BB's Jazz, Blues and Soups: what do users think?
Peetie Beans: Love this place I’m glad they’re back at it!
Giancarlo Andreoli: Il miglior locale di St. Louis con la migliore musica
sharon stecher: Great place
Brad Smith: Great place my reason for 4 stars is because online they advertise food. When went there I was told they only had snack food. The drinks were really good though. Recommend you eat before you show up.
Taylor King: A Historic blues venue with phenomenal live music featuring local and national acts playing in an intimate setting that makes you feel like your in a different era. Phenomenal views of the city on the balcony. Conveniently located next to Busch Stadium in the heart of the city. John May has worked hard over the years to make sure this place has been a home for musicians for decades and one of the the best places to catch music.
Adriano Bucchioni: Fantastic Club....essenziale style and great soul!Unfortunately no MEAL served...only drinks 🍾
Joanna Sandquist: Went with my highschool music group and they were kind enough to let us go in the basement during a tornado! The waitresses were all lovely and the music was great
Tecora Morgan: BB'S JAZZ BLUES and SOUPS is a very friendly and professional musical and family oriented business and I will for sure recommend this place to anybody.❤❤💕💕☺💕💕💕
Carol Boss (CarolBossArt): Been coming here for years to hear music music. Kind of a home away from home. I think they are open now for music Friday thru Sunda.
Wanda J: Awesome place so close to the stadium!
Phillip Davis: Food was bar food, nothing to speak highly about. Looks like a great place to hear live music and have fun. Gave it a 3 due not very busy when we were there.
Rafael Voynyahov: Great parking. Only $15 to park during the game. Less than 5 mins walk to busch stadium and everyone is super friendly.
Jess Larna: One of my favorite places in the whole country. This joint is a national treasure. Highly recommend.
Tarun Singh: It was closed for renovation, and they didn't even update on Google. On Google it was showing it's open till 1:30 a.m. I reached there by cab and found it closed then had to come back.
จาริยา มีชัย: nice
elynnbrown: It's hard to find live music/bands. I can always count on BBs for showcasing STL talent. Thank you. The menu/drink selection had changed drastically since the pandemic...patiently awaiting the days of old
Shronda Jackson: The live music and bands are to die for! Great drinks, food and service.
Turkesha Newsome: It's always a great time at BB's. My husband and I brought in the New Year in a safe and sexy establishment.
Charlotte Moore: I was at this venue last night. I bought VIP tickets for a table of 4. I even called prior to coming to confirm the time. I was there at 9pm and I did not get seated until 9:45pm. UNACCEPTABLE!! This venue books two different bands a night. They book the band that draws a black crowd for the later set, because they think it is okay to have black people waiting to get a VIP seat that they paid for. They would not dare have white people waiting for black people to get up and leave, for seats that they paid for. When I tried to complain they wanted to blame it on the band. However, this is your venue and you know exactly what you are doing. Giving black people poor service. Also, the drinks were very weak and not good. We sent them back and they were worst. We ordered food that arrived close to two hours later, which we declined. There is nothing here for black people at this venue. We can put our money in other venues. Pay attention black people.
Jamal Dunn: I decided to get this place a second chance tonight because the previous time I came the service was just simply horrible. Well… I went and ordered food for the second time, and after an hour of waiting,, I was told that they were out of basically everything that I ordered. I was offered a drink for my inconvenience. While the music is great, the service absolutely sucks. If you want to get a drink, you’re going to wait. If you want to get food, ur absolutely going to wait, and pray that they have any of the main items on the menu. I don’t know where things went left, but the staff must’ve changed over or something. This new group is absolutely horrible.I will not be returning to this place.
Jeremy Michael Mitchell: A St Louis icon for live music. As one musician put it "If you want to play live music in St. Louis you go through BB's" I saw Joe Metzka and besides being charming he is an amazing incredibly talented musician. BB's has provided St. Louis culture with great musicians since 1976!!

Backstreet Jazz & Blues Club: what do users think?
charles green: Me and my wife do an open mic/karaoke every Thursday night from 8:00 to 11:00 it's free please come join us
Renee' Peavy: The name was changed to social club not so much blues and jazz but still a nice atmosphere
Danny Jacobs: Karaoke on a Saturday night? This used to be a great place for live music.
Floppyoneactual: Slightly above your average dive bar. Small intimate space. Clean. Friendly bartender.
Tyler Marler: The bar itself is fine.I ran karaoke there for a long time, and had they been good about paying me and being consistent I'd likely still be running shows there.I've heard good things about karaoke recently, so maybe it's gotten back to being decent.
Jim Arconati: Open mic karaoke on Thursdays!
Roderick Nash: I like this place, friendly atmosphere and cool bartender and dj's.
Scott A. Love: I would give this place 10 stars if I could, good food, good people, good times!
Jaime Snider: Joe, the bartender, heard me mention I like cherries. He put cherries in all my drinks. Thursday night was free karaoke and trivia night. We were very entertained by the wide array of talents. The hosts asked silly trivia and gave away prizes. They do not serve food but you can bring in food. Ladies get free wine until 8pm. We had a great date night.
vinay Saripella: Good bar
James Arconati: Fantastic! Open mic jam night on every Thursday
Zyi Li: Fantastic people working here. Bill is the most welcoming bartender. Very progressive and open mangers/owners. Great layout. Stage, sound systems, lights, and feel are perfect for music. A must go to have fun for events! Weekly Thursday night Open Mic, Open Jam, Karaoke, and Trivia 6p-11p.
Lauren Cook: I love this bar. I would go every week if I can.
Michael Kemner: Only 1 bartender no servers long wait to get drinks. They dont even have a band anymore. Wont ever go back here again
Nancy Maddock: Love going here to watch Billy Peek play. But someone needs to do some serious cleaning. The filth on the bathroom floor is disgusting. It's a cool place. Clean it up.
Justin Miller: Fantastic and Billy is the best. Great place to chill and just chat and drink. Loved it.
shawn bostick: Love this place in Edna behind the bar is cool as a fan everybody I met was awesome very classy but down to earth nobody couldn't feel comfortable in their
Shannon Yarbrough: Adjacent to the Funnybone comedy club. Live music some nights. Karaoke on most weekends. They even have drag shows. Great place to hang out with friends for some drinks after seeing a comedy show. A few games including darts and pinball. They have a great jukebox too.
Det Petzel: Great place great people Cleveland Browns fan club was fun great place to watch come on out
Donald Meissner: Sunday night jam session is a great event. Excellent musicians and superb friendly atmosphere.
Dane Giazzone: Good drinks nice staff great events!

Blue Strawberry: what do users think?
Heather Hodges: Great music and vibe. So lucky to be coming through St.Louis on a Wed.!
Aminata Diallo: I love this spot! The service is phenomenal and the atmosphere is out of this world.
John Sanders: Nice atmosphere nice food
george chism: Good food good music
Jacqueline Coleman: What a disappointment. The singer was put in the front window by the bar, which should've told us what kind of night it would be. As a result the sound was awful. We were crammed against the bar, took forever to get someone to take our order, and then the food was cold and overcooked. Never going back.
Greg Kristensen: Great place for good food and musicLove coming here
Richard Beye: First time visit. Really interesting place. Food was good, entertainment bordered on spectacular. I'll try this place again.
Joel Manesberg: Impressive new club in the central west and great place to see live jazz. Live Music. and they serve food in a huge bar highly recommend great experience. Intimate Experience
S S: Went to a friend's event at this place. The atmosphere was amazing. The wine and the food were both great. Only giving 4 stars because I haven't had a chance to experience the place entirely. There was limited seating and standing room only at one point, so moving around was a bit uncomfortable. Overall, nice clean venue. Will definitely go back.
Christi G: Attended a poetry slam here. The food and drinks are good. Nice cozy, intimate spot.
Bart Vatterott: Great Food Great Atmosphere Great Music
Yellow Rose: My experience here was amazing. From our warm welcome, great waitress , bartender, band and exceptional food prepared by the chef. I highly recommend this establishment, we had a superb time C'est délicieux!
Jackson Pianos LLC: One of the most dynamic, varied and engaging performance spaces around! We sold them a Yamaha C1 and my lord it sounds great in their space and the line up of artist they have is inspiring. Great food and drinks and so cozy in the winter. I really recommend you catch a show there.
Jason Higgins: My wife and I had an amazing night at the Blue Strawberry. We were so excited to see Eleri Ward in a last minute show here. The staff was super friendly and we felt well attended during the show.
Mary Beth Kinsella: Went there to see Janet Evra for a Valentine’s Day dinner and show. Show was great dinner was awful. Had a 6:30 dinner reservation and was not served until 8:05 after lights had been dimmed for show. Ate a cold, fatty ribeye in the dark. Ruined what should have been a nice holiday dinner with no staff, only one server for the entire room of patrons. Go for the music but eat elsewhere I. The future.
Shari Whay, St. Louis Realtor: Best way to spend Valentine’s Day! Music and ambiance are great! Service could be better, regardless I will be back…maybe next week for some blues!
JL Serkes: Great. Go. Bring.
Ed Mantia: Excellent venue for music and dinner. Everything was better than I expected.
monae cribbs: Great atmosphere! Great bartenders and a variety of alcohols to choose from! On every other Monday my brother and his friend get together there and play live jazz and have an open mic night! Come thru you won't regret itUpdate:I still love this venue!
csmorrow242 Morrow: Not gonna lie...the owner is SUPER NICE. And it's a great place for atmosphere. But my experience with the food service is horrid (shortage on people?). I have been there twice now and the first time I'm not convinced that the server just didn't forget we ordered food. The second time....my date simply cancelled it mid-way through our hour+ wait. Awesome music, great atmosphere, nice ownership....just eat before you go maybe....if you are hungry.UPDATE: I have been several times since and service continues to improve.
Lynn Kuchar: The venue is ok but on the smaller side.It was cold out, but it was really cold inside as well. I think the owner needed to turn the heat upFood was pretty cook

Evangeline's Bistro and Music House: what do users think?
corbin byers: The restaurant itself is nice and quaint and had live music with no cover. I also really enjoyed the infused rum cocktail selection. My biggest problem, other than having to wait 15 mins for drinks and 50+ mins for food, is that it's not New Orleans style. We had gumbo and jambalaya and neither was even slightly spicy. Also the bread served with the food is not mufaletta (traditional New Orleans style). Also no rabbit in the jambalaya or crab claw in the gumbo. The gumbo was very thick too, not soupy at all. The server herself was fine but not somewhere I need to go back.
Phyllis Hading: Called to make reservations. Lady on the phone 5/27 at 12:47 was extremely rude and said call back and hung up.
arielle pucheu: I come to this place so many times because I truly want to love it. I always make reservations and they are always accommodated. Service is just not there for the volume of people at Sunday brunch. Atmosphere and food however, amazing.
Keri R.: Music every night they are open - AND during brunch! Food is great and the atmosphere is down home!
shirley alexander: The service was horrible. Furniture broken and food 😩
MaryBeth Mezo: Sunday brunch…bloody mary’s were good but the food lacked flavor. Chicken was dry, andouille had no taste. Very disappointed.
David Miller: We arrived 30 mins prior to opening so we can get a table. Then 1/2 the table got served and the other 1/2 took 45 mins after complaining to the manager who had no idea of how to handle it. Then they brought the wrong food so it took another 10 mins. We got excuses from the server, hostess and manager that we all different. Then when I got my order of sausage gravy over biscuits, these was no meat, just gravy and not much of it. Very disappointed in the service even though Lenny our server was very nice, he just needs support from the rest of the staff and maybe some training. The servers don’t bring the food the runners do so the servers have no idea of when the food comes out and if it is correct. Then they ask what can we do to make it better, so I say comp our meal but they offer a discount. Unacceptable, not going to come back for sure.
Banafsheh Beheshtipour: Perfect food! Live music! Friendly staff and good service. This is a loud restaurant, not good for people with quiet taste.
B Hawthorne: I am biased - I love cajun food, I love a good specialty cocktail, I love good live music that isn't marginal rock cover bands. So I have been coming to Evangeline's a couple/three times a year since 2016. I am never disappointed on the staff or the drinks, and while the music can be a little loud, it's a total plus. It's been a while, but the Sunday Bloody Mary bar is also worth checking out.
Bobby Boyd: This place was awesome. I loved the pasta, the shrimp and grits, the red snapper with rice green beans and the red beans and rice was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ryan john: Live music and food were great
Michael Lewis: Great food and ATMOSPHERE!!! Also be ready for live jazz with the amazing BREAD PUDDING I ALMOST HAD SECOND. ALMOST..Back again and Amazing as usual!!!!!
Tim Heggemeier: One of the best places in St. Louis
sandra watkins: Great place to dine.
Debra Hamilton: Bland tasteless food served cold. Terrible service but band was nice. This is a over hyped themed restaurant ran by kids for kids who want to play Madri Gras. A restaurant with this price point should have a skilled mixologist but it’s a bunch of kids with a poorly stocked bar. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere
Mary Green: Great place to listen to live music while enjoying the meal with company
Meshelle Bruce: Dinner was great. We've had brunch and also enjoyed the food. Definitely return diners.
Charisse Jackson: Food wasn't hot and lacked seasoning
Carolyn Coffey: First time for brunch, but will be back. Reasonable prices, good jazz and excellent wait staff. Shrimp stuffed omelet is great
Sheila Young: Great creole food. definitely going back! Did you know they have free parking around the side of the building? Applied a half a block away
Greg M: Called to set up a reservation on 4/2 at 13:02. The girl on the phone told me she was too busy and to call back later. Did not appreciate her tone. If that is the behavior customers are to expect at Evangeline’s Bistro, then count us out.
