Galicia Guerrero: I had the most amazing experience at The Ultimate Bride. Megan helped me create my dream dress. My vision for myself was a beautiful ballgown with lace, sparkles, and long sleeves. We found a great dress but it was missing the lace sleeves. She suggested that alterations could literally make magic happen by adding a jacket piece to the dress and adding extra appliques. Alterations worked diligently to make it perfect. Everyone at the shop is so kind and helpful. So grateful my bridal experience at The Ultimate Bride.

I went for two appointments, the first with Shannon where I had literally gotten engaged two days before and the second with Elizabeth when I was ready to nail down the dress.Evan was helpful at both appointments as well as my literal hype squad. I have not felt more beautiful than I did in my two appointments. There was no rush, no pressure, no annoyance, it was amazing. I had a rather large posse at both appointments, like all three couches were full. I ended up buying a Stella York trunk show dress that HASNT EVEN MADE ITS DEBUT. It was one of those dresses that was like meh let’s try it and then ended up being absolutely the one. Elizabeth was so incredibly sweet and gave me some time after I said yes to just twirl around and feel pretty.I cannot thank the team enough and honestly I am bummed I’ve put a deposit down because now I don’t get to keep trying dresses on. rachickie iiee: Awful experience. The shop is very small, with a small selection of dresses. The consultant was not welcoming, she did not introduce herself, didn't seem to care at all. She or someone from the shop called the day before to ask what time my appointment was, because she messed up the schedule. And, the "fitting room" is the store's bathroom! I was trying to avoid the water on the floor while putting dresses on.

Kelsie Young: I was ecstatic to visit House of Curves bridal salon, specifically as the name entails to cater to more curvy brides. The owner, Ms. Satin is welcoming, genuine and overall personality just radiates beauty for the bridal profession. The salon was intimate enough for just our party but spacious enough to accommodate and try on many dresses, styles, accessories etc. There were plenty of sizes, shapes, styles, fabrics to sample. I truly enjoyed my bridal experience at House of Curves and would recommend Satin's establishment over again! Thank you!

She then coordinated with the designer THAT DAY to put a rush on my dress order with customizations. The attention and care that I received in that boutique are really what every bride wants for the big day, and they really accommodate all sizes.

Desiree Roberts: I found my dream dress here. This is the only boutique in this area that caters to plus size, but is also great for standard size. I would recommend Brides of all sizes book an appointment at HOC. You get the boutique to yourself for a private and personalized experience. The BEST part about HOC are the dresses, you will not find the dresses at HOC anywhere else in this area. They are fashionable, beautiful, and unique. Exactly what every bride wants to be on her wedding day! Satin worked with me after I fell in love with one of the discontinued dresses and even arranged to have us meet with a seamstress to make sure the dress I bought off the rack would work for me. Don't hesitate just book that appointment!

She was helpful, attentive, and really tried to find what I was looking for and within my budget. I ultimately ended up going a different route than I had initially thought, so I didn't end up purchasing a dress from here, but I would still recommend the Wedding Gallery because it was a good experience and they have a very large selection of beautiful and reasonably priced dresses.

We initially went to check it out just because it was close to home, but from the moment we walked in everything felt perfect. Paula walked us through a line of dresses at the beginning asking what I liked and disliked about each, and what I was looking for generally in a dress. She pulled some options, and as I tried those on she asked lots of questions and really listened as I explained what I liked and disliked. Once I found the one, there were a few things I wanted to change before I ordered, and she as well as the owner worked with me to make my dream dress a reality. A R: Let’s talk about the ridiculous restrictions. We had the WHOLE STUDIO to ourselves and were not allowed to walk around to view the dresses ourselves. If you can explain the rationale for this, is love to hear it!Now about the shopping experience...Paula (who upon initial introduction complained about shoulder pain) begrudgingly pulled 4 dresses for my friend to try on. 4. The first 2 didn’t match what my friend was looking for at all. She seems put out by that, went back, got 2 more to which my friend tried on one and when she told Paula she didn’t like it, she replied “well then I guess we don’t have what you’re looking for”.This place is HUGE. They can custom any gown they have. Don’t tell a bride you don’t have something for them. We couldn’t leave fast enough. Awful lighting, weird smell even through the mask, and complacent service gives this place a huge thumbs down.

Ashley Lindley: The high reviews seem unbelievable to me. My sister bought her dress here in 2018, and I thought her experience was average. My mother and I pulled more dresses than the consultant did. I personally visited recently, and was told they didn't "have my size" in the styles I wanted, and was repeatedly given dresses that didn't match my requests. I understand I wasn't allowed to shop for myself due to COVID, but sheesh. Just for reference, I am a street size 14, so not having anything in "my size" sure weeds out a lot of the population.

Cynthia Brooks: I bought my wedding dress from Wedding Gallery in St. Louis and it was absolutely perfect! I had gone to other bridal shops in and within a two-hour radius of St. Louis and found nothing comparable to this place. At other bridal shops (the places you immediately think of when looking for a wedding dress and those I won’t name), I was rushed and felt like my preference was ignored. When I got to the Wedding Gallery, I immediately felt valued when I walked in the door! I was met with a smile and was asked what I was looking for in a dress as well as my price range and given a tour of the huge selection of dresses I could choose from. The gallery is beautiful inside and has thousands of dresses. I got to meet the owner and designer of my dress and she personally helped me try this dress on. She suggested the handmade sleeves and belt to make a more princess looking dress like I wanted. I heard that when I found "the dress,” I would know right then that it was "the one.” This was the first dress I tried on at the Wedding Gallery and didn't even need to try on any more! The owner and employees where professional and creative in helping me find the perfect dress. I will tell every bride I meet to skip the rest and go to the best at the Wedding Gallery! Don't waste your time and energy anywhere else! Go to the Wedding Gallery to find your perfect wedding dress! 😍💑👰

salatzke: When I got my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses here in 2006, I had no issues. Since my closest friend ordered her wedding dress here last summer, she's had nothing but problems. She ordered it on 8/16/21 and was told it would arrive by the end of the year (the paperwork says the average is 14 weeks for delivery). Then that it would arrive by February 4. Then February 25. Then March 11. Then it was overnighted on March 14, but somehow didn't arrive until March 16 (the owner refused to provide the tracking number through all of this). The dress was two and a half months late! The bride left for her destination wedding on March 20, leaving her only days to get alterations done that normally take weeks. We wanted Art (the owner) to at least pay for the alterations, but he said it wasn't his problem and offered no recompense other than pressing her gown for free (which I think was already part of the deal).Alterations were another issue. The shop he sent us to for alterations on the bridesmaids’ dresses when they came in (Alterations & Tailoring For Your Elegance) was overpriced, and when we told them we were going to take the dresses and go elsewhere, the women were very rude and condescending. Thankfully, I found another shop (Irina's Tailor Shop & Alterations) that was fairly priced, completed the bridesmaids’ dresses in a timely manner, and the dresses fit well. They were even able to complete the bridal gown alterations within just two days so we could get it back to La Merite to press it before the bride left town the very next day. The reception is in June and we will wear our dresses again, but none of us will be taking our dresses back to La Merite for cleaning and pressing.

Do not go here this man is very rude on the phone and threaten to charge fees to my husband a couple of days after our wedding if his grooms didn’t return his suit! And said it was his responsibility. Had to many problems here and to return suits twice because he didn’t measure right and he blamed it on us!

I was in another dress they sold in a similar size to make sure they had accurate measurements. I also noticed he went off of my waist size asking what was most comfortable. Then I went 6 weeks later to pick up the dress and it was clearly the wrong size, I took it back and they were not nice anymore and told me that I had gained weight in my bust only.... no I didnt gain any weight... they told me I needed to get ot altered and cost me alot more than it would have if they had ordered the correct dress. They insulted me and didnt offer any solutions for me. They were so rude and hurtful.

Brian McDowell: Art helped my best man and I get tuxes and accessories for my wedding. After the wonderful experience my fiancé had with Art, I had high hopes. I wasn't disappointed. Art explained everything well, treated us with respect, made the experience personal, and our suits are priced better than anywhere else I had gone. This is a great place!

Amy Kelly: Do not use this store for alterations! They ruined my wedding dress and I am devastated! I asked for a slit down the side and they completely botched it. The first time I went in for a fitting they didn’t cut the slit through all the layers and the cuts they did make didn’t line up at all. They tried to fix it but made it worse by tacking the misaligned layers together and distorting the entire dress. I paid for a rush order and at the time I picked it up they told me there was nothing they could do. So I ended up having to take the dress to another seamstress to fix at the last minute. They couldn’t offer a solution in time for my wedding but also won’t refund me. The pics show a before of the simple dress and an after with misplaced slits that are at least 8 inches apart and don’t align. At this point I have called the store numerous times and they have now brushed me off to customer service. Brides don’t let them ruin your big day!

I was nervous to try on alone but she made me feel comfortable right away. A plus with the designers of the dresses carried here is that they offer a lot of customization options! They are beautiful on their own, but it is really nice to have the option to tweak the dress and make it the perfect one.

She made the whole shopping experience feel fun, relaxed, and low-stress. I’m very indecisive and tried on a lot of dresses, so her reassurance was really helpful. This store has a smaller but more curated selection of gowns that speak to a modern bride. Additionally, because this is a smaller shop and a newer business, you will get direct one-on-one support from the owner herself. Ellen is incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging. She listens and provides great information to help you make a decision. She's also quick to communicate and transparent about cost, timing, availability, etc. The store is definitely a younger and cooler vibe than most wedding dress shops in the St. Louis area.
