Deanda Lilly: Ms. Sherry is such a nice lady, that's why I feel bad about leaving this review. Let's start on more positive the chicken wings were tasty as well as smothered potatoes. However I ordered meatloaf and it had no taste but what was disturbing is they drizzled ketchup on the whole meatloaf as if it was a burger🤦🏾. The Mac n cheese wasn't baked and had no taste like bland the noodles were mushy, greens n hamhocks was so salty I couldn't consume. Lemon cake was good my husband loved it. I believe in 2nd chances so I will support again, but hopefully some recipe changes may have been applied. God bless your business🙏🏾

Nobuhle Mamba: My husband and I drove through St. Louis and our road trip home and wanted to stop at a local restaurant that served fried chicken. We both agreed it was some of the best friend chicken we've ever eaten at a restaurant. He ordered the "mild" flavor and I ordered the "honey hot". The sides were delicious as well. Kathy Bartlett: The food is extraordinary, and everyone is extremely nice. The staff treats everyone as if they already know them, making it an enjoyable experience. We ate there two days in a row and thoroughly enjoyed our meals each time. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out some dishes are prepared upon request, making the dining experience that much more personal. I ordered fried chicken with mac and cheese. After he began serving, I was told there are no prices listed. You get 2 sides and a meat. I got 3 bland dry wings and ok tasting need some salt n pepper mac n cheese. I was very disappointed as I'd been wanting to try them. $18.74 is what I paid. Toooo much money for what I received.

The mushrooms we had was very good and the sauce was delicious. I had the fried chicken and wow. I absolutely loved the chicken breast. I am normally not a white meat eater, but I won’t hesitate to eat there white chicken. My mom ordered the chicken wings and wow they was huge and delicious. My wife ordered the chicken tenders and they was awesome and my daughter ordered chicken fried chicken and she loved it. My dad ordered the fried chicken also and he was pleasantly pleased. Just Sturgis: Basic down home cooking. Good food at a good price. What makes this place stand out is the atmosphere, the clientele and the service. This place is familiar. It's comfortable. It's fun. L B: Revisited this place after years away since we don't live nearby anymore. Pretty much the same, typical heavy American food. Great breakfast for those that love a heavy breakfast. My husband loves it! As a vegan myself, there was absolutely nothing on the menu for me, not even soy or almond milk! I got toast with jam and coffee. Definitely a throw back in time, not keeping up with the times and changes in dietary preferences, especially in a trendy city area. My BIGGEST disappointment was my smothered pork chop was cold! I would have rather a pork chop but I guess they already put gravy on them. The dressing was good however I wanted the gravy on the mash not the dressing. No gravy on the mash. I didn’t like the fact that you only get one side. I mean a smothered pork chop and one side. Iesha King: Gourmet Soul catered my birthday party over the weekend and the experience was more than amazing. I ordered the soul food buffet, and it was some of the best food I've ever had. We even had enough left over for Sunday. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The owner and her staff set up all the food at the venue. They were on time, polite and professional. Re Mormino: Chef Pepe Kehm does an incredible job of preparing wonderful dishes from Southern Italy. The menu offers a refreshing departure from the usual Italian fare. The braised octopus is out of this world. It's so tender. You can cut it with a fork. The giant meatballs reminded me of my grandma's. The Sicilian eggplant is layered, non breaded, cheesy goodness. Pepe was kind enough to prepare braciole for us. It didn't disappoint! We finished our meal with zabaglione and berries. The meal was pure perfection from start to finish!

Yang Liu: I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the waiter and owner were incredibly welcoming and friendly. For dinner, I ordered the seafood stew, and I was blown away by the amazing taste and generous portion size. Matt Hitchcock: Total hidden gem! My wife and I loved this unpretentious upscale Italian restaurant. It has a modest, cozy, European vibe. The prices are not listed on the menu so be prepared if that makes you uncomfortable. You are going to pay upwards of $30 / person. My wife ordered the tagliatelle, which was in a super tasty sausage and prosciutto broth. Portion size was good. Probably should have had leftovers but we killed it. Also had the Rucola pizza. We opted for the large. It was enough for 2 people plus leftovers. Wine list was nice and had some interesting Italian options. We opted for a bottle of Nebbiolo Langhe. I heard their menu changes regularly so you might have different options available to you. Perfect dinner and worth splurging and paying a little more than we would for a night out. Recommended.
Amber Callan: Exceeded all of my expectations! Chef Pepe was the kindest and so charismatic. Our server Sanjey was attentive and gave great recommendations. The specials were insanely delicious (especially the goat ragú) and the mock tails were lovely. Chef’s “French Kiss” dessert was EVERYTHING. We will absolutely be back! After one visit, Peno already feels like home.

It was the winter time, so I was especially pleased to see that their outdoor deck was open. They inclosed it and had very well-placed gas heaters as well.Their wine and beer list is well curated and not overwhelmingly large. They also serve wonderful table bread.
