Jaron Black: I'm upgrading my review to a five star rating in retrospect. The main thing I would like to highlight is how the cashier was very helpful at answering my questions about whether I could order take-out and how the starter options fit my dietary needs. I didn't need to wait very long for my order to be ready (I only ordered one appetizer, so it only took five minutes) and the food was incredible. I am hoping to eat here again sometime in the future.
Jacob Brinker: I ordered the Chicken Katsu Ramen and the Spam Musubi. The spam was pretty good but the ramen was not. The broth was quite bland and the chicken was dry and kind of thick for katsu. It did not seem particularly fresh as the order was brought out to me within about 5 minutes. The inside of the restaurant was of dimly lit and smelled very fishy. Not a super pleasant place to dine in.Not worth the money as far as ramen goes. There are much better options in the same price range.
Eleanor Rigby: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Signature RamenMore
Russell Lee: What a surprise find! Amazing food. Had the karaage, black garlic tonkotsu and takoyaki. Everything came out hot and delicious. A place that I'll definitely revisit. Also surprised to find out the chef is Malaysian! Trying the curry laksa next time for sure.
E: Ordered the Calamari, Signature Ramen, and the Black Garlic Ramen. The ramen was light but flavorful. The pork on top of the ramen was extremely soft and the egg was really well done. Highly recommend the calamari, was fresh out the frier and was light and soft.
Timothy Day: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Signature RamenMore
Thomas Hughes: Best ramen I've had in a long while. Gf and I scoffed it down like it wasn't even there. Eggs were perfect and the broth was the perfect creaminess. I highly recommendFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Bowl of Ramen, Seafood …More
Sam Camero: Very delicious! Definitely recommend! I got the veggie Ramen and it was divine!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Mr. Ed Drimak: I hadn’t gone here because I heard it was a little more expensive than other places (like Nudo). Well, this should be their slogan, “it costs more for a reason … it’s better!!” The broth, noodles, Chasu, egg - all absolutely amazing! Best ramen I’ve had since Japan and Vegas (shout out to Sora Ramen). Definitely coming back!!
Quintinus Gherardini: Authentic Ramen. What's not to love. Also it's on a bus line and close to a metrolink stationFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Bowl of Ramen, Seafood, Shrimp Fried Rice …More

Ani: Good ramen 4-4.5 stars grossly overpriced for the portions brings it down to 3 final 2 is overly generous given that their already meager portion sizes get dismal if they’re busy. Got three tiny bites of tofu in my tofu Ramen today, for nearly $20
Gustavo Kashiwagi: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Dan Slattery: The Nami Signature Tonkatsu ramen is highly recommended!! Super savory broth and the pork is the perfect balance of soft and crispy. Also, you have to try the bao buns. Pork or shrimp, you can't go wrong with either. I don't live anywhere near this restaurant, but I will DEFINITELY come back!
Elaine T: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Jay Coast: The food was a blast of flavor with each bite. I enjoyed the aesthetic of the art decal they had in the wall gives off a Asian infused Salvador Dali vibe very breathtaking. Coasty gives it a 4.5 out of 5Keep up the good work Nami

Tayler Bertelsman: My favorite sushi in St. Louis! Always fresh and service is great.Even after traveling to Japan, this place holds up!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Megan Barron: The service was so poor we didn’t even get to the food. Showed up at 2:30 pm to a sign that said “Please Wait to be Seated.” We were yelled at from the counter and waved on to a table, even though there were multiple workers and few patrons at the time. We sat down and then a waitress came over at 2:32 to say they closed in 10 minutes and could do takeout, but the kitchen was already closed (not really sure how that would work??). We questioned their closing time since we were aware that they closed at 3:00 pm, but were still told that they close in 10 minutes. We’ve both worked in the restaurant industry and have never worked at a place that stopped offering food before they were actually closed (outside of a bar). Definitely won’t return for that service.
Kevin Hacker (Khacker): This was the first time I dined here. We celebrated a late Mother's Day dinner since our son was out of the country. The food was very delicious and not fishy as I first thought it would be. The server was great, very professional, and courteous. We had the salmon avocado roll, Naruto roll, spider roll, and the Yoshi roll. All fantastic and very filling. The only issue I had was remembering how to use chopsticks correctly. A little out of practice. We had a party of 6 that night and just to let you know they automatically add 18% for a party of six. It was fair and you might want to go above the recommendation. It is worth it.
Taylor Blimline: Service here was speedy, we enjoyed the crab Rangoons, and RamenFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
CB96: Food was amazing! Some of the best sushi we've had in a while in this area. Also, more vegetarian options than most Japanese restaurants offer. Staff was super nice. Prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely be back.Vegetarian options: More vegetarian options than most Japanese restaurants in this area. Including a build-your-own ramen bowl with a vegetarian broth option.
Todd Applegate: Great recipes.. excellent ramen. Rolls were delicious,,, any roll fried for $2 add. Ramen was amazing. Looked like they had a lot of other great food.Recommended dishes Crab Rangoon, Spicy Midtown Ramen, Hakata Ramen …More
Ken Wienhoff: Exceptional Ramen and delicious sushi. Will be back!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Spicy Salmon Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll, Spicy Tuna …More
Mike Elsner: Good place!Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Billy Wills: Yes! Great sushi and great service even when they were slammed! The ramen was alright but probably wasn’t fair when the sushi stole the show!
Cody Wallace: Very cool little spot. Sooo many selections and even a build your own ramen option. Everything was fantastic. Staff was very friendly. Will be coming back again.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Miso Ramen …More
Justin Johnson: Service was great as they were very busy. Flavor of food was really good but could use more salt. Ramen broth should be salty (its meant to flavor noodles and not sipped like a soup by itself. (Katsukare) Curry was tasty but could also use a bit more salt. Last time I was here salt content was perfect, not sure if a mistake was made on this visit or there was a recipe change. Servers were rockstars.
Rich Cline: Excellent Katsu and Miso. Great service! The food is very fresh. The prices are reasonable compared with today's restaurant prices. Clean place. You can park right in front off of Forest Park Parkway. I didn't try the sushi or the ramen here yet. I highly recommend if you enjoy Japanese cuisine, this is one of the best.
Paxkimi: Yummy!! A nice spot to eat!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Nicole M: very much enjoyed this ramen spot. staff was friendly and the food was tasty. just wish they had more vegetarian options. would come back.
Megan Scott: By far my favorite Ramen place
Eric Haake: I had sushi and my wife Ramen. Bothe were excellent at a solid price point for what you get. Would highly recommend.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Cody Cummings: Talk about a place with some good energy! Midtown Sushi & Ramen is a must try for anyone who loves authentic ramen dishes or good sushi, and while it’s not in the name, the Donburi bowls are some of the best in town.I recommend the Hakata Ramen if you’re a fan of smoked meats! The pork belly really adds great smoky and fatty notes to the noodles. If pork isn’t your thing then the Spicy Midtown Ramen gives you the same base as the Hakata, but swaps the pork with shrimp and smoky flavor with a spicy broth!Which one is better is a toss up and is just one more reason to come back for a second visit.

Cody Cummings: Nudo House is my go-to for some take out ramen or Pho! I live downtown, so I can place the order, hop in the car, and it’s ready as soon as I pull up. Their selection is great, and the ingredients are always fresh. You’ve gotta try the Pho Shizzle if you want a mix of proteins and a spicy broth, but if you’re looking for a classic ramen to hit the spot, then give the o’miso spicy or the tantamen. While I usually grab this as take out, the dining room is always full of people and the big tables make it feel like a very social way to enjoy a meal.
Kyoyo: The Yolo-mein was delicious and service was fast and friendly. We'll definitely be coming back soon!
Alyssa Vandegrift: Good food and wicked fast service! My only request is for a boozier slushy, but other drink options are nice too 👍🏽
Jacob Trueman: Quite tasty. However, they listed several ramen options as gluten free, or potentially so, that were not actually able to be made gluten free without radically transforming the dish.
A. Romo: I was in the area to eat at a different restaurant and I did not want to wait 1 1/2 to eat and I lookup Nudo House Delmar this was our first time for me and my wife and we ordered our food. The service is excellent the food was excellent the atmosphere was excellent. I recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and you will not wait long to get your food.

Robata Maplewood: what do users think?
Glynis McManamon: Great ramen. And I was lucky today: they had inarizushi. This delicious morsel is a marinated fried tofu pocket filled with sushi rice. I believe it qualifies as vegan. Now open for lunch Wed-Sat. They close midday and reopen for evening. Give it a try, a great array of Japanese food.
Mason White: Genuinely the best ramen I’ve had in STL area. When I walked in the gentleman was very kind and very attentive and welcomed all questions. The food was very fresh and made in the open kitchen and came to our table very quickly. Multiple times for good deals throughout the week. I would highly recommended this place to anyone! Absolutely lovely place!!!
Carlos Morales (Carlostheranger): Been here a few times and they have great sushi. I also love the Teriyaki Chicken and can't wait to go back! The atmosphere and service is great and I recommend checking them out if you are looking for sushi and ramen. They also have great happy hour specials (half price sushi but not sure if it is always the same).Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Ramen, Chicken Katsu Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot, Free street parking …More
Sabrina D: This place has got to have the freshest seafood I've ever enjoyed at Japanese restaurant. Tonight was busy, appetizers were very greasy, my dessert, fried ice cream was fabulous and the staff was so hospitable and generously gave us smiles. I recommend this restaurant.Vegetarian options: It's a seafood place. Need I say more.?Kid-friendliness: If your child is misbehaving. I'm telling you this place is small, keep them at home.
Kaylyn Neeley: Went to this amazing restaurant I go here every few weeks I love the ramen and sushi from here the sushi and ramen has a savory taste I normally get it to go and everything always comes out so nicely.

Greg C: I hate doing this but unfortunately from my past experience I have to make a negative review. I ordered the “hot/ spicy” ramen and upon picking it up, it was cold. When I say cold, I do not mean ice cold but lower than room temp. They told me my ramen would be ready in 50 minutes but ended up taking 70 minutes, which would be totally fine if my food came out hot like the entree states. When I called to inform the restaurant that my ramen was cold, they acted like it is normal for ramen to not be hot/ under room temp. That is not only weird but also a form of gaslighting. They gave me a new ramen within 10 minutes but it is funny that the new ramen came out scalding hot, which is what I wanted in the first place. All and all the place is understaffed and clearly has a problem with criticism. Inconsistency and borderline poor customer service. I will never return
Jared Kramer: Quality food at a very reasonable price. The ramen and Japanese curry are both great. Pay with cash for 20% off during happy hour. We will definitely be backRecommended dishes Ramen, Hot Ramen …More
Grace Bushnell: We have eaten at Robata multiple times. Most of our experiences have been delicious (4/5), but tonight was not one of those nights. I’m not sure if this was an off-night or if something has changed since we last visited, but our food was just bad.Gyudon is my go-to at any Japanese restaurant, including past visits at Robata. What I ate tonight was not Gyudon. The flavor was awful (no sweetness at all), the texture of the meat was mushy, the smell was off. I only ate a few bites before I had to stop because something was clearly wrong. I’m hoping this batch of marinade was just mixed incorrectly and the meat was just broken down too much, but my stomach has not been happy since we left. Along with the off-putting flavor and meat, there also weren’t any slices of onion like there’s meant to be in a solid bowl of Gyudon. My husband had the Tonkotsu ramen and said the broth was super bland, which was also surprising since we’ve had great ramen here before. He tried to eat my gyudon after because we hate wasting food, but he couldn’t do more than a couple bites either. All that said, the pork gyoza were fantastic, so at least there’s that!

Blue Ocean Restaurant: what do users think?
TravelUSA: Menu doesn't have any pricing on selections, you'll have to ask b4 ordering. We had Lobster rolls and reasonably priced.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Matthew Goeke: One of the best bowls of Ramen I have had in STL, apps were great too! Scooter is an awesome guy, would come back anytime for service from such friendly folks!
Anna Haas: Honestly mid. The green haired bartender was kind of rude. I also watched him drop the ice scoop on the ground and stare at it for a while before putting it directly back in the ice. He also left our drinks on the bar for 20 minutes in favor of talking to his mom.Food was underwhelming over all.
K Frazier: I wanted to thank you for the great experience my family had at your restaurant last night. We arrived at 8:45 and ordered some appetizers and fried rolls, and they were delicious. Our waiter was super cool - he had dreads and was so friendly. He did a fantastic job of making sure we were taken care of, and my husband even tipped him twenty dollars! We were really glad that we decided to go back.-----------------------------------------------------We came into the restaurant and were excited about the sushi and drinks. We sat at the bar with one other woman, which was cool because it wasn't packed. It was just three people; me, my friend, and this woman. We waited ten minutes before going out of our way for the bartender to acknowledge us at the table to take our order. Strike one.I showed the bartender, who had long, faded, dirty blond blue hair, the drink I wanted from their IG page. I asked the bartender if there was extra juice from the fruit that I may have added to my drink. His response was overly sarcastic and rude, stating, "I don't know. However, much juice comes from a blueberry."Ok, so I let his slick comment slide. He could have said, what kind of juice would you like me to add because the blueberries comepre-frozen?Nevertheless, I let it go. Strike two.We receive our food. We ordered two appetizers and four rolls. We were enjoying ourselves. Five minutes passed, and we were not even 1/4 of the way finished before we received our check. Ok, strike three. We reluctantly ordered another drink before picking up cookies from a nearby establishment. The bartender begins yelling at the waiter passing by about being unable to restock his area because he has to leave. (showing off in front of his girlfriend) The waiter sounded flustered and responded that he would help him. That threw us off because, as a bartender, your responsibility is to get your area ready for the next day, and why are you yelling at a server when you still have customers at the bar? Strike four.At this point, I'm ready to go because the energy from this bartender is off-putting. To lighten the mood as we began packing, leaving, and paying. I stated that the drink was delicious. I needed a little more alcohol. Humor goes a long way. Right? The woman who is at the bar decides to comment, stating. "That's my boyfriend. I saw him make the drink, and how dare you beg for money?"Ok, now I have a rude dry bartender and his weird delusional girlfriend in cahoots with each other—a bad combination—strike 300.I wanted so badly to give this place four stars. But customer service goes a long way. Why would you put a dry, negative person in the front at the bar? They are the face of your establishment.Despite my negative review, I'm sure this is not his first time being rude to customers and staff or having his girlfriend talk irrationally to customers and running them off.Food is cool. The dude behind the bar and his girlfriend have to go. Bad for business.
David Peck: Udon broth was way too salty, basically soy sauce. Teriyaki-don was basically a crazy bowls and wraps bowl but worse tbh. Beer is crazy expensive and half of it was out of stock
V F: Pretty jazzy place! The tea they serve just stole my heart! Where can I buy it though? Please let me know… Fantastical eel!
Caitlyn Schott: It's always great. But the umami mushroom Ramen is gone. And the spicy miso has changed.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Bayard Harken: If I could give this place a 10 outta 5, I would. Great people, amazing food, amazing sushi, and the chillest atmosphere out there. My favorite restaurant by far.
Mark Spencers: Bartender Nicholas had his thumb and fingers inside people's spoons, plates and ice cubes while serving; no handwashing between doing credit card and serving food. Additionally, spent more time talking than taking care of customers.Cup cleaning station had only 2 sinks: cups were barely dipped in 1 clean water sink and 1 disinfectant sink (where is the soap?). Drinking water was served from the same faucet used for cleaning cups (unsanitary).Ramen noodles were undercooked. Ramen was lacking more elements typically found in a ramen (no egg for a $15 ramen?).Sushi was not above any other sushi place, especially for the price. Underwhelming experience for $100 bill.No prices on the menu? (unless you are selling seafood, please add prices).Would not recommend for unsanitary practices and average quality for price. This is coming from someone who likes to patronize local restaurants. Very dissappointing.
Justin Reiling: I used to love getting their lunch special pre-Covid, but it’s no longer offered. I came in today to give it another shot, but there are no prices on the menu, so I left without ordering. I didn’t want to bother inquiring about every item I was potentially interested in. It also just feels sketchy. Do they change their prices based on how you look? The day of the week? Who knows. It was also very dark and not very inviting inside.
Drake Shafer: Came a few times in the past few years- menu is significantly smaller and now there are no prices. Tried to go for lunch but service was really slow. Don’t think I’ll be back.Katsuya and K-Bop down the street are MUCH better and advertise their prices.Nudo House is also a good choice for ramen
Erykc Szminschki: Food: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 1/5More
Amal Mohamed: Not a great variety of options on the menu. The food was good, not great. I thought the setting was nice if you’re looking for a casual group outing.
Mattheo Fundelli: It ok,nothing speciall, not good or bad just ok
MarvelX42: Make great sushi rolls. I like the tempura. Love the decor! Very nice servers and the people who make the rolls obviously are very good at what they do.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Tempura, Roll …More
Erin Bacher: Great atmosphere. We liked that it was a bit more intimate rather than completely wide open. Scooter was a great waiter and provided fantastic service. We ordered a couple of rolls as well as hot sake. We found that, compared to some other places, the options for specialty rolls lacked a little as well as they were a bit bland. However, we'd would definitely visit again and try other items on the menu.
Melissa Cubing: The food was excellent. However service was a bit slower than I would have liked, and there were no prices on the menu. I had to look online, but they seemed not to be quite accurate.
Clayton Guerry: Excellent food, drinks, service, and events. Mr Himbo knows how to run a restaurant, and I can't wait for my next visit when I get back to STL.
Ellen Stimige: Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Sushi RollsMore
Kaitlyn Phils: It wasn't bad by any means. Service was wonderful and those loaded avacados were *amazing*. But..the ramen? 6 or so years ago I loved coming here because it was the most authentic Japanese food around. I ordered the Miso ramen tonight like I'd done before and it was just...all right. It was warm when served (not at all hot, like kids temp at Starbucks) but quickly cooled down and the flavor changed with the temp. I wish there'd been a toppings option because the lack of egg was also disappointing. Again, it was all right but for the price you pay- it's a little hard to accept. Also the prices are no longer on the menu?? That's so awkward for the customers. My friend and I were very surprised when our checks came. We had two beers, split the appetizer, and then our ramens and it came out to about 50 each. I would have reconsidered things a bit more had I seen the price. It didn't use to be like this.
