La Pâtisserie Chouquette: what do users think?
Lori A: What an amazing stop! The pastries taste as amazing as they look, which is phenomenal. We didn't get a drink, but those looked decadent as well! The staff were all incredibly friendly & happy to help.
Daniel N: Sparkling hibiscus-5 starIced Vietnamese Cold Brew-5 starCanele - rum cake with crunchy outside..delicious!Almond Croissant-very flaky and delicious just what you’re hoping it would be.Everything was super!-the pic of the box is 2 treats taking home!!
H Copeland: Not thrilled with customer service. I called very early before a holiday and was told pre-orders for that special event would be available at some point *after* a *specific* date. Called back the morning of that exact date to see about placing an order and they told me pre-orders opened about a week prior and were already sold out. Would have been nice to know that I needed to check their website every day after I initially called to make sure I didn't miss it. This day meant a lot to me, so I'm very disappointed I didn't even have an opportunity.I went a couple years ago for a macaron and it was disappointing. Great variety of flavors offered, but the technical execution is poor. The texture isn't what a true macaron should be. Their croissants weren't well-executed from a technical baking standpoint either, which I could tell just by visual appearance.
nicole kekich: The baklava cheesecake is life-changing!!! Delicious!
Sarah Hubmeier: My family had Tea Time to celebrate my birthday and it was AMAZING! The menu was really varied and everyone enjoyed trying so many different items. We had tea, savory foods, and lots of yummy deserts. The presentation was beautiful and the service was impeccable. We all - husband, 16 YO daughter, & 13 YO son - had a great experience.
X Gemstone: If you haven't been here yet... you are missing out! 🤯 Chef Simone's bourbon rolls are the stuff of Magix. The coffee and Thai tea are tied for 1st! I xpecially enjoy when split drinks are available. My mouth is watering thinking about her pecan pies during the fall season... OOO her 🥓 🌽 muffins are also 🔥This place fueled me through the entire pandemic. I'm serious. It was the only place that made me feel safe.
Shih-Ching Lin: Their passion fruit mille crepe is awesome. Saturday special.
Madeline Alexander: Such a cute place with delicious pastries. Definitely a splurge but worth it if you want to indulge.
Bessie Hairston: Nice place to eat
A B: Pasteries are to die for. Taste so good!! The rest was a bit of a mess.. They got my order wrong. And the pasteries were crammed into too tight boxes making them messy and damaging their beauty. Next time I will try to come at a less busy time and have a sit down.
Cadence Giddings: A great patisserie! I love to visit when I am in the area. The macarons are perfectly made. They offer a wide selection of flavors- it’s hard to choose so you might as well get one of each! The other pastries are delicious too. The service is also good.
Jeanette Days: Went today for the very first time. Loved EVERYTHING! The atmosphere was AMAZING! Can't wait to go back.
Cynthia Espino: A must stop spot if you are visiting St. Louis! The DARKNESS Croissant is exceptional as well as the Vietnamese Iced Cold Brew. Staff are super friendly, and they do a great job of moving the line quickly. They do sell out quickly, so plan accordingly.
Debjit Roy: Delicious pastry and savoury. We also got our birthday cake from them. It was pretty nice. Only thing with the cake was they didn’t have much varieties, but everyone loved that cake. It’s also so nice that if one goes there at noon on weekends, they won’t get most of the stuff.
Kia Cook: This place has the best macaroons! They are huge and buttery--the flavor gets better as they sit for a while. The decor of la pâtisserie is also luxe! Great place to go when visiting Saint Louis.
Austin Patton: This place was FANTASTIC (excluding the lemon croissant at least). I tried three things: the blueberry and almond tart, the tiramisu brownie, and the lemon stuffed croissant. Ignoring the croissant, I think this place is deserving of a 5 star rating. The homemade whipped cream on top of the tart was a great touch and overall the tart was very moist. Even though I’m generally not a big tart fan, I got it as the cashier recommended it and I would also definitely recommend it to anyone who goes there. The tiramisu brownie was very good, but my only complaint is that I didn’t really taste the undertones of coffee or mascarpone cheese that you would typically taste in tiramisu. The white layer seemed to taste more like cream cheese as if this was a chocolate cheesecake brownie instead. But even with the flavor profile that was different than what I expected, this brownie was still excellent. The lemon croissant was easily the least impressive pastry I ate here. It was relatively bland compared to the other two things, and the croissant was a tad dry. The filling wasn’t very sweet and only had a slight taste of lemon to it. I wouldn’t recommend it as I didn’t think it was worth the calories.
Johnson Lancaster: Shared the tiramisu brownie with a friend. It was delicious.
Mckenzie Mcmurray: I highly recommend La Pâtisserie Chouquette!Their macarons are fantastic, and we recently ordered a 48-hour cake for my daughter’s birthday. It was delicious and I can’t wait to get one for my birthday next month! Lol
Deep Chatterjee: It was my first visit. Pastries and other sweets are unique and great to taste. We brought some stuff for later. The ambiance of the place is also great. We went right when they opened and were there for a couple of hours, and I noticed they sell out quickly. So you have to be early.
Ed Mantia: Always an indulging treat. Excellent in categories.
Faybra Jabulani: Some of the best treats in town, and the chicory drinks are lovely.

The Cup: what do users think?
Brianne Vaught: Very cute and welcoming. the cupcakes are amazing!
Hanna Wilson: Voted #1 Cupcake in St. Louis
Libby Ramm: Best cupcakes in St. Louis
Shawn: Always outstanding cupcakes! Great flavor combinations, fun seasonal specials, light and moist cake, and perfectly fluffy buttercream.
Mark Sommer: Delicious
Ruth Ruth: Delicious and Fresh!!
Hailey Ray: My husband and I live 3 hours away from St. Louis, but every time we come to the city we always make a special trip to The Cup no matter how far away. They have BY FAR the best cupcakes we’ve ever had! Every time we come in they have new flavors for us to try and the staff is always so friendly and amazing. We could not recommend this place more!
Holli Kirsch: Please go here! Not only are the cupcakes delicious, but the staff was so kind. Our group was walking back to our car when the tornado sirens started going off and the green suddenly turn nasty green. It was terrifying. We dashed into their storefront. The staff was calm and went out of their way to make sure everyone was safe.
Jill M: Consistently amazing!
4_Ever _Gr8teful: Very pretty and clean bakery. The cupcakes and icing are just delicious! Always enjoy walking here from work. It's great! It's ducked off on a quiet street in the CWE. My favorite are the confetti cupcakes.
Cayla Rauss: I went to The Cup for a cupcake because I heard that they had a really good vegan cupcake. I went in and was not disappointed. The chocolate vegan cupcake was to die for!!!!
Prithvi Shah: I bought three cupcakes Gold Rush, Vegan chocolate and a Strawberry on a Saturday night. The strawberry cupcake was absolutely delicious and fresh (recommend it); but the other two were not at all fresh, tasted 2-3 days old, and we honestly did not enjoy (or even finish) them.Next time we go there, we would probably ask what's the freshest they carry...esp for what's atleast $4 a piece.
bronwyn miller: best cupcakes I’ve had!! the cake is so moist and delicious. sometimes the amount of buttercream is enough to hurt your teeth a little. i’m partial to the red velvet but i’ve never had a bad cupcake from them
Shaunna Dunn: Today was my son's 7th Birthday. I'd invited friends and family to share the experience. I was excited when noticed The Cup offered the birthday cakes. My son hates confetti but loves the white cake with buttercream icing. Before ordering I called and asked could I request the confetti cake without the confetti. The baker informed me I could. I let the baker know my name and let her know I was submitting my order. She informed me to write in the notes my request. I submitted my order and wrote "confetti on the side". I go to pick up my cake today and there was confetti all over the cake. Birthday cake ruined 😒!! I pulled the recipe request next to the cake and my request was highlighted. So upset. Please pay special attention to request especially if it's a child's birthday.
Kelly Bogda: Very disappointed. I recommended this company to an out of town parent of a WashU student that wanted to do something special for their child for their birthday. The parent contacted the bakery and placed an order and arranged for delivery, and then the bakery cancelled at the last minute and did not contact the parent. I will not recommend them again.
J E: The strawberries and crème cupcake and the coffee cake cupcake are so delicious. Well worth the drive! The ladies are always so nice when I come in and the prices are so good. Will be back soon for our sweet treat.
Scott Grilliot: These cupcakes are like they are made by an Angel using God’s recipe. I have had many cupcakes in my life, from places all over the USA but these are the best cupcakes I’ve had in my entire life.
gwen oliver: No problems
Richard Sobieralski: Awesome cupcakes! I’ve never had any better!!!
Johnathan B: Amazing, best date dessert hands down.
armando leos: The coffee was not that great!also no cash change?!😒

Cravings Gourmet Desserts: what do users think?
Rick Hurlbut: Amazing and delicious. Very smooth rich chocolates with wonderful flavors inside. Beautiful to look at and incredible to eat.
MMMcrafter: Their specialty is pastries, for what they cost they are worth it. The staff were relaxed and helpful. I'd love to see more gluten free items on the menu.
Zaven Nalbandian: So this place has basically closed down all inside dining (except once a month wine tastings). The dessert we ordered was a Boston Crème Pie, it was frozen and once it thawed it was dry and short on flavor. It was an item for one person and was $10, so way over priced. Too bad the hype doesn’t match the reality.
C Shep: The wedding cake we ordered was beautiful and delicious! Tim was extremely easy and pleasant to work with, as well as, accommodating!
Jessica Kinnard: This restaurant never disappoints. Amazing desserts and service.
Denise Edgar: I ordered Thanksgiving dinner for two. I was completely satisfied. It had all the trimmings. Each part of the meal had it own distinct flavor. I have been going there and ordering from they for years. At first it seems a little pricey. When you taste the food here you would pay twice as much. The mashed potatoes are unbelievable. Who knew. I'll be back
Kenneth Kern: Baker could care less if you get what you paid for. Ordered 2 layer carrot cake wi Happy Birthday dad. They did not decorate cake, was 7 inch instead of 9 inch, was 1 layer instead of 2 layer. Never again. I paid $50. For it.
MC Dasch: We had our wedding cake made by Tim. He the one of the most lovely human beings you will ever meet. And the cake was absolutely fantastic. Everyone loved it. He is such a genuine and humble person and an amazing professional.
Sendin Bajric: I have been to two of their Food & Wine Pairing Events so far. From both of the events, I have been amazed at how delicious the food can be. The entrees have so much flavor and variety that I enjoyed each course. The desserts are just fantastic are truly the spotlight. The scones are delicious. Tim and his team are fantastic. If you ever get a chance to meet Tim and have a conversation, you are in for a treat.
Johnny Warner: Just dont think they even taste good at all id rather eat a mud pie
Amber Callan: We had a really lovely time at Cravings tonight! Every dessert we tried was delicious and we had really friendly & quick service.
Bro B: In the past the staff and customer service has been great. But the last time I was in, the day counter worker was not in a very good mood and was not helpful at all. I hope this was just an off day but if not, I am done recommending this place to people. I will follow up to this post on my next experience.- Follow up, the cake was wonderful but the counter person was not the most friendly.
Mark Monika: Went here for desert and both ones we got were old. One had mold on it and the other smelled like old milk. Never going here again.
Ashley: We went here for dessert and had mold on our cheese cake- he didn’t even take out the cheesecake out of the display after we said something. Then the cupcake we also got tasted like it was old. I do not recommend ever going back here. I literally feel like I’m gonna be sick.
R-D: WONDERFUL DESSERTS!!!!!!!!!!!
Cindy Belgeri: Stopped for dessert with friends. First time experience.
Thomas kurzenberger: We stopped by for dessert, coffee, and after dinner drinks and it was fantastic! Can't wait to go back and try dinner there.
Jesse Stuart: Always a treat when coming here!!
Jason Gusdorf: Best cakes in the Midwest.
Susan Talley: Wonderful, low key ambienceGreat service .....Creative menu with perfect execution!
Timothy's Restaurant: L❤️ VE this place! & The wine dinners are sooo spot on. They pair a lot of the same wines with both savory and dessert. Win Win 🎉

Vincent Van Doughnut: what do users think?
Ms Buchanan: Close at 2pm but only have bacon glazed doughnuts @ 11am!
Aimee Tuohey: So so good! Chocolate chip cookie dough is the best if you love that kinda thing and yeast donuts. Super super helpful and friendly.
Deanna South: Stellar donuts! The staff was amazing about explaining the types and flavors. We tried the Maple Bacon, Lemon Lavender, Samoa, and Cookie Dough. All were amazing but the Lemon Lavender was my favorite
Ralph Lauren: Favorite doughnut shop always have something new I love the huge doughnuts customer service is great also.
Correy Hunt: A staple of donuts and the service is exceptional
Kathy Carson: I need to start by saying I hate doughnuts. Having said that, I went to Vincent Van Doughnut three times in 11 days. Some of the donuts are still a little too sugary for me, but I have to say the fillings are amazing. And I cannot say enough about the Bavarian Cream Doughnut. IMHO the Bavarian Cream at Vincent Van Doughnut is the best donut I have ever eaten in my life. It is the Holy Grail of Doughnuts! A perfect balance between sweet and creamy packaged in an airy yeast doughnut shell. If you're in St. Louis, stop by Vincent Van Doughnut, you won't regret it!
Amy Denker: We discovered this gem this morning during our quick weekend trip to St. Louis. The location is great, atmosphere is awesome, the staff is friendly and kind, and the doughnuts are out of this world delicious! Highly recommend!! We will absolutely be back the next time we are in STL!
The Holtzys: Just amazing, can't get enough.
Scott Miller: Absolutely the best donuts, second to none!
jordan yancey: Thank you!
Chris Higgs: Good doughnuts. Got to meet Mr. Van Doughnut himself.
Steven Gravatte: Tasty donuts, reasonable prices, and very friendly!
Andreas Apostolopoulos: These donuts were the bomb! Cake donuts, yeast raised donuts, they're all good! These aren't wimpy donuts and will satisfy you!👌
Joe Arozarena: Small, local bakery with large, fancy donuts, coffee and some other breakfast pastry.
MG: Lovely place for coffee and doughnuts. I would suggest y’ll to go in the morning cause it gets sold out pretty fast until evening. The staffs are always welcoming and friendly as well 🏻.
jennifer manolis: The French toast donut was delicious
Curtis Boulware: Loved the coffee and donuts and the staff was so awesome.
Malena Reyes: The atmosphere here was calm and relaxed and I felt at home right when I walked into the door! Only thing that kept me from a 5 star was the cake donuts did seem a little dry but the lemon lavender yeast donut was a stellar option.
Melissa Nicole: Doughnut selection is amazing and they are delicious! My favorite was the french toast doughnut!
Brad Nauman: Very friendly crew here.If Sweet and sugar is what you’re after this is your spot. Dessert for breakfast.
kristin meyer: They have GF donuts on Friday! I've gone twice now on Fridays and gotten 1 of every flavor. So exciting to have GF baked goods in STL

Adelle's bakery: what do users think?
Oscar Garcia: Very good
Richard Nelson: Wonderful employees. Fairly decent selection.Mediocre pricing.Food tasted... no better, but thankfully no worse, than any other "run of the mill" coffee / donut house. What letter do I use again for the "Straight" face? Oh yeah.. :|
Mary Asher: I found Adelle's through Instagram. Prior to the Covid-19 threat, you could walk into the bakery, browse, and pay in store. When I found them last week, they did not yet have a website for ordering. The Instagram page would post the items available for purchase (pick up curbside or delivery). I sent the owner a direct message with my order and she sent me an invoice to pay through PayPal. Another friend called and placed her order and over the phone. Here are the items I tried:-Sausage biscuit $3.25-Chocolate cherry cheese brownie $2.75-Sticky bun $3.75- wonderful!-Sausage hand pie $3.75- the best crust and very full of filling; other flavors available-Cinnamon roll $3.50- just order! They also are making "busy boxes" with either 6 or 8 glazed sugar cookies. You can choose your theme: spring, Cardinals, or Easter. There are 2 tubs of sprinkles and various toppings and 4 baggies of frosting. We ordered several large boxes at $35/each and delivered them to friends quarantined at home with children.
Christopher Boyes: We missed a Vegas birthday due to Covid and put in an order for a Vegas themed cookie cake, not sure if that was something she would do. And boy were we surprised. Not only was it delicious but it blew our minds. Thanks so much!
Melody C: This was our first time ordering from Adelle’s. We ordered the hand pies, savory scone, cookies and the biscuits for curbside delivery. Everything was delicious and came out quick!
Anne Schlotterlein: Kelly made a super cute cookie-cake for my friend's birthday and delivered it to her door (with a bottle of wine!). It turned out great, and I was able to do the whole thing via email, since I'm not in the state. Thank you so much. You made her day, and mine!
Kate Kingma Lee: Everything we got was so delicious. I can’t wait to go back for more. We got the banana bread, spinach & artichoke quiche, sausage hand pie & a cinnamon roll. I want to try the chocolate chip banana bread next!
Tracy Hallquist: The treats that we purchased today were amazing and so tasty. Such a cute shop, it was hard to make the selection of what to get, but everyone I'm sharing with today is LOVING them! We choose the Pineapple upside down slice, cinnamon roll, cherry cheesecake brownie, gooey butter cake and a chocolate chip banana bread! Delicious!!!!

Great Harvest Bread Co: what do users think?
Tony Brown: We ordered the BLT sandwich and were very disappointed. There was literally one slice of bacon on each side of the sandwich. Bacon was not cooked all the way. So, soggy bacon and bread wasn’t toasted. All for $13. Will not be returning.
Precious Dela Rosa: What a lovely bakery and coffee shop. I picked up a loaf of rosemary garlic bread, mini carrot cake loaf, and a cherry white chocolate scone. Just delightful.
Randy Gustafson: The best bread in the area and the cinnamon rolls are enough to kill for. It's worth the trip. I can't wait until the farmers market in Lake St. louis opens back up so I don't have to make such a long drive.
Morgan Phillips: Once you have their bread, you’ll never go back to grocery store brands! Every sweet or savory bread that I’ve tried is incredible. Plus, all of the staff are super kind and upbeat!
Ceiara H: Today was my first time coming here. I got the brownie in the container it was so dry and since it’s so thick it made it inedible. The mocha chip scone was great tho. Purely for the fact that a $4.50 brownie had to be thrown away i won’t be back.
Daniel Duarte: Absolutely delicious! Great taste and quality. The service is amazing, Steve was so wonderful explaining everything... Loved everything about this place
Elvis C.: This bakery is right inside a cafe and offers many healthy options of bread. The owner was very friendly and passionately offered me some samplings of their breads. Though I’m not a big fan of breads, their tomato herbs bread was impressive. Eventually we bought the hot cocoa biscotti, which is great!
Ada Ezenwa-Autrey: Great product and staff. All ingredients in products are pure/ easy to pronounce and wholesome. They just started making breakfast sandwiches using their homemade biscuits. Yummy.
Sue Savage: Honey wheat bread is delicious! As is the cinnamon chip bread.
Paula Albrecht: This is a great bakery. Their items are fresh and delicious! We started coming here about a month ago to purchase sourdough bread and usually find other things to buy as well.
Shannon Schindler Redman: For all the people who have given up on bread, or you think bread is bad or wrong... May you bless your body with this WHOLESOME YUMMINESS!! This loaf was given to me by a new friend as a gift and a GIFT it had been beyond my comprehension 🙏 Experience wholeness, guilt free and full of pleasure the way bread is supposed to be... handmade by family, in a kitchen daily, designed to nurish your body and fully satisfy. Thank you Steve beyond measure!
Sharon Smith: I got high grain low carb dinner roll size bread and a small cinnamon loaf. Just the size for a single person who is always watching carb intake plus very yummy and fresh!! I always taste a sample if there is something new.
Nick Teal: The breads and muffins are very good, and the cinnamon rolls are absolutely amazing - hands down one of the best I've ever had (arguably the single best I've ever had). Owner and employees have always behaved kindly and professionally. Added bonus - they share a building with a coffee shop which for me kills two birds with one stone when I'm making a pastry run, or picking up bread and coffee as groceries. Highly recommend!
Amaris Peters: I am giving two stars instead of one for the friendliness and quick service of the staff. My companion and I did not experience any problems in these areas. However, the food itself was just not great. We were surprised at how not good the bread was in our sandwiches considering bread is what does company does. On top of this the sandwich ingredients were very basic with no wow factor at all, I could have easily made something better than this at home, even the bread part. The only redeeming quality was the bacon on the sandwhich was the best part, the staff (as mentioned previously), and the fact that this bread co. is attached to the coffee shop, which is pretty cool! Would return to the coffee shop but not to the bread co. unfortunately.
Mark Diehl: This is truly some great bread. Their Harvest White has a soft texture and it’s a bit sweeter than most other breads. A slice of bread makes for a nice snack all on its own, no butter or other toppings needed. I’m looking forward to trying out their other offerings.I was interested in trying their breads since they’re all preservative free, they mill their own flour, and they use traditional recipes. The end product shows they know what they’re doing and they’re good at it. Definitely coming back for more.
Laura Heidotten: I love this place so much. I love their baked goods, especially the scones, they aren't overly sweet and they pack a nice amount of both flavor and texture into every bite. The fresh baked bread is also delicious and the staff has been wonderful each and every time I've been there.
Charlie Didier: Such a happy and cute bakery!! I used to work at one of these and drove 1.5 hours to see this one. It didn't disappoint. The workers at the bakery were friendly and warm and gave generous samples. The place smelled delicious! I bought 3 loaves and a cinnamon roll!!
Johnnie Lambert: So who doesn't love a trip to the bakery? As if I didn't have enough pandemic pounds to lose, I am still always looking for a great place to visit. So I decided to visit Great Harvest Bread Company. They have two locations which are located in Kirkwood and Maplewood. I happen to live in Maplewood so I decided to take a walk on a nice day and I ventured inside. As if the thought of fresh baked goods is not tempting enough the first smell that hits you is the aroma of fresh coffee. A coffee shop up front and a bakery in back? Your diet doesn't stand a chance so just give in! So I make it to the counter in back and I am confronted with a wonderful selection of difficult choices. A few moments later and I am leaving with oatmeal raisin cookies, 2 giant cinnamon rolls and a loaf of cinnamon chip bread. All items were freshly baked. The oatmeal raisin cookies were perfect. Soft and chewy but not too sweet. The cinnamon chip bread is an experience in deliciousness. You will be absolutely hooked. I have one major complaint about the cinnamon rolls. My complaint is that they are only available twice a week. But I guess that gives me something to look forward to. The best ingredient in the house is an inviting staff that is warm and friendly. Total home run for this amazing establishment. Add a few more minutes to the treadmill because I will definitely be coming back here.
Evan Henry: Excellent customer service and super friendly staff. The muffins and scones are really good, but the bread is next level. Current favorite is sour dough marble rye.
SRMC 80: I picked up some goodies for my coworkers at Cheryl’s Herbs down the street. I was worried at first, because even though the coffee in the front of the store smelled delightful, neither one of their employees greeted me or acknowledged me. Once I walked past the coffee counter, which I believe is a separate business, the rest of the whole experience was delightful. From the samples the gentleman that helped me offered as soon as I stepped up, to the very appreciative and genuine “thank you” as I left with my order. I even bought more than I planned just because of his service. Customer Service goes a long way!!!
Joyce L: Blueberry muffin was so good and so healthy!

McArthur's Bakery: what do users think?
Sheila Marshall: We ordered a cake like we have done so many times in the last 40 years. When we arrived to pick up cake, we were told it was canceled because we had not called in and paid over the phone. A discussion was had with the person taking the order that we did not want to share a credit card number over the phone and would pay for it when we picked it up like we had done so many times in the past 40 years. Poor customer service. I guess everyone knows we won’t be back.
Joyce Bange: I've been ordering cakes from them for over 35 years. Now with new management the cakes have gotten more expensive & not as good. I ordered the cake of the month for May for my birthday. It was an 1/8 sheet which could NOT be ordered special but they did have as the cake of the month 🙄 It was funfetti cake dough, cream cheese filling & vanilla mouse icing. Sounds delicious right? It wasn't the best 😔 The cake was dry like it was made weeks ago, the cream cheese filling was almost non existent & the vanilla mouse could have been put on a bit thicker. I was really disappointed 😞. Mcarthur's needs to go back to making cakes the way they used to with love & care. Not just for money & greed.
Mike Maxwell: Sorry for going to pickup cookies a day late, was explained that very Cleary by the and it was my fault for not having knowledge of this, will not return. Sorry I interrupted the social hour.
Amanda Frey: I will never use another bakery again! McArthur’s is amazing! The cake and cupcakes are beautiful and delicious. They got this all ordered for me a few days before the party and the staff is wonderful! I’m so happy!
M Q: If you’re looking for wedding cake definitely do the tasting here it’s great and Holly is very helpful with everything
Linda Leibach: I purchased two Lamb cakes, three boxes of Easter egg cakes. They all went different places. Icing on egg cakes was so thick and sweet, even the kids wouldn't eat them. The Lamb cake was awful, cake was as bad as the icing, again, no one finished more than ONE BITE!!!! A waste of $168.00 I did call and leave a message with no response. Just received a phone call from McArthur's Bakery, if I were to have saved the bed desserts they would have refunded some of my money but being that I didn't save the eaten food they're not willing to refund any money or do anything to fix the issue. Yes I did use some curse words because the conversation did not go well, I should have known better than to come back to this Bakery after they ruined my daughter's birthday cake. Read the reviews before you make a purchase here, they are not a good Bakery whatsoever!! Bad customer service and obviously don't care at all about their customers or what they serve SAVE YOUR MONEY !!!!
Donna Harris: Too bad the bakery wouldn't let me sample a piece or buy piece of gooey butter cake. Especially since Ialready bought over 98.00 dollars worth of Bakery goods. Too bad they treat customers this way. !
Laurel Wagner: I went in to order a top tier replica of my wedding cake for our anniversary. They had my order on file from last year and were able to figure out exactly what I needed very quickly and efficiently. We couldn't have been any happier with our wedding cake experience from last year! I highly recommend McArthur's Bakery for any of your cake needs.
Stacey Stafford: Not impressed at all. Use to be very good now they're a joke. Time to find a new bakery. Not friendly either.
MK (Little Sparrow): Wonderfully nice people, who made me delicious food! I got oatmeal raisin cookies and Danish, they were superb!
Sarah Wacker: I placed an order online to have 2 cakes and a box of cookies delivered to my home for a holiday dinner party. I paid online. The day and time came that my order was to be here and it never showed up. I called 2 hours after the delivery time to check in the status. They said the order was for pickup not delivery. I don’t drive because I have a vision impairment from brain surgery a few months ago. I stated, I don’t drive, I don’t even have a car. I wouldn’t ever put to have it be a pick up order when that’s not possible. They gave me two options. To have it delivered the next day. The day after my dinner party or a store credit since it was not a canceled order 48 hours prior. Please don’t ever do business with a business who is not reasonable. I won’t ever shop here again. I’ve used them for years and I won’t anymore. If you aren’t a “normal” person or if you have a disability, don’t order online they will mess up your order too and not offer to fix the problem.
Dana Weber: Selection was not good, very limited items for purchase. Left without buying anything.
Madonna Herrmann: Awesome I have eaten lots of cakes over the years but there’s is the best in St Louis!!!
Jacklyn Lopez: Loved our wedding cake! We loved how it looked we loved how it tasted! Smooth delivery to our venue and professional communication with venue staff. Thank you McArthurs! We will be back.
Cathy Mills: Beautiful cake & cupcakes. The delivery driver was right on time and super friendly. Our small cake was delicious but I took one star off because the cupcakes were so dry, nobody at our wedding liked them and we ended up throwing away half of what we ordered.
Patty Vergano: Their birthday and wedding cakes are amazing‼️🎂
K E: Totally overpriced for an 8” decorated cake….$40 for white cake/white icing with Happy Birthday written on it. They didn’t get the cake right, it was yellow when I cut into it. Same cake at Federhofers was $28. McArthurs lost a long-term customer.
Alliccia Dwiyanti: recomended tempatnya bagus dan nyaman makannya juga enak👍🏼
Crystal Cull: I went in today to see what items I could grab to share with family. Apparently this is not the same bakery it was when I was young. No pastries or donuts, just cakes. Sad looking cakes at that. Sure, pre ordering a wedding cake might work for you....but this is not the McArthurs that I once knew and loved. I won't be back. Just heart breaking. If you're looking to stop in and have a nice selection of classic St. Louis bakery items, go to federhofers.
Tom K: Ordered a crumb coffee cake. Really disappointed it was dry and not made the way it was made in the past. Seem like it was frozen and then heated up before I picked it up.
Catherine Russell: Such a beautiful cake! I couldn’t believe how tall it was. The staff is easy to work with, and they matched the cake to my other decorations. Everyone at the party raved about the taste and texture.

Einstein Bros. Bagels: what do users think?
Jeevan Reddy: This place serves some amazing refreshments at affordable prices ,located inside the library of St louis University.
Faith Ikede: Located inside the libraryThe bagels and smoothies are really good. The staff is very nice and the customer service is very good. The only downside is that this location doesn't participate in the Einstein Bros. Bagels rewards programme but this is a corporate issue.
Ty Howard: The service there was not up to par, food wasn't so that good and the location made it difficult to find
Awkward_Snacks: I was just there a few minutes ago, and they got my order wrong TWICE. It's not even the same item on the menu I ordered! I ordered a Chocolate cold brew Shake but they just gave me a Chocolate shake. I'm super disappointed and wont be going back until they can fix their orders AND their attitudes. They were rude and didn't take my order right. Unbelievable. I would know, I used to work in service.Edit: Wow here I am again! I was at this same Einstein bros because I wanted some quick coffee, and sometimes the Starbucks on campus can get quite a wait. Absolutely horrendous staff they have here. The woman who took my order was INCREDIBLY rude. When they called my name, I went to go ask "Hey, this is the caramel coldbrew right?" because my name is very common between males and females so I didn't know if anyone else with the same name had ordered. The woman interrupted me and said very snarkily "Is your name ---? Then that's your order." and walked away. I would give 0 stars if I could, this place has terrible service.
Jacob Huls: I'm not sure anyone knows what they're doing there. Seemed wildly disorganized and slow. Out of lots of different products.
George Bisson: Not here, can't call. I think this place has closed but still says open on Google maps. If it is still there, not a single sign or inclination of where it is. If it's hidden inside the campus library then say that in your Google maps profile. Might make it easier for out of town visitors. Thanks
Latoya Vanderford: First time eating toasted bagel
Lord Rev. Shaun Boswell: Haven't been in a while but, bagels were good,, service was decent. Will review again after reopening
Madeline Daus: This is one of my favorite places to eat on SLU’s campus. The food is great! However once in a while they mess up my order. They forget to take tomatoes off my food or add an extra egg when I pay for 2 eggs. This won’t stop me from going there, and 90% of the time nothing is wrong and i have a great experience. They also took away the potato roll and turkey toastini from this location which makes me very sad because that was my favorite thing on the menu. Bring back the turkey toastini please!!
Tony Asberry: The staff is great. Bagels and drinks are pretty good. I think what is needed is SOUP. Many of the staff and students here would like soup because the library is always cold.Thank you
Ryan B: The younger staff is very friendly and motivated. However, the few older individuals are very unprofessional and unwelcoming. It's seldom a pleasant experience to order from here.
zeshan ali: lady first made the wrong shake, then when i very kindly informed her of her mistake she proceeded to give me a bad attitude and also complimented that with a very poor drink. pretty sure she spit in it, but i have a lot of studying left tonight. so therefore i will drink it and worry about this tomorrow gn.
Noor A: This place is garbage! They are slow, mess up every drink and are rude!
Daniel Webb: This location usually offers fine, but not stellar, products and services. Einstein Bros. Bagels is a chain, and so you usually know what your getting into when you go to one. But this location is on a University campus and, as often inexplicably happens, this has a somewhat negative impact on quality. It's still fine, it's just not superb. There are several other great cafes in reasonable walking distance from Pius XII library, if you want to make the journey. The big selling point for this location is that it's right here, so you don't have to take a big break from your studies. NB: it is closed for the summer (usually reopens around mid-August).
Jessica Bradish: Just got to work with the breakfast sandwich I ordered. Dryest bagel I've ever had, the cheddar that was supposed to come on the sandwich isn't there, nor is the tomato or avocado I requested and was charged for. It is also on the wrong type of bagel. Don't waste your time or money here.
Nima Ehsani: Lovely staff. Fast and great service. Ordered a bacon egg sandwich was not able to swallow it without coffee! The bagel felt over microwaved! It was my first and probably last time in any Einstein.
