SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital: what do users think?
Jeanne Johnson: Terrible communications. Was told I would be contacted. Never happened so I called repeatedly, leaving messages. My doctors office left multiple message. The one time I did get through to orthopedics, the call dropped. No one called back. When I called back, I got an answering machine again! Going to a different hospital.
Whitley Thompson: We were transferred to Children's ER on Monday Night and were there for almost 5 hours and were NEVER seen and then literally told to leave when I asked what was going on. We were transferred to Cardinal Glennon Tuesday Night and had THE BEST EXPERIENCE EVER! They treated my son and I with respect, empathy and dignity. Everyone was so helpful and so kind! We were even taken back to our room within 10 minutes of walking in! The nurse and the resident physician were SO KIND and SO HELPFUL! I will only ever bring my children to Cardinal Glennon from this day forth! Thanks so much for helping my son feel better!!! You have no idea how thankful I am for your ER!!!Love,One exhausted, but thankful momma 💜💜💜💜💜
Pebbles G: Wes not impressed with the way we was treated this time we have been going to this hospital since 2008 so this is bs on how we was treated with are daughters surgery this time
Stephanie McCullen: We had to bring my 18 month old son here to have blood work drawn because the lab we were referred to could not successfully. The difference was amazing. First try and with minimal tears. If we need future blood work it is worth the drive.
Zombie Slaya Dylan: I was sent here in ‘03 as a baby, when everyone was sure i wouldn’t make it. They saved my life. Thank y’all so much. I wouldn’t be here writing this review if it wasn’t for you.
Monica Hulbert: I had to take my 12 year old daughter there late at night she cut her finger open and I will never choose this emergency room again ever single employee we had to encounter with was extremely rude but two nurse’s they were sweet and nice and talked to us with respect but the rest of them including the front desk staff and the guy who takes your insurance information was rude I don’t know how it is during any on other shift’s but I will never never go there at night it was very uncalled for specially for a children’s hospital they were even rude to all my children i just wished I would’ve gotten all their names I sure would list their names right here this was by far the worst emergency room experience I’ve ever had
Kirra Metts: The nurses just sit around talking about there patients instead of doing there job I would not trust them with my child’s life
Matthew Whitworth: Best hospital for pediatrics. They truly care about the outcome of the patient. While other hospitals in the area focus on their billing department more than they focus on the needs of the patient and their families
Fred Harvey SR.: This place has no structure.
Ali Alzahrani: The staff is getting less training than before. Some nurses are so rude and not very professional. It was a very bad time we were going through, and we were hoping to get the help we were expecting.
Nesha Latae: Nice staff BUT they move soooooooooo slow it’s very ridiculous.. No matter what time of the year or hour of the day you walk in with your child you Must Prepare Yourself to wait for at least 2hours rather the capacity is small or busy…Then you see a doctor for 5 to 10 min just to leave. Very disappointing each time (The Childrens ER!)
Dana Kelley: Most Staff was amazing. Food was decent. Got my daughter back quickly in the ED.
That Loser: Saved my brothers life.
Mollie Staats: Have always had a decent experience with cardinal glennon neuro team, in fact they have some exceptional neurologists there but if I have to deal with Dr Ana Curta again I'm done! She is the most rude, heartless, senseless and hurried doctor I've ever had to deal with! Horrible bedside manner!absolutely awful care!
Fortnite_genius03 Roberts: Worst wait time ever! If you take your kid here you’ll be in the waiting room forever! They don’t have enough staff
Sea Shell: Phenomenal doctors for precious children ❤️
Raquel Davis: Brought my baby in for rsv. Terribleexperience all around. There was a delay at check in. My baby and I stood by the door and it was extremely cold this day. After initial checkin I waited patiently with my child waiting for our name to be called. While waiting, I watched the women who completes checkins be extremely rude and condescending to other women there with their children. One person came in from outside and explained that they had been sitting in the car waiting for the rest of their family to come out of the ER department. They needed to use the restroom. The first thing out of the employees mouth at the desk is, " YOU CAN'T STAY! ". Yikes. I think that person understood that, im assumming since they had previously been waiting in their vehicle. I watched 4 other mothers bring their child in and they were brung directly to a room in the back without any waiting room time. I inquired how they determined patient preference. I was told that if a pediatrician calls in for a patient they get serviced first. Per hospital policy. Not the fairest policy in my opinion. I'm a third time mom and has never heard any of my pediatricians recommend this. But okay, I could be wrong. After advocating for my child, they decided to finally check my baby vitals and bring us back to a room. Mind you, my baby has been whezzing this entire 2 hour period. So as a parent, I felt distressed. I would have to say customer service is at a zero. And the hospital policies are strict without true compassion for the people they are suppose to serve. My child was seen by an NP. She diagnosed my baby, suctioned my baby and told us good day. I waited in the room after the NP left a good thirty to forty-five minutes. No one came in and gave my discharge paperwork. I thought cardinal Glennon was a reputable place to bring your children when they are ill. This place is ran like clinic. The employees in the front are rude and minimize mothers concerns. Extremely disappointed in the service I received.
Nicole Schaeffer: Been here three hrs not been seen by a Dr yet just put in a room they care more about billing then the kids
Samantha Ambrocio: My babies were born 3 months premature and easily caught rsv numerous time thus being 1 of my twins was placed on the respirator for about 2 weeks. ALL of tge staff in the picu was great esp dr.madson! Will never willingly go anywhere else for my kids to be cared for. They saved my childs life and i can never repay them enough! Thank you cgch and prayers to the guard to continue to heal.
Julie Maul: My son is a two time cancer survivor and we credit Costas Center and all the wonderful people there for saving his life. This review is for outpatient care. My son has chronic kidney disease that is supposed to be closely monitored through puberty because it’s progressing at an alarming rate. Cardinal Glennon has one of the best Nephrologist in the country and we couldn’t love Dr Beck more. However, thanks to the ridiculous way the appointment system is ran at Cardinal Glennon we can never get in at 3 months. They only do appointments 6 to 8 weeks out. So you have to keep calling back to try and get an appointment for when you need but they fill up so fast it rarely happens. Now we’ve reached a point where my son is being denied access to his doctor and medical care by that doctor because of administrative policy. It seems counter productive to me! There is no reason you shouldn’t be able to make your 3 month check up appointment before you leave. Instead I have to set alarms and keep calling and leaving messages and sitting on hold and never accomplishing much of anything. For two weeks I’ve been trying to make an appointment but still can’t. Absolutely ridiculous!
Margaret Lamming: Our child had outpatient surgery. The communication from the surgical staff prior to arriving was excellent. We knew exactly what we needed to do, and I was able to call ahead of time and have all of my questions answered. When we arrived, it was easy to find where we needed to go. Everyone was friendly and the whole process ran smoothly. We understand that with surgery, times cannot be exact and delays may occur. This was communicated to us ahead of time so that we could be prepared to wait. However, we were pleasantly surprised that everything ran as estimated. The nurses were friendly and interacted with my 2yo in a way that put her at ease. I loved getting to meet the anesthesiologist, the resident, and the attending surgeon. It put us at ease to meet the people caring for our child, allowed us to have questions answered, and showed respect and genuine concern for our family. The recovery nurse helped us to know who to call if we have questions/concerns and answered all of our questions. The whole process was smooth and as stress-free as possible. When it came to payment, we liked having an idea of approximate cost ahead of time, as well as a discount for paying in full. I already went on social media to share that we loved our experience, and if we need medical services again we will turn to Cardinal Glennon.
