On the day of the service Rick showed up right on time as was also very nice and professional. He spent a good amount of time looking around my property and put down bait and poison to hopefully fix the issue. Liz S: June 1, 2023 UPDATE:I am updating my review because of the shady business practice as far as their contracts go. Last June, I signed a contract for one year of quarterly service to be billed monthly at a rate of $32.00/month. In June I was charged $32. July, $37 and August $41. I called to inquire how my rate could keep going up AFTER a contract for $32 was signed, and basically was told that the contract is only to guarantee that I pay them for at least a year, not to protect the amount I pay. I told them to cancel my account as soon as the contract is up. Finally that day is here. On top of that, the year prior, they were billing us quarterly at $90/quarter or $30/month. They switched to monthly billing and started charging $32/month. They did a fine job controlling the bugs and the guys who came out were always nice, but once you lie and cheat me, you're gone. It isn't the price that drove me away, it's the lies. If they would have explained that they had to raise their price WHEN I SIGNED THE CONTRACT, instead of lying and then stealing from me later, I probably would have agreed to pay $41. After all, everything is getting more expensive. I guess they figured most people wouldn't notice. I would NEVER sign a contract with them. Pay they extra amount to not sign a contract. You're going to end up paying it anyway.Awesome service and response time. Extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Very friendly!

Amy Amelung: I have used Paske Pest Control services for many years but have now turned off my service with them due to heavy price increases and ever increasing levels of frustration in my interactions with the office.During 2022, there were three price increases on my services. The first was an 18.8% price increase for my Q2 services, a 29.5% increase for my Q3 services and a 38.9% increase for my Q4 services. These cost increases are using the cost of the Q1 2022 service for comparison and no service level changes.Paske’s also changed their billing practices to force a monthly payment in advance for their services as opposed to a quarterly charge when the services are actually provided.After absorbing multiple price increases, I tried to lower the service level in September to reduce the costs and they refused to lower the payments until the start of the next quarter. They collected three monthly advance payments at the original service level and then subsequently refused to provide the full quarter of service for which they forced me to pay.A 39% price increase within a year is excessive, and non-completion of services that were fully paid for is just downright wrong. The only redeeming factor is that my every interaction with the servicemen was pleasant.In addition, at the end, the only way to stop Paske’s from charging my card was to physically turn off the card. This was a hassle and only by disputing the last payment with my charge company was I able to recoup some of the money.

We called several companies until I searched on Angi's and found St. Louis Pest Control. The communication style was easy, we set an appointment for an assessment of the situation. Also seemed like a really old bottle and the chemical was white inside the bottle indicating it was being stored in a non temperature controlled area (this was during the winter). Usually when they come I'm an not usually at home. They never ask to come inside even though someone is home. Brad C: Signed up last night (July 3) with their route manager, who yes was going door to door,in our neighborhood. He was low pressure and after I told him I worked in sales he cut straight to the chase with the price and what we will get for the quarterly payments.He even “threw in” two optional services. I say “threw in” as I know that’s part of the sales pitch. Doesn’t offend me in the least:Also the door to door sales approach doesn’t bother me. 1. These folks are just trying to make a living. 2. This is a practical and relevant service. 3. I know how to speak with them since I’ve done some similar things in the past.Today the tech, Jarvis, came out for the initial treatment. He was very professional, did a great job, and was also very personable. I walked around with him and explained what he was doing and why.

JAY MEHTA: We have used pioneer for the last 5 years. They are more expensive than most pest control companies. We didn’t mind paying the extra because we thought the service was good. We are never going to be using them again… they fail most every time to show up on time. We had an 8:30 appointment and they show up at 8:47. I understand if this is one time. But the last several times they came late. When you are paying $150 to have pest control service that took them 28 minutes to do… please give us the courtesy of letting us know the guy is running late or schedule so they don’t have to be late. We were the first appointment today mine you, when I called to report the issue the lady that answers the phone tells me that my house is far away. Excuse me../ you knew this when you scheduled appointment.

Libby Eversgerd: I contacted Pioneer Pest Control to remove a dead animal from my roof. After a few days of rain it looked like it may be in advanced decomposition. 🤮 I left a message after hours and was contacted promptly the following morning. I spoke to Ashley who told me they would stop by that day to assess the situation. A few hours later two employees showed up. They were neat in appearance and professional in their approach. I showed them to the backyard and when they saw it they were curious and not alarmed or grossed out like me. One guy got the ladder and started climbing. When he got up he found an animal- a very dirty and wet stuffed teddy bear. 😂 He asked where he could dispose of it and they left. I was more than satisfied with their services and am looking forward to using them to spray for mosquitos this summer. ☀️Service:General wildlife removal

Shannon Scott: We love Pioneer Pest! We had a lot of beetle looking bugs in our basement when we first bought our house, but since we started using Pioneer for sprays every 3 months, we rarely ever see any bugs. A dead spider here and there that made its way in at most. The service techs are all super friendly as well and are really careful to get in all the nooks and crannies. Carston usually comes to our house and it’s nice to see a familiar face each time, which probably wouldn’t happen with a huge company like Rotler. They are also really responsive and we often make appointments over email, which is nice because I never really feel like calling companies to make appointments. Thankful we found a local company we can trust for our pest management needs!
