Banh Mi So 1: what do users think?
Danielle Martinez: Would love to try this place but twice I took an Uber here since I'm here for work and wind up being disappointed by a closed business. Tried calling the phone too but it's a full voicemail
Shae Strom: Ordered take out on 11/6/22, then received a call from the restaurant asking us to pay when we pick the food up rather than paying online. Showed up at the restaurant and lights were all off and it was completely closed. The order we placed online was completely voided. Don’t order online! Restaurant is closed!
Elisa T: Best spring rolls and BEST soy sauce ever!! Thank you for your dedication to deliciousness! 😋Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5 …More
Gregory Robinson: This is got to be some of the best vegan food in St Louis I'm going to actually try stuff on their whole menu but I can't not order the number 11 sandwich and the curry tofu soup their food puts a smile on your face after you eat it whether you're vegan vegetarian or meat eater this is the place to check outVegetarian options: They have a great vegetarian sandwich with the vegetarian beef it's a ball sandwich Is the soup what tofu is amazing
mickeyribaudo: Still open for carry out, spring rolls are still delicious as ever.
Leyla Rose Bland: 🔥🔥🔥
Scott Murphey: They are open for take out only. Google is wrong they're NOT temporarily closed.
Patricia Rodriguez: As of 6/14/2022 open for carryout only. Carryout orders must be placed over phone before coming to pick them up. Door is locked, and open sign is turned off, but they will answer their phone!! Get it while you still can, the owners are listing the restaurant for sale because they wish to retire. Has said they will keep serving carryout until they find a buyer. God willing they'll find one who is equally skilled in the art of mung bean spring rolls 🍽
Jim Ford: Gonna miss this place and the too kind owners!
Melissa Argueta: Good cafe, prices are really good. Just wasn't too pleased about the long piece of hair in my banh mi. Maybe have the staff wear hairnets.Other than that everything is good.
Max Musick: Update your Google if you're going to be closed. Wanted to try this place out but they were closed when Google said they would be open.
Minh Truong: Good fish springrolls.
Dee Gee: I always love this place. Right now you have to call and place your order for pick up. No dine in at this time.Features: Please wear a mask when picking up your order. There are two elderly people that are the owners and fix your food.
Martial Artist 813: Needs to make real chai, shameful to served boxed premade watered down “chai” and charge like you actually made it homemade with real SPICES. Take it off the menu otherwise.
Jessica M: This is the most underrated Vietnamese restaurant in St. Louis. The elderly owner and his wife make all the food fresh to order. Call ahead and make sure they’re open. There’s a for sale sign inside, they would like to retire at some point.Still the best spring rolls in St. Louis!
Amy Gee: This is the best restaurant in St. Louis. I am sad, but happy to hear that they are retiring. I have eaten here for 20+ years. When they finally close it'll be a sad day on St. Louis, but a happy, relaxing day for the kind, and wonderful owners.
R Cusick: One of the best places I've ever eaten in St. Louis. The owners are so kind. I've heard the building is up for sale but they are doing carryout in the meantime, so get it while you can. Their spring rolls truly are the best, and I had the bowl with egg rolls sliced up in it. It is called Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio. They offer several vegetarian choices. If you can, please support these folks' business while we are still lucky enough to have it. Wishing them luck in their future endeavors!
Renay Love: Good spring rolls. Glad to see them open
Ken Michael: the mung bean spring rolls are crafted by god. so good.
Sam Snee: Thomas & Lynn are awesome!! Phenomenal food and great customer service!! 5 Stars!!
Jackie: Amazing little local authentic Vietnamese place with the sweetest owners, cheap prices, and delicious food. Vegans, meat eaters, and kids all love it.

Garrett Patton: Wow! The guy making the food spoke to me as soon as I entered and was very pleasant. The food was extremely fresh and tasted and looked like it was made with pride! For sure coming back!
Stephanie Clark: The bbq pork and shrimp spring rolls are delicious! Stopped in for a quick lunch while visiting STL and was not disappointed.
Lori Lea Shelley: Love the coffee. And extra hot sauce and jalapeños on my egg and pate sandwich
Zach Hite: Excellent service. Great people!!!!
Long Nguyen: I recently had the pleasure of visiting this banh mi shop and it was an absolute delight. The menu offered a wide variety of banh mi sandwiches to choose from, each one bursting with flavor and packed with fresh ingredients. I was impressed with the quality of the bread, which was freshly baked and perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The filling options were diverse and each sandwich was expertly crafted with a balance of savory and sweet flavors. In addition to the great sandwiches, the shop had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff and quick service. I also appreciated that the prices were reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. Overall, I highly recommend this banh mi shop to anyone looking for a tasty and authentic Vietnamese sandwich
Mary Thao: I was kinda disappointed with the banh mi sandwich. Though i understand it's probably more made/catered the the non-asian's taste. Spring was good though.
Lori Vinciguerra: Better than Mai Lee! We will be back
Jacob Camenzind: Really cheap and fast and tasty. BBQ pork spring rolls were phenomenal. They could have been a little more generous with the pickled veg, and the veg could have been a little more crisp.Recommended dishes Rolls, BBQ Pork Spring Roll, BBQ Pork, Spring Rolls, Saigon Classic Banh MI, Shrimp & BBQ Pork …More
Kelly Ryan: Excellent fresh rolls.
Attractive Zombie: My husband is from Vietnam and very picky about American-Vietnamese restaurants. He LOVES The Banh Mi Shop’s food and after several visits there since they’ve opened I can honestly say that they are consistently good and the customer service is always on point.I am always looking for good Beef Goi Cuon (spring rolls) and can rarely find them at Vietnamese restaurants- when I do they are super fatty and chewy and unpleasant. The ones at the Banh Mi Shop are excellent and the sauce is perfect! Great job!
Lauren Schmidt: This place is the best! We get takeout from here once every week or two weeks. Spiciest jalapeños around 😂but seriously-we’ve tried most of the menu at this point and you can’t go wrong.Recommended dishes Curry Chicken, BBQ Pork …More
David Cade: I drove over 1/14/23 and had the BBQ Pork (Char siu pork belly) bahn mi with extra cilantro, carrots, and aioli. It was excellent! The meat was tender and the bread was very fresh. I took a quick bite in the car, but had to slow down since I wanted to leave a little for my wife to taste (as she has never had a bahn mi). This was my second visit here and it was worth the drive (although I do wish it was further west in West County). Parking is not the greatest around the Delmar Loop so be prepared to walk a little or pay at a meter.Parking: Parking is not the greatest around the Delmar Loop so be prepared to walk a little or pay at a meter.
Kii: Took my dad here as a Christmas gift and we had a wonderful time! My dad greatly enjoyed himself trying multiple Spring Rolls, that we shared. Great service and excellent food. I especially liked the bbq & shrip Spring Rolls. Highly, highly recommend!!
Spencer Pernikoff: Always delicious. The lemongrass tofu is the sleeper.
Michael Paul: Great bahn mi! The owner/staff are rad and welcoming!
Michael Ackerman: It's fast-casual, like Chipotle, but Asian. The portions are kind of small, so you have to order two things to feel full. Two of us spent $48 for 4 entrees and one drink. It's small but clean. Neither of us really liked the place, I def felt like I overpaid. I won't be back because they offer nothing special and parking sucks.
Jim Walsh: Great food made fresh when ordered.
Geoffrey Wong: Amazing ppl who run the place, great fresh banh mis
Juliette Jacobs: I read the reviews, but uhh it's only ok nothing to talk about. The GoodPrice, tender chicken, good crusty french breadThe BadNo flavor! It was all sooo bland. How can vietnamese food be bland. Maybe I'm biased because I live in New Orleans where lots of Vietnamese settled, but dang. I never had bland Vietnamese food!

Pho Grand Restaurant: what do users think?
Tara Anderson: This is our Family's favorite! So sad they are retiring today 6/13/22. We made some beautiful memories at this place.
Sierra: Best pho in St. Louis. Really going to miss Pho Grand 💔
IVY M: Chicken fried rice was perfect, spring rolls were yummy but the pho was not quite the flavor that I know so well. Something is missing from the broth that I can't pinpoint but definitely did not taste how I expected so my pho craving was not fulfilled unfortunately. Server was ok, she kept our glasses full but was not very personable. Either way, we enjoyed our dinner. Good luck on the retirement.
Ignacio Lopez: Super food, great service!
Stella: Soooo good and authentically Asian. I'm so sad they're closing soon. 😔
Eduardo Sequeira: I am glad that I came before they close this restaurant.Good luck with the retirement.
Renay Love: Will miss it! Had the spring rolls today!
Lord Rev. Shaun Boswell: It's unfortunate to hear of the closing. Going to get out here one last time. Pho-nominal Pho.
Claire Magnuson: This place was delicious and I can’t wait to go back. So many interesting things on the menu that I’ve never seen or tried before!! There’s already a few things that are on my bucket list to try. The service was really really nice. It was busy when we went, but I guess it’s just popular, which is a good sign! The Vietnamese coffee was SO good. It was in a little contraption that brewed on the table with you. I just wish it was closer to my apt so that I could get takeout from here all the time 😍
Michelle Parlett: Amazing food - it will be a real loss to the area when the owners retire in a week or so.My husband used to live right across the street many years ago, and fondly remembered the restaurant, so when we found ourselves in town with time to kill we went for a late lunch.Fresh, light, tasty - wonderful food!Wishing the family well for the future - may retirement be long, happy, and filled with adventure!
Neil McCloskey: So sad it's closing. 😞 Have been enjoying this wonderful place for over 20 years. Great food, great people.
D Carty (kartogis): personal favorite whether dining in or out...sadly they WILL CLOSE FOREVER JUN 13, 2022
Cece D: I'm going to miss this place! Great welcoming atmosphere. Good service. Food flavorful and authentic. Well executed. Go early because they are getting serious crowds possibly due to their imminent closure.
Cassia Page: Had to get one last meal before they close for good. I've been eating here for 30 years, since I was 14 years old. I'm really going to miss this place! Thank you for years of amazing food and friendship.
Tonya Bland-Black: so good!!!!!
Snu Snu: Grew up eating here, will be missed after closed.
Samuel Alejandro Garcia Alonzo: Delicioso todo
Jenelise Silvario: Amazing food!
Dududup: It's been a long time since we dine in at Pho Grand. And it was great. All tastes good. Except the Phó portion is smaller than I remembered.
John Williams: Our first time tonight. Fresh, inviting, quick, delicious, great service… we can’t wait to go back. The pho tai was amazing as was the shrimp roll.
Stefanie Roe: Amazing food and exceptional service as always!!

Phúc Trence: Decided to go out for lunch with my co-workers on a cold windy Sunday and the place was packed. Imo, The Pho Special was good, served in a big bowl and I love how clear the broth was and how generous the side salad was too. I had the Saigon Beer and loveeeee the way they serve it in a cold mug. Cons? It was obviously understaffed! There was only 2 servers on the floor and 1 host/busser. After we got seated, it took approx 15mins for our server to come and take our orders. Drinks and appetizer came fairly quick but after that we had to wait 40 mins for our entrée (I saw tables came after us, almost finished their meals and we were still waiting for our food to come). And one more thing, the service could be better if it was a bit more attentive. Other than that, Pho Long is definitely a good place to go to when you’re craving for Vietnamese food.

Joseph Vang: Saigon Cafe in St. Louis turned out to be a great find for a quick dinner stop before hitting the road. As an out-of-towner with a craving for pho, I was thrilled to see it on my google maps. I opted for the pho with ribs, and I must say, it was absolutely delicious. The broth had a slightly sweet undertone, which added a unique twist to the traditional flavors. It worked surprisingly well, especially in complementing the tender and flavorful ribs and meatballs. The portion size was generous, leaving me satisfied and ready for my journey.Aside from the pho, I also tried their egg roll, and it was simply amazing. The crispy exterior encased a flavorful filling that was both savory and satisfying. However, the fried rice was decent but not exceptional. It lacked a bit of flavor and didn't stand out compared to the other dishes. One minor hiccup during the dining experience was my sprite being flat. The staff was quick to respond and replaced it twice, but unfortunately, the issue persisted. On the third attempt, they managed to provide a properly carbonated, sugary sprite. I appreciated their effort in resolving the matter, as it was out of their control.Another positive aspect of Saigon Cafe was the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It wasn't crowded, allowing me to enjoy my pho in a serene environment. Overall, Saigon Cafe in St. Louis is a worthwhile stop for pho lovers, offering tasty dishes and attentive service, despite a minor issue with the sprite.

K Ly: Good service not sure about the food. The ginger chicken dish rice was mushy and barely had flavor. Chicken was sour like it was expired and still served. My aunt ordered the same and hers was sour as well. Chicken was not fresh. For $17 a bowl I hoped it would be something to come back for - it was not.

Sean G: This is my absolute favorite Vietnamese place in the city and one of my favorites overall.*Small disclaimer, I don't live in the city so I haven't compared this to everything.*Food is always fresh, exceptionally well tasting, and the staff are pretty friendly. My only complaint is that the imported beers seem to be even more expensive than usual, but I got a dad bod so it's good that I don't have those anyway.Vegetarian options: Many tofu options for dishes that are seasoned very well. As a non-vegetarian I enjoy them tremendously.
Alex Besmer: If you haven't yet discovered Saigon Cafe 🍲, nestled in the heart of St. Louis' Central West End, then you're truly missing out on an incredible dining experience! This charming Vietnamese restaurant instantly transports you to the vibrant streets of Saigon, thanks to its simple yet elegant decor and ambience 🌇.From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles 😊 and impeccable service. Our server, Jenny, was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also an absolute delight to interact with. Her enthusiasm and outgoing personality truly made our experience memorable 🌟.The food at Saigon Cafe is simply divine! 🤤 Each dish was brought out steaming hot 🔥, showcasing the utmost attention to detail and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The exquisite flavors of their traditional Vietnamese cuisine left us craving more. What's more, the price is absolutely reasonable 💰, especially if you visit during lunchtime, making it an unbeatable value. In summary, Saigon Cafe is a must-try Vietnamese haven 🙌 in St. Louis' Central West End. The combination of mouthwatering food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere make it an outstanding dining destination. Don't forget to ask for Jenny when you visit - her cheerful demeanor and expertise will surely enhance your experience! 😄Parking: Tons of street parking, but no guarantee it will be right next to the restaurant. On a regular day you probably won't have to walk more than 2 blocks, but on a busy weeknight, add 10 minutes to your trip just to find parking and walk. Just a little more accounting to do.Wheelchair accessibility: As wheelchair accessible as it gets. Low incline ramps throughout the restaurant.
Dustin Schmidt: First time dining at Saigon Cafe, and it definitely did not disappoint. Great food, great service. Would definitely recommend trying if you haven’t already.

sam chiang: Pho is passable. Sweet&sour is nice. Not too sweet and a hint of spiciness. Egg rolls are fresh and not too oily.
Quentin Hendricks: The pho was great, and the service was great. Even for a large group of people, it didn't take long at all.
Brinna B: I really enjoyed the food I ordered here. Sometimes the service is a bit slow but always very nice. I ordered via phone a to-go order for the first time tonight and asked if they could add extra broccoli. I paid $20 for the meal which normally is about 14 plus tax. Looked at the receipt and was charged 4 dollars for “extra” which amounted to maybe two extra florets. Felt like this was a major upcharge for nothing. Regardless, I will happily return and not make the mistake of asking for extra vegetables next time.

JB: I don’t even want to give this place a star. They stole our money. We ordered through GrubHub for pickup, went to pick up, BUT THEY WERE CLOSED! AND STILL TOOK OUR MONEY! Called and told them the situation, they blame grubhub, grubhub blamed them back. They said they will call grubhub for us and still have not heard anything back. Funny thing is though, they didn’t even ask for our information or what we ordered. Feels like a big “f you” to our face. Horrible customer service from the managers and this whole situation all around. 11/10 DON’T Recommend

Sphaleritee Es: It’s pretty good. Spring rolls are good, noodles and soup are good, meat isn’t my favorite. Not a lot of vegetarian options for my friend but I guess that’s what she gets for being vegitarian

Shawn Jones: DELIVERY GRADE: A-This place is great for delivery, the only suggestion I have for getting A+ status is to PLEASE staple and/or seal your bags.Very friendly staff and fast service for UberEATS customers and drivers!
Angelica Cavanaugh: The food was pretty tasty, though it seemed like some of the vegetables were frozen rather than fresh. The red sauce forw my veggie diah was super tasty though. My husband tried the sweet and sour pork and it was alright, not the best but not bad.It was just a little pricey for the quality of food and service we received.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian option displayed on the menu.Dietary restrictions: Willing to accomodate for celiac gluten-intollerance.
Nisa T: It’s delicious
Me Myself and I: You have to try the chicken curry, spring rolls, Vietnamese eggrolls and the ice coffee!!

Indri Harahap: Service was very good. We each ordered lunch special. Mine was egg plant and my friend's was beef. We both thought it was too heavy on the sauce and the fried rice that came with it didnt taste very good. It was too pricey for the taste. Cody Cummings: If you want some authentic Vietnamese dishes, then you should definitely check out Joyful House. Their seafood broths and noodle dishes are incredible and offer a ton of food for the price. Some of the dishes could easily be shared between two people, and I would suggest getting some small plates and a large noodle dish to share. Everything is really fresh and it shows with how much flavor comes through in each dish.
Kate B: Bubble tea was great, I tried a half sugar lychee mango milk tea w boba and loved it!Food: 5/5 …More
Don't quit - quotes: Food wasn’t that good but service was great. Not worth $400 though.
P Herr: In St. Louis for a quick drive through. Wanted pho for lunch, this place was the only Vietnamese restaurant open on a Sunday. You seat yourself. Service was slow, because it looked like there was only 1 waiter. However, food was good. I enjoyed the shrimp appetizer. And the cajun seafood was delicious. The flavor is different from other cajun seafood places I've had before.
Ohsnapsits YOUAH: The food wasn't bad but the boba tea drinks are not as good a disappointment & the service is VERY slow. Waited for two banhmi sandwiches for more than 45 minutes that's not good. They need more help!
Tina Bass: Recommended dishes Seafood BoilMore
Russell Cindy: Not fancy, just great food at a good price. Really, just close your eyes, touch the menu and the food you picked will be terrific. If there are two of you, get a boil and Boba tea. Amazing. And if you're gluten free, there's no GF menu, but PLENTY of choices. Probably most of the menu is gluten free.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
