Saucy Porka Midtown: what do users think?
Evalyn Tyler: Went in for a snack and left with a meal! Everything was so good and flavorful we just kept ordering more and more!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Jayden Phillips: Dine-in experience: Seat yourself and use a QR qode on a smartphone to get the menu and order from your phone, and they bring it out to you. You pay right from the start when you order, so there's no waiting around for a check. We ordered the mango margarita and blackberry bubbly to drink. 2 Chorizo egg rolls, which we'd order again. My partner had a Puerto Rican rice bowl, and I had 2 Tofu Baco and 1 pork Baco, which were amazing! The buns are so fluffy and fresh, and everything has such great flavor. Also tried the Nutella donuts which were OK. Love the atmosphere. Big windows, good lighting, nice music.Vegetarian options: Tofu baco is a favorite and I don't eat tofu on the regular.
Alanna Jones: I was in town visiting STL and was eyeing this place before my trip to try out. The atmosphere is amazing. I love how I can sit myself, scan the table code and order at my leisure. Love that. And the decor, aesthetic, and overall ambiance is great. Where this restaurant is lacking is flavor in their food. The textures were great but the flavors were very flat. Thank good for the tostones sauce because otherwise, not good. And the Ropa Vieja, it was spicy but no depth of flavors. Nothing had any depth. I was really hoping for a small unique place with a variation of flavors in the food, but it just wasn’t there. And be careful of the teas, they are EXTREMELY SWEET. If you’re looking for an herbal refreshing teas that are light on sugar, don’t order these. Get water instead.
Kelly Potter: First time visitor, will be back! The bacos are slightly sweet with bright flavor pairings. I tried the shrimp, duck, chicken and pork. Each one left me wanting more!Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Parking space Difficult to find parking …More

The Watcher Wallace: I really enjoyed everything I tried so far from here! It's a sure place to visit if you have not been before!!
Pat Green: Delicious food, when they say make it spicy they mean it hahaFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free street parking, Paid street parking …More
Andrew Albright: The bacos are outstanding, the eggrolls are otherworldly, and the dipping sauces should be sold in grocery stores nationwide.Let's not forget that the prices are absurdly cheap given how expensive everything is lately. There's a good amount of solid food choices in STL, but for me, this place shines above them all.Top 5 places I've been in the US.
nishe abellana: Everything was sooooo good! The atmosphere and ambiance were pretty chill and trendy. I'm definitely coming back. The staff was also great and welcoming.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Puerto Rican Rice Bowl, Sweet Potato Fries, Tostones …More

J. R. Humphry: We did take out.Everything was very good.Cheerful staff.Vegetarian options: Some are also vegan.
Teresa Cooke: Monkey Fries were delicious! The bowls looked spicy, but definitely weren’t. Hibiscus Tea was surprisingly not overpowering like I thought it would be. Quite refreshing!
Chris Coletti: Recommended dishes Puerto Rican Rice BowlMore
Maggie Rayasam: I could eat these Bacos every day!! Get one of each you won't be disappointed! The Picadillo fries were hot and crispy with tasty Picadillo meat! The eggs rolls were crispy and lots of filling! My favorite was the Duck Baco! The restaurant is very thoughtfully decorated. Comfy seating and most importantly the service was friendly, fast and knowledgeable! Don't miss this place or the Nutella Donut bites!
Austin Patton: In my eyes, this place really deserves something between 4 and 5 stars, but I'd say it's closer to 4 than 5 so here we are.The concept of this place is great! I've never tried Latin-Asian fusion before and was skeptical prior to trying it, but I was not disappointed! I tried five things: a tempura baco, the duck baco, a chorizo egg roll, the picadillo egg roll, and the Mexican pho with shrimp. I didn't dislike any of the things that I tried, but the only thing that really "wowed" me was the chorizo egg roll. Personally, I thought the tempura baco needed a little sauce or maybe some lemon juice on top, but otherwise no complaints.

Ari Pendell: Just friggin' fantastic!
Amaris Peters: Was a bit confused when my dinner date and I tried to go indoors, only to find that the entirety of the interior building was the kitchen. Apparently they only serve for curbside pickup and takeout. However a friendly hostess who was taking orders out front showed us a paper menu and encouraged us to order online for pickup, which we did. The food arrived promptly to us waiting out front and accurate to what we ordered. Our dishes (my companion got the chicken bibimbap and I got the sizzling beef) included an array of delicious and colorful ingredients, packaged neatly for takeout, and proved to be a filling and delightful customer experience. The food and friendliness will definitely secure our decision to return in the future!
Jamie Wirsig: Unique and delicious! I can’t wait until they open back up on August.
Christine Horan: Amazing food
Liliny23: Great service
Sherry Nelson Thomas: Highly recommend the Dan Dan noodles and curry too!
DEAN DUONG: Great food 😋
Frank Popper: Highly recommend the seared tuna it’s extraordinary. Kounter Kulture is a treasure to our city.
R Hill: Absolutely fantastic! Delicious food and top notch staff! Thank you guys! See you next Monday....
Ginny Roehl: Love this place! So sad it is not open (for time being). Can't wait for re-open.
Michael Holohan: This group has it together. We ordered on line super easy. Pick up super simple. Crew super receptive when we drove up our order was spot on when promised time wise. At home absolutely fantastic meal. Covid sucks the wind out of many food establishments but this crew has it together for sure. Please keep up your good work. We will be back often.
Alyssa Carter: What a treasure, the food is superb and what local sourcing is about in my opinion. Tasty, creative and original. The soups are outstanding, food flavor filled and fresh. Urge you to give it a try. While waiting for your order the folks are kind and gracious, warm, almost reverent ambience as if you are waiting to get something special..and you are
Xenon Lmao: Hi. Food great. Especially everything.
Bryan Boettiger: Absolutely fantastic.
Edith Drake: This was the spot we chose for lunch. The food was amazing! And the service was some of the best Ive had in the city.
Makenna Gooldy: One of the best dishes I’ve ever had. SO bummed you had no steam buns or spring rolls on the menu /: I also LOVE that you use sustainable packaging.. THANK YOU.
Ellen Christensen: Everything was amazingly delicious! And they threw in an extra dish for us to try! Excellent food and above and beyond service. We will be back.
Howard Jones: Kounter Kulture proved a delightful surprise. Small restaurant, huge flavor, sophisticated cooking and presentation. The descriptions of the food on the menu didn't come close to doing it justice. For instance, what was described as an "Heirloom Tomato Salad" surely had one of the finest salad dressings we'd ever consumed, even compared to some of the Michelin Star restaurants we've eaten at.Even the dipping sauces for such things as the shrimp appetizer had been mixed with great care, and kicked the food up several levels. The main courses were incredible as well. The meats were well-seasoned before they'd been cooked, appropriately (salmon was clearly prepared differently from the chicken), with delightfully fresh vegetables. If we didn't live so far away (we visited from out of state) we'd surely be returning next week. Our server was incredibly kind to us, and when I mentioned that we'd gotten drenched while visiting the nearby botanical garden, she offered towels and threw in some extra food for the long wet trip back home.It was an experience we won't forget, and we will make Kounter Kulture a must-stop the next time we find ourselves in St. Louis.

B “Barewithme” Ware: Sushi rice tasted like fried rice. Sushi rice was dry. Sashimi was not fresh. It got a fishy aftertaste. Overrated and overpriced. Save your money and go somewhere else. It has gone down the hill.
Alex Besmer: Indo is not merely a restaurant, it's a captivating culinary voyage that transports your palate straight to the vibrant flavors of Southeast Asia. Situated in the charming Tower Grove neighborhood of St. Louis, this gem of a place stands as a testament to the extraordinary culinary genius of the owners, whose legacy at Nixta is evident in every nuanced flavor profile that Indo offers.Stepping inside Indo is like entering a dimly lit sanctuary of gastronomic delight. The decor is sleek, elegant, and subtly Asian, exuding a sense of understated sophistication. The intimate, albeit somewhat cramped, setting makes it an ideal haunt for those special, romantic occasions. If you're seeking a dining space bathed in bright light, you might find Indo's ambiance a tad too subdued. Yet, it's precisely this dark, cozy environment that adds to the charm and mystique of this extraordinary establishment. The food, however, is where Indo truly shines. It is a symphony of flavors, a culinary kaleidoscope that leaves you mesmerized. The Spicy Tuna Handroll is a revelation; it dances on your tongue and entices your palate with its invigorating spice. The Yellowtail Sashimi, a treat for seafood enthusiasts, is arguably the best in St. Louis. This delicacy is a testament to the quality of fish at Indo, and it could even rival some of the best New York has to offer. The Gyoza and Shrimp Toast are each a sensory delight, their textures and flavors perfectly harmonizing to create a gastronomic masterpiece. The Cabbage Salad is an exercise in simplicity, yet it bursts with a freshness that will make you fall in love with greens all over again. The Palm Sugar Ribs are a succulent treat, while the Sake Yaki and Vegetable Crunchy Rice provide a hearty, fulfilling experience. However, the star of the show is undoubtedly the hand rolls. Delectable enough to warrant ordering at least two per person, they are the epitome of Indo's culinary excellence.Indo is not just a top-tier Asian restaurant in Missouri, but it undoubtedly stands as a beacon of exceptional South Asian cuisine in the Midwest. It is an experience that transcends dining, offering a journey through an exotic landscape of flavors and textures. This isn't just a meal; it's a culinary adventure that promises to delight and surprise at every turn.
Maria: Everything was beautiful. The server was sweet. The ambiance was stunning. The staff was upfront about the added 20% gratuity rate & 2 hour meal limit (which is gracious). The food is flavorful. The rooms were very inviting and intimate with plenty of elbow room and space for dishes. The servers are knowledgeable about their dishes and make great recommendations. I would recommend.
Alyssa Kelsey: Food was beyond delicious!! First time trying and it did not disappoint whatsoever. If you’re reading this trying to decide to eat here or not… Make the reservation!!!Recommended dishes Sake Sashimi, Chili Garlic Noodles, Cabbage Salad, Gyoza …More
josh knight: I have been twice now the first time in Jan 2022 and the second in early 2023. the first time was amazing even the things that I didn't like the people with me thought were amazing. the second time I felt the food quality had slipped though nothing else had changed I would still say it was really good but the drop in quality is unfortunate. the service, atmosphere and decore were still good just the food seemed not as good.
Lauren Kanter: One of my favorite restaurants in stl. Amazing food and interesting dishesRecommended dishes Chili Garlic Noodles, Shrimp Toast, Yellowtail Sashimi, Crispy Tofu …More
Clint Agee: The food is a culinary experience. Everything we had was delicious. Creative and unique cocktails. Outrageously expensive and small portions.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options
Madeline Hassett: So good!Dietary restrictions: They were able to accommodate an uncommon dietary restriction, garlic, wonderfully. Everything was delicious.
Natalie Lassak: Overall, the atmosphere was nice and food was delicious. Tried the Short Rib Curry which was super good but our roti came out burnt. No idea how they can charge $60 for an entree and bring the bread out BURNT.
Darrell Loo: During my recent visit to St. Louis, I had the pleasure of dining at Indo, a restaurant I hadn't been to since before the pandemic. Indo offers a delightful selection of Southeast Asian-inspired dishes and Japanese hand rolls, which made for a truly exciting culinary experience. We indulged in numerous starters, a few items from the raw section, and some shared plates. Our server was attentive and thoughtful, skillfully coursing out our dinner. The Isaan Hamachi, featuring yellowtail with candied garlic, Thai kosho, and coconut naam pla, was a standout dish. The fish was fresh, and the combination of citrus and spice created a perfectly balanced flavor profile. The Massachusetts scallops were cooked to perfection, elevated by the accompanying lump crab, shrimp butter sauce, and sweet pea purée. The Laarb, composed of lamb tartare, spices, and candied peanuts, was another highlight of our meal. The tokujo uni toast, which showcased sea urchin on milk bread, was yet another delectable bite. Our meal also included a variety of other dishes: cabbage salad, gyoza, shrimp toast, crispy tofu, palm sugar ribs, Japanese eggplants and hamachi kama. We shared the laksa, Indo's creative spin on the classic Southeast Asian noodle dish. Their version featured mussels, prawns, ikura, and chili oil in a rich red curry broth, which was bold, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, we ordered coconut apple rice pudding and grape soda ice cream (the flavor of the day), while our server kindly brought out a miso banana upside-down cake as well. The ice cream was intriguing and delightful, while the tender texture of the banana cake paired beautifully with the sweet and savory soy condensed milk. Our entire dining experience at Indo was truly enjoyable, and we are grateful to our server and the rest of the staff for making it such a memorable meal!

Anthony Frisella: We have eaten here several times. My main complaint is value. This is not fine dining with attentive service and lavish dishes. I found it hard to stomach the $280 price tag for our meal for two, and was shocked at the $60 price of a short rib entree. The dining room is cramped and the chairs are uncomfortable. Server was knowledgeable but otherwise unexceptional. Our appetizers--gyoza, potatoes, shrimp toast-were OK with the exception of the shrimp toast, which was interesting and tasty. The hand rolls are unquestionably good, but somewhat difficult to eat in their taco form. I appreciated the quality of the fish, and the garnishes on were also positive. Overall, this would've been a fine experience for $150, but not $280.
Consuelo Williams: iNDO was formerly an incredible dining experience on all fronts pre-pandemic, but has since fallen downhill. Their current standards of service seem to no longer take into account actual customer needs and desires and ignore basic principles of a high end service operation that are necessary to sustain customer loyalty. The front of house staff desperately needs an attitude check because they’re doing a major disservice to the kitchen. Severely disappointed.
Jonathan Nelson: So wow’d by this place. I had the perfect dinner here with my brother at the bar. Hospitality, ambience, alcohol selection, and of course the food was all top notch. A great meal tastes even better when it’s served by a staff that operates together with the shared vision of creating an experience for the guest. The yellowtail sashimi plate is out of this freaking world.

klesyd: My husband and I ate here one weekend while visiting St Louis. The next weekend my daughter and i drove 2.5 hours back to St Louis so we could eat here again. We spent the night in the city and stopped back by Kalbi for 2 more burritos before making the 2.5 hour drive back home. Yep, its that good!! I've ate multiple things here but the burrito stands out as the best to me. I love the sweet and spicy chicken burrito. The owners are so friendly too. They were tickled when I told them how fast we had drove to eat there. We highly recommend you try them. Asian meets mexican... so good!!!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian protein optionsParking: Covered garage
Young Wise Humble Entertainment Llc: Best for in foundry. People are loving and nice like family and know how to feed my heart. When I come to Kalbi s I get a great experience every time. The employees are nice and very helpful and make sure that my allergies get taken care of. Make sure that there's nothing in my food. I would not want to eat or could not eat. Overall, I think this is a very humble and nice and generous place and I will be visiting again and I love this experience that I have and most definitely will be back.
Annali L: best food ever
Eric S: This food is junk. I think they misplaced their salt shaker with sugar. On top of that my wife's order wasn't even correct, but SO SORRY!!! All sales are final.Well so is my review.
Rachelle Sears: No, just no. Everything was really sweet. The salsa was sweet like they mixed up the salt with sugar. Sweet and spicy chicken was all sweet, no heat. Same for the sweet and spicy pork. Still trying to figure out how the Buffalo chicken zing was sweet. If this is how it's supposed to taste, then it's just not for me and that's okay. If you like to put spoonfuls of sugar in your salsa then this is the place for you! Good thing there are other options near by.
Stephen Dolle: They gave me a different side than I ordered and instead of doing what any normal restaurant would do and swap out the slaw for kimchi they decided to say no you ordered that even though I didn't... poor service many better options at the foundry.
A STEED: Was good even if a bit pricey. Must enjoy spicy food and an abundance of rice more than meat. Be sure to mention it's Togo or you get a nasty look at the pickup window.Food: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5Recommended dishes Rice Bowl Parking space Somewhat difficult to find parking Parking options Free parking lot …More
DJ Joe Freshboy: My meal was indeed tasty and enjoyable. However, I would tend to agree with another reviewer on the price to quantity ratio disparity. For the portions you would receive at Qdoba, Chipotle, or your local taqueria, you’ll pay 1.5x more here. But, the selection of protein offerings are clearly more diverse here. Also felt ripped off with the ‘chips’ in the chips and salsa. They were definitely store bought tortilla strips you would find in bulk at Costco, Sam’s Club. I’ve always had fresh chips served that were made in-house when frequenting any Mexican restaurant. The salsa was wonderful though.
Tyler Chrestman: Sweet & Spicy Chicken Quesadilla- This one was good. Had just a little bit of spice to it, but was not overwhelming. 4/5Teriyaki Chicken Quesadilla- Delicious. This was my favorite thing that I have tried from the restaurant yet. 5/5
carmen smith: THESE TACOS ARE HORRIBLE! I BOUGHT 2 BEEF RIBS AND 2 OTHERA I THREW AWAY! THEY WERE TO SWEET WAY TOO MUCH JUICE MAKING THE TACO WAY TOO SOGGY! BOUGHT TO SODA AND THE TOPS WERE FILTHY, BUT THE LADY IN ALL THE PICTURES EXPLAINED TO ME THATS HOW THEY COME AND I SAID IF YOU KNOW THATS HOW THEY CONE WHY NOT CLEAN THEM so paying customers don't have to ask you to do it!.
Cody Cummings: I love Kalbi Taco Shack! Their Korean BBQ inspired take on classic Mexican dishes like burritos and tacos makes for a highly enjoyable fusion. The menu is incredibly flexible, so you should be able to find some combination of flavors that fit your palate. Their service is great and they get food out to you quickly even during high traffic days. If you like jack fruit, you need to try their jack fruit tacos!
CD Kels: Kalbi Taco has amazing burritos. I also love ordering the tacos and rice bowl.
Hal Stults: The beef short rib tacos are the best I've ever had. Better than Garbo's in Key West. This place is well worth finding.
Anonymous Anonymous: Amazing!! Highly recommended. Will be back
Jerrica Owens: Absolutely DELICIOUS! My first time eating here and I loved it! I got the rice bowl with sweet and spicy chicken amazing, I don’t feel overly stuffed it was just right. And the chips and homemade salsa is to die for! 10 stars! I highly recommend this place! Very nice and friendly people!
Sarah Hernandez: Had the sweet potato and sweet and spicy pork. Both were very good, I'd probably just do sweet potato but they only sell them in sets of 2. I paid $26 for 3 tacos and a 16oz boba tea, plus tip. I feel like that's pretty pricy for just one meal, but it was definitely tasty.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sweet Potato Tacos …More
Dylan Costo: Tacos are good, not great not terrible, however I can’t recommend it because the price, 15$ for a quesadilla, 5$ per taco, each taco as small as you can make it. Save your money.
A B: Food was a little on the pricey side, however, it was so tasty. My bf is very picky so I knew it was worth it being that he liked it . The beef tacos was great. You get two of them they were $16. Would highly advise going a little earlier as they do run out of food due to it being worth the cost.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Beef Short …More

Gina M: Amazing find in the food hall. The short rib tacos were the best, better than the short rib bowl. The sweet and spicy pork tacos were also amazing. Would skip getting the rice bowls next time. Jamie Chaplin: After a long drive down from Chicago to St Louis, my wife and I settled into our hotel and started to have a look for a restaurant in St Louis. We was staying in St louis for a total of 2 nights and Being from England we obviously didn't know the area but we do love Thai food so we opted for Sen Thai and I'm so happy we did. The first night we went we was seated at the bar, the ambience of the restaurant is perfect, not loud, not quite, comfortable and spacious. The food is absolutely beautiful, I had the Lobster roll on the first night and OH MY GOD blew my mind how good it was, but I had the Calamari the next visit and the crunchy California roll and again it was as good as the lobster roll. My wife is a vegetarian so its hard to find places to suit her needs but Sen Thai catered for everyone and even she loved everything she ordered. We went to Sen Thai for the 2 nights we were in St Louis, we then travelled to Nashville and then to Memphis where we should of stayed 2 nights but instead we opted to stay 1 night in Memphis and then drive all the way back to St louis mainly because we wanted to complete the St Louis to Oklahoma part of Route 66 but it was easy decision because we got to spend another night at Sen Thai. Its been over a year now since our visit and still I think to this restaurant and how much I love it and how much I would love to open one in my home town because I do believe that they have the perfect balance, the restaurant was perfect the food was out of this world and the were drinks spot on!! I'm wondering if Sen Thai would do a work relocation for their sushi chef lol
spencer simpson: The Unagi Don was not very good. The eel was drenched in bbq and like slop, there was so much wasabi in the bowl it was hard to work around without getting a huge bite of it. The Korean flavors are spot on, the kimchi, rice and pork combo in a burrito is strange but very delicious and satisfying. The pork was the only meat I had, but I had ordered it multiple times because it was just so darn good. Also, the queso is absolutely amazing. It's more like liquid cheese versus a watery cheese-like sauce. It's very good.

MG: My go to place 3
Cody Cummings: Seoul Tacos is one of the few lunch spots open on Mondays, and it’s a pretty quick way to get a lot of tasty food quickly if you’re limited on time. Parking is a challenge, but if you live or work around the grove then it’s an easy option. I tried the spicy pork burrito and my wife got the Gogi bowl with steak. The spicy pork burrito was packed with flavor, and everything was fairly balanced in a way that each bite tasted the same, unlike other burrito places that seem to find a way to give you pockets of differing flavors. The Gogi bowls are pretty big, and the meat portion is generous. The egg was unforgivably fully cooked, so there was no mixing the yolk into the rice, but other then that it was pretty delicious. The waffle fries are some of the best sweet potato fries I’ve had in the city, and while I initially balked at the price, I was happy with the investment in the end. Pro tip: get some gochujang on the side for the fries, and thank me later.
Anirudh Ashok: Was recommended this place by a friend.Got the Gogi bowl with tofu and fried rice and the sweet potato waffle fries. Great fried rice and the gojuchang paste was really tasty and spicy. The sweet potato fries were really delicious. The only problem we had with this place was that almost everything had eggs mixed into it and my girlfriend could not eat anything but the sweet potato waffle fries with sriracha sauce. Wish they had a vegan substitute for these sauces. A tough place to find anything to eat for vegan food enthusiasts. Would definitely recommend visiting at least once if you’re in St. Louis. The ambience was great and the staff were really nice and courteous!

ankita lodhavia: Disclaimer - I'm vegetarian ( won't consume eggs/fish products) so my review is based on the food with modifications.I got the Goji bowl with Tofu and plain white rice, the waffle fries and the muchwrap supreme. My partner got the Goji bowl with fried rice(which has egg)The food was a little bland to our liking and the bowls could have a few more ingredients. The wrap was delicious however, and I'm pretty sure, without the mods, might be really tasty.Overall-it was an OK experience.

Zach King: Update 2023: This place has taken a full 180 from a year ago. Workers are great, inviting and the food is more consistent than ever.Update: Food seems to be more consistent now with each time I order. This Seoul Taco is by far the worst Seoul Taco location all caused by the staff not caring and obviously management not doing anything about it. I have been to this location for probably close to 200 times and I always get the same thing, a gogi bowl. The only consistent thing about it is that the meat is always seasoned well (the reason I keep coming back) other than that the bowls are never the same. They always pre cook the eggs so they end up being a hard egg, not the sunny side up as it should be. Out of those 200 times I have ordered this bowl I always get it with Seoul sauce, out of those times they have not put it on the bowl at least 150 of those orders. They also have the audacity to charge 50 cents for a tablespoon of that sauce that you may or may not get. I truly think that if the owner would audit this location he would be deeply upset with the quality of food that is coming out of there.

Shiyue Rong: ⚠️Please read this carefully before you make reservation⚠️⚠️As a Chinese, I would say each dish should worth at least 10$ less based on its quantity and ingredient.⚠️The most ridiculous one is the potstickers(normal dumplings), 4⃣️dumplings with normal sauce cost 15$? You can get at least a bowl of 10-15 dumplings in any Chinese restaurant for about 15$. The dumplings here even taste like the frozen one from any supermarket.⚠️The entrees we order are also disappointing. 6⃣️pieces duck breast cost $41??? Even the meat is not totally cooked. Again, you could get this amount of pieces in any Chinese restaurant for about 20$.⚠️Char Siu Hen(Chicken steak): It's just like a normal lunch box which only worth no more than $20. Besides the cooked skin, the meat inside is also not fully flavored, don't think it deserves 32$...‼WOULD NEVER COME AGAIN‼(Unless you just want to take pictures)
Marguerite Mondello: I purchased a gift card for my boss but when it was presented, it was not honored even after I sent proof of purchase. It was embarrassing.

Sara Williamson: I have been to Akar probably 10-15 times and the food is always excellent. The lamb shank is some of the best food in Saint Louis. It is for this reason that we decided to take our out of town friends here for nye dinner to show them the best of Saint Louis. The dinner was wonderful until I asked for a box for my half eaten lamb shank, which the box never arrived for. Eventually I asked if the box was coming, but was told it was thrown away and there was nothing on it. Now I don't normally like to dispute that, but I intentionally left about half of the meal to eat later. The waiter did apologize a couple of times, but nothing was done to rectify the issue. I think this was most likely a fluke as I have never had an issue before, but I was left feeling disappointed. I sincerely hope this does not happen to others, and was a one time thing.
Erick: Lovely dining experience with cozy and intimate setting - indoor dining space is quite limited but as a result, it feels quite homey. The tamarind ribs appetizer was sinfully delicious and had no right to be that tasty. Easily would order a full slab if available. The catch of the day (barramundi) was much more reserved but equally as delicious. Would recommend for a lovely date night out!
Caitlin McMahan: Excellent experience for us! My husband and I are from Atlanta and we walked in, not knowing that there were set times for us to reserve to eat there. They were understanding and said that we could sit at the bar until the next reserved guest came in. The bar was the best seat in the house because we truly got to talk about food with our server and others around us. We ordered the pea soup, lobster rangoon, pot stickers, cha sui chicken, and the chicken pho. The food was flavorful. Many of the dishes had complex flavors that made you go wow. Our cocktails and mocktail were delicious. This place is worth making a reservation at and you do not want to miss anything that is happening here.
Avery: A intimate experience with amazing food. Every single bite was an explosion of flavor. The spare rib fell right off the bone. The blossom cocktail was delicious. All of the vegetables were all cooked to perfection. I didn't know mashed peas could be so delicious. The roasted carrots and eggplant were great as well. It was expensive but worth every penny.
Nick Wheeler: Among the best meals I’ve ever had. I recommend the walnut dip as an appetizer and the lamb shank if it’s still on special.
