Art Of Aquaria: what do users think?
Aaron Dunajcik: I really want to support a local fish store but starting to see a real pattern of buying sick fish from here. Part of it's on me for not having a dedicated quarantine tank but they certainly don't quarantine or use preventative meds. Just bought a really cool Betta and a couple of Cory Cats and the Betta and 1 Cory is dead along with several of my long time healthy Cardinals and Kuhlis. Betta was healthy and lively till he got in with the other fish then the fin rot set in. Treated with salt and Kanaplex but was too late as multiple fish had already died. Had issues in the past with sick fish and never said anything, tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Shame since I avoid Tropical World for similar issues in the past. Also prices seem to be getting raised higher than other local stores.
Maria Vera: I have now been there twice. I have been there during their operating hours and there is nobody there. I would be a new customer. But I don't think I'll try this a third time....
Khalyce Lowery: Bought my spider from them, great people
Peter Loo: Always a great experience!
Dwight Williams: Love this place there’re very knowledgeable on what you need to do as a beginner into fresh water fish
Alex Skillman: Good before they closed
Joe Patterson: Great selection of fish, plants and supplies. I was there for aquarium plants. The staff was very knowledgeable in speaking about the different plants.
Brian Van Hoosier: My favorite fish store. Dj is very helpful.
Bill Schmaltz: Knowledgeable and friendly staff/owners. Great selection and best aquarium plant selection ever seen.
Denny Mk: This is an edited review. After talking to the owner about problems that occurred with the fish I bought, I got refunded.Nice people who are willing to make their customers happy. Will visit them again next time I go to St. Louis.
Paul Beck: Staff was nice, knowledgeable, and helpful
Cade Dibadj: I've bought a few fish with no knowledge and the friendly people over at Art of Aquaria have helped me take care of them. Nice, friendly staff and a great location South of Tower Grove.
Juan Vila: It hurts me to do this to a mom and pop aquarium shop but it's places like this that ruin the hobby for many people... Went in for the first time and I didn't find anything I was interested in. Some neat stickers caught my eye so I figured— you know what, let me purchase SOMETHING to support the LFS. They were priced at $3 each and I asked if I could get x4 for $10. No big deal if they couldn’t do that. I use to work at an aquarium shop and would be more than happy to either bargain or politely let customers know that the price is fixed. The individual working there (short haired blonde guy) immediately tells me “This isn’t Walmart or Homedepot, you can do that over there but not here”. I politely told him— “okay no big deal, I’m not saying this is like Walmart. I use to work at a shop and bargaining was never an issue but I totally get.”. I was actually in the process of pulling out the extra $2 to purchase them full price when the guy snapped at me again explaining that this isn’t Walmart, go somewhere else, etc etc in front of the rest of the customers. At this point I put my money back in my wallet, politely let him know that I don’t appreciate how rude he is being, and left. The only first impression this LFS accomplished is losing my trust and business. Best of luck guys.
Jeffery Guilds: The best variety of pretty much everything anyone could ever need involving fish, plants for your tank, salt water supplies and even amphibians/reptiles!Location is amazing and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They'll even test your tanks water.Best shop of its kind in town! They are available for tank installation and maintenance.Corey and DJ are always happy to Answer questions and take care of us.
Suzanne Chisum: Great place. Helpful staff. I enjoyed looking at the fish, plants and amphibians. The spiders were even interesting. South Saint Louis.
Carla Sigmund: I love this place! They are very knowledgeable and helpful. They never try to upsell us stuff we don't need. And it seems like they genuinely take good care of their fish and other critters.
Corey Fitzpatrick: This is the best aquarium store in St. Louis. And I’ve been to them all. No other store comes close to the aquatic plant and aquascape selection. Mind blowing corals, a full reptile, tarantula, and dart frog section. Tons of rare freshwater and saltwater fish. Driftwood, seiryu stone, high end aquatic shrimp. They have it all. Beautiful old building with 10 foot tin ceilings, urban jazz music in the background. Even if you don’t have a fish tank grab a drink or a bite at one of the 6 or 7 restaurants on the block, and take a stroll through the aisles like I did. You may just end up leaving with a new hobby…
Steve C: Interesting fish and other livestock. Great selection of aquascaping materials. Equipment and tanks not sold anywhere else in the area. Helpful service. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended!
Steve's Fish Room: Great selection of fish, plants, aquascaping materials, and more. Knowledgeable, hobbyist owners. Highly recommended!
Jeff Sanders: Very cool place. Lots of great fish on display
Day June: Love this spot. Just started a new tank and this is my go to shop for all my needs.Update: Tanks going great! Starting an aquascape now and just got the things I need. Excited to eventually begin a saltwater and come back. I love their saltwater fish selection. So beautiful.

Aqua World: what do users think?
onetwocue: Knowledgable guy working there. Fish are super healthy. Vacationed in st louis from iowa and they had the fish i needed. Im doing a species only tank and needed more females for breeding. I was worried about the 4 hour drive home with them. They made it home safely and are eating and doing amazing with my original fishes.
Jeff Brueckmann: Knowledgeable service at both locations, wide variety of in stock aquarium products, lots of aquariums with healthy fish and plants.
Brian Van Hoosier: A store for a true hobbiest. Their selection is versatile and priced accordingly. Sometimes the staff seems a little edgy but any questions get answered. Never had anything but success with all their plants and animals.
Catorb: Lovely little store
Kirin Pax: I don't have the words for how much I love this place & the people who work here.
rustler boyz aka45: Best customer service ever!!!! I found exactly what I wanted and more!❤️
Alan Brandt: Great fish store. High quality fish and plants.
Angie Earlywine: Hands down best place for fish, plants, etc in St. Louis, I won’t go anywhere else.Their staff are very knowledgeable about not only the fish, but the chemicals, plant care, water issues, best food options, and how to treat diseases. Their tanks are individual (vs. all connected like petco and petsmart) so no risk of getting a diseases from one of the other tanks. They check their fish constantly and would never sell a fish with any issues. Mike and Garret are very helpful on specialty fish and which fish do best together based on your tank size.Highly recommend this place.
Peter Loo: Staff is always consistent and knowledgeable.
Zach Whitehead: Incredible store with great employees. Both employees I've met have been very knowledgeable, friendly and went the extra mile to help me with any questions and suggestions they had. Best place to buy fish and aquarium equipment in St. Louis.
Alex Skillman: Great place tons of healthy fish
Jacquelynn Gillie: Friendly knowledgeable staff with a large selection of fish
Delon Johnson: Went in to grab a few items today and didn't realize how close it was to closing but was still taken care of. And the rewards program just put the icing on. Thanks Garrett if I got your name right.
Kaylee Cox: The employee was rude, wasn't helpful, and cold. I'm never going back!😡
Kayelynn Hastings: First time there today, and was so amazed by their tanks and different options of live plants! The employee that was working was so helpful and knowledgeable of the live plants and what plants were light maintenance and high maintenance. Definitely will be going back!
Joel Dupree: Fish people
Philip Gawlak - Realtor: Garret was awesome, very knowledgeable and friendly. Store was clean and well organized, all the fish and plants are obviously well cared for.I highly recommend a visit.
Denny Mk: Went there for the first time today and was very pleasantly surprised of how professional the employee was! While all aquariums appeared to have diversity of healthy fish and plants, there were two with tape on the front glass. I wanted to buy a fish from one of those tanks, taking the risk on my own, but was prevented by the same guy because they will not sell sick fish! That's a HUGE plus in my book. I think if most of the aquarium fish stores stick to this policy we'll have happier aquarists and less people giving up on fish keeping because of buying sick fish that die in few days.Ended up buying some Prime and water wisteria plant.Highly recommend this place to any aquarium fish keeper and will definitely visit them again!
Renee Chandra: Very pricey
Braelyn Hall: Great selection of plants and fish. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
DaMusicMane1: Let me start by saying the employee who I spoke with a couple of times is VERY knowledgeable about aquarium fish which I greatly appreciate, HOWEVER this particular person's demeanor towards a customer who is new to aquarium fish or learning is kind of "brash" and off-putting. I spoke with this person a couple of times and his tone was very condescending, as if I was dumb for asking questions or if I get my terminology incorrect. I called him before and it felt as if he was in rush. Just not a very pleasant, friendly experience in my opinion. To me, you can have all the knowledge in the world, but if your tone is unwelcoming, then I will avoid that person for a better experience. Now I don't know if it was because there are other factors that determine how he treats customers, but to me if I speak with respect, I expect the same in return.

William Young: Very friendly and very knowledgeable. Picked up some corals to add to my new tank very reasonable.
Kevin Ely: Great selection and knowledgeable staff.
Brad Bowyer: I have shopped many of the local reef stores and continue to return to and recommend Gateway. The store is smaller than some of the others but they get to focus on the fish, corals, and customers. I do quarantine everything I buy from all fish stores, but everything I buy from Gateway seems to be very healthy.Check out their Facebook page for walk throughs and livestock videos.
Peter Loo: Sets the standards and stays on path.
Mary Hart: One of the better reef store around
Mia Bier: The people in this service follow these living creatures teaching everyone that they are not just decorations they're living breathing lives that when you go in to adopt one of those living breathing lives that you are responsible for them the people in the store teach you how to do that and direct you in the steps that keeps these creatures in the best life that you can give them it is a sincere pleasure to know those in Gateway Aquatics for it is from whom the education that they that my other family that swim away and happiness around their little enclosures with their ecosystem healthy in the way the that taught me and I'm an eager student
shawn o'keefe: Nice and clean.
Bill Rice: Love coming in here. We drive over and hour to shop almost every other week
Spencer Hippler: Love this place! Great staff!
Renee H: Store clerk was very helpful. We were looking for frag shelves and he gave us a number of options. They were having a buy 2 get 1 free deal on frags/coral. It was a very cool little shop. There was a lot of healthy looking coral and both salt and freshwater fish. I didnt check it out, but I could see they had pond stuff on the side of the shop.Update: Went there to purchase two standard clownfish for $25/each. They had other color morphs that were a bit more pricey $65+.
Alyssa Giger: Best selection of fish, and thy we are healthy! Salt water tanks are beautiful, and inspiring to start a coral farm.
Joe Allen: Great place to go for a fish /supplies
Dan Johnson: These guys are very knowledgeable and professional!
Joseph Sage: Always my go to store! Everyone there is incredibly helpful and super knowledgeable!
Rick Abel: Best around!!

Brandon Haley: Great customer service. Very good selection of salt and freshwater supplies.
Chris B: Great store big selection for the size got 4 corals, a sailfin tang, and a lawnmower blenny they advised about the tang being in lower salinity water. I drip acclimated and all are doing great. I will definitely return again despite the hour and a half drive to get there.
David Hopple: These guys were fantastic! Knew their stuff, very patient with my many questions, and had an awesome selection. Wanted a particular fresh water fish, but they didn't have it, but took the time to figure out what I was looking for and why, and found a great substitute!! Will be back for more fish and maybe a really good canister filter!
Amanda Rusnak: Very helpful and extremely nice. Took time to explain to fix our current issue, and even offered advice to prevent it. I will be back and recommend to anyone with an outdoor water feature or fish as a hobby. The fish inside the store were beautiful everything looked clean and well taken care of.

In the pics the Red Carpet, most of the corals., and the fish came from them! Thanks Nick, Joe, and Luke for everything! Some others to but I can't remember their names!
Lauri Shedd: Seascape helped us get started with the salt water reef hobby (addiction? LOL) a few years ago and I trust all the folks who work there and the livestock I get from there. They’ve always been friendly and patient with us as we always have a lot of questions. Special shout out to Melissa and Luke who have went the extra mile for us over the years. Love you guys!

The Corner Reef: what do users think?
Marlo Ann: Always friendly and knowledgeable! Would highly recommend this store for all of your saltwater needs!
Derek Gremminger (Redtank22): Staff is always great and helpful!
William Young: Very friendly and informative. Need to stop by for some corals.
Jose Rodriguez: Simply put this store is the best store I've visited for my aquatic needs. The type of marine fish they receive and sell are amazing looking! The prices are great and the staff is second to none. They make you feel like more than a customer and go out of their way to make sure you leave excited and looking forward to coming back! Do yourself a favor and stop by!
Carl Hofer: Excellent place great atmosphere lots of value thanks 😊
Aaron Methvin: Hands down the best Reef Aquarium store in the St Louis area. Great selection of healthy fish and thriving coral. They are also the only store in the area with a fully stocked dry goods section that has every size pump, fish medication, food etc that you could need. I go here for everything other than toilet paper......
Ross Landry: Great store 1 employee Mark knew his stuff about what I needed to knowThe other employee smelled so bad management
Maria Vera: By far the best salt water dish store in Missouri!! Excellent service and very knowledgeable. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Brandon Dawson: The guy that helped me and was totally awesome and was very helpful.
Ridge Burrell: Great selection of saltwater fish and a very helpful staff that is knowledgeable on both salt and fresh
Wayne Snider: First off, consistent. They always have a ton of corals and livestock to choose from. You don't have to come back on the day the shipment is arriving, which lots of places will tell you. Secondly, quality. They always have great healthy fish and corals to choose from. Some places look like they raise aptasia, or 30 types of algae and and don't seem to care. Or have a whole wall of empty tanks. You won't encounter any of that here, they always do their best to fight any pests giving you great quality fish and coral. Third, they stock a good amount of tanks and equipment. I can almost always find what I need right then. This can be a huge help when you encounter any kind of tank emergency. Fouth, their huge coral selection and price range. They have everything from beginner to those designer named corals that everyone wants. They even frag out those high end corals down to affordable prices to allow you to find something in your price range. Finally, I've never gone here and been ignored. In fact it's always been the opposite. They have always been extremely helpful and knowledable in my experience. If you haven't been here or haven't been in a while, make a trip. Something is always new here. They are always moving the store forward from new display tanks, new equipment, new corals, and much more. This store will have you coming back, even just to look. Which of course, means you'll be going home with a new item, no one ever just looks. ;)
Bill Rice: Great place so glad we found you!
Kris Kirmess: Steve and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable! I've never had a saltwater aquarium before and The Corner Reef got me setup with everything I needed and talked me through the process of maintaining one. Absolutely fantastic store!
Brad Murphy: Great selection of high end corals, and the tanks are all very clean!
Annette Marie: The coral's and animals were beautiful! The staff very helpful and knowledgeable!
Lee Grill: Has a little of everything new & used. Owner was very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely will be going back.
Dustin Clary: I think it was the owner I spoke to today if not their staff is very knowledgeable anyways very nice and willing unlike some other similar places.
Matt McLaughlin: Very helpful/knowledgeable staff
Phillip Cook: Great place with a great selection of corals and fish.
D Garrett: Great customer service. They know their stuff. Great selection.
Charlie Maher: Awesome store....great selection and great prices..

Kent Craighead: Really nice Aquarium well maintained and beautifully themed. The price seems reasonable for the quality of the exhibition. I have been to several major American aquariums ( Chicago Boston Dallas ect. ) and the St. Louis Aquarium offers an experience on par with these, with only one caveat, it’s a bit Smaller. It’s not that it’s tiny, but when you come savor the experience from the Beginning. The end isn’t to far away. The price is commensurate to the size of the exhibit.A solid recommendation
Lacey Huling: I really wish I would have read reviews before wasting my money. We bought the tickets online as suggested, since they only allow so many people in every 15 mins. $63 for 2 adults. We were all the way through in about 30 mins...and that was taking our time! No otters anywhere to be seen. Since we had 9 am tickets, none of the food places were open when we got out, so we just left. So disappointing. This is the smallest, most overpriced aquarium we have ever visited.

Aqua World: what do users think?
Stan Williams: Great people. Always helpful and very knowledgeable.
Paula Chor: Local aquarium supply store. Very knowledgeable staff. Excellent selection as well as advice. My most recent tank setup. Sourced from Aqua World.
Jim McGarry: Great store, nice selection and knowledgeable staff!
Morgan Brown: We showed up looking for clown loaches as they had a whole bunch of them there for sale. We stood around waiting for someone to help us so we could get a school to add to our tank and work the bottom of the tank. Very rude and they were discussing lunch instead of making some decent money as we needed a round 6 of these $30/piece fish. Traveled from the southern end of Jefferson County to be ignored wasn’t fun in any manor.
D Sweat: “My brother is the owner” is the response I got when I tried to warranty my pump here. Went there twice but was brushed off by the owners sister. The other workers tried to help me, one even calling Mike, but miss “my brothers the owner” wouldn’t let it happen. I’ve bought a lot here over the years but I won’t be back.
Tech Ops: Great shop with lots of goodies.
Keith Adaway: The lady I just talked to was horrible very short with me asking questions and I was not very happy with her service!!
Jamie S: Great selection of freshwater fish and so many aquatic plants. Everything looks very healthy. Prices are fair. Staff is helpful. We are still setting up our tank again and we will be back for fish later. They are beginning to get restocked on saltwater fish too and they look great.
Ryan Raney: Very well stocked store with impressively clean tanks and a great selection of aquatic plants. Will definitely be back.
Sara Vandable: They are so nice and knowledgeable!
Lou Brueckmann: Very nice neat, healthy fish that are well taken care of and very good customer service.
jasmmo Morales: Always have gotten great ,HEATHLY fish from here love this place ❤️

Chris harrell: Answered all my questions and were very helpful
Logan Lawrence: Nice staff clean tanks and good selection! They have freshwater and salt water fish

Highly recommend!
