Teresa Bongiorno: Long over due review! I've been coming here since shortly after they opened and its the first place I've ever stuck to! They are a great gym with a variety of workout classes, the women who own it and run it are amazing, and they support the rest of the neighborhood businesses and really create a wonderful community to be a part of! If looking to join a gym with structured classes and close connection with the trainers, definitely try out PSF!

K Brinkley: This is the first gym/fitness experience where I actually look forward to going to each class! The classes are motivating, fun and very challenging. You will sweat 😀. Every instructor is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about fitness instruction. They will help you scale workouts to fit your current ability and goals in a positive and encouraging way. PSF is genuine, down to earth and truly for everyone. There are just good vibes all around at this gym and community! Trust me, it's absolutely worth doing something for yourself and checking out a class at PSF.
David Welkener: This is a great gym! Each station has everything you need for your instructor-led (no need to plan your own workout), balanced (different muscle groups get attention) workout. Plus the staff is great with proactive check-ins for your personal goals. I've been able to see the results since joining PSF.

I worked out at PSF throughout my pregnancy, and the PSF team helped me adapt workouts as necessary to ensure I stayed safe and healthy throughout. Workouts are easy to book on the app, and communication is great overall. The InBody assessments that are offered provide tons of helpful data the coaches will review with you so you can track your progress and set goals along the way. If you're looking for a fitness community with expert support to help you reach your goals where is working out is fun and challenging, this is the place for you!

I'm now 9 months pregnant, and the trainers have provided great guidance for me to keep moving safely and effectively. The options they provide for workouts (strength, high intensity, circuit, cycling, yoga, or pilates!) there is no way to get burnt out.

Savannah Larimore: This might be a long review because there are just so many things I’ve loved about this gym. After a year of home workouts during the pandemic, I was ready to try new things and lift heavier weights. After looking at gyms in the area I decided to try DFT for various reasons but mostly because it’s a gym by women for women. I can’t tell you how incredible it’s been to be in a space full of women of all ages and bodies with the same goal of getting stronger. Watching everyone hit their goals is so inspiring! The coaches and other members are all so supportive, while also trusting that we know our bodies and our limits best. I have a lot of injuries from sports when I was younger and the coaches always work with me to make appropriate modifications. I’ve been able to achieve all the goals I set out for joining this gym and got to meet some great people along the way. The coaches also host additional events for skills and community building. I could go on but if I wasn’t moving I would have stayed a member here for many years! Definitely consider DFT when you’re shopping around for a new gym!

I was able to work through a shoulder injury and come back even stronger than before. I am now currently pregnant and have become the modification queen! They have been able to help tailor my workouts to keep me healthy and active as my body changes. Alana S.: I’ve been back at Dragonfly since October 2020, and I’m so glad I rejoined. I have been attending strength classes consistently and seeing results in my strength over the course of each 8 week session. I get my cardio in on Saturdays with the Hurricanes class and love hitting up rowing classes when they become available. I had never rowed before joining Dragonfly so I can credit (mostly) Renah for my form and skill. The coaches are well-versed in biomechanics, and offer alternative movements for those that need them (Pain? Mobility issue? Injury? They’ll help you work either around it or to overcome it!). There truly is a sense of community at Dragonfly amongst the members, and I look forward to each session to focus on myself, even if it’s only for a few hours per week. I’m a better parent and partner when I get in my workout.

Studio Element Personal Training: what do users think?
Mike S: When you think of a gym and lifting weights it might be a bit intimidating. Studio Element is very different, maybe because I'm there with a trainer, but the gym feels more welcoming. It is not an intimidating place to be. I've enjoyed weight lifting on and off for years but never had a personal trainer. Having someone correct your form and encourage you to do things you would not do on your own is very helpful. Always look forward to going and leave knowing I got a good workout in. Andrew Dziedzic: I’ve had the privilege of working with Caleb now for almost 6 months. He is absolutely phenomenal. I cannot recommend him and this gym strongly enough. Caleb is so unbelievable skilled and is always trying to learn more. I never thought that I would actually have so much fun while working out, but every workout is fun and very challenging. I can not recommend him highly enough. He’s helped to make weightlifting and exercises very specific for what you’re trying to achieve. Just talk to him about what your goals and he will work extremely hard to help you reach them.The facility overall is extremely clean. The people are great, and the environment is really approachable and not intimidating at all. It was EXACTLY what we were looking for and I’ve looked at probably 25-30 gyms/workout centers in the area. Studio Element is the freaking best.I’ve also enjoyed working with Adelaide, Chris, and Nicole. All of them are so talented as well. They are really nice and encouraging. They’ve picked us up for a session in the rare circumstance that Caleb was on vacation or if we needed to rearrange our schedule and only had a certain time time we could work out.

I’ve been going there for three months now and actually look forward to going in each time. The trainers are motivating and extremely knowledgeable.Caleb is our main trainer and he is outstanding, energetic/fun, and insanely knowledgeable. He has an incredible amount of experience and has won weight lifting competitions in the past. I strongly recommend him. He is professional, easy going, and clearly loves what he does. His passion for wanting to help you improve shows. His correction and attention to form have prevented injury and helped ensure that different muscle groups aren’t engaged.I’ve also had the opportunity to train a lot with Adelaide. She is great too! She is very encouraging and very good with correcting form to help prevent injury.The entire team here is the real deal. I’ve tried every gym that I could to find the right fit, and none compared to Studio Element. The biggest selling point for me was when I met with Jay (the owner) and did NOT receive the ever so popular high pressure sales. You could tell that they stood behind their model.
Nasreen Moursi: This place is a small space for working out with a personal trainer. There are never too many people here, the staff is extremely friendly, and recent renovations have made good use out of the small area. They have a super cool scanner that measures body fat percentage and BMI among many other things so you can set your goals in a myriad of ways. They also have well trained nutritionists who will help you outside of the gym using a food tracking app, if you choose that option.I personally chose this place because they took the time to know my limits, my motivations, and my weaknesses and also because Jay, who I met during my free consult, was such an inspiring and friendly guy.

Rachel Stoffel: I’ve only been coming to classes for a couple of weeks but I have quickly fallen in love with this place. The teachers and staff are so kind and welcoming. I was super nervous coming in as an out of shape girlie but felt so comfortable in class regardless. Love this place!!!
Hadley Kombrink: Pure Barre (CWE and Ladue locations) is my go-to workout, and happy place. The instructors are fantastic, the workout always stays challenging (even the more classes I take) and it's amazing and welcoming community that I've not found elsewhere in STL.
