Brad Harmon: Worst service department I’ve ever encountered (and I manage a fleet of work trucks). Do not trust the service technicians to work on my lawnmower let alone my truck. Rear differential had a visible leak, they clean it off and said they couldn’t validate the leak. Told me they’d charge a $99 diagnostic fee that turned into $450 charge for not fixing the issue. $450 is what it should have cost to fix the leak. Now I’m taking it to Auffenberg in Ofallon to fix the same leak for $50 deposit under my extended warranty. Just go to Auffenberg and do not deal w these crooks.
Ess Steam Herbs: 3 1/2 hours for a oil change OH NO NEVER AGAIN. Literally sat and watched my car for 2 hours before they came and got it for the oil change. NEVER!!!

They did fix the other problems that I had though. My appointment was for 8:45 on Monday morning and my car was not even looked at until late afternoon Wednesday. My vehicle wasn't finished until Thursday afternoon.

THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN SELLING CARS AND WILL NOT HELP WITH THE UPKEEP, EVEN WITH A MANUFACTURER WARRANTY!This is one of those places you wish you could give zero stars.I am seriously disappointed in the Columbia, Illinois Chevy service department. To start, I called and set an appointment with a woman. I know she made an appointment because she asked for my name as well as my number. When I arrived at the dealership about an hour later (I had my car towed there as it didn't feel safe to drive), YTim (the service advisor) tells me I don't have an appointment and doesn't offer to set one up. I guess they don't need the work??? Tim explains that is perfectly normal for my transmission type to roll down a hill, which is true with CRT transmission, but that does not explain why my brakes or acceleration would just not work in that instance. I seriously believe Tim doesn't believe I know how to drive and had to think I was just letting my car go down hill without any control. Tim says they will look at it Tuesday May 15. I get a call on Monday May 14th saying my car is totally fine and they found nothing wrong with. They said they test drove it and it didn't act up again. Well my receipt says the mileage on my car when I brought it and when it left the shop was exactly the same, so how much of a test drive was actually completed ? They cut my diagnostic fee in half. All this could be swept under the rug if my check engine light hadn't come on in less than 3 days from when I picked it up. I call Tim back to let him know they hadn't looked at the car completely but he was too busy defending himself for it to matter anymore. I took my car to an AutoZone where they told me FOR FREE what was wrong with my car. It had nothing to do with the transmission in the first place. Even better, it took less than 5 minutes from arriving to the AutoZone to find out what was wrong with it. This whole thing has just blown me away. I'm convinced this dealership let my car sit in a lot for a weekend and charged me 90$ for it. The only thing that could convince otherwise would be visual proof of them spending time on the car. I am open to being refunded for my time and will be waiting for a reply on who to contact, if anyone reading this cares.TLDR: Don't go to George Weber, they don't care.

Todd Nelson: Horrible experience, work was done incorrectly. Trims not fully reattached, seat cover not attached, and clips hanging loose. Work was obviously attempted by an unqualified tech without any sort of quality control. The service advisor has gone above and beyond on the issue and is working with his manager to remedy the situation. Based on this work it is blatantly obvious Elco’s Chevy service department is substandard, operating with completely unqualified technicians, and operating without any sort of competent management. Elco’s Chevy shop is definitely a location I will warn others to steer clear of.

Joe Russo: Worst experience ever. My car is still in there service center. Had an appointment when I called for a warranty issue that states I have to bring it back to the dealership I bought it from unless it can’t. I called up to schedule appointment. Lady who answered phone was very very rude. Told me no loaner vehicle was available. When I called it was Monday May 15th she said availability is Thursday @7am. I told her I had no way home. She told me that wasn’t her problem. I said I live in wentzville where I was living when they sold me the car. She said nothing I can do on that. Do you want the appointment. I dropped car off Wednesday 5/17 after hours. So it was there by 7am Thursday 05/18. We got a phone call @ 1230 on the 18th just saying they didn’t think they could look at it that day or the next day… what do you mean I had an appointment for 7am on that morning. They called back on Friday the 19th after I called and complained. Mike the service writer said oh it just got into the shop my guy is fixing it now as soon as I hear something I will call you. Good thing I wasn’t waiting for MY CAR. Mike called back around 330pm on Friday and told me that the exhaust pipe that mounted to engine was bad and not covered under warranty. It is $500 I can have it here Monday. I told him I disagree with the warranty but I will deal with warranty company as the vehicle has been garaged since we bought it and only has 70,000 miles on it. Mike asked me if I wanted to replace the part. I said yes order it and I will deal with the warranty issue. Never heard anything back. So my wife called on Tuesday 5/30 to get update. Mike wasn’t available will call back in about half hour. Several hours later he left a voicemail on my wife’s phone saying they found a bunch of engine issues as well and the parts might be on there way or there at the location or somewhere but he didn’t know. Weirdest voicemail we ever gotten. Now we are going on the third week and don’t have any resolution. Never will I pass several Chevy places to see this one. Very rude and can’t trust them for even there service times. No updates or anything.

He called me at work trying to pressure me into buying the extended warranty. When I told him I am not interested he called back 2 minutes later with a different price. I once again said I was not interested and he hung up. When I came in to do my paperwork on the new truck I was introduced to this person and the entire time I was signing he was very short and did not seem to be interested in anything except the fact I refused to buy an extended warranty from him and I brought my own financing. I did not care for him one bit and will not work with him in the future.Tim Brown
