kids are NOISY!!! The study rooms, which butt up against the quiet room, are so loud. Laughing. Yelling. Banging on the walls. I don't mind some noise... but it's a lot! The common area outside the quiet room is the same. Again, I don't mind a little noise. I do wish the EXCESS noise would be addressed, though.Overall, I'd absolutely recommend this library to any studiers! I don't use the actual book section, but I've browsed the shelves on my breaks, and it looks like they have a great selection. The children's library looks excellent too!
Elena Plackis: This is a great space. Love this library!
Katie Shi: Very great library. I like the kids summer reading program here. The kids get encouraged to read. Also it has a lot of collections even at different languages like Chinese, Japanese and Hindi.
Jover (Hotcakes14): Staff is very friendly. This branch also provides great study rooms.
Andrew Smith: Had problems with our library card online and the clerk helped correct the problem
Joan Kolesarek: My favorite place
Pastor David Lee Fair III: Love this library. It's just like the rest clean, friendly staff and always willing to help. Could not ask for a better place to come get my books and taps or what ever they offer.
Neerja Tiwari: Great place to get your kidsThere is ample parkingA separate play areaA separate kids sectionA quiet areaComputers Printers et alA very nice feel to it
Roy Sher: nice library branch that is pretty quiet and convenientsmall play area for kids outside with bells and chairsthere are magnet tiles and other toys as wellthey have story time for kids and quite a number of programsvideo games also available to check outcan get a library card with drivers license as well
mike b: The St. Louis County library has a one-sided political agenda. They use my tax dollars to spread false narratives that go against my religion and political beliefs.
DS Ramsey: Wonderful staff, selection-If you do not have an acct and belong to STLcounty make one. The SLCL system is wonderful with multiple e-Media available
Eleanor Cummings: Good atmosphere. Noisey. I wish it was quieter. Maybe I was in the wrong area. The staff was very helpful.
Ghislain Tchomobe: Excellent. We recently relocated from another state and my son loves it. It is only 5minutes from us.
Tantrum Niche: Great selection, friendly staff, and a fantastic place to wear out hyperactive children. The outdoor playground is boss, the children's library is enormous, and they don't wait as long as the city library to get new stuff in reasonable quantities. I haven't had to get on a waiting list for anything yet. Go check them out! (See what I did there?)
