I made the reservation and agreed to pay for 3 appetizers but my bill came out considerably more than what I was expecting. I thought maybe since I made the reservation and brought all the people into the restaurant that I would get a discount instead I got over charged.

andrew beach: Great dining experience- Italian chopped salad a must! If you like lasagna, you’ll LOVE Charlie Gitto’s lasagna!
Marcia Clement: Great food although the red sauce is not my favorite. Very nice atmosphere. Make reservations!
Alan Musk: great time had by all!
Christie Del Re: They made it extremely evident that they don’t care about people dining solo, as was made clear during the entirety of my visit. From the rude host trying to get me to eat at the bar when I made a reservation, to the tucked away corner table in the far back of the restaurant, to the server who shifted focus on larger tables. As someone who travels for work frequently and often dines alone, I expect the same level of service and attention that a larger party would. On top of that, the food came extremely quick, an indication that it is not made fresh, and very over-peppered to the point that it needed to be remade. I did not want the dish anymore, and the server pushed me to have them remake it so I could take it with me (in an attempt to ensure I would still pay for it), needless to say, I gave it to a homeless man after I left. For being one of the most popular Italian restaurants in St. Louis, and not super busy, I would have expected a better experience. Will not be returning, I will choose one of the many other Italian restaurants nearby.

First Place Cuisine: Great food (Vodka martini, lobster bisque/salmon, creme brûlée ), server wasn’t friendly though which I don’t understand bc it’s a customer service job to begin with. Steve Singer: Lasagna was terrificChocolate Fudge cake was great, but actually not as good as it had been in the pastI've always gone to the now temporarily closed Chesterfield location (due to storm damage and remodeling) and I think the Lasagna was even better On the Hill versus Chesterfield and I didn't think that was possible. Chesterfield's Lasagna has a sweet flavor thrown in and I liked that but The Hill's Lasagna is denser and probably has more meat
Jordan Reed: Went here for my 2 year anniversary one of the boys that run the food out was really musty me and my date both smelled him. Server was joe it’s like he was forcing us to order expensive drinks ! food was okay will not be returning never ever !!!!

The wine menu here can be a little overwhelming, so I really appreciated the manager's (who is also a sommelier) paring suggestion.

Cyn Guzman: Honestly if it wasn’t for Netflix I would of never would of gotten the chance to meet and feed myself to this place. But I am glad I did! We are residence of NWA it isn’t far and we live to eat meet and travel when can. My appetizers I got two, the fried raviolis and this huge mozzarella sticks bricks looking likes which I am so sorry for not knowing the correct name. The appetizers were fire 110% bomb. The salad tough call me crazy or perhaps I’m not but this salad it’s 10xs better than cesar salad or any vinegar salad in my travels. I grabbed the fettuccine Alfredo and my husband got the carbonara and they both were great on flavor great on size great on pasta texture and cheese and everything. Out of those two I would choose the carbonara. Definitely grab yourself a wine or two and the bread do not forget to tip it on the sauce and olive oil. Great chef great crew atmosphere and location clean and well taken care of. Will definitely come back even if it takes me 5 hrs frm home.

I have been trying since this visit to get a refund. I have called and visited, but there is never a manager available to get the refund done. I don't have $43 to give anyone, especially for food I never received. I guess I will be heading to small claims court to get my refund

LoRusso's Cucina: what do users think?
Justin Cook: Some of the best Italian food in StL. Everything tastes soo good and fresh!
Laurie Bergman: We enjoyed an outstanding meal at LoRusso’s. Tenderloin mudega, tortellini, pasta alla vodka, pasta tutto mare, flash fried spinach, toasted ravioli and cannoli all prepared flawlessly. Bill provided friendly and efficient service. Our well-traveled guest said her meal rivaled dinners she has enjoyed in Italy. Of all the fine Italian restaurants in St. Louis, LoRusso’s has proven to be the one we choose most often when hosting out-of-town visitors.Parking: There’s a spacious parking lot adjoining the restaurant.

Jo Masson: Wonderful service. Food is very good and portions are plentiful. Beautiful day on the patio.
Amanda: This restaurant was recommended to us. We waited an hour to be seated so I was sure food was gonna be great. I ordered the lasagna and sadly it was disgusting. I've never met a lasagna I didn't love but I could only eat one bite. I brought the left over home figured maybe my teenage son would like it. He wouldn't eat it after trying it and threw it away. I will never go back.
Emmarose Neibert: Fantastic staple on the Hill. My partner got the special (Lobster Ravioli) and I had the Pesce Con Granchio. Both were fantastic and staff was very kind and personable. Food came out fast despite it being a busy Friday night with a private party in part of the restaurant. We’ll be back!

Chel Kammer-Rossi: So great!!! I’ve been coming here since I was little. It’s def comfort food for me. Italian comfort. For dinners, lunch, and even wedding showers. It’s awesome. Staff is great, management great and food delicious.
Dennis Lin: The venue for our rehearsal dinner shut down on short notice so we had to quickly find a new venue. Luckily, Pietro's was able to accommodate usThey provided us with a very nice, quiet private room, the food was fantastic, and the service was great.Large portions of delicious food and the group dinner also provided everybody with salad and pasta as sides, which I thought was a nice touch. All our guests were very pleasedI really can't say enough about them. Thank you so much!

Carondelet Kitchen: Another Saturday night and we just wanted drinks and appetizers but not just bar food (nothing wrong with that just not tonight). We headed to Pietro’s knowing they would be busy. They were hopping but a table was open at the bar, which was exactly what we were looking for. You can actually get your whole meal served in the bar if you like! Such a cool dining experience. Highly recommended! The drinks are old school healthy pours and very reasonably priced! The appetizers were fantastic! Best zucchini ever! Fantastic mozzarella triangles. My friend swears that nothing else should be call garlic cheese bread after having it here. Prices are reasonable and the service is quick and friendly! It’s been around a long time for a good reason: quality, price and service! You will not be disappointed!!!

Carol H: If you’re on The Hill, Cunetto’s is a perfect choice for authentic, family-made Italian food. My friends and I had dinner there last month, and it was an EXCELLENT meal and a wonderful evening! The restaurant was started by two brothers in the back of a pharmacy and moved to its own building in the 1970s. It’s always been family-owned and operated.Like most other restaurants on The Hill, they don’t take reservations, but when we visited on a Sunday night, we did not wait more than 15 minutes for a table even though the restaurant was almost completely full. The entire staff is made up of lovely people! Nathan was our waiter and was extremely accommodating; he was friendly, efficient, and assisted us as we navigated the menu for the first time. We liked the hostess and associate server as well.We all started with the Insalada Cunetto, which was very tasty and topped with an excellent house dressing. Just be sure to ask for the dressing on the side, as they are generous with their application of it.All our meals were served in generous portions! We all had leftovers (as did most people leaving the restaurant). I had the Cannelloni Tutti de Mare, which was DELECTABLE; my friends had the Linguini Tutto Mare and the Lasagna (which was the evening’s special). I was able to sample both, and they were delicious! It’s impossible to fully describe well-made Italian food, so I won’t try. Just know that, for any lasagna, linguini, and cannelloni you might have had in the past that was wonderful, the offerings at Cunetto’s will be even BETTER!The nicest part of the evening was the pace. No one was rushing, and no one seemed to be in a hurry for us to leave. It was lovely, to linger over our shared dessert of tiramisu (which was simply FABULOUS) and savor all the flavors of our meals in truly beautiful surroundings.Again, if you’re looking for authentic, excellent Italian food with recipes that have been handed down through the generations, you’ll find your best meal at Cunetto’s. We certainly did!
Gwen Norton: I had not eaten there in 34 years. Still the best pasta I have ever tasted.
matt blunt: The tortellini Bianca is outstanding! I have always enjoyed the food here. There is frequently a wait, but that is understandable with the quality of the food. Not the best experience with the wait staff tonight, felt kind of low priority compared to other tables. Have been here several times before and this is the only time that has happened.

Kelly Conzelman: Well, after being gone from St. Louis for several decades I finally got to the hill and my favorite Italian restaurant. I cannot remember how many birthdays my parents took me here, such fun back in the day. That being said, the other night we came in, put our name on the list, 30-45 minute wait. We get to the bar and that's where things fell apart. The bartender ignored us for several minutes, then finally came over and just stood and stared at us. My husband said, "how are you?" and the guy just snarled, "ok" at him. Then, we asked for a wine list and he literally threw one down in front of us without a word and walked off. We both looked at each other and said, "are you ready to go?". I have no idea what was up with this guy, but he was the most unpleasant, rude, hateful person I have ever encountered. I bartended for years back in the day, maybe things are different now but usually, you are nice to the people who will tip you at some point. We told the host what happened and he kind of shrugged. Never again, St. Louis has so many other wonderful Italian restaurants, too bad though!

Dave Thompson: This is quite possibly the best food I have ever eaten. No kidding! We stumbled across this place while driving thought The Hill district and thought we would stop in for a slice. But this is WAY more than just a pizzeria. I had the Chicken Siciliano and my wife had the seafood ravioli. It's common for a few things to be good, but in this case everything was unbelievable. Our waiter Hugo was the best.Stop in. The owner will seat you. Prepare to be amazed.

Ranelle Rigney: First Italian Spanish Restaurant I've been to, and it was good. Needed light fare, and the Gazpacho and Guido's signature salad fit the bill. I got a large salad but should have ordered the small. Only thing I would do different is ask for the dressing on the side. Service was slow, but it's the perennial problem of not enough workers. Our server did a very good job considering all the tables she was covering.
Kimberly Piekutowski: A waste of time and energy.I received an email from Guido's telling me about their Paella. Unfortunately when you go to the website it tells you they are out of stock on everything. Why go when they have nothing to serve you.
Anthony Bevis: Great service, awesome old school atmosphere, and the best crisp crust pizza I can ever remember having!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes St Louis Style Pizza …More
Steve Collins: My wife & I had Mother’s Day dinner comprised of four tapas dishes: shrimp, beef kabobs, goat cheese & gazpacho. All dishes were delicious. Service was fast and friends. Enjoyed house Red wine. We will come back! Highly recommend.
Larkin Gamer: This place was actually really good. The baked spaghetti was easily some of the best spaghetti I've had, and the toasted ravioli was pretty good too. Overall a very nice experience at this restaurant, and it honestly wasn't too expensive. Very nice recommendation if you are in The Hill looking for something to eat.
Bridget H: First visit here and not likely to return. My daughter ordered chicken Parmesan that was pink. We sent it back and still, half of it wasn’t edible. There was no recognition of the error… in fact the waitress asked if she wanted a box. She had the personality of a rock and acted like everything was a bother. The pizza was amazing and we may consider ordering that to go but otherwise we were not very happy with the service.Parking: No parking lot. Street parking only.
Lora Lovinger: One of the worst meals we’ve had in Saint Louis - taste and service. They gave us the wrong orders and took almost an hour to fix. The food that was replaced tasted really bad and they refused to change or cancel after we waited for so long only to be disappointed.
Kalith Smith: Great lunch, fast service and wonderful ambiance.
Theresa Marie: I went there for a baby shower so I really didn't get to taste the pizza which I'm going back for. But the pasta, pizza, and chicken were excellentFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Raymond Mulitalo: We were in St. Louis for one night and wanted to try "St. Louis" style pizza. We are from the west and have never tried Provel cheese nor this style of pizza. We looked online and found this place that looked fun, so sort of blindly went to it.DID NOT DISAPPOINT!This place has atmosphere in spades and the food was excellent. I found the pizza sauce to be on the sweet side for my taste, but that is my taste and not a knock on the quality of the food. And shout-out to this local rootbeer. Best I've had in a while.I am a HUGE fan of this pizza, the local cheese, and more so of this awesome eatery. It was all delicious, including the salad. Can't wait to return and try the small plates next timeThe service was kind, friendly, efficient, and fun. Made the whole experience that much better.
