China Town Market: what do users think?
Bernard Little: Hard working people. Clean store, good selection!
Williams Jimmy: A great place to find authentic ingredients for Oriental cuisine.
Doug Bullock: Nice to place to visit while the big store is closed
Patrice Brinkman: Great shopping. Good variety of products. Will shop there often.
C Last: Fast in and out, when you get there at night you can back to the dock when facing the docks, take the left one. The right one is broken, and local drivers know it so they will jump ahead of you😃 Not knowing isn’t a excuse😩 Now you know, thank me later. Otherwise in and out
R H: Don't go there unless what you need is sold out at other Asian grocery stores. I only went there to check because what I needed was sold out at another store. Almost every time I went, it was an insulting experience. All the cashiers, including the owner there have a toxic attitude as if they consume dynamite every day. You don't even need to hear them talk. It's so strong that you can sense it near the store. Several years ago, there was a female cashier there pulling a long face as if you stepped on her tail once you stepped into the store. Today at check out, I got out my credit card and asked the old man if I could tap, he mumbled something insulting. I asked if he understood English. He snapped saying "Does it surprise you that I don't understand English?!" I said, "No. I was just asking to make sure. You don't need to talk to me with that attitude". He snapped again retorting, "Your attitude is nowhere near good, either! I'm just selling you stuff." Simply avoid this toxic place unless you enjoy being insulted!
Daisy Yen: Very neat and no odors like most oriental grocery store. Good selection of products. Somewhat pricier than other stores.
Megan Carroll: Nice variety and can't beat the prices.
Liangjie Wu: I so love shopping here, there vegetables alway fresh with great price, clean store, nice staff.
Paul Bass: China Town market is second to none. The only place I go to get what I need when I make Chinese dishes at home.
Bob Reneau: Fresh vegetables
Terrence Sennie: They had some interesting things other than just spices as to my reason for going here
Bruce Miskell: Never been in there , But look cool inside.
AAA: I didn’t get itemized receipts nor their register is too old to show what I buy so couldn’t know what I purchased. When I purchased vegi and meat, lady covered and pushed with her hands over scale twice. I thought that is weird and looking at the scale and register if it shows any number. Then she talked to me all of sudden to distract me. Buying 4 items costs $68 is definitely weird. Never would come back again. Me Non Chinese doesn’t mean you can do sketchy business.
TK: Amazing clean store. Everything was neatly organized and we felt like the owners take great care in stocking the store with good quality products. Also, the owner was super friendly and assured us about an item that we had few questions about. We will be coming to this store regularly.
Karmen Christlieb: Great place to get Asian goods and produce they have good quality products. The owners are always friendly to us when we go in and are very helpful if you have a question. I like to buy many of my ingredients for making kimchi here. I also am excited that I am able to buy boxes of mooncakes when it is around the Mid Autumn Festival.I buy all of my tea here.
helen wolenter: Had everything I was looking for and SO MUCH MORE!!
don mccormick: A small market with merchandise that I needed. Products are staples of the Asian cuisines!
dustin watkins: Smaller, but also affordable
CosmicCake: Lots of good ingredientsThough many of the packaged pastries like tarts and macrons are nothing like what is on the box and not very pleasant to eatThe grilled squid chips r good tho
keanu Souza-Koprowski: Great prices , had everything I was looking for. From Hawaii so we always looking for ingredients. Great customer service. Got this large steamer only 20 bucks to make charsiu bao/manapua

Universal Food Market ( Cho Phu Yen ): what do users think?
4_Ever _Gr8teful: Small selection. Been looking for alternatives since seafood city closed. They are an ok store. Not very large selection of items. Big store but only half of it's in use.
James Fowler: This place is awesome! They have live seafood and an eclectic collection of authentic Asian staples and treats. You can also find kitchen tools and handmade snacks and meals.
Ana Pavon: Muy bonito lugares
jackson LGXYZ !: it’s a not well kept, rusting on products, place where crabs are kept is so dirty the people were okay though the black tilapia wasn’t bad either
Ramón Semanat: Fresh and clean
Refugio M Rochin: So far it’s been a find for a few of the items I seek to keep myself in balance. It’s a niche grocery store. Although the S. Broadway locale has been somewhat dilapidated, the store is airy. It’s really due to those few niche things that I’m putting it a little higher on my list than when I first located to Missouri.
Gwendolyn Simpson: Very racist. Unwilling to sell black people. Horrible experience, smell is bad. Asked if they had any tea In stock, found bunch of tea when asked about it the lady said she didn't want to sell to me. If you are black stay away!!
carlos rodriguez: Food is too expensive. Las cosas son demaciado caras 🤷‍♂️
Dhaval Desai: Expensive and not much choices.
Matthew Ota: Not a "Universal" food market. Chinese foods only.
Terrence Sennie: Looks like I found a new grocery store for my different spices
Timothy Ema: Great Chinese supermarket
Dan Jenkins: Just a different culture nothin wrong with that, wasn't for me
Deanna Miles: They're super nice and helpful here!
your mother: Pretty good selection, not for everyone but perfect for me! It’s the only place in St. Louis I’ve found so far that carries some of the Asian coffee products I love, and they’re saving me from having to get them shipped to me.
Mitch Rong Li: The sea food and meats not fresh, it looks thousands year old. Most is Frozen food .
MaryJ Wanna2: Nothing personal but the Asian food store usually doesn't have anything I can actually eat. We went to check out the alexian brothers hospital which is now dissolved into south City and stopped in as we had never been to universal food Mart. This place however did sell basically Werther's originals. Was able to get my boys a large bottle of soy sauce at a good price. Also the staff was nice. I usually go in these places for a good deal on knives. Stock up on those and I'll be back. I do recommend for those who like this type of food as the staff is sweet.
K Young: The store was clean and easy to navigate. They have a good variety of products at a reasonable price.
Jeffrey Schenk: I haven't been there in a while it's a lot like Jay's international food on South Grand, also like Seafood City in University City. It's actually the first time I have been there since before the pandemic. I went in there hoping to find some oysters in a shell they didn't have any. I spoke with the gentleman working the register he says I still get them in every once in a while but not on a regular basis. A friend of mine wants me to teach her how to shuck oysters because I used to shuck oysters at the Broadway oyster bar when I was 15. I believe I might have to go to seafood City to see if they have some oysters. If anyone knows where to get live oysters in the shell please let me know thanks.
Robin Manning: Smelled horrible, shelves were empty

Asia Market: what do users think?
Nikki Coker: Great selection and friendly staff!
Tanya G: I always like coming here to get things I can't find anywhere else. They have a good selection of Asian products and good prices.
Selamawit G.: Went there for first time, found a lot of things we needed. Would totally go back!
Judy White: This place has the best Japanese snacks. Plus, many other Japanese seasonings and such other stores do not carry.
Hickory Stanley: This is the cleanest Asian grocery in town for sure. The price is unbeatable. People work there are very friendly.
Pat Findley: They always have what I need.
Becky Gregory: Always enjoy going to this Korean market! We love anime and they have a lot of snacks from those shows. Very respectful place
Anne Burns: Our first trip this year and everything we wanted was easily located in this wonderful store
Dino Ramic: Nice market for most of your needs
조 준한: The people who work there are so kind and honest, and the price is good compared to other places.
Gregory D: Exceptional experience and I will be going back
Ria Goncalves: Clean, reasonably priced items just didn't have the selection I wanted.
Jo Holbrook: Next place for all your home cooked Asian dishes. The Bubble Tea in a can with Boba is so good
Ray Pratt: This place is clean and reasonably well organized. The staff may be a touch aloof. Certainly not personable, but whatever. The selection is decent but not outstanding. It's very convenient, though, and has the essentials and then some. More so if you're looking for Korean ingredients.
Gary Montgomery: Very friendly staff and helped me find what I needed very quickly. I love the bean sprouts
Namyi Sun (namyisun): Very polite and helpful! Had a nice selection of Korean foods and some misc household items as well.
David Jones: Corner grocer feel. Fresh foods and produce is sparse. But Asian snack selection is wonderful. Good hold over between trips to the larger Asian markets. *tip: walk very close to the door as the sensor won't pick you up at normal range.
Retzel: Seems well stocked with all the essential Asian / Korean items. Lots of staff around cleaning and keeping things nice. Friendly.
Lily: Good selection for Korean items. Some things are more expensive than bigger Asian marts but it is clean and has many items that other marts don't have since it's mainly Korean focused
Kathy W: Perfect place to come for Asian groceries. I buy a lot of staples here: bok choy, soy sauce, shrimp.
Jean Duckworth: One of my favorite places in all of STL for Asian groceries. While it is mainly Korean goods (as you can tell by the Korean language on the tenant sign), I have gone in plenty of times finding Japanese, Chinese, and Thai goods. While it is smaller than some of the other international markets in the STL area, that is one of its greatest positives. I find myself getting lost in the larger markets trying to find an item that you think is in one place but is actually in another or running into employees not knowing where specific items are located at because there are so many products in their stores. When I go to Asia Market, I never run into those issues. It’s easy to find what you are looking for and if you are looking for something specific, the employees know exactly where it is. Highly recommend!

Olive Supermarket: what do users think?
yungky ricky: 黑心
Ray Ga: There is no return policy listed anywhere, I brought something that tasted stale to me. They would not return the product. I took one bite and took it back that min. They would not allow it and had no policy. I didn’t appreciate that. I asked to get in contact with the store owner they ignored me. That was an employee not the store manager herself. The store manager was pleasant however I do not appreciate the fact they do not have that listed. The store manager said for now on she will have it posted. The item I had was 5 dollars of 64. I will put at 4 store when the owner puts their return policy at customer services.
Betsy Reed: Trying new foods this is the place .. Ramens are the best here.. if you like spicy 🔥🔥🔥 here's the place to get them... So many ging in this store not just food but everything for the kitchen,
Jagun: I've been all over the world and used to all sorts of attitudes. Yesterday was the first time my humanity was tested and it all happened at this store. The Store managent will be wise to re-educate and socialize most of their workers on customer service and cultural pluralism. Else, I see nothing but problems in their future. The seafood stall attendant needs particular attention. He is the sole reason I won't shop here ever again. Seafood City folks are more cultured and much more welcoming to ALL kinds of people. I hope they open back up soon.
Ni San: Nice store, they have plenty of everything
F MA: Will never shop here again! A lady racially profiled me . Lady searched my purse at the counter. I had never had anyone do that to before when I came here. I live a block away and walk here frequently .They know I always pay. She didn’t find anything of course because I don’t need to steal ! and kept saying sorry sorry. You should be sorry. You just lost my business and I’m gladly going to put this review up.
Explorers: The place that has fresh herbs and spices at all times. They've got a great collection of pots and pans if you're running a kitchen or need it for home. The supermarket definitely stocks a lot of Asian goods and has reasonable pricing when compared to local grocery stores such as Walmart and Schnucks. The major downside is that the place smells of a disinfectant that has a real bad odor no matter what time you choose to walk in. No complaints otherwise.
Jenny Lee: Good selection of Chinese food and teas. BUT the smell is strong and what’s up with the lights!?? Put some money back in the store please!!
Irish Racion: It's a big international grocery store. I love the fresh live seafood. They have squid, octopus, crabs, lobsters, fish, clams and more. Live catfish and tilapia. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. If you're a fan of milk tea, there's one just outside the door of this store. Price is reasonable. Their restroom is clean btw. I would definitely come back here.
Bing Xue: Arrive 10mins before closing time, and their staff don’t let me in. Ridiculous!
carlos enrique manrique cubides: Gran surtido de tienda
Jiang John (机缘巧合): 现在的价格都很高的。
Audrey B: You can get most of the fresh vegetables and meat (chicken, pork, beef, and offal) Chinese use in their dishes. Lots of condiments but some might be in short supply. Lots of childhood snacks, but do check the expiration date. Diverse supply of cookware: pots pans steam pressure etc.Students get 5% off with your student ID!
tamieko Rinck: Cbe tea studio and the Asian grocery store are a must go. So cool to look at all the interesting foods
Doug Bullock: Everything you need for Asian cooking is here
Thistle King: Really good Asian market but it’s always super busy so be prepared to wait in line to buy things. Bubble tea is very good as well.
Jo Jo: Very interesting my first time going.
Johnson Lancaster: A bustling place. We visited in search of miso paste, sesame oil and sake. We were successful and it was very affordable.
Crystal Thomas: I love buying my seafood at the Asian market and everytime I go I see and buy something else I like that I can't fine in our regular grocery stores.
David Cori: I can never find merchandise and if I am lucky enough to find an employee, they always seem to not speak english.
Khang Mai: wouldn’t recommend getting the frozen cut lamb for hot pot. It’s extremely gamey and was basically mutton.they keep moldy pho in the fridges alsoI’m also pretty sure prices are higher hereThey will also lock the doors right before close.

Que Huong Market: what do users think?
Heidi: Very friendly and helpful owner. He didn't have an item I was looking for but recommended somewhere I could check, and I still found lots of items for great prices at his shop.
Dung Tran: Great little neighborhood store.
Devon da Critic: Nice Guy, but place was dark and needed to be cleaned & organized.
Kimberly Rosa: Terrible store. Everything is overpriced. Most of the stuff is expired and shouldn’t be sold. Rude owners. Not a place that you can shop because the door is always locked. If you’re unlucky enough and they let you in you can expect to be insulted and ripped off. The business that comes there is mostly for passports and visas for Vietnam, and they charge way too much for that too. We didn’t get the seats we requested and paid for (1st class). Instead, the seats were economy. Won’t go back.
Wanda Mason: No big deal I always go into this store
Dan Holstein: Great folks, nothing ever seems to be sold when I go there .
Carl Whittaker: Dark and rude
Maleah Lee: Employees are great but it's not very clean

East Seoul Oriental Store: what do users think?
Natalie Russell: This place is great I got the steak sandwich and ate every bite. Next time I came I got the penne pasta with chicken. Was so good!
Mushii Luvs: Had a lot of things I've been wanting to try out! Definitely recommend, they do take food stamps as well for anyone else that was curious 💕
Daniel Voyles: Great little Asian grocery store for most anything you need. I found some interesting seasonings I can't wait to try and good bulk rice.
Ronnie Reese: Been shopping here since the last location and they have always been so nice. A bit leery of me when i first came in but after a while, they got excited when i would come by. The only place in st. Louis that carries my favorite Green Plum Juice and the best banchan ever!
Vincent Sharp: Very very clean
Noob Didn't: This is a really good store I got stuff to make a rice ball and the rice ball was good and the employees are nice. They have good stuff there. The picture is black sesame soy milk
smol man: THE OWNER IS A NATIONAL TREASURE AND IS SUPER NICE
Yasse Dick-Blewoussi: Live Korean cuisine and this is the perfect market to go get ingredients.
Namyi Sun (namyisun): Recently discovered this gem!On the smaller side but had quite a selection on its neatly stocked shelves.Super friendly and extremely helpful - offered to assist in locating an unstocked product online and took my groceries to my car, as I had my elderly mother with me.Will absolutely return!
SH J: Really nice surprise— reasonable prices, friendly staff and good selection. Randomly had two nice water fountains and a very clean and well kept bathroom with a nice scent. Best i’ve been to in st louis!
Eugene Kinney: It's been forever and a day since I've been. So obviously a lot has changes. But things were still easy to find, prices always affordable, and the employees were super friendly.
Joy C: Check the expiration date. Many items are near expiration. The condense milk I bought didn’t have an expiration date on the cane which I assumed was wiped away. I knew that it may have been expired for maybe a few months, but when I opened it, you can tell it’s been expired for YEARS.
Honey Di: Was finally able to visit their new location.
Hyeon-ju Yoo: 가게가 생각보다 넓지않고 물건들이 다양하게는 없지만 그래도 왠만한 한국 식료품들, 물건들은 살수있어요. 주인분이 아주 친절하셨던걸로 기억합니다
Jeanine Oh: Just moved into town, and needed all the basic korean spices and ingredients for cooking. They have everything you could need for korean recipes. The owner was very kind, she gave me suggestions to different Korean restaurants and to a Korean salon. She was very kind and courteous. Will definitely be returning to this market!!
Nori Elisabeth Fahrig: They are the most well stock Korean and Japanese goods store I've been to since moving from Boston. Store is clean and prices are reasonable. So glad I found this store it even had my konnyaku I needed for my pork miso soup!
C C: Very easy to find what I was looking for, quick, quiet and well organized with friendly people!
Lily: My favorite cookie when I lived in Korea was Margarets. Couldn't find them anywhere but there was a box here! They have a good selection, me and my husband enjoyed looking around. 드디어 마가렛트을 찾아서 기뻐요😃
Lim Byungkyu: 많은 상품들이 준비되있네요사장님이 친절하십니다화장실은 실내에 있음
Vince Perniciaro: Terrific store. Great stock.
Y Kim: It is very clean and nice. You can find the stuff really easy and you also get help all the time.

Chino: Best place for korean goods!
Aggie Lee: I love it!

호동호동: There is many korean foodproduct. But, a little bit expensive.
Jeremy Tapp: Friendly staff! Tonny's k-food never disappoints.
Y.H KIM: 친절해요
Stephen McKee: A fair selection of Asian food products, but it's quite run down, and the horrible religious music is off-putting.
Brenda Otterson: Clean; very helpful staff, nice variety of items.
Alan J. Steinberg: Outstanding in all respect. Helps to speak Korean. I bring photo’s in my cell phone for items that I want to buy.
Anna K: This store is phenomenal. Exactly what I was looking for. I moved from South City to Maryland Heights last year and missed having Jay International close by. This hits all of my desires. I needed a place to buy cheap kimchi, Samyang fire noodles, kewpie mayo, rice seasoning, and so much more. Very friendly staff and the restaurant attached is amazing too.
Cody Quist: CLOSED!!! I wish this was updated so that I didn't drive 40 minutes to get there (we live in Lincoln county) just to find out they aren't in business anymore
Jay: Great place to get Korean ingredients. The staff is always friendly and helpful.
Kristen Chen: Friendly staff.
Sung Eun Park: Not the cleanest store and customer service is lacking.I only go there because Kim's bakery is there. Other than that, I would prefer Asian Market nearby.
Andrew Musholt: Had the Kimchi Fried Rice and the Burgoli, and washed it down with some bubble tea. Amazing food!
Megan Gilliam: A cute little market packed with lots of items.

Burmese Market LLC: what do users think?
Key Mung: The best play to buy my country Food
Kevin Xu: Tiny shop that is easily missed while driving on South Grand, but this probably the only Burmese grocery store in the metropolitan area (and brings some new energy to a stretch of Dutchtown that has a lot of vacancies and abandoned storefronts). The inventory is small with regards to produce and meats, but the store gets the job done if you’re looking for specialty items like ingredients for tea salad (fermented tea leaves, fried onions/beans for toppings) or the myriad of fish/shrimp pastes that can be used for soups (ie., mohinga). The owner is a cook who previously worked in kitchens throughout Southeast Asia and hopes to open up a component of the store that’ll have cooked food one day 🤞
