Dave Thompson: This is quite possibly the best food I have ever eaten. No kidding! We stumbled across this place while driving thought The Hill district and thought we would stop in for a slice. But this is WAY more than just a pizzeria. I had the Chicken Siciliano and my wife had the seafood ravioli. It's common for a few things to be good, but in this case everything was unbelievable. Our waiter Hugo was the best.Stop in. The owner will seat you. Prepare to be amazed.
Jen Martin: Busy place on Sunday evening as they were short a couple of servers, holiday weekend and graduation weekend! But we got in quickly and service was great. Ranelle Rigney: First Italian Spanish Restaurant I've been to, and it was good. Needed light fare, and the Gazpacho and Guido's signature salad fit the bill. I got a large salad but should have ordered the small. Only thing I would do different is ask for the dressing on the side. Service was slow, but it's the perennial problem of not enough workers. Our server did a very good job considering all the tables she was covering.
Kimberly Piekutowski: A waste of time and energy.I received an email from Guido's telling me about their Paella. Unfortunately when you go to the website it tells you they are out of stock on everything. Why go when they have nothing to serve you.
Anthony Bevis: Great service, awesome old school atmosphere, and the best crisp crust pizza I can ever remember having!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes St Louis Style Pizza …More
Steve Collins: My wife & I had Mother’s Day dinner comprised of four tapas dishes: shrimp, beef kabobs, goat cheese & gazpacho. All dishes were delicious. Service was fast and friends. Enjoyed house Red wine. We will come back! Highly recommend.
Larkin Gamer: This place was actually really good. The baked spaghetti was easily some of the best spaghetti I've had, and the toasted ravioli was pretty good too. Overall a very nice experience at this restaurant, and it honestly wasn't too expensive. Very nice recommendation if you are in The Hill looking for something to eat.
Bridget H: First visit here and not likely to return. My daughter ordered chicken Parmesan that was pink. We sent it back and still, half of it wasn’t edible. There was no recognition of the error… in fact the waitress asked if she wanted a box. She had the personality of a rock and acted like everything was a bother. The pizza was amazing and we may consider ordering that to go but otherwise we were not very happy with the service.Parking: No parking lot. Street parking only.
Lora Lovinger: One of the worst meals we’ve had in Saint Louis - taste and service. They gave us the wrong orders and took almost an hour to fix. The food that was replaced tasted really bad and they refused to change or cancel after we waited for so long only to be disappointed.
Kalith Smith: Great lunch, fast service and wonderful ambiance.
Theresa Marie: I went there for a baby shower so I really didn't get to taste the pizza which I'm going back for. But the pasta, pizza, and chicken were excellentFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Raymond Mulitalo: We were in St. Louis for one night and wanted to try "St. Louis" style pizza. We are from the west and have never tried Provel cheese nor this style of pizza. We looked online and found this place that looked fun, so sort of blindly went to it.DID NOT DISAPPOINT!This place has atmosphere in spades and the food was excellent. I found the pizza sauce to be on the sweet side for my taste, but that is my taste and not a knock on the quality of the food. And shout-out to this local rootbeer. Best I've had in a while.I am a HUGE fan of this pizza, the local cheese, and more so of this awesome eatery. It was all delicious, including the salad. Can't wait to return and try the small plates next timeThe service was kind, friendly, efficient, and fun. Made the whole experience that much better.

Barcelona Tapas Restaurant: what do users think?
Иван Д: Very underwhelming dishes for the heart of Clayton. Breading for calamari was dry and chewy. Beer served in a plastic cup, hygiene was a mess
Amy Mantia-Johnson: Great food and amazing trees leche
Things i Want: I'm so happy I found Robert again, he's the best mater de in all of Clayton. Props to Barcelona for bringing him on.
Dave Feinstein: Great Place!!
Yossi Negrin: That was my fourth visit at Barcelona tapas and like all the other times it lived up to the expectation. All the food we ordered was outstanding. I will definitely return for more tastes in the future.
Linda Smith: Amazing lamb chops
Robert Custer: Great bartender and staff
Domey Foriest: Had a blast small portions but made up on quality thank Mr.Robert and or waiter. Mr. Marcelino for great service.
Sue Rundblad: Excellent food and employees. Will go back with friends and family
Andrew Cox: More expensive, but delicious
bryan skaggs: Food is amazing atmosphere is amazing
Ed Mantia: Food, music and service were wonderful.
Sarah Galbraith: This place seemed like junk.Didn't eat here. Only came for a drink. The place was dirty and unappealing. As I was sitting at a tall top table, I noticed my chair was wobbly and squeaky. Didn't think anything of it. All of a sudden a kind patron from the bar jumped up to inform me my chair was about to break. It was literally splitting beneath me and would have had me on the floor (in my dress) in seconds. Why was this chair on the floor for use?! SMH...a mess.Thank you to the kind stranger who removed the chair from the floor and replaced it for me.
Robert Fussner: wow! this place is still alive and well. fun patio seating. Great staff.
Kelly: Burger was really dry, food not authentic, nothing about this bar is Spanish
Celia Taylor-Puckett: Amazing restaurant! The food is top notch, sangria amazing! Frank was a savior when my large party needed a spot for my graduation dinner! He is incredibly thoughtful and personable. People like this is what makes a good experience amazing! We loved all the tapas we ordered and highly recommended this style of dinner for large groups! 110% recommend Barcelona!
Keith Woeltje: Great food. Lovely patio dining and open walls. Service was a bit slow.
DJ QUINN Ward: I think this place is 1 of the best kept secrets in St.Louis. Great food, cocktails, service and the prices are fair. Live music on Wednesdays. And I like their outdoor setup. Only bad thing is parking is not the best so you might have to walk but its worth it
StrizaKnight: Met a friend there. Nice chill environment. Friendly staff, good food.
R Len: Great restaurant. The small plates were really good. We had brussel spouts, potatoes, salmon. Went on a Thursday evening and the vibe was fun, music was playing. I will definitely return.

bronwyn miller: The tapas they have are oftentimes fantastic, when they are available. The first time I went I tried several different ones with a friend and they were fantastic, but I've been back a few times since then and each time we've been I've had to make a list of like ten things I'd want to eat because they are usually out of stock of at least half of the menu, or the oven is down, or various other problems. This has happened even when I came right after opening, and also I've had problems with the last couple times I was in food coming out subpar or burnt. Hopefully the quality and availability gets back up to where it used to be, because their squash blossoms are wonderful.Vegetarian options: This place is very meat heavy, but there are some vegetarian options, if they actually have them in stock. Very very few vegan options.Parking: All parking is street parking so depending on the day of the week and the time of day, you may have to park a ways away.

Abbey Theban: I was super bummed about my dining experience here. My husband and I are new parents and had scheduled a much needed night out to try Sanctuaria. Unfortunately the service was not great and neither was the food or drinks. We made reservations to sit outside but were sat inside. Not ideal, but no biggie. It was starting to get chilly anyway. Then, we ordered drinks and a first round of food. My husband got his drink and I never got mine. Our waitress also didn’t come back. After 20 minutes, we flagged down someone else to check on my drink. Then several minutes later they came back saying that my drink couldn’t be made because they were out of some of the ingredients. So they suggested an espresso martini, which also took awhile to make and it was honestly the worst espresso martini I’ve had. It basically just tasted like vodka. Not to mention it was like $15. Then, our next round of food came out burnt. We sent it back and it was our understanding that it would be remade. Turns out they also ran out of ingredients for this dish as well. Although the waitress did say that the cook assumed we just didn’t want it anymore. All this to say, it just felt like our time and attendance was not valued. We went into the evening planning on staying for quite awhile, ordering plenty of food and drinks but after this whole experience, we asked for the check as soon as possible and left. And we STILL spent over $80. Overall, we were super disappointed and will probably not go back.
Trent Kapla: I can honestly say I've never left a restaurant hungry until I came here. One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. After we were seated, we waited 20 min for menus...it seemed like the patrons on the patio listening to live music got preferential treatment. We had to ask for a server and then the bartender had to serve us. We ordered 4 tapas and 2 cocktails in 2 hours and felt forced out as the establishment closed at 9. Definitely wanted to order more tapas and dessert but no one would come check on us and see if we wanted to order more. The staff serving the patio definitely saw us with empty water and plates but didn't seem to alert our bartender/server. Could've been a staffing issue, could've been the holiday weekend but definitely a very poor experience. On the bright side, food was pretty good overall.
Kathy Risse: Pictures cant do the place justice you need to go see for yourself. Get a drink stay for the Tapas. YUM the patio is a delight to dine on and must see as well.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Cabrales Cigars, Bacon-Wrapped Dates …More

Susen Nelson: It was Birthday and my kids took me here for brunch. We sat outside. They do have a nice outside area. Upon arrival there was one other table on a Sunday at brunch time this should of been our clue. I will say I server was nice and he suggested items. The beverages were GOOD. The food was Horrible!. My daughter ordered steak and eggs. Steak was raw(ordered med) and eggs was hard potatoes were ice cold, son ordered omelette the first one had hair in it second potaoes was ice cold and my biscuit and chirizo gravy not edible. The fries and queso was good. All this to say spent $100 and did't even eat. No apologizes or try to make things rights and this is when NO one is in there. All 3 of us are in the Hospitality Industry and we take customer services serious and we tip accordingly!
Jeffrey Halverson: Been here for dinner and was happy. Came here for lunch and was disappointed. Most of our food was tasteless. When my wife said that a certain dish needed salt. My jaw dropped. Never in our 14 years together has she ever said that in regards to a meal. The plantain small plate came with a bean dip and some sort of cilantro dip. The bean dip had absolutely no flavor at all. The cilantro dip had an excessive amount of oil. All i could taste was the oil and that was it. The waffle i would say was delicious. The menu looks amazingly delicious but was a let down. A definite not for sure.
Joseph Tehandon: The idea and concept is a great draw, love the theme of the whole place. The staff from my short interaction was good no real complaints. All were helpful and courteous. What was i have to say a disappointment was the price for the quality ratio. Spend close to 15$ per drink that are sizes of shots. The food was okay but could be better. So if looking for new and interesting place please try but just know it will be on the costly side.
Youthika Chauhan: Great food with several vegetarian options. Vegan options are limited, but there are some. Drinks are fantastic. And as someone who has worked at a restaurant, I found their service commendable. Will visit again!Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian options are available
Lisa Geary: Enjoyed trying some new dishes here. The Bacon-wrapped Dates and the Mozzarella Plantins were my favorite!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Devil Bites, Bacon-Wrapped Dates …More
Christopher Clark: Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Devil BitesMore
Matt Fleshman: Staff was nice which the reason for the 2 stars, because everything else about Sanctuaria was poor. Food has zero flavor and very poor quality. Some items on the small plate menu came out burnt. Told they no longer off the Charcuterie Board because they can’t get the items after Covid…Funny…aged meats and cheeses are available everywhere else. Extremely overpriced, poor food quality, no taste. Disappointed….
Amanda Cooper: Food was not good. Everything was really bland/tasteless. The sliders were the only decent thing we ate. For the price, we were expecting much more. The mushrooms seemed like they were taken out of the can and dumped into a flavorless dressing. The sangria tasted like apple juice.Honestly, it could have been half the price and we still would not come back..My husband and I get very few date nights when the stars align and we’re both free the same night we can get a sitter. I definitely regret picking this place. The atmosphere was super awkward. Jack Johnson’s Imagine cover playing at a just audible level felt way out of place for the theme. Lights too bright, felt more like an empty cafeteria.I feel really bad writing this review, but don’t waste your money. We try to patronize different local businesses and restaurants and this one was a big disappointment. Our server was awesome and so nice! She alone saved it from being an absolute waste.
Simon Huang: Wife variety of small plates available. We enjoyed the devil bites and Beggars purse, the kabobs and wings were just ok.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Devil Bites …More
chelsea kiser: Love the food, unique and flavorful. Service and drinks are hit or miss. I’ve ordered the same drink multiple times and it tastes different every time. My partner’s drinks were unbalanced and watery. In the summer it’s like a sweat box. Like I said, food pretty legit but it’s a toss up as far as atmosphere every time.

j w: Not a great meal & not stellar service. Ordered salad with dressing in the side, but came swimming instead… sauce on pasta was room temp, meat over cooked and dry, drink was ordered and charged for but never served. Bartender bussed his own bar, moved/emptied garbage can & sorted empty bottles, touched ordered screen & processed credit cards, cleaned bar area with bar rag and was in the back kitchen eating from his hands, never washed his hands once in hour and half.Gross. Overrated.

rell Iri: The Hill Anthoninos spot was terrific. The food, the taste, the service, and, most of all, the price were unique.I went early, so it wasn't as crowded, and I was served some bread with oil(salt pepper, most time garlic), a typical Italian custom. 👍👍 everything tasted fresh and enough for two people size-wise, which was a plus because I got to take some food home. I went with the ravioli awarded which was shown on the food network👍. Then I went with the shrimp Alfredo and my fiance went with spaghetti and meatballs, and WOW, that's all I can say incredible. I definitely will be going back to try other foods. On the CON side, parking around the area was hard to find.Parking: A bit of a mission to find parking

Wondering if the fried chicken recipe changed because it was overly breaded with lack of flavor. Side salad had like no dressing on it. The burger brought out came out raw in the center. Definitely not worth the price for the quality expected.

Adair Fuller: I had previously given Juniper 5 stars but dropped it a star after our last visit. The server was abysmal and we heard other people in our area complaining, one saying she could see the server on her phone instead of checking on her tables. We were checked on twice by her during our hour and a half in the restaurant. Thankfully other staff in the restaurant were able to attend to us, even fixing my drink after I ordered an NA cocktail and was brought something else. Our food arrived slightly cold and incorrect. The server messed up my husband's order and when we brought this to her attention, she said the kitchen could fix it but our ticket would go to the back of the line and would be a minimum of 20 minutes. As we were leaving my husband said to me if this was our first visit to Juniper we wouldn't be coming back. Thankfully we know this server is the exception not the rule, but we sincerely hope Sophie is not still a server the next time we visit.
Faybra Jabulani: The dining room is smaller than I thought it would be but the main courses were good. The caviar deviled eggs are too salty. Overall the experience was good and I would definitely eat here again.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Scott Mueller: Brunch at Juniper Restaurant in STL. Matt had Eggs Benedict, April had a hot chicken buscuit with a Great red pepper jelly on it. I had a Chilliquies that was excellent. Great food. I would come back.
Tony Thompson: Was a great Date night pick. The atmosphere was new and vibrant. Well lit and upbeat feel. The food was excellent, large portions at a reasonable price. The service was great for a busy night. Not a long wait once our order was taken. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Family Chicken Dinner, Bread Basket, Juniper Burger, Mashed Potatoes …More
Misty Gilbert: Our server was great and the ambiance was wonderfully quirky without a hint of pretentiousness.
Jesse Shepp: I have wanted to eat here for the longest, we finally made reservations and I was disappointed. Like others have said the service was lacking and food was ok. The food is way over priced for the overall experience. It does seem as though their specialty may be the chicken which we did not have. Glad we tried it, however I would not go back.
John: Good food! Unfortunately, had probably the worst experience with a waiter that I've ever had in my life and won't be back. After arriving and being seated, we met our waiter, Liam. At first, Liam was polite and cheery while he walked us through the menu -- until we told him we were ordering fried chicken. At this point, Liam became openly hostile towards us, presumably because the total bill would be lower and thus his tip. For the few times he could be bothered to visit our table after ordering, he was monotone, dismissive and generally unpleasant. Yuck. We won't be back.
Anneka: I had a wonderful time here for my partner's birthday. I emailed ahead, asked for the window seat, we were running late, I called ahead, it was still reserved for us, for that I was v grateful & relieved.Food was great. I had fried chicken, delish, my partner had the grilled catfish, that came with fingerling potatoes. Mine came with mash. I love the bread basket, it has changed over the years from 5 pieces to 3. I miss those 2 other pieces but understand that might be too much for a lot of people. My only issue, is the floor!!! It is so slippy. I've never walked on a floor quite like this. I was wearing stiletto heels & had to take baby steps I was so scared I would slip & fall. I felt stupid walking so weird. My partner commented on it. It was like ice in those shoes... I wondered if it was just my shoes but I spoke to two friends who also had the same problem. One said that she did slip in her heels. So, owners/mgmt if you see this! Maybe you should add something to the floor so we can dress our best when we come over!
Medicare With Roz: Met with friends and were amazed at the quality and amount of food. Nothing was a disappointment. The cocktail drink menu had a lot of unique selections and even had a NA beer option. The fried chicken was flavorful and juicy, the jalapeño poppers and bread plates were delicious, the catfish, pork, ribeye and shrimp were all cooked to perfection. Everything was visually appealing, garnished with micro greens and plated with character. The only issues we had was asking for a set of silverware and not receiving them before the appetizer and then missing the breadcrumbs on the mac and cheese which really wasn’t that impressive. Our server was attentive and our food came out in a timely manner, which was great since we ordered so much. We will be back. Oh and expect to drop over $125 if you’re ordering every course. Thanks for the experience Juniper. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Nate B: We enjoyed this place. Service was slow. I had the Jambalaya and my friend had the burger. Food was average. My friend got sick later after eating the burger. Band was great. We went on a Wednesday. I highly recommend even just going for the band alone. The cover was $14. I would recommend this place.Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mayra Baird: Wow this place didn't disappoint, the oysters were so fresh and tasty. The house soup was packed with flavor and that cornbread was to die for. I also got the mussels and they were steaming hot and super tasty. It looks a little sketchy from the outside but this little hole in the wall is definitely a good find.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Gulf Oysters on the Half Shell, Prince Edward Island Mussels …More

Fady Antoon: The restaurant falls short in terms of food quality and cleanliness. The burger lacked flavor, and I had to request table cleaning upon arrival. Overall, improvements are needed for a more satisfactory dining experience.

Ana Dombrowski: Order Brazil nuts encrusted mangego, excelente appetizer. My husband order Cubaniche and loved it, I ordered Ropa Vieja and it's to die for. Our bartender/ server was very knowledgeable and made us feel at home. Also, tried Passion fruit mojito, it is great. Thanks for a great Saturday afternoon..Vegetarian options: Just saw it on the menu. Don't know the taste.

Claire Stone: So wonderful! Saturday was our second visit and we have decided that this is in our top 3 favorite St. Louis restaurants. We do not live close, but discovered this place for the first time a couple of months ago when we were looking for a place to eat before a show downtown. My husband and I try a new restaurant each time we have a show or event in the area. We had a great experience that first time, so we decided to return to sample more of the menu. Crab empanadas were out of this world...hummus was the most unique I have ever had. Our goal is to try everything on the menu. Thanks again!
Gina Squires: Bartender was very attentive. We had a Saturday evening dinner reservation. When we arrived the restaurant was virtually empty so we had the pick of tables. Our server was pleasant. Food came out of the kitchen one meal at a time unfortunately so 3 of us were finished with our meal before the 4th meal was served. Soups came out last, and was lukewarm. I have eaten here before, but will most likely not return. Overall , our experience was a disappointment.
Katherine Colombo: Great food, fun atmosphere, and very friendly staff. Highly recommend for a date night or fun night out with friends!
J. R. Boedeker: I have always wanted to love this place. Three of my favorite food styles are Cuban, Creole, and Caribbean. This place should be a match made in heaven. It's really good, but... hmm, how to say it? It's close but just not quite there. I respect the upgraded, modernized variations on some classics, I really do.I'll just say this. The most important ingredient in a gumbo is the roux. That's all.I like their food a lot. I just don't love it as much as I want to.Parking: Park in back or across the street.

Nomes: Came here for some dinner and drinksThey have some cocktails on their paper menu, but they have a more expansive cocktail menu online. I wish they would (maybe they do?) publish the larger menu. The tiramisu martini was incredible. We mainly had appetizers, the coconut rundown sauce was quite delicious though I personally don’t like wings.Crab empanadas I must say, the black bean purée though good by itself, took away from the subtle flavor of the empanada. And a quick note on decor, loved the vibe! The bar seats are whimsical

andrew beach: Great dining experience- Italian chopped salad a must! If you like lasagna, you’ll LOVE Charlie Gitto’s lasagna!
Marcia Clement: Great food although the red sauce is not my favorite. Very nice atmosphere. Make reservations!
Alan Musk: great time had by all!
Christie Del Re: They made it extremely evident that they don’t care about people dining solo, as was made clear during the entirety of my visit. From the rude host trying to get me to eat at the bar when I made a reservation, to the tucked away corner table in the far back of the restaurant, to the server who shifted focus on larger tables. As someone who travels for work frequently and often dines alone, I expect the same level of service and attention that a larger party would. On top of that, the food came extremely quick, an indication that it is not made fresh, and very over-peppered to the point that it needed to be remade. I did not want the dish anymore, and the server pushed me to have them remake it so I could take it with me (in an attempt to ensure I would still pay for it), needless to say, I gave it to a homeless man after I left. For being one of the most popular Italian restaurants in St. Louis, and not super busy, I would have expected a better experience. Will not be returning, I will choose one of the many other Italian restaurants nearby.
Myra Lorio: A bit noisy inside for my taste, but the patio was perfect!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Tiramisu 12, Veal Marsala, Cannoli, Arancini …More

First Place Cuisine: Great food (Vodka martini, lobster bisque/salmon, creme brûlée ), server wasn’t friendly though which I don’t understand bc it’s a customer service job to begin with. Steve Singer: Lasagna was terrificChocolate Fudge cake was great, but actually not as good as it had been in the pastI've always gone to the now temporarily closed Chesterfield location (due to storm damage and remodeling) and I think the Lasagna was even better On the Hill versus Chesterfield and I didn't think that was possible. Chesterfield's Lasagna has a sweet flavor thrown in and I liked that but The Hill's Lasagna is denser and probably has more meat
Jordan Reed: Went here for my 2 year anniversary one of the boys that run the food out was really musty me and my date both smelled him. Server was joe it’s like he was forcing us to order expensive drinks ! food was okay will not be returning never ever !!!!

India Simpson: I enjoyed a nice solo dinner here on Easter. Although I was late for my reservation, they sat me with no problem. The seafood risotto and cream spinach were delicious. The wine menu here can be a little overwhelming, so I really appreciated the manager's (who is also a sommelier) paring suggestion.

Katie Ineich: One of my favorite spots, especially when I can sit on the patio. The food is pretty good, but I come for the tasty cocktails and the atmosphere. The staff/bartenders are often friendly, but I wish there was a designated (or maybe clearly marked) spot to order at the bar when it's busy people are camped out or wating at the bar.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mark Zeman: Small neighborhood bar with glass brick windows that provide great light and a cozy feel. Warm wood interior, good drink selection, very pleasant wait staff, and a small yet ambitious menu. The back patio is great in the Spring time! R Cusick: I know they were trying, but they could have used a lot more help on Wednesday night for Queertown Underground. Hopefully it's better by the next time. Bartenders were extremely gruff with folks who waited 20-30 minutes for a drink. Water on the patio ran out. General sense of overwhelm. I loved their space (especially that super cute bathroom), but I'm concerned it's too small of a venue for all us South City queers. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
Nomes: Came here for an event, all that was available were drinks and Kate night menu.Absolutely loved the vibes of the patio. The fire pits, grape vines. All of itOnly two bartenders on staff and they held their own. Did wait some time, but considering the crowd. Bravo.Good cocktail menu too
