rettortuga: If you have something that is highly valuable. Put a reserve on it so that it can not be sold under a certain amount. We learned the hard way with Link Auction Galleries. The auctioneer allowed one of our items valued at $2000 to be sold for $40. At the time we did not know to ask for a reserve but at the same time they know the value of items and should not have allowed this to happen to their client either.

Chance Sterling: If they like your items, they will put a low estimation on it and buy it for themselves, and then put it in Warson Woods Antique Mall (which the own or work at as well) and will sell it for a much higher value than they estimated it for.EDIT:I wouldn't be in your database, my fiancé though, she had some items in your sale.The people who run link, some of them also work and have a booth at Warson Woods Antique Mall.You say your not affiliated with any Antique Mall, but doesn't some of your staff work at Warson Woods?Have they ever personally bought items you had in your auction and resold them for much higher value than you estimated them at?I know you have.

It’s an easy drive from St Louis and was well worth making the change.

Ben Shannon: Absolutely awful customer service. I sold several items at auction here, all at one batch. After they took the items, they completely ceased communicating with me. I sent many emails and left many messages and heard nothing but silence. Eventually, I saw that they had listed the items, in a different auction than they had promised, with unflattering descriptions they had never discussed with me. Surprise surprise, everything sold for the minimum. Months later I got a small check. Not sure if this was incompetence or scam, but AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Anthony A: I Dropped off several items on 9/1/17.After 3 months of no contact I called for a status update and was assured I would receive a call back. A return call Never happened and after 8 months I received an email stating that the items were Sold. The auction was held on Memorial Day weekend and Obviously only a handful of bidders participated. I fully believe this was all done with intent as it’s an easy money grab for them to buy higher end lots for next to nothing and ship them to another auction house and reap the benefitsOne of the lots was a $12,000 new never installed large crystal chandelier it was somehow sold for $10 even though the opening bid was listed as $75. Its now 10/31/18 and they still have yet to contact me or pay the few dollars owed to me. In my opinion DECEIT AND FRAUD ARE THE STANDARD HERE.*****BEWARE *****

Brad Stricker: BCL Auction did an amazing job on the sale of my two companies. All of the trucks, trailers, lawn mowers, loaders and all of the bulk supplies and tools were sold online. Billy was very knowledgeable and great to work with through the entire process. The BCL Team (Brent, Tammy, Terrance, Terrell, Emma, and others) all worked so hard to make sure everything was listed and the descriptions of the lots were perfect and spot on, so thank you to your great employees too.I highly recommend BCL Auctions, they are the best! Chris Wolfe: I've been buying things from BCL auctions for many years and I have always had good experiences.The items that are being sold can be anything from used, to new-in-box, to damaged. As long as you go into the transaction with the right expectations, it's still usually a win-win for buyer and seller. When buying an item, there is a buyer's premium added to the purchase price, which is standard at any auction, so be sure to take that into account as well.I also recently learned that BCL sometimes only facilitates the auctions, and they are not always the ones who upload the images and create the descriptions of the items. I was uninformed when blaming BCL for an error, but they were quick to help me resolve the issue.
Nathan Viehland: Buyers beware!!! They charge sales taxes on items that should not be charged and I am not even positive they report it. I asked them a week or so to delete my account. Bidders that was bidding on an Auction on 1/4/23 for wolverine equipment beware because they let me bid on the items until the last day. So you probably paid 2 to 3 hundred more then would have. I also believe they bid on items to keep from losing money on them, because weeks later I would see the same item in their warehouse for a set price on it. They sell items that are not useable. I bought spray paint and none of the 24 cans even worked. They steal photos off the internet to advertise the product and it looks nothing like the item you are buying because it is damaged. They don't list the items as damaged.
Jennifer T: Be very careful on these auctions bc most are returns and are defective. I’ve also experienced both of my bank cards compromised since using this company. When you let them know they don’t care and hang up on you. They just want the money and don’t care about the customer service aspect.Update: they will cancel your account and not give you your items even after you’ve paid for them. In my opinion legal scammers.
Laura Hearen: Highly recommend! The entire process was quick and easy, funds received are close to what was estimated. There's no way I could've sold everything on my own or made nearly as much as I did with BCL.

I also watched and item get bid on then sells for $300 less. How? An item also gets bid on then doesnt sell yet website says no refunds and bid is final.

Our company hired BCL to liquidate a business and to say we are disappointed in them is an understatement.They did not have nearly enough people to do the job, it took them days longer than it was supposed to and they left us with a huge mess to clean up. They left us everything from items that didnt sell to just garbage.We are so disappointed is them. If you need someone to help you liquidate, I highly recommend using anyone but BCL Auctions.

David L: They are great to work with, but their website needs help.If you bid on more 2 auctions, you don't have a central place to look at your bids. I should have a portal where all my bids are in one location. So if im outbid I can address it.When I click on an auction and I see there are 47 pages at the bottom, its daunting, I almost never make it all the way through, just put everything on 1 page and let me scroll to the bottom. This is a super easy fix. I would guess you will see an immediate increase in revenue.

sean starling: This has the potential to be a great auction house. Shady practices keep it from reaching it's potential. The start the bid at a set price. In a room of 20 people, 4 of which are with me, no one is bidding. We are each looking at each other because the prices increased as though someone bid. I found out later the higher value cars are on consignment. This makes a fair auction harder for the average joe. Lower priced lower quality cars are auctioned with higher priced consignment vehicles giving them all the air of value. Be smart. Utilize the time for previewing the vehicles. The ones with the highest starting point usually have the highest consignment attachment so your wiggle room will be decreased.
